Don’t miss the chance to charter the great Italian Sanlorenzo 4A motor yacht, beautiful vessel designed by Francesco Paszkowski and launched in 2008.

The outer design of the Sanlorenzo 4A does not go unnoticed. Its dark metallic grey colour, grants it an intriguing appearance. Its sharp lines underline its high performance. Remarkable are the four folding platforms that create four exclusive lateral terraces on the main deck. The lateral doors on the upper deck open up in the shape of a seagull wing. On the main deck the lateral hallways forward have been suppressed to give more amplitude and privacy to the owner’s cabin. In order to sharpen the lines of the yacht and to reduce its balance to the maximum, aiming to provide the required inner comfort, the final height of the yacht has been reduced as much as possible so that there is only a unique steering position, an upper one.

Entering the saloon it is immediately noticeable there is no dining room, instead this generous space is destined for conversation and relaxation.The minimalist decoration is the result of a careful selection of furniture underlined by a conscientious study of the artificial illumination based on the use of light lines in the ceilings and the use of indirect light. The walnut wood predominates throughout the yacht with two finishes, a clearer one for the floor and a more classic one for the furniture and the bulkheads in combination with lacquered objects and leather.

Her timeless styling and spacious interior offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 cabins, whereas the staterooms consist of 3 double and 2 twin cabins, which encompass numerous en-suite facilities.

The owner’s cabin is located on the main deck. Special features here are the ‘folding up’ private balcony and in the en-suite bathroom a whirlpool bathtub from which a sliding window allows to talk with whomever might be in the gym or to have direct views to the sea.

The upper deck welcomes the steering position, the sky lounge and an outdoor aft deck that can ideally be used as entertainment, living and dining area. The fly bridge is equipped with the only real dining room table on board.

Since spring 2009 the yacht features a retractable sun awning which covers the dining area on the fly bridge. This sun awning can also be extended to cover the two L-shaped sofas.  4A has a professional crew of six who are looking forward to welcoming you on board.

With a cruising speed of 22 knots, a maximum speed of 26 knots and a range of 749nm from her 30,000litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.

She also comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

A deck Jacuzzi is perfect for relaxing with friends and family, while taking in the view, particularly after a long day of adventure. The yacht has Wi-Fi connection throughout, so you’ll be able to check emails or share your experience on social media. A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

• The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
• Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
• These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam, or Turkish bath — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

Lady A showcases a streamlined exterior, with a sharp vertical bow, a sleek steel hull, and a lightweight aluminum superstructure. Teak runs across all six decks, creating a classic, high-class feel.

With a beam of almost 38 feet, Lady A offers an abundance of space onboard, too. Designed by the in-house team, the interior combines rich Curly Maple and Macassar Ebony wood with gleaming black and white marbles by Saint Laurent. The generous layout includes seven cabins that can collectively sleep up to 14 guests and an elevator that allows seafarers to easily access all levels.

AVA on a Bahamian demo dive, exploring the wonder under the ocean.

Fun? Absolutely. Beautiful? From both technical and design standpoints, a resounding yes. Safe? No question. Useful? Let me count the ways. Triton’s new sub is a crowd-pleaser that can seat up to eight passengers plus pilot, in a stylish, relaxed, ultra-safe bubble that gives guests a phenomenal view of the undersea world.

Triton recently sent an invite to join CEO Patrick Lahey and eight guests on a demo dive in the Bahamas. It was, in a word, extraordinary. Details? Read on.

Meeting AVA

Arriving at the FBO in Freeport after a quick hop from Nassau, the other guests and I jumped onto a tender headed for the offshore supply ship, Go America . We could see the bright yellow sub on her stern as we sped out across the aquamarine waves. The group was a mixture, some with many sub dives under their belt, along with a few neophytes, but we were all were excited about meeting AVA .

