Sunken Ship Carried Fertilizer That Threatens Red Sea, U.S. Says

A British-owned cargo ship sank in the Red Sea about two weeks after being damaged in a missile attack by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, and the fertilizer it was carrying now posed an environmental risk, the United States military said late Saturday.

The assault last month on the vessel , the Rubymar, involved two antiship ballistic missiles launched from Yemen. The sinking appeared to be the first since the Houthis began targeting ships in an effort to put pressure on Israel to end its military siege in Gaza.

The U.S. military’s Central Command confirmed the Rubymar’s sinking in a statement on social media. It said the ship sank early Saturday while carrying a load of 21,000 metric tons of ammonium phosphate sulfate fertilizer that now presented “an environmental risk in the Red Sea.”

The ship also poses a “subsurface impact risk” to other ships moving through the area, a busy international shipping lane, the Central Command said.

The Rubymar was an “environmental disaster” even before sinking because the attack created an 18-mile oil slick, Central Command warned last month . It said that the disaster could worsen if the fertilizer were to spill into the sea.

No other details about the sinking, or the risks it posed to the environment or to commercial shipping, were immediately available on Sunday morning. The Rubymar sailed with a Belize flag. The ship’s operator, Blue Fleet Group, based in Greece, did not respond to an inquiry.

After the attack last month, the Rubymar’s 24 crew members were taken to Djibouti by a vessel operated by a French shipping company. Djibouti port officials said at the time that the crew members were from Syria, Egypt, India and the Philippines.

Fears of environmental disaster rise as ship sinks after Houthi attack

A cargo ship sank in the Red Sea after an attack by Houthi militants, taking about 21,000 metric tons of fertilizer down with it, posing a significant environmental risk to one of the world’s busiest waterways and the home of many coral reefs.

The Rubymar was struck by an anti-ballistic missile fired by the Iranian-backed Houthis on Feb. 18 and sank early Saturday after “slowly taking on water” since the attack, U.S. Central Command said on social media early Sunday local time.

“The approximately 21,000 metric tons of ammonium phosphate sulfate fertilizer that the vessel was carrying presents an environmental risk in the Red Sea,” Centcom said, adding that the ship “also presents a subsurface impact risk to other ships transiting the busy shipping lanes of the waterway.”

The ship’s sinking “will cause an environmental disaster,” the Yemeni government said in a separate statement.

The Houthi attack last month caused an 18-mile oil slick and forced the crew to abandon the ship. The Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority, which coordinated the rescue of the Rubymar’s crew members, said the fertilizer onboard was classified as “very dangerous.”

It is believed to be the first time a vessel has been completely taken out by a Houthi strike. For months, the Houthis have been using missiles and drones to attack commercial and naval vessels traversing the Red Sea in protest of Israel’s war in Gaza .

“Yemen will continue to sink more British ships, and any repercussions or other damages will be added to Britain’s bill,” the Houthis’ deputy foreign minister, Hussein El-Ezzi, wrote Sunday on X.

However, a spokesperson with Britain’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said the Rubymar was not a British ship, but was operated by a Lebanese company, flagged to Belize and owned by a company registered in the Marshall Islands.

“We have been clear that any attacks on commercial shipping are completely unacceptable, and that the UK and our allies reserve the right to respond appropriately,” said the spokesperson, who also noted a high level of concern about the potential environment effects of the sinking.

Julien Jreissati, the program director at Greenpeace Middle East and North Africa, called for emergency response teams to be given “immediate access” to the site.

“As well as any further leaks of fuel oil from the engines, the sinking of the vessel could further breach the hull, allowing water to contact with the thousands of tons of fertilizer, which could then be released into the Red Sea and disrupt the balance of the marine ecosystems, triggering cascading effects throughout the food web,” Jreissati said.

“This disruption could have far-reaching consequences, affecting various species that depend on these ecosystems and, in turn, potentially impacting the very livelihoods of coastal communities.”

The Associated Press cited Ian Ralby, founder of maritime security firm I.R. Consilium, as saying that there were “many ways” the Red Sea could be harmed by the ship’s sinking and noted that if the ship remains intact underwater, the impact will be a slow trickle instead of a massive release.

