Yacht Club of Sea Isle City Wedding | Megan & Joe

Megan & Joe’s Yacht Club of Sea Isle City wedding was held in one of our favorite jersey shore towns. I’ll give you one guess as to where that was. Sea Isle City has been our family’s summer vacation spot for the past several years. And there is always something different but nice about spending time in your favorite beach town after the season…after the summer is over and the town is nearly deserted. Our photo and video teams were excited to be back down the shore for one of the final times of the year to document Megan & Joe’s wedding. And we were excited to see Megan’s family again after we documented her brother, Steve and Allie’s wedding a couple years back. As much time as we have spent in Sea Isle City, this was our first time at The Yacht Club. And after this past season, I think we may have done weddings at all of the yacht clubs of the South Jersey shore towns. But the Sea Isle City Yacht Club is situated right on the bay with a gorgeous view of the water and the sunset. And we sure took advantage of the beautiful last light of day in capturing some gorgeous portraits of Megan & Joe before the reception really kicked off and everyone partied until the end of the night with Drop Dead Sexy. That was quite a blowout party. Megan & Joe, thank you for inviting us to share in your wedding day. You guys and your families were so much fun and we all enjoyed the day with everyone!

A Bright Nautical Wedding at Yacht Club of Sea Isle City in Sea Isle City, New Jersey

Between the anchor stationery, lanterns and navy bridesmaid dresses, Jackie Higgins (30 and a territory manager at Milwaukee Tool) and Andrew Healy’s (29 and in sales) nautical wedding had just the right mix of nautical chic and personal flair. “I could not be more obsessed with nautical items, especially down the Jersey Shore!” says Jackie. “I always wanted this to be my wedding theme.” The couple started their wedding day with a sweet church ceremony. Jackie walked up the aisle in a classic ivory lace wedding dress by Elizabeth Fillmore as her mother’s floor-length veil glided over the wood floors. Andrew fit their theme and waited for her in a preppy navy jacket and neutral pants. After they exchanged vows, all continued their celebration with a seaworthy reception at the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City. While the couple picked their venue before it was even built, their decor complemented it beautifully! The Manic Botanic designed eye-catching arrangements of floating orange proteas and tea light candles as each table was set with an arrangement of orange, pink and blue blooms in a rope-coiled cylinder vase. But the best part, was their wedding cake! The Cake Studio of Ocean City baked an elegant ivory and gold confection with gold rope detailing as a large anchor separated Jackie and Andrew’s initials on the center tier. After each of their 211 guests enjoyed a slice, an eleven-piece band, Chico’s Vibe, brought them onto the dance floor. They even did a performance to “Thriller” by Michael Jackson! Asya Photography captured every moment of the day below. Jackie shares a tip for the taking: “Parents are the best wedding planners! They are patient and willing to do whatever it takes to give their daughter the wedding of her dreams!”

Coastal Beach Wedding at the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City by Tami & Ryan Photography

Childhood sweethearts Alyssa and Alex share a love like none other. Friends since junior high they were destined to be man and wife! See just how this beautiful coastal chic affair was captured by their photographers.

From the photographer, Tami & Ryan Photography : “Four and a half years ago, we had the honor of capturing a  Punta Cana Destination Wedding .  During our time there, leading up to the wedding, we were able to hang out with, and get to know a ton of their guests and their bridal party.  We were lucky enough to meet Alex & Alyssa (and her family! They are so much fun!) Throughout the years following, we were on the edge of our seats waiting for Alex to propose – because we knew he would! Just getting to know them and get a small glimpse of their love for each other, even back then, it was inevitable that these two would some day make it official!”

How They Met

“My husband and I met in 6 th grade. We were good friends for many years and then we began dating our junior year of high school.  We dated for about 10 years before he proposed!”

