Leo’s In Yacht Boy Summer Mode And Everything Is Right With The World

When mr dicaprio hits the amalfi coast, summer can truly start.

Picky bits for tea, Glastonbury Festival, the first official ‘mugging off’ on Love Island: these are all signifiers that we are in the throes of another glorious summer. But, for me, there’s something else, something even more dependable, more tangible, that solidifies our entry into summer proper; and that’s when Leonardo DiCaprio goes into Yacht Boy Summer Mode.

Any browsers of the Mail Online's Sidebar of Shame will have borne witness to the Wolf of Wall Street star in his element, in his natural habitat - a superyacht - in the summer months. Drink in one hand, Brazilian model in the other, Leo will somehow always look almost disgruntled as his 120 footer bobs on the most expensive seas in the world: Positano, Cannes and Capri are just some of his favourite places to anchor, a truly A-list Below Deck primary guest.

This year, having split from girlfriend of almost five years Camilla Morrone (she of Daisy and the Six fame), Leo, 48, is firing up his first single Yacht Boy Summer since 2018 on a yacht just off the Amalfi Coast. Fresh from being linked to Gigi Hadid, we’re waiting with bated breath to see whether he’ll be joined by his usual slew of twenty-something models but for now, in a rare burst of wholesomeness, he seems to be accompanied by his father George DiCaprio, stepmother Peggy Farrar, and niece Normandie, with whom he was seen this week earnestly exploring the Blue Grotto in Capri.

Leo’s had some flack over the years for these yachty summers: for his body (which has often been dubbed a ‘dad bod’ though quite why that’s a criticism I’m not sure), for his yacht mates who are routinely two decades younger than him (the female ones, that is, his male companions are usually his best friends Tobey Maguire and Sean Penn), also for what is perceived as hypocrisy when he spends so much time campaigning for environmental matters.

Does any of this bother Leo? Nah. He's supremely unbothered, in fact. We see Yacht Boy Summer Leo riding on water toys, smoking a cig, euphorically firing water pistols at bikini clad models. He's truly free on a yacht.

When Leonardo finally stops making this annual summer pilgrimage, when he finally settles down with someone his own age (surely?!), I will long for the summers of love we were lucky enough to witness. No more ‘bevvies’ of beauties hanging off his deck, no more water pistol fights.

Leo’s Yacht Boy Summer brightens up my calendar, and I never want him to grow up.

Yacht Trumps: How Leo’s Summers Played Out

2011 - the yachting may have started way before this but this was as far back as I was willing to research. Leo took to the deck in Cannes with Blake Lively (though in a platonic fashion, I must stress)

2013 - back in Cannes again, and the Daily Mail described this outing best when they said Leo was simply,  ‘alternating between smoking, having some fruity cocktails and chatting to a stunning group of women’.

2014 - a rare foray out of the Med, when Leo chartered a $400m superyacht in Brazil for the World Cup

2015 - back to Cannes, where he invited Juliette Lewis on board the $200 million superyacht Rising Sun which he’d chartered for the summer.

2017 - hitting up St Tropez with Tobey Maguire and a ‘bevy of beauties’

2019 - a spell in Positano with then-girlfriend Camille Morone, and old pal Sean Penn

2022 - Leo was spotted enjoying the South Of France again, this time from on board his friend Sir Philip Green's £100million superyacht Lionheart.

Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted having fun with his family on the Amalfi Coast on Sunday, June 11, and we have the photos!

Leonardo DiCaprio is living a pretty amazing life. The 48-year-old actor, who has been spotted having a lot of fun with models as of late, was seen having a blast with a few of his family members on the Amalfi Coast on Sunday, June 11. Alongside his niece Normandie , dad George , and stepmother Peggy , Leonardo soaked in some sun rays while wearing nothing but a small light blue bathing suit. Then, as you can see in the photos obtained by TMZ , when things got too hot, he took a jump off a beautiful yacht to cool down in the ocean.

Leonardo and his family have been enjoying sleeping and relaxing on the yacht, but they also took a bit of an adventure off the boat this weekend, when they explored the Blue Grotto sea caves in Capri. Like we said, Leonardo and his family are having quite a time together in Italy.