As we stepped from the tender to the ship, AVA greeted us, nonchalantly hooked up to the 8-ton crane. Her bright yellow cape wrapping a large ellipse of unbelievably clear acrylic, AVA flashed her mechanical smile as she awaited her swim. A stunning creature, shiny yellow fenders defined by crisp black accents and flawless elliptical acrylic capsule, revealed her spacious interior with an arc of seating for nine.

AVA is Triton’s new submersible model, the 660/9, meaning she can dive to a depth of 660 feet with seating for nine. AVA , for Advanced Versatile Acrylics, is the first sub with a free-form acrylic pressure hull. In a world of orbs, AVA is an egg offering a range of creative uses for 6,300 liters of air conditioned, beautifully lit interior space with surround sound. Think undersea luxury with cocktails, intimate coral reef dinners, distinctive weddings, VIP casinos, or perhaps even the discovery of a new ocean species. It has happened.

Our shoes off and cameras ready, the crane lifted AVA’s compact shape into the water as we tendered out to make an easy climb through the 23.6-inch hatch. We chose seats, with the captain centered, and all of us wide-eyed, gap-mouthed passengers in a gentle curve.

Chris, our pilot, was undergoing training, with Triton CEO Patrick Lahey to his right, and another experienced pilot to his left. Both pilots from the Scenic Eclipse luxury adventure cruise line were working through the commissioning process in anticipation of offering tours to cruise guests.

Confident in their abilities, Lahey explained, “Both very experienced pilots, they’ve done hundreds and hundreds of dives on the sub they already have on the Scenic Eclipse I. This sub is going on the Scenic Eclipse II.” Lahey also lightheartedly noted that both he and Chris were just “two guys from Ottawa,” an unlikely origin for their respective careers.

Chris, carefully explaining the safety features on board, noted, “We always dive in positive buoyancy. The sub will always want to come to the surface on its own.” Chris then gave us all the details regarding the multiple safety preparations, adding that the sub had run through all the systems with the DNV , Det Norske Veritas, completing the final step in the certification of a new sub. It took six months longer than expected, Lahey commented, “Sometimes when you’re doing something unique and creating something extraordinary, it takes a little longer.”

Lahey noted of this training dive, “We are there for them and we support them fully. The idea is that they should be able to operate and maintain their own craft. Certainly, there’s nothing on this sub that’s any more complicated than the things that are on their vessel. This is infinitely simpler than the vessels they live and work on.”

Knowing the extensive testing and certification this sub has undergone, I had no question about our safety. Shades of James Cameron, Ray Dalio, and Victor Vescovo, we were on our way down.

Chris explained that the noise we were about to hear would come from letting air out of the valves to adjust the thrusters. A good heads up, the sub was quite silent inside with no background noise when the whoosh of the thrusters sent bubbles up. Shortly, we were below the waterline, peering into the ocean.

Into The Magic

Softly, silently, save for our own chatter, we gently descended. That’s where the magic begins.

Lahey introduced us to this world, commenting, “It makes the experience of being in a sub very immersive. You feel like you can touch things. There’s no difference between where the acrylic starts and the water begins.”

AVA’s flawlessly clear acrylic is the same refractive index as water, making the surrounding hull miraculously disappear. The view was wondrous, removing the perception of any barrier between us and the sea. It truly seemed we could reach out and touch the flora and fauna as we cruised among the parrotfish and undulating sea grass.

Lahey added, “If I see something cool and I point it out to you, you’ll get to see it as well. That’s part of what makes this elliptical pressure boundary unique,” alluding to AVA’s distinctive benefits.

Cruising The Ocean Floor

Very quiet and very blue, with wondrous forms and figures, the sea floor reached out in front of us as we gracefully hovered just above, navigating the terrain. At an almost therapeutic speed, forcing us to slow our gaze as we explored the panorama; above, below, far and wide; AVA gave the perception of slowing time as well.

Chris commented, “Everything is in slow motion, as Lahey added, “Cousteau said it best, ‘Speed is the enemy of observation,’ so if you want to look at things, take your time to explore.” And we did.

Back To The Surface

I could have stayed there for hours, but all too soon, Chris was communicating with Go America to coordinate our position for surfacing. Lahey noted that radio frequencies and traditional communications systems like VHF radios do not function in a marine operation.

