We had a superb time on the 90 min evening sail. We saw humpback whales up close and enjoyed the catamaran thoroughly. They passed out warm blankets as it became quite cold. Easy parking and easy to find harbor. Will definitely recommend and return.

Great sail - Captain Mike, Nick and April were extremely pleasant and friendly - a great crew. We had a great time. I am going to do the sail again on my next visit to Santa Cruz. Might try the beer tasting cruise.

Great value and staff, including the Captain, who let my granddaughters, age 3 and 5, take the helm. Drinks reasonably priced. Captain Mike was great for the second year in a row. What a great value! Beautiful, stable boat, great straff, kid friendly, good prices, and fun. Be sure to dress for cold--even if it is hot onshore.

You want to woo your date? Do this! You want to be "one with nature"? Do this! You want to feel like "Queen (or King) of the world". Do this (just don't pull a Leonardo Di'Caprio proclaiming such -- Titanic)! Awesome experience, especially for the price. It's an awesome feeling traversing the friendly waters on a large and spacious vessel. The front, trampoline-like netting adds make the experience that much better as you get to be that much closer to the water while traveling along it.

These guys are amazing!! My family hit bad traffic last weekend, and the boat kept in constant contact trying to help us make it. Jaime was so accommodating and, although we unfortunately missed our boat, we were credited because of unusual circumstances. We always take the O'Neill for all family birthdays and highly recommend to anyone who wants a friendly sail and not to be treated like cattle.

This was amazing and not overcrowded like the Chardonnay! I will be back!

Absolutely awesome. Great trip, excellent team, a perfect evening on the water. Very inexpensive for the experience. Quality beverages were a bonus. So glad we went.

Everyone of the staff was great. Good trip highly recommend to anyone. My son and grandkids loved it also. We didnt have good weather to see sunset but was a great ride anyway.

I had taken a cruise on the Chardonnay a week prior with another group, and enjoyed the experience enough to want to sail on the harbor again. I spotted the O'Neill catamaran in the harbor and wondered if they had tours too. Turns out they did...for nearly $30 less, and what would probably be a smoother ride? Yes, please! At this price point, you're not getting personalized attention from a crew member, or pastries, fruit, and mimosas, but it didn't matter (I'm gluten intolerant and was driving, so...). Bring your own snacks and enjoy the journey! (And yes to what others said below: bring quarters for the meter and layers for unpredictable Monterey Bay summer temps)

I had a sunset sail booking for 2 on a Saturday. Drove down from Santa Clara, got there around 5 pm for the 6:45 pm tour. I thought we could pick up boarding passes anytime 30 mins prior to departure, turns out that is actually when they start doing boarding passes. Parking was a bit of a struggle in the lot of the nearby restaurant, but it's much better if you uses the one closer to the dock. Restaurant parking lot is $1.25~1.50 per hour, and the par kings closer to the dock is metered. They have chang machines available, so just have a dollar or two with you and you'll be fine. I wanted to get dinner, but was worried that I might be late for the boarding, so I called the reservation line and told them about my concerns. The girl on the phone was very helpful and nice, and said she will note that for the crew to expect arrival close to departure. The crew was friendly, the boat was beautiful, the weather was perfect. It got cold closer to sunset, but they do have blankets available. Depending on seasons, you may see some sea creatures. The crew took us over to the dock by Boardwalk, where tons of sea lions rest there. There is a cash/card bar and a restroom on board.

The experience with O'Neil Yacht Charters was excellent! The customer service was the best and they were very understanding when my plans changed. I will definitely be back for another sailing adventure. A definite must do in Santa Cruz as a local or out of town visitor.