The Proposal

“Alex took me out on our boat and said we were going to dinner. I threw off his plan when I said I wasn’t really hungry and didn’t want to go to dinner and just wanted to cruise around. So instead since it was so beautiful out, we anchored the boat at Corsons Inlet and he popped the question while we were just hanging out on the boat. Of course, I said YES! He said he wanted to wait until sunset but he was too nervous and couldn’t wait. He had everything planned out with our family and friends for the weekend. Our family was waiting back at our shore for us to celebrate. The next day he had it planned for all of our family and friends to surprise me on the beach for a big celebration and then a party at the house afterwards. It was absolutely perfect!”

“Planning our wedding was fun and went smoothly! My girls helped every step of the way making sure everything that needed to be done was getting done (especially my mom and sister)! It was a little stressful with all the details but it was totally worth it in the end.”

It was the perfect venue because we were able to exchange our vows on the dock overlooking the bay where we spend most of our weekends on the boat. We also love anchoring close to there to watch the beautiful sunset on summer nights.”

Our favorite photos from this wedding day that took place at the Sea Isle City Yacht Club at the Jersey Shore! It was the perfect day and perfect couple to capture photos of during the getting ready, the waterfront ceremony on the docks, portraits on the beach, and reception in the yacht club’s ballroom.

We have seen a few midnight snacks at weddings in the past, but this hotdog stand was the most authentic!

Capturing Classic, Romantic Love Stories

Down the Jersey Shore + Beyond

Four and a half years ago, we had the honor of capturing Courtney & Adam’s Destination Wedding .  During our time there, leading up to the wedding, we were able to hang out with, and get to know a ton of their guests and their bridal party.  We were lucky enough to meet Alex & Alyssa (and her family! They are so much fun!) Throughout the years following, we were on the edge of our seats waiting for Alex to propose – because we knew he would! Just getting to know them and get a small glimpse of their love for each other, even back then, it was inevitable that these two would some day make it official!  We had the BEST time capturing their engagement session at Corson’s Inlet , right near where he anchored their boat and asked her to be his wife! And now, here we are, on a gorgeous September day, getting the HONOR to capture their Yacht Club of Sea Isle City Wedding! <3

Alyssa Getting Ready at Her Parents Shore House

As I walked in to the finishing touches of hair and makeup, you could feel the excitement in the air! Alyssa chose so many beautiful details, and her dress was just flawless!  As I was taking photos, I noticed two framed photos that her mom had on her dresser.  One frame had a photo from her moms wedding, of her grandmther fixing her veil.  The other frame was of her grandmothers wedding, when her great-grandmother was fixing her veil.  So, of course, we had to continue the tradition!

I love that Alyssa chose to do a first look with her dad!  It was the sweetest moment!!

Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready at a shore rental right next to the venue!  How convenient!  It had such great light inside, and the coolest bar to take photos around!

First Look and Portraits on the Beach in Sea Isle City

With hundreds of beach-goers watching, Alyssa slowly walked up to Alex.  You could hear the beach go silent, and a collective gasp as Alex turned around!

We were so excited that Alex & Alyssa’s fur-baby LuLu was able to make an appearance for a few photos!

While combatting the wind, we tried to get as many photos done as we could!  We were so lucky that Alex & Alyssa chose such an awesome bridal party!

Alyssa & Alex stood on the dock, with all of their family & friends watching from the seats and the balconies.  It was in these precious moments that they vowed forever to each other and finally became husband and wife!!

After they kissed and walked back down the aisle, we had a few minutes to capture some “We’re Married!” photos before they joined into cocktail hour!  We love this time with our couples, so full of excitement and the rush of saying I DO!

A Fun Yacht Club of Sea Isle City Wedding Reception

What an enjoyable evening just filled with excitement and celebration!  We love how big and bright the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City is, as well as being able to use the little window up top to capture the fun overhead shots!

Sadly, the sun set during toasts, but that didn’t stop us from capturing some awesome post-sunset photos!  We were just going to do them on the balcony at the yacht club, but since their boat was only next door, Alyssa made the call to head over there!  I’m so glad we did!!!