Ralby noted that the sea has a circular water pattern, adding: “What spills in the Red Sea, stays in the Red Sea.”

The Rubymar was heading to Belarus from the United Arab Emirates when it was targeted, The Washington Post reported at the time. The British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations confirmed in an update Saturday that “the vessel has dragged anchor … and is down by the stern.”

The Houthis have said that ships linked to Israel or heading to its ports are legitimate targets , and the United States and Britain have launched several strikes against the group in an attempt to end the attacks — which do not appear to have stopped. On Saturday, Senior Houthi official Mohammed Ali al-Houthi slammed U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for Britain’s support of Israel and said Sunak was “responsible” for the ship’s fate. He also demanded that more humanitarian relief be allowed into Gaza.

Many large ships — which carry about 12 percent of all world trade — have altered their routes to avoid the Red Sea amid the Houthi threat, opting to travel the long way around southern Africa instead.

Such detours could add as much as a month in transit time, delaying the delivery of goods and further disrupting international commerce — a sector already grappling with the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, rising inflation and disruptions caused by Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“With fewer and fewer container ships to target, the odds of another spill with massive environmental impact has increased enormously,” Ralby told the AP.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — A ship attacked by Yemen’s Houthi rebels has sunk in the Red Sea after days of taking on water, officials said Saturday, the first vessel to be fully destroyed as part of their campaign over Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip .

The sinking of the Rubymar, which carried a cargo of fertilizer and previously leaked fuel, could cause ecological damage to the Red Sea and its coral reefs .

Persistent Houthi attacks have already disrupted traffic in the crucial waterway for cargo and energy shipments moving from Asia and the Middle East to Europe. Already, many ships have turned away from the route.

The sinking could see further detours and higher insurance rates put on vessels plying the waterway — potentially driving up global inflation and affecting aid shipments to the region .

The Belize-flagged Rubymar had been drifting northward after being struck by a Houthi anti-ship ballistic missile on Feb. 18 in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a crucial waterway linking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

Yemen’s internationally recognized government, as well as a regional military official, confirmed the ship sank. The official spoke on condition of anonymity as no authorization was given to speak to journalists about the incident.

The British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center, which watches over Mideast waterways, separately acknowledged the Rubymar’s sinking Saturday afternoon.

The U.S. military’s Central Command said early Sunday the Rubymar sank at 2:15 a.m. local time Saturday. It released an image of the vessel on its side as it was sinking.

“The approximately 21,000 metric tons of ammonium phosphate sulfate fertilizer that the vessel was carrying presents an environmental risk in the Red Sea,” it said in a statement. “As the ship sinks it also presents a subsurface impact risk to other ships transiting the busy shipping lanes of the waterway.”

The Rubymar’s Beirut-based manager did not respond to a request for comment.

Yemen’s exiled government, which has been backed by a Saudi-led coalition since 2015, said the Rubymar sank as stormy weather took hold over the Red Sea. The vessel had been abandoned for 12 days after the attack, though plans had been made to try and tow the ship to a safe port.

The Iran-backed Houthis had falsely claimed the ship sank almost instantly after the initial attack. Late Saturday, a Houthi leader tried to blame British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak over the Rubymar.

“You have an opportunity to salvage the ship M/V Rubymar by guaranteeing ... that the relief trucks agreed upon at that time would enter Gaza,” Mohammed al-Houthi wrote in an online message.

Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, the prime minister of Yemen’s internationally recognized government, called the ship’s sinking “an unprecedented environmental disaster.”

“It’s a new disaster for our country and our people,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Every day, we pay for the Houthi militia’s adventures, which were not stopped at plunging Yemen into the coup disaster and war.”

Greenpeace also raised concerns about the ship sinking.

“Without immediate action, this situation could escalate into a major environmental crisis,” said Julien Jreissati, program director at Greenpeace MENA.

“As well as any further leaks of fuel oil from the engines, the sinking of the vessel could further breach the hull, allowing water to contact with the thousands of tons of fertilizer, which could then be released into the Red Sea and disrupt the balance of the marine ecosystems, triggering cascading effects throughout the food web.”