In fact, Leonardo’s been having quite the summer yachting all over the place. He recently went from the Cannes Film Festival straight to vacation mode at the end of May, when he was spotted on a big boat with a few of his buddies, including Tobey Maguire . 22-year-old model Meghan Roche also spent a night with him on the yacht. And let’s not forget his recent reunion with rumored love interest Gigi Hadid . It was during a big dinner party, which also included his dad, stepmom and a few others, so it’s not clear whether there was any PDA, but it was nice to see them together again. And then, they were seen arriving at the same hotel — in separate cars — the next night, so Leo is definitely living it up this summer.

Leonardo DiCaprio Jumps Off Yacht While Vacationing with Tobey Maguire in Saint-Tropez

The longtime friends have been enjoying a sun-soaked summer getaway to the South of France

Leonardo DiCaprio is making a splash on his summer vacation.

The actor and his longtime friend Tobey Maguire were spotted enjoying their time on a yacht in Saint-Tropez on Thursday. Dicaprio even jumped off the deck into the Mediterranean.

The Oscar winner, 48, was seen shirtless, sporting blue board shorts and a silver pendant necklace as he took the plunge.

Meanwhile, Maguire, 48, joined him on the sizable boat, also going shirtless and soaking up some sun. The Spider-Man actor wore a similar bathing suit, topping if off with a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses. 

 The pair were also seen this week enjoying time offshore near the celeb-favorite hangout,  Club 55 , which DiCaprio has visited in the past. Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica also visited in late June aboard a yacht.

The yachting adventure comes about a month after DiCaprio and his The Great Gatsby co-star were spotted leaving Hôtel Costes in Paris in late June. They were also photographed going to Hotel Plaza Athénée , where they attended an event with LeBron James.

Speaking about their friendship, Maguire told PEOPLE in 2013, "[Leo and I] are like any other buddies. There's a lot of laughing and chatting between us. We enjoy doing a lot of things we have in common, like basketball. We like to play and talk about basketball."

As to what brings them together, the actor added at the time: "Leo and I have a lot of trust and respect for each other. We have a close friendship, and I definitely have an affection for Leo."

DiCaprio isn’t the only one getting adventurous on the water On Thursday, Brooklyn Beckham was spotted riding aboar a superyacht in the same spot with his wife Nicola Peltz . The internet chef and photographer showed off his tattoos as he jumped shirtless off the deck of the couple’s boat.

The crime drama follows a series of murders that affect the indigenous Osage Nation after oil is found on their land. When more and more people go missing, the FBI swoops in to investigate.

Killers of the Flower Moon will premiere in theatres on 2 October. That gives good ol’ Leo at least a few more months to relax before hopping back into movie-star mode. I, for one, can’t wait to see what he does next.

Leonardo DiCaprio and his model pal Neelam Gill were seen traipsing around St. Tropez during a lavish getaway with friends on Monday.

DiCaprio, 48, and Gill, 28, were photographed heading towards the same luxury yacht docked in the coastal town on the French Riviera.

They were also joined by the “Wolf of Wall Street” star’s bestie Tobey Maguire and another mystery woman.

An insider tells Page Six that DiCaprio has been prioritizing his time with loved ones this summer.

“He has been spending time with friends and family,” the source says.

Gill looked posh in Versace sunglasses, a leopard-print sheer gown and bright green Gucci sandals ( $660 ) that coordinated perfectly with her oversized shoulder bag. She also toted the iconic Lady Dior purse, which retails for $6,500 , in a beautiful shade of red.

While the British Punjabi model was peacocking in a stand-out ensemble of colors and patterns, DiCaprio, as usual, dressed casually and plainly.

The Oscar winner stayed under the radar in a baseball hat emblazoned with a Jean-Michel Basquiat crown, a light gray T-shirt, cargo shorts and black flip-flops.

Meanwhile, Maguire, 48, took a page out of DiCaprio’s fashion playbook, opting for a simple outfit comprised of dark swim trunks, a black tee and a matching hat.

As for the mystery lady joining the trio, she wore a playful strapless top and jean short-shorts, opting to go barefoot.

