Excellent Friday afternoon drinks and bar food. Drinks great on tap not to expensive. Food quick service and very nice, lots of people enjoying themselves with good casual atmosphere to just relax. Service is welcoming. Well done 👍

We booked for dinner. It was nice to see a good range of food options on the menu, including salads. I had a green feta salad with chicken, it was lovely and tasty. My husband had the pasta which he really enjoyed but there was... an awful lot of it (he said he could have done with just an entree size). Food service was quick. One disappointment was we started with the artesan bread basket- this was disappointing white rolls and one white ciabatta, nothing very artesan about those and the garlic butter accompanying them was melted goo for $14. We did have to ask for plates to put the bread on! Nice river view. Busy place- advised to book.. More

On a walk down Goondoon Street from the Gladstone CBD we chanced upon the Yacht Club. Late in the afternoon we found a spare seat or two and bought a few drinks, whilst listening to the late Sunday afternoon music. That led us to decide... to have have dinner. Having seafood at a coastal town, was not exceptional, we thought it was just ordinary club food, but with an enjoyable setting on dusk. More

We visited for lunch. I ordered the salt & pepper calamari & chips that arrived cold. My partners meal did not arrive for sometime, when it did, his chips were cold too. Although we were provided with hot food after notifying staff of our cold... meals they were not value for money or anything to complement. Unfortunately Would not visit to eat again. More

Meals arrived quickly, even so the fish was over cooked. The battered fish had Had obviously been pre cooked and in re heating was fried to a crisp. Crumbled version better but still over cooked. Great outlook over estuary.

After being told to go here it’s reopened and it’s great well sorry microwaved chicken wings doesn’t do it for me. Very expensive for what we got! The young girl behind the bar good job your the only one on trying to do everything... nice... view but that’s about it. More

The view was nice for Gladstone, but the club is tired & dated sitting on plastic tables & chairs was a bit ordinary. We went for dinner on a Sunday night and they had beautiful music in the beer garden area but stopped at 6pm... would of been good to play for dinner. The meals were a little expensive for quality but saying that my steak was cooked good, but they are bistro style meals charged at restaurant prices. It really wasn’t what I expected I didn’t realise the club was so old it really needs a makeover. Letting cars reverse park right near tables in beer garden is terrible you get a big wave of smoke trying to eat your dinner. Staff at down stairs bar were not overly polite but upstairs they were lovely. Was glad we ate there once but not really our vibe. More

Lovely location but disappointed with food. Seafood bowl had a nice piece of fish but terrible scallops prawns and calamari didn't taste fresh. I felt unwell later that evening.. seafood has to be fresh. Salad dressing questionable. Beef in salad overcooked and salad descriptions didn't... match what was delivered. More

We called in there for lunch with family who were new to Gladstone and they and I were blown away by the quality of our meals. The seafood especially the beer battered coral trout was amazing. The soft fish tacos were delish as was the... seafood bowl for one.. with a vast array of quality ingredients.. the Mediterranean Salad was amazing. Well done! We will be back More

The Yacht Club has always been a firm favourite, but after last night, I get the sad impression that they are going downhill. Most of the food was just average, but the chips were terrible, It was around 7:30 and the chips were chewy, disgusting... and just inedible. It was a mother's Day dinner and it spoiled the occasion. The last time I had chips that bad was at a roadhouse where they had been kept hot for hours. I remember the good old days when Paul was chef and you got perfect chef prepared chips at Yachties. At least then, the question was always asked "How's everything going?" Last night there was none of that. More

This place is an absolute vibe! A stunning spot right down on the river (I do suggest some mosquito repellent though, which they do offer at the bar) The food was AMAZING! Best chicken schnitty and mash I’ve had in a very long time -... was not oily at all. They also make a great espresso martini 👌🏼 Sunday live music downstairs was fun. I really enjoyed the two nights I spent at this venue, gorgeous sunsets, I highly suggest checking it out if you’re in Glady! More

We went for dinner at the yacht club. The barramundi that I had was excellent. My wife had the seafood bowl that she found too greasy. Maybe it was her fault for ordering something fried in batter. We both found the accompanying salads a bit... heavy on oil. Overall, prices were quite reasonable, and the ambience was good with terrific views. More

A lovely view of the water and that’s all the positive I can say about this restaurant. The food was extremely basic and expensive. Very small portions. The staff were slow to respond and not very friendly. They looked unprofessionally dressed. Absolutely would not recommend.

We dropped in with the intention of staying on for dinner. After a couple of drinks and a glance at the menu and drink prices we moved on instead. The menus limited and uninspiring. The drink prices were at the upper end for a club... and more expensive than local restaurants. The view was pleasant but nothing special. More

Over 20 years had some great meals here, but tonight was a fail. Sat down only to be moved despite empty tables around, table sitting almost against the bar with cocktail blender going off. Lights bright and harsh, table wobbly. Need I go on, wish... I went to Woolworths and cooked at home…. Not rushing back. More

Start Sailing Course

UPCOMING COURSES:

Tackers for Juniors.  Dates to be determined.  Last Tackers program was completed in December 2023 and January 2024.

Start Sailing for Adults – Dates to be determined.  Currently running an adult group February/March 2024.

Please place your name on our Expressions of Interest list for both Junior and Adult courses.  The Club uses this list to plan future courses and send emails on the waiting list with enrolment offers when courses become available.

Whether you are a beginner or wish to refresh your sailing skills, Port Curtis Sailing Club offers introductory sailing courses for all ages.  Accredited as a Discover Sailing Center with Australian Sailing our affordable Start Sailing courses form part of the national recognized sailing program.  All sessions are run by an experienced team with a qualified instructor, using club boats, equipment and facilities. Our focus is on Safety, Sailing and Fun.

When can I Start Sailing?

Our Junior program is most suited from age 9 to 14 while the Adult program caters for youth and adults.  Start Sailing is held on Sundays usually between 0800 and 1200

For the best new sailor experience we run our programs with small groups, so places are limited.

Port Curtis Sailing Club is operated by volunteers and aims to run two Junior and three Adult programs each year.  When a course is open for enrollments, please expect an email from our Expressions of Interest list inviting you to register and pay the course fees.