The Houthis have held Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, since 2014, expelling the government. The rebels have fought a Saudi-led coalition since 2015 in a stalemated war.

Satellite pictures analyzed by The Associated Press from Planet Labs PBC showed smaller boats alongside the Rubymar on Wednesday. It wasn’t immediately clear whose vessels those were. The images showed the Rubymar’s stern sinking into the Red Sea but still afloat, mirroring earlier video taken of the vessel.

The private security firm Ambrey separately reported Friday about a mysterious incident involving the Rubymar.

“A number of Yemenis were reportedly harmed during a security incident which took place” on Friday, Ambrey said. It did not elaborate on what that incident involved and no party involved in Yemen’s yearslong war claimed any new attack on the vessel.

A satellite image taken Friday from Maxar Technologies showed new blast damage on the Rubymar not previously seen, with no other vessels around it. Additional satellite images taken Saturday by Planet Labs PBC of the area the Rubymar had been in recent days no longer showed the vessel.

Since November, the rebels have repeatedly targeted ships in the Red Sea and surrounding waters over the Israel-Hamas war. Those vessels have included at least one with cargo bound for Iran , the Houthis’ main benefactor, and an aid ship later bound for Houthi-controlled territory.

Despite over a month of U.S.-led airstrikes, Houthi rebels have remained capable of launching significant attacks. That includes the attack on the Rubymar and the downing of an American drone worth tens of millions of dollars. The Houthis insist their attacks will continue until Israel stops its combat operations in the Gaza Strip, which have enraged the wider Arab world and seen the Houthis gain international recognition.

The attacks have also disrupted aid shipments to both Yemen and Sudan, which is gripped by its own monthslong war . In recent days, the International Rescue Committee said it suspended its aid shipments to Port Sudan through the Red Sea over long delays and drastically increased costs.

However, there has been a slowdown in attacks in recent days. The reason for that remains unclear. Between four to eight U.S. and allied warships now patrol the Red Sea on any given day, said Maj. Pete Nguyen, a Defense Department spokesperson.

On Saturday, the Italian Defense Ministry said one of its vessels, the destroyer Caio Duilio, shot down a suspected Houthi drone in self-defense that appeared to be flying toward it.

“The terrorist attacks by the Houthis are a serious violation of international law and an attack on the safety of maritime traffic, on which our economy depends,” the ministry said.

Ian Ralby, founder of maritime security firm IR Consilium, said part of the environmental dangers lay in the Red Sea’s circular water patterns. It operates essentially as a giant lagoon, with water moving northward, toward the Suez canal in Egypt, during winter and outward to the Gulf of Aden in summer.

“What spills in the Red Sea, stays in the Red Sea,” said Ralby. “There are many ways it can be harmed.”

The Belize-flagged, Lebanese-operated Rubymar had been drifting northward after being attacked on 18 February in the Bab el-Mandeb strait, a crucial waterway linking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

Nord in the Seychelles

The 142 metre Nord is undoubtedly one of the most notable launches of the past few years. She became Lürssen's biggest build to date when she hit the water in 2021 and has continued to turn heads with her sheer size, squared-off bow and striking duo-tone hull and superstructure. After a summer well spent cruising in the Mediterranean, Nord made her way to the Maldives in time for Christmas and is now sitting pretty in the Seychelles, anchored off from its capital Victoria. 

Lusine in London

At 60 metres in length, the Heesen motor yacht Lusine is the largest steel superyacht to be built by Heesen and was spotted cruising into the mouth of the River Thames on February 14. She is one of a string of new European builds that have arrived in London in the past few months to be delivered. Lusine was built under the name Project Falcon and recently completed intensive sea trials in the North Sea, reaching a top speed of 17.7 knots.

La Datcha in Peru

The 77 metre polar expedition yacht La Datcha has made her way back up the South American coastline after spending the winter season doing what she does best - exploring the frozen fields of Antarctica. Equipped with an ice classed hull and helicopter, La Datcha has been to-ing and fro-ing between Ushuaia and Antarctica over the past few months but is now enjoying the warmer waters of Peru.