Gill and DiCaprio sparked unfounded dating rumors in May when they were seen dining at posh London eatery Chiltern Firehouse with the Hollywood star’s mom, Irmelin Indenbirken.

The family gathering came just days after they were spotted leaving Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France. One month later, the two were joined by Maguire for a relaxed meal at Paris’ Loulou on Rue de Rivoli.

However, a source previously told Page Six that DiCaprio and the Vogue beauty are not dating and just friends.

DiCaprio’s many outings with Gill continue despite his alleged relationship with Gigi Hadid.

He and the “Next in Fashion” host, 28, have been spurring romance speculation since they showed PDA during Paris Fashion Week in September 2022.

Since then, they have routinely been sighted together all around the world – most recently, in the Hamptons earlier this month.

While a witness told Page Six that there is definitely “a vibe” between Hadid and DiCaprio, another source claimed they just roll in the same social circles.

DiCaprio’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Luxury yacht explodes in Leonardo DiCaprio’s summer playground in the Balearics

Yacht catches fire in fomentera, wolf of wall street and spiderman splash out in the balearics, barack obama's favourite super yacht returns to mallorca.

At around 6 p.m. the yacht began to burn at the stern. The boat, which is more than 20 metres long, was anchored in the area around Cavall d’en Borràs opposite Beso Beach and the Tiburón restaurant, one of the most fashionable and famous places on the island.

The flames spread throughout the yacht in a matter of minutes , turning it into a fireball that created a huge column of smoke that was visible from neighbouring Ibiza . The Maritime Safety Agency mobilised one of the vessels to fight the fire.

The same sources indicated that no personal injuries or damage to other vessels were reported. But the Bulletin was told that the yacht is of an age that it will sink and potentially cause serious pollution.

With that out of the way, DiCaprio’s best summer ever for approximately the 20th summer kicked off in earnest with the Fourth of July party that he cohosted with fellow thespian Sean Penn, where volleyball was played and, according to TMZ’s reporting , “There were tons of chicks . . . a lot of whom were in their bikinis.” Noted.

This was the first sign that volleyball may have replaced leisurely bike rides as DiCaprio’s preferred summer cardio. But the action spiked —sorry—later in July, when DiCaprio and one of the top contenders for Hollywood’s “next Leo”—Ansel Elgort—were spotted in an intense beach volleyball game in Malibu. The band of hot white guys with whom DiCaprio would play later extended to Scott Eastwood, son of Clint, but still begs the burning question: If he’s auditioning heirs to his throne, why wasn’t Timothée Chalamet invited?

Last, but not least, after much bro’ing out, DiCaprio is rounding out his endless summer with a jaunt through Europe with Morrone, including the Italian snorkeling and a yacht trip through the South of France during which he looked inexplicably disgusted. Too much sun? Too much Mediterranean salt water? Or just a rare bout of summertime sadness? We get it. It’s not easy being Leo.

Everybody Is Hanging Out Without You on a Yacht

It’s the dead center of July, otherwise known as a logical time for a vacation for so many. Are you in Europe? I’m sensing a lot of you are, judging from Instagram and my own hang-ups. Or maybe you went to a beach somewhere closer to home. A nice lake? Did you pack a cooler of cold ones and play an exhilarating game of chicken with the sun? I’m sure it was diverting, or it will be diverting, or it is right now as we speak. Congratulations on taking time for yourself! 

It’s just—well, hm. It’s not a yacht in the Mediterranean, is it? You’re not exactly floating along some horizon line, a buoyant mansion with a full staff below your feet? Every need and whim met, and a cool ocean surrounding you for when you need to feel refreshed and new? Not that your vacation has to be yacht-based! The Outer Banks coastline, Lake Michigan, and sunny California are still pretty fun. They’re just not technically a yacht.

Maybe this is a bad moment to tell you this, but I think you already sensed it anyway: Elon Musk is on a yacht . Or he was very recently. He’s taking a break from his Twitter entanglement and also from raising the small population that he’s so keen on producing to float along unperturbed in the sunny clime of Mykonos (that’s Greece!). He’s with a “mystery woman” and a bunch of other guys. 