“Once you go under water all radio frequencies are lost, so you don’t have GPS, you don’t have VHF radios,” Lahey explained, “You have to use sound, so that’s why we use sonar for navigating, seeing far beyond our distance.”

So Much To Explore

Triton has provided subs for a variety of research, leisure, and tourism uses, with a perfect record of over 10,000 dives including some to the deepest trenches. 85m Lürssen yacht Eye (ex Ace) transformed after multi-year rebuild

The 85-metre Lürssen superyacht Eye (ex Ace ) has been photographed for the first time in the Port of Gibraltar following a multi-year rebuild that has left her unrecognisable.

The superyacht checked into refit repair yard MB92 in spring 2022, likely following her sale to a new owner. She was renamed Eye in January 2024 and emerged from the yard just last month. 

Details of the rebuild have been kept tightly under wraps, but recent sightings confirm a complete exterior overhaul – including the removal of her trademark superstructure arches and "eye" balconies.

Eye was delivered by the German yard in 2012. The yacht is known to accommodate 10 guests across five cabins, with each cabin decorated with different themes including Art Deco, classical, contemporary nautical and French Provençal. The master cabin sits on the main deck aft and benefits from a private terrace.

Onboard highlights include a cinema and a gym on the main deck, while a library with a fireplace, a piano and a games table can be found on the upper deck. However, the extent of the work done on Eye 's interiors is yet to be revealed.

This follows the 91.5-metre Oceanco Tranquility 's light refit at MB92 last year .

The three-month stint left her in good condition for the most recent summer charter season and included a number of cosmetic upgrades.

Superyacht Chef Competition to bring together exceptional chefs

Nine contestants will take part in the competition on Thursday 4 April 2024.

The fifth edition of the Superyacht Chefs’ Competition is about to set sail. Organised by the Monaco Yacht Club in partnership with Bluewater, this major culinary event will celebrate the art of gastronomy at sea.

Under the watchful eye of Bernard d’Alessandri , Secretary General of the Monaco Yacht Club, and with the support of a host of industry professionals, this promises to be a thrilling edition.

Adaptability and creativity

Three-starred chef Glenn Viel, a fervent advocate of environmentally responsible cuisine, is heading up a prestigious international jury. He will be joined by famous names such as Marco Tognon, winner of the previous edition, and renowned chef Danny Davies, with over 25 years’ experience on board private yachts.

This year’s edition follows on from last year’s fabulous culinary event . Nine private yacht chefs will be competing: Paulo Ucha Longhi, Joelyanne Le Faucher, Mateusz Mitka, Margot Laurent, Enzo Di Gabro, Giacomo Seregni, Jérémie Gruson, Ava Faulkner and Melvin Costaglioli. Their creativity and adaptability will be put to the test during the competition. 

The contest has all the right ingredients to ‘cook up’ a major event. The chefs will discover the secret ingredients of a mystery basket just before they start cooking. It won’t be ‘all plain sailing’ for the chefs, as the audience can decide to add an ingredient to the basket to throw them off balance.

Under the watchful eye of chef Duncan Biggs, they will also have to meet an anti-waste criterion, adding ‘a little spice’ to the competition. Spectators will also have a say, as they decide who deserves the best culinary presentation prize.

Beyond the competition itself, the Superyacht Chef Competition is part of the wider mission on the part of La Belle Classe Academy, Monaco Yacht Club’s training centre: to promote excellence in all aspects of yachting. So, get ready to be dazzled by extraordinary culinary creations at an event that guarantees a Mediterranean wave of flavours.

With exteriors and interiors from the renowned Florence-based Francesco Paszkowski firm, this superyacht is every bit as stylish as she is comfortable. Throughout all the yacht's on-board spaces, the colour palette is neutral and soft, with plenty of light allowed to flood in.

Die 118 Meter lange Superyacht Launchpad machte letzte Woche ihre Jungfernfahrt.