Arbema in Cuba

Arbema , previously known as Azteca , came under new ownership in 2021 in one of the biggest sales of the year. The 72 metre CRN superyacht was snapped up after just three months on the market and her new owner has naturally been spending the winter season cruising the Caribbean. She was most recently spotted pulling into Havana, Cuba. 

Azamanta in Bermuda

The unmistakable bronze hull of the 55 metre Heesen Azamanta has been spotted pulling into port in Bermuda. She was delivered in 2015 as the first in the Dutch shipyard's 55 Steel series and has been under private ownership ever since. Azamanta 's cruising calendar is often dictated by the seasons - summers in the Mediterranean and winters in the Caribbean - but an ice-reinforced steel hull means she can travel wherever she pleases.

Captain's Logbook

• When performing a "View in Map" from a Contract giver, the logbook tabs are now disabled and the Player can only be in the map tab.

Updated various world event tutorials to include group gameplay recommendations

Updated tutorial text in during the early Helm contracts to include information about the disabling of Fast Travel after currency is collected from the manufactory. Fast travel is disabled until the user returns to the Helm office in Sainte-Anne.

• Producer’s note: We recognise that this fix may not impact all affected players that are stuck at the “Taking the Helm” contract. Fixed an issue where players are stuck in an infinite loading screen after they enter the Helm Office when asked to meet Yanita for the second time

Fixed an issue where the objective for Roving Orders from the order registry incorrectly requires only 1 Skull Rum instead of the intended quantity of 100.

Penzey's Spices returns to Florida and opens in Orlando, challenges DeSantis, GOP

After a few years of absence, one of the most cheerfully progressive, anti-GOP businesses in the country has returned to the GOP-controlled state where Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis frequently says "woke goes to die."

Bill Penzey, Jr., owner of Penzey's Spices , took it as a challenge. The new store in Orlando opened this week, although the grand opening is still at least a few weeks off according to a staffer Sunday.

"The Republicans are looking to ride a wave of racism towards immigrants to victory in November," he wrote a few weeks ago in one of the company's frequent emails. "We have to stop that."

Every newsletter from Penzey includes coupons and deals often themed to match current events, such as the January 6 Box with three different spices including one called "Justice," or "Transgender Remember!" with free packets of "Vanilla Sugar of Love." Every shipment arrives with brightly colored stickers on and in the box and pins and magnets saying "Choose Hope," "Embrace Hope," "Choose Love," "Heal the World" and other inclusive messages of encouragement.

What is Penzey's Spices?

The son of the owners of a coffee and spice business, William (Bill) Penzey, Jr. opened his own mail-order company in 1986 and his first retail store in 1994. The company is based in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and at its height before the COVID pandemic had nearly 70 locations in 29 states. Penzey's is the largest independent spice retailer in the United States, with a strong, almost cultish following for the company's quality spices and frequent sales. And Penzey's outspoken opinions, or possibly despite them.

From the start Penzey added personal notes and messages to his catalogs and later expanded to social media and newsletters, detailing events in his family and community and increasingly speaking his mind about low teacher pay, Native-American-themed sports mascots, white flight, and Black Lives Matter .

Since then he has slammed Donald Trump , urged Trump voters to make amends by donating to civil liberties or anti-hate groups, added an "About Republicans" page to the company website and named the weekend before 2022's Martin Luther King Day "Republicans Are Racists Weekend" with a deal on Mexican, Chinese and Indian spices with profits going to racial justice organizations. Most recently Penzey has been working on bringing back the popular print catalog for Mother's Day, featuring recipes from moms of transgender children.

What will I find at Penzey's in Orlando?

Aside from the politics, Penzey's is known for a wide selection of quality spices ethically sourced from around the world and a lot of its own specialty spice mixtures and themed gift boxes.

Prices tend to run higher than you'll find at Publix but the company offers frequent sales, coupons and offers at the stores and in the newsletters that bring the total back down.

Why is Penzey's Spices coming to Florida?

Penzey signed the lease "at a time when Florida Republicans were on a roll and they were calling Florida the place where 'woke corporations come to die,'" Penzey said in an email last week. "It was a challenge we couldn’t refuse."

