Welcome to the Linssen Owners UK Association
The Linssen Owners UK Association promotes friendship and contact amongst Linssen yacht owners for those British flagged vessels cruising in the UK and foreign waters. The association encourages the sharing of information, expertise and cruising experience. Formed in 1999, the Association now has in excess of a hundred members, representing forty different Linssen models. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Linssen yachts – owners and prospective owners. While based in the UK, offshore members are welcome. We have members living in twelve countries. Association activities include an Annual Owners’ Dinner in February/March, and an annual dinner in Maasbracht during the Linssen Yachts Boat Show in November. A confidential Membership List, published annually, is available to all members. The Association is non-commercial and independent of Linssen Yachts BV and Boat Showrooms of London, Linssen’s UK agent, but does exchange information and cooperate with them for the benefit of members. The Association Joining Fee is £30, which includes Membership for the first year, an Association Burgee, and password-access to the website Members Section. The Annual Subscription thereafter is £10. Additional burgees are available to Members at £20 each.

The Linssen Grand Sturdy 500 Sedan Variodeck
It is the largest yacht with an open cockpit that we have built since our company was founded in 1949: the Grand Sturdy 500 Sedan Variodeck®. A luxury ‘traveller’ with the ideal dimensions of 15.50 x 4.65 x 1.20 m. And with a more than ideal clearance height of only 2.75 m. The Grand Sturdy 500 Sedan Variodeck® clears the (water)way for many comfortable cruises, even through the sailing mecca of France. This is the ultimate Linssen for skippers who like to think in terms of possibilities, rather than limitations.
Since 2003, the open cockpit concept has gained a permanent place in the Linssen Yachts product range. In recent years, an extensive line of sedans has been developed, from small (such as the 25.9) to large (most recently the 45.0). And now the flagship, the Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop®, is also getting a Sedan version. But didn’t that flagship already have everything you could wish for as a sailing enthusiast? That was our first challenge in developing this 500 Sedan. How do you remain faithful to the 500 AC Variotop® and at the same time manage to create something new with a unique added value, but without the Variotop? But we managed to do it again.

This marina was built a few years ago and is therefore very modern. It's possible to refuel there and the toilet facilities are clean and tidy. This marina was full of Linssens, both large and small. One thing was noticeable: There were two other Linssen yachts, both Grand Sturdy 500 Variotop®s which, by Swiss standards, are "mega-yachts".

A 13-metre Linssen yacht with a 150 HP engine consumes about 6-7 litres per hour at a cruising speed of 7 knots (13 km/hour) and can travel about 800 nautical miles (1,450 km) on a 820 litre tank.