In der Jachtwelt wird spekuliert, dass ihr Besitzer Meta-CEO Mark Zuckerberg ist.

Hier ist, was wir über das Luxusschiff wissen.

In der Welt der Superyachten ist die Privatsphäre das wertvollste Gut. Es kann nahezu unmöglich sein, die Details einer Superyacht-Transaktion zu erfahren. Vor allem, wenn das betreffende Schiff einen neunstelligen Betrag wert ist.

Doch in der Welt der Bootsblogger wird jetzt spekuliert, dass Meta-CEO Mark Zuckerberg der neue Besitzer von Launchpad ist. Die Megayacht liegt derzeit in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, vor Anker, nachdem sie letzte Woche ihre Jungfernfahrt von Gibraltar nach St. Maarten absolviert hat.

Die Transaktion konnte nicht bestätigt werden. Insider aus der Yachtwelt lehnten es ab, ihre Kenntnisse mitzuteilen. Vertreter von Zuckerberg reagierten nicht auf eine Anfrage von Business Insider.

In der Vergangenheit haben sich Berichte über Zuckerbergs Besitz der Superyacht Ulysses als falsch erwiesen. „Es ist die Standardpolitik von Feadship, niemals Informationen über unsere Yachten in Bezug auf Eigentum, Kosten oder Lieferung usw. preiszugeben“, schrieb Feadship, der Erbauer des Schiffs, an Business Insider. „Ob es sich um ein 18 Meter langes Feadship aus den 1960er Jahren oder ein 118 Meter langes Feadship aus dem 21. Jahrhundert handelt, wir geben keine privaten Informationen weiter.“

Seit einigen Monaten bringen Leute den Namen Zuckerberg bereits mit Launchpad in Verbindung, nachdem im Dezember Berichte aufgekommen waren, dass er die Feadship-Werft in den Niederlanden besuchte.

Anfang März begannen Yacht-Blogger wie eSysman SuperYachts und Autoevolution zu spekulieren. Sie vermuteten, dass Mark Zuckerberg das Boot erworben hat. Ursprünglich war es für einen sanktionierten russischen Geschäftsmann gebaut worden und wurde offiziell für etwa 276,4 Millionen Euro erworben. (Das ist zwar eine scheinbar riesige Summe. Aber immer noch weniger als 0,2 Prozent von Zuckerbergs Nettovermögen von in etwa 163 Milliarden Euro .)

Ein weiteres Indiz, das auf ein US-Eigentum hinweisen könnte, ist die Tatsache, dass die Yacht unter der Flagge der Marshallinseln fährt. Die Marshallinseln sind ein US-Territorium, auf dem amerikanische Käufer ihre Schiffe üblicherweise registrieren lassen, wie aus öffentlichen Schiffsüberwachungs-Daten hervorgeht.

Sollte Zuckerberg Launchpad tatsächlich gekauft haben, würde er sich einer Gruppe von Tech-Milliardären anschließen, die eine Superyacht besitzen. Neben Bezos haben auch Oracle-Mitbegründer Larry Ellison und die Google-Mitbegründer Sergey Brin und Larry Page beeindruckende Boote mit einer noch beeindruckenderen Ausstattung erworben.

Die Website SuperYacht Times , eine Branchenpublikation und Informationsplattform, hat einige der besten Bilder der Yacht. Die Fotos zeigen einen Swimmingpool auf dem Hauptdeck und einen großen Hubschrauberlandeplatz. Über das Innere ist weniger bekannt. Aber ein Schiff dieser Größe kann wahrscheinlich Dutzende von Gästen und Besatzungsmitgliedern beherbergen.

Außerdem verfügt es möglicherweise über Annehmlichkeiten wie ein großes Fitnessstudio , in dem Zuckerberg sein Jiu-Jitsu trainieren könnte, oder ein Spa mit einem Massagebereich. Wir vermuten, dass es auch Platz für jede Menge Spielzeug gibt – dazu könnte auch seine virale Tragflächenfolie gehören.
