My wife and I loved Yachtsman! We both had the ribeye and loved it. The appetizers were had here amazing too. I did get one of the desserts pictured, which as the captain’s sundae. It was amazing! Our waiter was amazing too! He was very personable and had an awesome story with every food item we got.

We LOVE Yachtsman Steakhouse! It is always on our list. I’m so sorry that you’ve always had poor service. We’ve always raved about the service. It’s the first place we ever tried bone marrow. Their wine list is really good too. Sometimes that slow, mellow atmosphere is a nice break from the fervor of the parks. (When we want a rockin good time we head to Biergarten or Raglan Road!)

Shula’s is the absolute best! My husband and I got married at the Boardwalk in Disney in 2008, and we ate at Shula’s the night before with a big group for our rehearsal dinner. Because of that special occasion and the amazing service and food, we have been back many times since our wedding when we return to Disney. Their chocolate souffle is amazing, and it is my favorite dessert anywhere, and of course their steaks and sides are fabulous. Anyway, the service is so great that our waiter from our rehearsal dinner actually remembered us when he was our waiter again a couple years later. I’ve eaten at Le Cellier, Yachtsman, and many of the other restaurants mentioned in the article, and in my opinion, Shula blows them all out of the water. (I do love the food at Le Cellier, but when I am paying that much for a nice steak dinner, I don’t want to be surrounded by sweaty folks in shorts and tshirts and screaming kids.)

We just got back and went to Le Cellier for the first time and OMG… the filet mignon was amazing! So good!! And combined with that truffle butter and mushroom risotto I was in heaven. We also went to Tutto Italia another day and while I didn’t have the steak, my mother-in-law did and said it was one of the best steaks she’s ever had. She said it was definitely on par with the steak she had at Le Cellier.

I always appreciate your reviews as they are candid and don’t fawn over Disney restaurants as some similar bloggers seem to do…I will say that the photos of the food in your posts are really appealing and professionally rendered. It is my understanding photographing food is quite tricky. Again, thanks.

As a solo vegetarian in a party of carnivores, I have experienced Le Cellier and Shula’s. The first time I went to Le Cellier, the food was horrible. I went in November 2017 for my wedding anniversary, it had a great vegetarian dish. On the same trip, we went to Shula’s. Their vegetable plate was huge and yummy. Two thumbs up for those two vegetarian friendly steakhouses. Thanks, AJ!

We loved Yachtsman. We went a few weeks after you did, four adults (two are cast members, so, discount) and it was our first night there, so we had lots to talk about and catch up on and visited a nice, long while. In other words, the slower service didn’t bother us. We hadn’t been at a park all day and we didn’t have little ones with us (Why do people bring a 5 year old to an expensive steakhouse?) Three of us shared the porterhouse, which was amazing, and yes, the sides were excellent and it was plenty for us. Excellent meal all around. Now, at this time the cast member discount for Yachtsman was 40%, so that was a nice chunk of change we saved on that one. It made it that much more delicious! We did Le Cellier a few years ago at lunch, it was nice, but extremely pricy, and I completely agree about the beer cheese soup. Yummm. Was so happy to get it at the cart on the next trip. Husband wants to try Shula’s next time. I’m not a big fan of Wagyu beef (something about the texture). I wish I had seen the steak on the menu at Mama Rosa’s, our food was good, but I’ll try that next time. Thanks for all the wonderful articles you do!

Me and my girlfriend just attended California grill and our service was outstanding along with the amazing 18oz ribeye bone in steak I had that was called the cowboy. It was the best steak I’ve eaten at Disney and I’d even say it was one of the best I’ve eaten ever. Sides were fantastic, apps everything outstanding. I will deffinitly be going back if we make another trip out.

My family has been so disappointed with Le Cellier the past few years. We actually dropped them for this year, now that we can get the beer cheese soup at the refreshment port. Yachtsman had a great steak along with Artists Point-both were much better than Le Cellier. The service was quicker at Artists Point, and the mashed potatoes there….amazing!

Wonderful job, and excellent subject, AJ. I’ve had good meals at Le Celier int the past, before they got obscenely expensive. That’s how I felt about the prices at Shula’s too – wen there MANY years ago – had a “meh:” meal, and horrible, disinterested service – glad to know they’ve changed. I do want to try Yachtsman someday.

We LOVED Yachtsman, and three of us (all adults) shared the Porterhouse with a bit left over, then again we did order some extra sides. It’s my “I wanna go back there” choices, and, yes, the service is not fast. DO NOT take the kids. This trip, we have ADR for Morimoto and Mama Melrose, so I’ll try steak at both!

