The 49.95 metre Benetti motor yacht Jo , listed for sale by Y.CO , has been sold with the buyer introduced by Dimitris Molfesis of DM Yachting.

Built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Benetti to a design by Stefano Natucci , Jo was delivered in 2004 and most recently refitted in 2015/2016. An elegant, minimalist interior by Francois Zuretti in cherry wood and natural oak accommodates up to 14 guests in six cabins comprising a master suite, VIP suite, two doubles and two twin cabins. All cabins on this yacht for sale have entertainment systems and full en suite bathroom facilities.

The main saloon offers a multitude of entertainment options including watching a movie in front of the plasma television screen, listening to the juke box at the bar, relaxing with guests in one of the luxurious seating areas or entertaining in the formal dining room.

Showcasing three expansive decks, filled with numerous lounging and alfresco dining spaces, Jo allows for the best of the outdoor lifestyle. Her sundeck offers the perfect space to spend days soaking up the sun and relaxing in the Jacuzzi spa tub. Her top speed is 17.5 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots with power coming from two 2,285hp MTU 12V396TE94 diesel engines.

Benetti luxury motor yacht JO I is a design and build to high standards. She is a sleek, modern superyacht. This megayacht features a classic interior and spacious decks. She features a wide range of activities.  in addition, she has a professional crew. All make up the perfect environment for relaxation and entertaining during a charter.

ARCHITECTURE

Motor yacht JO I has a beautiful dark blue hull. She boasts naval architecture from Italy’s most famous builder, Benetti.  Her exterior style is by Stefano Natucci.  The interior is a François Zuretti concept. The concept is per the owner’s family style.  The decorative theme is colonial. She has painted cherry wood joinery.

Luxury charter yacht JO offers spacious reception areas and decks. These are for ease, comfort, and stylish entertaining at sea or in port.

ACCOMMODATIONS

This superyacht is designed to fit perfectly with the requirements of charter use, easily accommodating up to 12 guests in 6 cabins – the owner’s suite, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins (with Pullman berths), and a ‘multipurpose’ cabin.

OWNER SUITE

The owner’s bedroom extends across the yacht’s full beam with a king-sized bed positioned in the center. As in the main saloon, the satin-finished cherry wood is set off with light-colored fabrics. Scatter cushions in rich silks finish off the decor.

A small adjacent saloon is furnished with a minibar, a desk, and a plasma television screen, with two armchairs and a coffee table. This area is useful as a private study to keep in contact with a business, or as a private sitting room.

The vast bathroom in the owner’s suite is a lavishly decorated oasis of marble and wood. There is a centrally-located spa with a large, deep bathtub and a shower cubicle as well.

FORMAL DINING SALON

The formal dining room and the lounge form a single saloon area on the main deck of the megayacht. Large side windows allow light to flood into this room in the daytime and afford a great view of the sea. A 42-inch pop-up plasma screen has DVD, satellite, and karaoke.

When the double doors of the saloon are slid back, the feeling of space is even greater, as the aft deck becomes a continuation of the saloon. For those moonlit evenings during a Caribbean yacht charter, guests can relax on the aft deck with cocktails before dinner or enjoy coffee and liqueurs afterward.

There are four guest staterooms amidships on the lower deck.  All bedrooms feature a predominance of satin cherry wood. Conversely, each features an individually themed décor. In specific,  with delicious fabrics in an exuberant mix of colors.  Throws and scatter cushions exist from famous design houses. For instance, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Versace, and Mulberry.

The lounge has a bar area. It is for serving drinks. There is a traditional jukebox for playing favorite records.  The main feature of this room is a central wraparound sofa. It faces the plasma television screen between the glass entrance doors.  This gives the impression of a private cinema.  However, when the doors are open, there is a large alfresco dining area. Further protected by the overhang of the sundeck. An oval table takes center stage with its seating for 12.

The mega yacht features a sun deck with a vast sunbathing area perfect for enjoying the sea and surroundings in complete relaxation. This is a favorite sunning area for Croatia yacht charters as well as any Mediterranean luxury yacht charters.

The sundeck area offers a large Jacuzzi and wet bar.

Superyacht JO available to charter in the Caribbean

Benetti’s 50m/164ft motor yacht JO has announced her availability in Caribbean hotpots such as Antigua and the Virgin Islands .

Part of Benetti ’s popular Golden Bay series, JO is an exquisite example of a charter yacht designed to go above and beyond for her guests.

With her timeless interiors, sharp good looks and wealth of on-board facilities, she was a worthy winner of the crown for ‘Best Family Charter Yacht’ at the 2011 World Superyacht Awards.

Set-up to accommodate every member of the charter party, the sweeping sun deck is primed for basking under the Caribbean sun. A spa pool and wet bar are well-appointed in the middle of the space, alongside a relaxed seating area arranged around an elegant table.