So yeah, Musk, the richest one, is having a nice time. But that has nothing to do with you! You can still have your little vacation and relax! It’s not like Musk is the only guy on a boat. Leonardo DiCaprio and his blood brother Tobey Maguire were doing their own thing last week on the French Riviera. There are photos of both DiCaprio catching rays on a boat and the two actors Jet Skiing .

That’s probably not news to you either. DiCaprio seems to be on a yacht more than he’s off of one. It stands to reason that at any time of year, no matter what’s going on for him or in the world more generally, DiCaprio is on a yacht, about to get on a yacht, or getting his land legs back having just disembarked from a yacht—and Maguire is often right there with him. 

So okay, DiCaprio, Maguire, and Musk are having really good vacations, and that’s great. We’re happy for them! I just think I need a little distance between their vacations and my own this summer. Maybe we’re looking at all the wrong things in all the wrong places. There have to be more paparazzi photos around here somewhere showing stars being more relatable. 

Ah, here we go . Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are sharing a paddleboard in the Adriatic. Instead of springing for two vehicles, they’ve gone with one. It doesn’t even require fuel. Just two boys sitting crisscross applesauce on a simple board and taking it all in. 

This is the people’s yacht. A more environmentally friendly flotilla. The outing has the makings of a buddy comedy I would probably pay money to see in a theater sometime in the middle of August, when it’s worth it just for the air conditioning.

As Harrelson told Ellen DeGeneres on her show recently, he was in the South of France at Bono ’s in 2018, and that kind of trip is an annual thing. “I take a ‘friendship tour’ pretty much every year. I thought about calling it a ‘bender where I leech off my rich friends,' but I thought, No, friendship tour! You just go, stay at their house, drink oblivious, great!” 

Now, that’s relatable. Thank God for Harrelson, really, and his humble little position in life on the back of a paddleboard. Finally I can relax. No need to stress that everyone is hanging out on a yacht without me, ha ha!

Wait, what’s this? Per the Daily Mail , Harrelson and McConaughey are in Croatia with Sacha Baron Cohen, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, Chris Rock, and their partners? “After initially spending a few days in the Croatian peninsula of Istria, McConaughey joined Harrelson and his friends aboard a luxury yacht on Friday.”

Well, shoot.

Leonardo DiCaprio engaged? Ring on Vittoria Ceretti's finger suggests so

L eonardo DiCaprio, 49, may have finally taken the leap. Pictures obtained by Page Six suggest that the actor may have been hitched. The giveaway? A new ring spotted in that finger of his girlfriend and 25-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti. (Also Read: Leonardo DiCaprio introduces Martin Scorsese to Hayao Miyazaki classics. Leonardo, Vittoria's burrito date

Leonardo and Vittoria were spotted on a burrito date at a Mexican restaraunt in Los Angeles. While he wore a white T-shirt, baseball cap, and a face mask, she wore a white tank top, black-and-white sweaters, and a baggy jeans. But what caught attention in one zoomed-in picture was the ring on her finger as she put her arm on Leonardo's shoulder. The report states it's a new addition to the jewellery she wears.

Users on X had interesting reactions to the rumours. One joked, “Surprised he hasn’t broken up with her since she’s 25.” Another wrote, “Looks like an engagement ring, and if so congrats! I think they are a cute couple.” “My friend did it too once and the boy she had a crush saw it and thought she had a man. It was a normal ring," posted a third one.

Leonardo, Vittoria's relationship

Page Six earlier confirmed that DiCaprio and Ceretti were much more than a ‘passing fling’ in September. “They’ve been spending quite a bit of time together over the past few months, and they’re enjoying getting to know one another on a deeper level,” an insider told the publication at the time.

The new couple has been seen spending a lot of time together since fuelling romance rumours over the summer with a very public nightclub makeout in Ibiza, Spain. Ceretti had already met DiCaprio’s mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, and the trio was sighted visiting a museum in Milan in September last year. The actor has visited Italy, France, Spain, and the US alongside Ceretti.

DiCaprio previously dated Camila Morrone for four years before splitting up with Hadid in August 2022, shortly after her 25th birthday. Notably, Ceretti was previously married to Italian DJ Matteo Milleri for three years before their divorce in June of this year.

On the work front, Leonardo will be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson's next directorial.