We had a great meal at le cellier many years ago. We found that trying to repeat great memories/ meals is virtually impossible For our 25 th anniversary we did the Japanese restaurant The spirit around the table amongst the strangers made the evening and the food was great Return trips to try to relive it fell short. We have other examples….. etc

We’ve never eaten at Shula’s in WDW because my husband is a Pats fan. I have, however, eaten at the one in Houston and the steaks are very good (also a killer burger!). We’ve not had an opportunity to try STK, but not sure it sounds like my kind of “scene.” As for Le Cellier and Yachtsman, we like them both. Le Cellier was our favorite for many years until we tried Yachtsman. The steaks at Le Cellier are good, but the price is just so high now for what you get. But mmmm…pretzel bread and cheddar cheese soup! Unfortunately, the service has been iffy on our last couple of visits. Consequently, Yachtsman has become our favorite steakhouse at Disney. It is also pricey, but the atmosphere and service have always been top notch there for us. Beach Club is our home DVC resort, so Yachtsman is right next door and the easy accessibility bumps it up on our list as well.

We were at WDW in March and the strip loin at Jiko was one of the best steaks I’ve had in over 20 years of going to Disney. Few chefs cook a steak as rare as I like it, but the chef at Jiko did and the flavor was remarkable. Loved Yachtsman Steakhouse the first time we went, but on successive visits the steaks have been oversauced or overseasoned.

Went to LE Cellier and STK on my last trip there. Or Cellier was on my list for a long time and this was my forst trip. To be honest nothing disappointed me in our visit. STK we did on a whim and actually we loved it. Most of the food was great and our server was amazing. Overall I actually like STK better. Definitely going to Shula’s next time though!!

One other eatery has amazing Japanese Wagyu beef that is certified and that is Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian. I’ve had it here and it is amazing and not like anywhere else I’ve had this grade. Had it Morimoto and was very good but V & A’s certainly tops it. It can be ordered for a supplementary charge in the various dining rooms. Very pricey but so worth it.

I totally 100% agree with you on everything you said. We go to Schula’s every single trip to WDW. It is my husband’s favorite restaurant on property. I even agree with you about the Buffalo Bills! I also agree about LeCellier and, while we’ve never eaten at STK, from what I’d heard, we wouldn’t enjoy it because we like to talk to each other during dinner. Yachtsman’s Steakhouse didn’t wow us either the last time we were there. In 2014, it was very good, but in 2015, my friend had a chip in her glass and paper on the bottom of her steak…… um, yikes!

Le Cellier (when on Disney Dining Plan) and Hollywood Brown Derby for us. I haven’t tried Shula’s (unlikely to as not on Disney Dining Plan) and Yachtsman (may when I’m staying in YBCR next week). The only time I’ve had a bad meal in Le Cellier was years ago and it put us off going back for a long time (>10yrs) but on recent trips we do it at least once each time. Brown Derby – again multiple trips recent years, so much so that they welcomed us back (a nice touch, CMs!) – never had a bad meal in here. Service in Brown Derby is fractionally better than Le Cellier (because I think the servers are slightly more mature, and permanent), but both are good.

Went to yachtsman in October and had an amazing experience the French onion soup was to die for and split the porterhouse for 2 with my aunt and everything was amazing! My waitress was very attentive and my food was brought out in a timely manner. Waitress was also very nice and went above and beyond for us. Also went to le cellier and had not such a great experience steak wasn’t as good and waitress didn’t really seem to take the same type of care for us as the waitress at yachtsman. Will return to yachtsman for every Disney trio in the future

My personal vote goes to La Cellier. We went the first week of May and it was awesome.We used our dining plan, but I have to admit I wouldn’t mind paying for it either . I have to admit, my favorite there was the lobster salad appetizer and maple creme brulee. The steak was great too, I got the rib eye. I vote for this one as it’s in the park. I have an STK near home, since I’m in LA, and it’s easily accessible. I’ve also eaten at some award winning steak houses, and while it’s not up there up there it does a pretty good job.

I have reservations for both Yachtsman and Le Cellier in the fall. I’m debating on canceling my Yachstman reservation based on some of the reviews I’ve heard lately. I was there years ago and it was great, but maybe things have changed. The Elk on the menu is a draw for me, as I had Elk all over Northern Europe on a recent trip and love it, but who knows if it’ll still be on the menu by the time I get there. Regarding Le Cellier, Do you know if I can get poutine served as an appetizer on the DLX DDP?

I was surprised with a trip to WDW in August but my parents did not make any reservations 180 days in advance because they are rookies and now these great steak places and other restaurants we wanted to go to are all booked! Yachtsman Steakhouse used to be a favorite, next to Jiko! I agree, the experience is not what it used to be. The last time we went, I ordered a filet prepared medium. It came out rare – it was purple! I showed the waiter the temperature was not right by cutting into the middle of the steak and asked if it could be cooked a bit longer. His response was, “well, cut into one of the ends of the steak to see”. Really (???)…. of course the ends would be cooked more towards medium. They seem to have poorly trained staff (not steak house caliber) that don’t match the prices. The waiter put up such a defensive attitude, it wasn’t worth arguing over. A total waste of money!

squish the fish! lol i would pass on boathouse…we had subpar food, even worse service, and was really underwhelmed despite the great atmosphere. but definitely would recommend the California grill. this is the best service, steak, food quality and service ever had at WDW. we also had le cellier twice. once amazing, once just average.

