The new design of the Menorquín by Sasga Yacht represents the fusion of tradition and innovation: the new semi-displacement hulls are designed to reduce consumption, at the same time improving performance and maintaining the line and seaworthiness typical of traditional Menorcan trawlers.

Each Menorquín is built with a unique personality to satisfy the individual dreams of her owner; we work with our clients to ensure that layouts, selection of woods, upholsteries and other materials meet with their requirements whilst ensuring that we maintain the essence of our tradition.

A past that influences at the present and future

The start of our enterprising adventure dates back to 1978, when Juan Sastre, founded “Astilleros Menorca”, a shipyard to build motorboats from the traditional boats used by Minorcan fishermen, called llaüts.

Where classic design meets new world technology

Utilizing the most modern design and technology innovations, our boats are manufactured to the highest standards to offer superb stability, comfort and efficiency. Sasga Yachts’ resin infused hull-moulding process produces a strong, lightweight hull that has a perfect fiberglass to resin ratio, resulting in maximum strength and efficiency. Thanks to these innovations and modifications, our entire range of yachts have now been awarded the highest CE A rating. This rating takes into consideration the quality of design, safety features and of course the construction methods.

Sasga Yachts is reinventing its iconic Menorquín range, with even more attractive, reliable and efficient boats. Built with the unique personality of the Menorcan shipyard, Sasga Yachts perfectly combines the essence of the Menorquín llaüt tradition with the latest innovations in design and technology .

In 1978 in the town of Mahón, Juan Sastre created a small range of cruisers, inspired by the elegance of the traditional fishing llaüt of the island of Menorca. In 2010 was born "Menorquín by Sasga Yachts" the personal project of José Luís Sastre that promoted the fusion between tradition and technology. 

The optimization of its hull allows maximum use of space and the increase in standard engines, which the shipyard has applied this season, guaranteeing cruising speeds easily comparable to those of any speedboat. A performance worthy of the Mediterranean Trawler par excellence.

Hermanos Guasch is the official Sasga Yachts dealer in Catalonia where the essence of the Mediterranean is reflected, the ideal landscape to sail and enjoy these special boats.

The Menorquín range focuses on an aerodynamic design , with improved performance, maneuverability and habitability . Both cabin boats and flybridge versions allow you to enjoy sailing with extra comfort and spaciousness. 

The new Signature range allows each client to have a unique and personalized boat to their own preferences . The Balearic shipyard offers the possibility of building a tailor-made project for the greater length models: Menorquín 54 and 68.

The Gala Opening Ceremony of the 5th International exhibition Moscow Boat Show was held on March 20 in the lobby of the first pavilion Crocus Expo IEC. The trade fair has demonstrated once again to be the largest project in Russia exhibiting the best products in the yachting segment.

The Moscow Boat Show is the own Crocus Expo IEC project and is supported by Aston Martin Moscow, Burevestnik Group logistics department and the Yachting specialized magazine.

The exposition space increased up to 30 000 sq m and was accommodated in all 4 exhibition halls of the fairgrounds! 280 Russian (Arkhangelsk, Vyborg, Kazan, Kaluga, Republic of Karelia, Moscow and Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Novorossiysk, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk region, Sochi, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Yaroslavl region) and foreign ( Denmark , Germany , Holland , Greece , Spain , Italy , Cyprus , China , Latvia , Poland , USA , Turkey , Ukraine, Finland , France , Montenegro and Croatia ) companies participated in the show.

Arcady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, was traditionally the first to take the floor at the official opening ceremony. He greeted warmly exhibitors, guests and visitors of Moscow Boat Show. Nikolay Krjuchek, Deputy Chief of the State Inspection on Small size Vessels (GIMS) of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia, Georguiy Shaiduko,Acting President of the Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS), Olympic champion in Atlanta, and Ekaterina Grishechkina, Director of exhibition Moscow Boat Show also spoke at the ceremony.

The high-ranking guests noted dynamic development of the branch which well reasons the intensive growth of the exposition and appearance of rather unique articles.

The visitors for the first time had an opportunity to purchase 19-meter boats, private submarines, Jetlev-Flyers from MS Watersports and also rare yachts and boats.

The questions-and-answers session was organized for the journalists after the ceremony. Mass media representatives could communicate directly with organizers of the exhibition and top officials of the Russian yachting.

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.