Since Alex is part Jewish, they had to do the Hora! 🙂  Love it!

Taylor & Ross: Yacht Club of Sea Isle City Wedding

Just as it was finally starting to feel like spring, Taylor and Ross got married in a beautiful beach wedding.  I absolutely loved the beautiful nautical theme Taylor put together with pops of bright coral – perfect for spring! I started off the day with Taylor as she got ready at her parent’s beach house.

All the reception decor complimented the venue perfectly.

I was watching the sun go down amongst a very cloudy sky and I thought I was going to miss out on a sunset shot at this perfect west facing venue, but all of a sudden the sky lit up! It even matched their navy and coral color scheme 🙂

Michaela & Anthony’s wedding at Sea Isle Yacht Club was incredibly dreamy and beautiful! There’s something undeniably enchanting about a summer wedding by the sea. The gentle sound of waves, the soft ocean breeze, and the stunning backdrop of the sun setting over the water create a magical atmosphere that is perfect for celebrating love. The day began at a charming shore home, where Michaela and her bridesmaids got ready for the day. The coastal feel of the home was the perfect backdrop for the bridal details and portraits. If you’ve spent any time in Avalon, NJ, you’ll agree that this home is a picture-perfect representation of how Summer feels in the town!

The first look took place on a beach access path, with the natural greenery as the backdrop. The couple made their way further down onto the beach for more portraits and photos with their bridal party. The entire day was full of blue skies and sunshine, making this Jersey Shore wedding absolutely beautiful. Later in the afternoon, it was time to say “I do!” Guests gathered on the dock at the Sea Isle Yacht Club for the ceremony. The backdrop was a picturesque view of the tranquil water, and a soft breeze through the florals that adorned the altar. Michaela, looking radiant in her gown, walked down the aisle to meet Anthony, who waited with a heart full of love and anticipation. Vows were exchanged against the backdrop of the sea, making for a truly unforgettable moment.

As the sun dropped towards the horizon, it was time for the reception to commence in the ballroom of the Sea Isle Yacht Club. The decor was an array of sunset colors, with shades of pink, orange, and gold adorning every table. The sunlight poured into the space at golden hour, making it feel even more romantic! Before Michaela & Anthony entered their reception, they made their way to the dock one more time for sunset portraits. The sky was a deep shade of orange and red, making for the dreamiest moments. We’re obsessed with how these photos turned out!

Situated bayside with beautiful sunset views, the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City was established in 1940 and is a popular wedding venue on the island. The building was rebuilt in 2013 following Hurricane Sandy and has two floors with dining facilities and bar areas for club members to enjoy.

The first floor dining room offers an extensive menu featuring entrees, sandwiches, appetizers and more. The dining room hosts 175 people plus an additional 65 on the wrap around deck, for a sunset view like no other. Upstairs, the Crow's Nest Bar serves a tavern style sandwich menu as well as select entrees and can host approximately 100 people between the bar, high top tables and outdoor deck. Throughout the summer, the Club offers live entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for guests to enjoy while dining.

In addition, the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City is the place to go for summer sailing lessons. Whether you are a member or a non- member, the Club has certified instructors to teach you everything you could ever want to know about sailing. Lessons are taught to ages 8-18 so be sure to check it out this summer.

Olyvia and Kyle’s Wedding Videography at Sea Isle City Yacht Club

Congratulations to Olyvia and Kyle on their wedding! These two lovebirds tied the knot this past fall on September 19, 2020 at Sea Isle City Yacht Club in Sea Isle City, NJ. Thankfully, our most Trending Wedding Videographers in South NJ got to capture their unforgettable day at the shore.

First, the day began with the bride prep! Olyvia got her makeup done and she looked absolutely gorgeous! They all wore matching light pink robes and popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate! Each robe had each girl’s name written in the back. How cute! Meanwhile, Kyle got ready with his groomsmen and father. He looked elegant in his suit with a navy blue blazer, white dress shirt, pink bow tie, khaki pants, and brown boat shoes. Afterwards, Olyvia got into her beautiful white lace dress. Our Trending Wedding Videographers in South NJ made sure to capture these memorable moments.

