Although the history of Jesolo dates back to the fall of the Roman empire, the town itself might not be the best place for history lovers to visit. Yes, there is the “Vidotto” Military History Museum which offers many insights into the first world war that you might not get to see anywhere else, but you won’t find the impressive ancient Roman ruins or other historical buildings like in other parts of Italy. If you want to discover the most interesting historical sites of the area, you should definitely visit Venice, one of Italy’s most ravishing cities. You can learn a lot about the history in one of the many museums, walk around the historic streets and see people dressed as characters of the 17th/18th century. If you don’t want to go too far away from Jesolo, you can always visit places like Casa Pesaro , which is also great if you want to take a walk in nature away from the crowds.
The Bunker della Prima Guerra Mondiale , a bunker from the first world war, is also an interesting historical site to visit to learn more about the history of the area during this period in time.
It can get very hot in the summer, so make sure to bring enough sunscreen for protection. The summer months June, July and August are particularly popular among tourists, so be prepared to share the beach with plenty of other travelers. Water temperatures are also very pleasant in the summer. As the summers can be quite busy, expect lots of traffic on the roads and on the waterways.
Winters can become quite cold in this part of Italy, so be prepared to bring some warm clothes when coming here during this time. If you decide to come here in the winter, you have to share all the space with fewer tourists and get to see the lovely Christmas market.
Renting a boat in Jesolo doesn’t have to be expensive. As many of the boats you can charter in this part of Italy are mainly day charters you can always find a good deal. Prices can vary depending on the season, the amount of people traveling, the size and age of the boat. This will cost you extra, but you can lean back, relax and let someone else do all the work. After all, you’re on vacation in Jesolo!
Before you ask yourself about the type of boat you should rent on your sailing holiday in Jesolo , you should wonder about the type of boat holiday you envision. The charter will give you a brief introduction on the most important aspects of the boat and how to navigate it. Then you’re ready to go!
Cons of renting a RIB in Jesolo

Some charters even offer hiring a captain or skipper in addition to your bareboat charter, meaning that you can lean back, relax and let someone else take care of navigating and operating your boat. It is also the perfect choice for anyone who might feel a little anxious about operating a boat by themselves for the very first time.
There are plenty of locations worth visiting on a day trip from Jesolo by boat - more than the historical center of touristy Venice. Rent a RIB or speedboat in Jesolo and off you go.
Sail from Jesolo to Murano : Visit the beautiful island of Murano by boat. It is the perfect choice for a day trip from Jesolo. Admire the stunning historical housefronts while sailing through the canals and step on the island to get some of the beautiful glass art the island is known for.
Sail from Jesolo to Burano : The island of Burano is just as beautiful as Murano and so worth a day trip from Jesolo. The colorful houses make this a unique location and you should definitely take a lot of pictures to make your friends back home jealous.
Sail from Jesolo to Torcello : While the island of Torcello doesn’t offer as much to see, it is nonetheless worth visiting. It stands as a reminder of Venice’s former wealth and glory and shows what happens to places that were highly praised, but then abandoned and forgotten. You won’t have to deal with the tourist crowds in this part of Venice and can take a relaxing walk along the historical buildings and trees
Sail from Jesolo to San Lazzaro degli Armeni : This square shaped island is worth visiting for the beautiful monastery - basically the only building on the small island.
Sail from Jesolo to Lio Piccolo : Come here to admire the beautiful Palazzo Boldù. If you get hungry, you should stop by Al Notturno to savor some delicious seafood dishes
Sail from Jesolo to Punta Sabbioni : This might not be the most beautiful spot you can visit on a boat vacation in Jesolo, but the views with the lighthouse offer a great contrast to all the history you can admire in Venice. Take in the breathtaking views of the Adriatic sea and feel the wind on your face. Fresh wind always feels amazing and stimulates all your senses.