But he's aware of the risks.

"I firmly believe this store can make a real difference. So many in Florida today are being needlessly hurt by the cruelty of the Florida Republican party. Now that their governor has so dramatically failed on the national stage and their leadership is in shambles, I see real hope for real positive change rooted in the kindness and caring found in the hearts of cooks."

Where is Penzey's coming to Florida?

The new location is at 1809 S. Orange Ave. in Orlando, about 500 feet away from the Pulse Interim Memorial.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

When is the Orlando Florida Penzey's opening?

They've unlocked the door, Penzey said in a newsletter this week.

"There will be a time a little ways down the road for grand opening specials and getting you to tell all your friends to come shop with us and help prove the governor wrong about Florida being the place where woke comes to die." he said.

Is the Orlando Penzey's hiring?

"Humanity, Required. Retail Experience, not so much."

The company is still hiring for part-time positions . Part-time starts at $15.75 an hour.

'Truth be told, we see business a little bit differently than most," the part-time application reads. "Yes, stores are about selling things. At Penzeys we believe one of those things is ideas. Ideas for equity and equality, ideas for justice, ideas for a better world.

Have there been Penzey's Spices in Florida before?

There were previously several Penzey's locations in Florida in Jacksonville, Winter Park and Sarasota. Penzey's has closed multiple locations in recent years — all the stores closed to in-person shopping during the pandemic — but the company has not responded to emailed questions as to the reasons for the Florida closings.

There are currently 50 locations listed on the company website in 23 states, including Florida.

What time do Super Tuesday polls open and close? Key voting hours to know for 2024

Washington —  Voters in 15 states are poised to cast their ballots for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination on Super Tuesday , March 5, with poll opening and closing times varying by state.

There are 13 primaries and two caucuses set to take place, with 874 delegates at stake for the two GOP candidates still in the race — former President Donald Trump and former South Carolina governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley. 

Super Tuesday is the biggest voting day of the 2024 presidential election, and Trump comes into it with wins in all but one of the Republican contests held so far — Haley notched a win in the District of Columbia's primary on Sunday— and a commanding lead in the delegate race.

Elections for the Democratic presidential nomination are also taking place in 15 states and one U.S. territory, American Samoa, though President Biden does not have a major challenger.

Alabama voting hours on Super Tuesday

Polling places in Alabama open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. local time (8 a.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET).

Alaska voting hours on Super Tuesday

Polling locations open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. local time (11 a.m. ET to 12 a.m. ET). 

Arkansas voting hours on Super Tuesday

Voters in Arkansas can cast their ballots from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. local time (8:30 a.m. ET to 8:30 p.m. ET).

California voting hours on Super Tuesday

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. local time (10 a.m. ET to 11 p.m. ET).

Colorado voting hours on Super Tuesday

In Colorado, voters can go to the polls to cast their ballots between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time (9 a.m. ET to 9 p.m. ET).

Maine voting hours on Super Tuesday

Depending on the municipality and its population, polling locations in Maine open between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. local time. All polls in the state close at 8 p.m. ET.

Massachusetts voting hours on Super Tuesday

Voting locations in Massachusetts open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. ET.

Minnesota voting hours on Super Tuesday

All polling locations in the state open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. local time (8 a.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET for most of the state. Three counties in West Texas are in Mountain time, so polls open at 9 a.m. ET and close at 9 p.m. ET).

Meet Kalen DeBoer’s first group of Alabama football analysts and special assistants

It’s a new day for Alabama football , the Nick Saban Reform School for Wayward Coaches is no more. The Crimson Tide’s now-retired head coach kept his staff stocked with experience, coaches who had been fired elsewhere, grinding to help the Tide as analysts and special assistants as they attempted to rehab their careers.

Saban is out the door, but the way he changed staffing sport-wide remains. New head coach Kalen DeBoer will also have a room full of off-field assistants as he attempts to keep the Alabama dynasty running.

The current list of special assistants an analysts was revealed Monday, when UA updated its football staff directory. Here’s what to know about each of them.