On the aft portion of the sundeck, a raised platform boasts a selection of sunloungers; while forward, guests will find a shaded spread of sunpads encased by steel bulwarks, creating an ideal setting for children to play and adults to relax.

Opportunities to unwind alfresco continue on the upper and main decks, where guests will find plenty of dedicated sofa seating. The main deck aft volunteers a charming dining set-up, which provides shade from the sun without compromising panoramic vistas over the beautiful scenery.

Further adding to her allure, the motor yacht benefits from a treasure chest of water toys, ensuring the aquamarine oceans and their resplendent wildlife can be enjoyed to the fullest on a private yacht charter . Resident windsurf and kitesurf instructors are on hand to help guests get to grips with the equipment, while a Waverunner, waterslide and various inflatable toys will keep charterers entertained for hours.

Stepping inside, guests will be wowed by the motor yacht’s interior styling by Zuretti, who have created a sophisticated ambience with limed oak and glossy cherrywood, gently balanced by comfortable and inviting social spaces and cabins.

Guests can enjoy movie nights in the games room, and then, once the younger members of the charter party are asleep, head up to the skylounge. Here, the jukebox and the bar create glamorous party vibes.

Stepping inside, guests will be wowed by the motor yacht’s interior styling by Zuretti.

At the end of the day, guests can retreat to one of six cabins, which are arranged across one master, two double, two twin suites and one convertible. In total, the luxury yacht sleeps 12.

Around the Caribbean, guests can expect to encounter sun-drenched islands, golden-sand beaches and seaside towns heaving with colourful culture.

Motor yachts from SIRENA MARINE shipyard (Turkey) are designed for long journeys, so all SIRENA shipyard models are properly equipped and certified for unrestricted cruising areas. Only top players in the global yacht industry participate in the creation of SIRENA yachts, such as design studios Cor D.Rover (Netherlands) and Tommaso Spadolini (Italy), as well as the team of architects from Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering (Argentina/France). The hull design is handled by Wolfson Unit (England, University of Southampton). As a result of meticulous calculations by an experienced team of English engineers, SIRENA yachts are distinguished by superbly calculated hydrodynamics, which, in combination with a vertical bow, allows for high speeds with significant fuel efficiency. Perfect balance of form and content!

The Istanbul-based shipyard Sirena Marine has announced that its range of vessels now includes superyachts. The new line is a natural progression from the shipyard’s existing models. The new Sirena Superyacht line will feature eye-catching exteriors by Italian designer Luca Vallebona and naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects from the Netherlands, with the interior designs of each vessel fully customisable to meet the requirements and desires of each individual owner. SUperyacht line currently includes three models, measuring 35, 42 and 50 meters respectively.

Inspired by Norberto Ferretti himself, this Italian shipyard builds stylish lobster boats ranging in length from 14.5 to 27 meters. Among them there are models with an open deck, yachts with a hardtop and an enclosed saloon, as well as flybridge boats. Each model is infused with Italian grace. Coast Guard rescues yacht crew 200 nautical miles west of Palau

The USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) crew is towing the motor yacht Black Pearl 1, located approximately 200 nautical miles west of the Republic of Palau, after responding to a distress call on Sunday. 

The 11-person yacht crew, who reported a locked rudder and flooding in the bilge, is being assisted by the Oliver Henry’s crew with dewatering and damage control as they head for Palau. Their estimated time of arrival is 33 hours.

“Our primary concern is the safety of everyone aboard the Black Pearl 1… We will continue to provide all necessary support to ensure the vessel and its crew reach safety,” said Lt. Chelsea Garcia, the US Coast Guard search and rescue mission coordinator for the case. 

The cutter crew was on a routine patrol for Operation Rematau when they received the distress signal and responded. The vessel is a 154-foot 497-ton Belize-flagged luxury yacht designed for dive excursions. They were reportedly en route to Cebu, Philippines, for maintenance.

By 6:12 a.m on July 21, the USCGC Oliver Henry crew arrived on the scene and noted the vessel’s steering issues, including a locked rudder at 10 degrees, and that the vessel was taking on water.  At 6:53 a.m., the Oliver Henry crew placed a rescue and assistance team aboard the Black Pearl 1 to help with dewatering and assess damage control needs.

“Search and rescue is the Coast Guard’s no-fail mission, and our commitment to this responsibility is unwavering. Fast response cutters, like the USCGC Oliver Henry, are crucial in our ability to respond effectively to emergencies across this vast region. The AMVER system is another critical tool in our mission. Sponsored by the US Coast Guard, AMVER is a global ship-reporting system that allows us to identify and divert participating ships to assist those in distress at sea without imposing additional obligations beyond international law. In an emergency like this, we are all partners,” said Capt. Robert Kistner, commander of US Coast Guard Forces Micronesia. 

US Coast Guard Forces Micronesia personnel are responsible for a 1.9 million square nautical miles search and rescue zone.
