New Owners Acquire Crow’s Nest Yachts San Diego

New Owners Acquire Crow’s Nest Yachts San Diego

Crow’s Nest Yachts Seattle announced that it is acquiring Crow’s Nest Yachts San Diego, bringing the Seattle and San Diego offices of this well-known yacht dealer and brokerage under one ownership group.

The new owners — Dan Wood, Vic Parcells and Dale Partna — bring a wealth of knowledge to the San Diego location, with more than 80 years of combined experience in the yacht brokerage industry.

“We’re thrilled to acquire Crow’s Nest Yachts in San Diego,” Wood said. “The Crow’s Nest name is a strong brand, and this gives our customers access to quality yachts up and down the West Coast.”

The three partners took over ownership of the Seattle location on South Lake Union in 2010, growing the business in the past three years. They announced that they are taking over operations immediately at the San Diego location, which is located in the heart of San Diego Bay on Shelter Island Drive.

“We have slips available at our private marina for brokerage boats, as well as clients’ boats passing through,” Parcells said. “We want to be known for offering top-quality yachts, as well as offering a prime location for yacht moorage — complete with parking.”

Crow’s Nest Yachts has set a high standard of excellence in the Pacific Northwest, Parcells said, and the new owners seek to provide exceptional service for clients up and down the entire West Coast, aiming to exceed expectations.

“While we’ve been concentrating our efforts primarily in Seattle the past several years, we are well acquainted with Southern California and know how yacht owners use their boats,” Partna said. “Our goal is to continue to provide quality yachts and service, and to give new owners the best boating experience we can.”

Crow’s Nest Yachts is marking 38 years of service to West Coast boaters. It is a dealer for Westcoast Custom Yachts and Symbol Yachts, with locations in both San Diego and Newport Beach, as well as Seattle. Currently, Crow’s Nest Yachts has a wide selection of yachts available — with an inventory valued at more than $50 million, according to a statement from the company.

  • all the bird **** your crow's nest inevitably will facilitate (and it will whether you want to admit it or not)
  • that it's another structural item requiring major holes to be made into your mast, with associated issues of metal corrosion

Blue Sovereign, I don;'t disagree with your mantra/'s, but holes in the mast are managed by minimal maintenance (unless it's a wooden mast) and correct initial mast dimensions in the first place.

Crows Nest Yachts

Broker/Owner

Dan Wood Crow's Nest Yachts

Office: (206) 625-1580 Mobile: (206) 719-1800

Born and raised in Seattle, WA. Dan Wood began his marine industry career serving, for 5 years, as an alternate skipper and engineer fishing king crab in the Bering Sea. Later running a boatyard in Seattle, he served as a dealer corporate account for two well-established yacht lines. He was offered a job at the dealership and sold boats for seven years. Dan took a project management position building a 115-foot tri-deck yacht. Dan got his captain’s license and piloted the yacht for many years. In 2000 Dan delivered a yacht to the Crow’s Nest in Newport Beach, CA, discovered that the owners planned on opening a Seattle office, and then joined their brokerage business. In November of 2010, Dan, along with two other partners from Crow’s Nest Yachts Seattle, purchased that office and has been operating it as a franchise business.