Jay Nunez– Special assistant to head coach and special teams senior analyst

Alabama doesn’t have a designated special teams coordinator as part of its on-field staff. Nunez, who came over from Oklahoma, lists the coordinator job in his social media bio, and will apparently run the group.

Before OU, Nunez worked at Eastern Michigan.

Ron McKeefery– Special assistant to the head coach

McKeefery worked as a strength and conditioning coach under DeBoer at Washington. He also worked with Alabama’s head coach at Eastern Michigan and Fresno State.

Other stops for McKeefery included Tennessee, South Florida and the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals.

Chuck Morrell– Special assistant to the head coach

Morrell was a college teammate of DeBoer at Sioux Falls before beginning his coaching career. He worked with DeBoer throughout their careers, most currently as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Washington.

Kane Wommack will serve as Alabama’s defensive coordinator.

Ali Smith– Executive assistant to the head coach

Smith follows DeBoer from Washington. She served in the same role there, after a stint as special assistant to the senior associate athletic directors.

Jamey Mosely– Football analyst

Mosley returns to the staff as an analyst. He played football at Alabama, winning national titles as a linebacker in 2015 and 2017.

Mitch Dahlen– Football analyst

Dahlen follows DeBoer to Tuscaloosa from Washington. He was an offensive quality control assistant for the Huskies.

He also worked for DeBeor at Fresno State. He played quarterback at Utah and Southern Utah.

Matt Shadeed– Football analyst

Shadeed comes to Alabama as an analyst after working under Wommack at South Alabama. He was assistant head coach and director of athletic performance for the Jaguars.

Other stops for Shadeed have included LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas State and Baylor.

Ryan Trevathan– Football analyst

Last season, Trevathan was working as the offensive coordinator for Northeast Mississippi Community College. Now, he’ll move up in program prestige as an analyst for Alabama.

Trevathan’s resume is dotted with junior college experience in the south. He also worked as a graduate assistant at Ole Miss

Kirk Barron– Football analyst

Barron’s social media lists him as working with the Crimson Tide’s offensive line. He played the position himself in college, as a two-time captain at Purdue.

Mark Sheridan– Football analyst

Sheridan is the brother of Alabama offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan. He previously worked at Virginia.

Built in 2021, Ahpo is designed for exquisite indoor/outdoor living and boasts voluminous interior and exterior spaces across several decks: ideal for bronzing, lounging or entertaining. Exterior Design

Commissioned by an experienced owner, the yacht features exterior design by the illustrious Nuvolari Lenard in collaboration with Lürssen Yachts who completed her naval architecture, and is characterized by her sleek lines and eye-catching profile.

Interior Design

Also from the boards of the Italian designer, her stunning interiors offer up a sophisticated and elegant scheme that borrows inspiration from the natural world, with a design brief focused on connecting her spaces across all six decks.

Guest Accommodation

Ahpo offers guest accommodation for up to 16 guests in 8 suites. A crew of thirty-six, who specialize in creating exceptional charters, are on hand to provide guests with a yacht charter vacation to remember.

You and your guests can enjoy a variety of experiences on Ahpo such as a dancefloor where you and your guests can celebrate in style. If you're in need of indulgence, the beauty salon offers a range of treatments to pamper and restore. Revive yourself after an intense workout in the sauna or for the ultimate relaxation experience, she plays host to a luxury spa. Head to the beach club and take advantage of indoor-outdoor living and entertaining plus maintain your fitness routine and work out in the well-equipped gym. Ahpo benefits from some excellent features to improve your charter such as an elevator, making any part of the yacht quickly and easily accessible. Stay connected to the outside world on long voyages with satellite communications and in addition make your evenings more memorable with stunning underwater lights. With Wi-Fi connectivity you don't have to lose contact with the outside world, unless you want to or guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots with a range of up to 8,900 nautical miles from her 409,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Ahpo features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Onboard Ahpo has a large selection of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. Guests can feel the wind in their hair and jump the waves on one of the WaveRunners. In addition there are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Ahpo also features a seabob, wakeboards, kayaks, fishing equipment, scuba diving equipment and much more. When it comes to Tenders, Ahpo has you covered - with three tenders, including a 12m/39'4" IC yacht Limo Tender.