Next, the day continued with a stunning and sunny beach ceremony! The lovely weather made this day a whole lot better! The Atlantic Ocean looked breathtaking! After the officiant assisted them exchange their vows, the two sealed the deal with a big kiss and the ceremony concluded with cheers from their guests! Then, the couple made their way to a dock for a romantic kissing shot as the sun set.

Finally, the reception began! Nighttime came but the real party had just started! Olyvia and Kyle had an amazing night to remember as everyone danced, laughed, and of course, ate some cake! Luckily, our Trending Wedding Videographers in South NJ captured the euphoric dance party just the way they wanted!

I have been so excited to blog about Ryan and Taylor’s wedding. I have known Ryan since middle school, and was truly honored when Taylor reached out to me about photographing their wedding day. They are both just genuinely wonderful people and amazing parents. Over the last few years, I have been able to photograph their engagement session, maternity and now wedding day! Their New Jersey wedding at the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City was a dream come true.

New Jersey Wedding Venues – Yacht Club of Sea Isle City

The Yacht Club of Sea Isle City (YCSIC for short) is a New Jersey wedding venue located on the bay in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. This beautiful wedding venue not only gives you stunning water views, but you also have access to the beach for some gorgeous beach portraits. The management team at The Yacht Club of Sea Isle City offers a one-of-a-kind wedding experience, to really make this the wedding of your dreams.

Included with your packages at YCSIC, you also have access to their event coordinator. Their event coordinator is there to assist you in making specific arrangements throughout your wedding planning process. In turn, this essentially makes for the easiest, wedding planning process for your special day. The Yacht Club of Sea Isle City gives every couple a chance to live out their dream wedding exactly how they want it.

The AKP team arrived at the venue on the morning of November 5th. While we were expecting a brisk Fall day, it was actually a rare warmer day for early November, 70 degrees! While I (Andrea) was with Taylor and her bridesmaids getting ready, our second photographer Laura was with Ryan and his groomsmen. Second photographers change the game on your wedding day. Which is why AKP includes it in all of our wedding packages 😉

Ryan spent the morning getting ready with this groomsmen, Father and adorable son, SJ. Before we knew it, Taylor slipped on her dress and had her final hair & makeup touches, thanks to Lauren Ashley Salon & AMG Beauty Bar .

First Looks

More often than not, couples who are having their wedding ceremony off site typically do not do a first look. Logistically, this makes sense as usually there are separate getting ready locations.

Even though Taylor and Ryan chose not to have a first look, Taylor still wanted to share this time with her father and her bridesmaids. First, she had a first look with her dad and then with her bridesmaids. Both incredibly beautiful moments that I know she will remember forever.

Church Ceremony at St. Joseph’s

Next, we all gathered up ourselves and made our way to St. Joseph’s Church in Sea Isle for the ceremony. Woohoo, the moment we have all been anticipating! In a gorgeous church ceremony, Taylor and Ryan said their vows and became husband and wife.

Beach Wedding Portraits

About 2 blocks from the church are direct access to the beach. Of course, we had to utilize this to get some stunning beach wedding portraits. First with Taylor and Ryan’s wedding party and then some solo portraits of the newlyweds.

New Jersey Wedding Reception at YCSIC

Thankfully, YCSIC is only minutes away from the beach and St. Joseph’s church so quickly we were back for cocktail hour, golden hour portraits, and reception! Now one thing you should know about Taylor and Ryan is that they are a fun bunch. Everyone at their wedding sure knows how to party and that’s a guarantee. So pretty much the night was spent with a whole lot of dancing, eating good food, and even an outfit change for Taylor.

Cheers to Taylor and Ryan and the happily ever after for their future!
