The  Cruisers 455 Express Motoryacht  has been a popular favorite since it was introduced in 2004 as an updated version of the 4450 Express MY. So popular the boat was built for eight years with production carrying into the 2012 model year. The three-stateroom two-head layout is spacious and comfortable, the bridge and aft decks flow together nicely. The 455 is comfortable, solidly built, and is easily handled.

Irish Lass  is a veteran of the Great Loop, having just completed a two year journey in March of 2023. Along the way her owners were constantly maintaining and caring for her with an extensive list of upgrades and improvements.

Powered by a pair of  Volvo TAMD-75s  rated at 480 HP each, her features include a full fiberglass Hardtop with Bridge and Aft Deck climate control, an Onan 11.5 kW Generator, a Magna Sine Inverter, a Bow Thruster and much more.

The Cruisers 455 Express Motoryacht is the big sister of the popular 405 Express Motoryacht. The cockpit features the kind of comfortable seating associated with traditional express boats - no separation between bridge and cockpit. A full express-style windshield provides exceptional wind and weather protection, while owners will also enjoy the benefits of the 455's hard top enclosure with wing doors and full weather enclosure.

Below, the 455 Express Motoryacht will delight owners and guests alike. Behind that deceptively express exterior lies a true aft cabin interior. The bright, airy salon offers a large convertible dinette, comfortable L-shaped sofa with double incliners and a superb view all around. A fully appointed galley with extra-large refrigerator / freezer makes meal preparation on the water a joy for the most discriminating gourmet. And, keeping the desired mood on board is made simple with the deluxe entertainment center and sound system. The luxurious master suite is located aft. It features a corner queen-size bed, generous storage and a large private head with adjoining bathtub, which is also accessible through a pair of lovely French doors. A whirlpool pump is available. The forward stateroom features a queen-size bed, plenty of storage and a walk-in closet. To accommodate additional family members or onboard guests, a third stateroom with twin berths is located amidships.

With plenty of room at the helm for all the latest electronics and available with a range of diesel power options, the new 455 Express Motoryacht is destined to excite the interest of cruising boaters who want the sleek styling and cockpit layout of an express, and the live-aboard comfort and luxury of an aft-cabin motoryacht.

The Cruisers 455 Express Motoryacht combines the best features of an Express Cruiser with those of an Aft Cabin Motoryacht. Above the Aft Deck and the Helm Deck are only one-step removed from each other, all underneath a large fiberglass hard top with Reverse Cycle Heat and AC.

Below is a Three-Stateroom Two-Head layout with a nice central Salon, Galley, and Dinette. The Forward VIP Stateroom features a centerline Island Queen berth with a full privacy door, TV, and large cedar-lined closet.

Aft and to starboard of the VIP is the Third Stateroom with split single bunks and a privacy door. The combination washer-dryer is located in the closet of this Third Stateroom.

The Aft Master is quite large and features an Island Queen Berth, a large private Head and a large Tub/Shower combination with French Doors that open to the stateroom.

Company History

The Company was founded in the early 50-x , when the second generation family of shipbuilders, Thompson opened 14 and 16 ft wooden pleasure boats in Wisconsin . At first the boat went on selling his father's firm, which existed since 1904. First >cabin cruiser with a length of 19 feet was released a year later. The production was delivered in a big way, the week was produced to 60 cases. On the wave of success, for three years the staff was expanded from 20 to 100 people. In 1961, already 300 experts worked at the shipyard, releasing 12 models from 14 to 20 feet in length. Generating the best years for 3 thousands boats, the company began to become a leader in its segment. However, 60 has brought not only increased demand, but new fashions on a fiberglass boat. The brothers strongly resisted this, believing that a good wooden boat is a priori more productive and durable. But against the market for them to survive failed, and in 1966 the production line of wooden boats was closed. The shipyard had to hastily readjust to new realities. Now the stocks are to go fiberglass cruisers of 24 to 30 feet long. But in 1971 was followed by a series of changes of owners, which ended in 1993 with the purchase of the shipyard Corporation KCS International. Then the shipyard was finally known by its present name. Soon, when the economic downturn is behind us, the company was able to expand its model range, offering high-speed cruisers and yachts flybridge.

In Addition to the products of Cruisers Yachts, at the facilities of the shipyard (and four production sites in Oconto , Wisconsin, and a staff of 450 people) are made and the boats of the other two brands. We are talking about owned by KCS International two stamps: Rampage Yachts (vessels for sport fishing) and Azure Sport Boats (sport boats). The latest brand in 2012, management decided to rename the series of her boat in the Cruisers Sport Series. Thus, they came under the "jurisdiction" of Cruisers Yachts, thus expanding its lineup.

Model range

Two major series Cruisers Yachts is >bowrider length of 7-10 meters (a legacy of the Azure Sport Boats), and >with cruisers there are in the wavelength range from 11 to 18 meters. Two older models in the lineup of yachts coming in two versions, with >flybridge without it.

The Company is one of the pioneers in the use of the propulsion system from Volvo Penta.