Everyone raved at us about Le Cellier when we were at Disney World last, and we were so disappointed. Overpriced, the service was inattentive, the side dishes arrived cold, and the desserts were terrible. I would avoid it, seriously. Not worth the price and I think people have memories of it from before it went downhill.

I’ve been to all four steakhouses, some more than once. I thought Shula’s was stuffy, and the steak was bland and overpriced. I enjoyed STK immensely; the service was very attentive, the food was tasty, the steak was exactly what I ordered… the only downside was the price, which was rather high. Le Cellier gets a bad rap, but I’ve never had a bad meal there; the steaks were seared perfectly every time. I am actually thankful that there is negative buzz (unwarranted) as it makes it easier to get a reservation. But my favorite continues to be Yachtsman, which I consider the best steakhouse on property. I was there just last week, and my steak was perfect, the service was sterling, and I have no complaints whatsoever. Full disclosure: as a diabetic, I did not indulge in any of the desserts, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the dining experience.

We had always made it a point to dine at The Yachtsman, the steaks were good, prepared exactly as requested and the atmosphere was pleasant. The dress code seemed like a good idea but we quickly learned that it is not enforced as we saw several groups of people in tank tops, baseball caps and flip-flops and that’s fine, but not for a restaurant that supposedly has a dress code. Our last visit there (and it will be our last) my meal was served a full 30 minutes before my wife’s meal was brought out with no explanation and no offer of an apology. Attempts to get the manager’s attention and to the table were ignored and the waiter was scarce at best. The service was glacial the prices were very steep, as it turned out it was not a good dining experience. At these prices one would expect something comparable to perhaps a Ruth’s Chris or Morton’s, it wasn’t even close.

So sorry to disagree with you. In January 2018 we visited Le Cellier and had the worst meal and experience in 30 years going to WDW. We also ate at the Yachtsman and had the best experience, phenomenal service and the best steak I have ever eaten in WDW. I would never return to LeCellier but would make a reservation to the Yachtsman for sure.

Yes, yes, YES! The service at Yachtsman is less then great and so slooooow! Dinner can take two to three hours! Geesh! ~~ I am not a Le Cellier fan and I agree with a previous post: overpriced, inattentive service, side dishes arrive cold and desserts are ‘eh’. Also, Le Cellier lives up to it’s name — it is a dark cellar, all the tables are placed close together and I always feel a bit claustrophobic eating there. ~~ STK is less than impressive as well: loud, service is bleh and the steak is only ok. ~~ I like the steak at Jiko, but the food and the service can be wildly inconsistent. I honestly feel that the filet mingon at The Hollywood Brown Derby is one of the best on property. Also, the steak and lobster at Narcoosee’s is one I never miss. Have yet to try Shula’s: was unable to get reservations on my last two visits. Will try again next trip!

I hate to tell you this but the best steak in all of Disney is at the Brown Derby you have to upgrade $25 to the Kobe filet mignon which would cost you $75 but the steak melts in your mouth the cellier was not good at all narcoossee’s is okay Capital Grille is okay but if you want the best little steak you’ll ever have try The American Kobe filet at the Brown Derby also the lobster and grouper dish is delicious and get the chicken soup for kids in a bowl it has orzo pasta that is also awesome

No AJ!!! The first time we’ve had completely different opinions and my heart is broken lol. Yachtsman is 100% better than Le Cellier. I’ve been probably 5 times in the past 8 years and have never had bad service or steak. Sides are phenomenal (creamed spinach anyone?) But I will say that one thing they do lack on is dessert. Nothing that stands out to me, but really, i’m there for that ribeye, filet or strip. I still love you though! 😀

I’m sorry but Le Cellier is not even close to the best steak on property. Very over-priced compared to quality of steak at a California Grill or Shula’s. Yachtsman is very pricey but I would place them much higher than Le Cellier, I’d put Citricos higher than Le Cellier and they’re not even known for steaks. Disney Springs is really getting some great restaurants and it’s getting hard to dine at a resort restaurant when the choices at Disney Springs are so good. The Boat House, come on, it is really good and what a great setting.

Man you really gotta be rich to eat at Disney now and get a full meal. I hate how all these fancy expensive restaurants think a pretty swirl of a sauce and a perfect placed mini gold potato, three strands of asparagus and a 5-6 oz piece of meat is worth $50-60. I went solo dolo once and tried to eat till I was full when I was hungry and in food alone for lunch a few snacks and dinner I was pushing about $125ish. That’s like a weeks worth of groceries for me lol. I know it’s vacation and a business, but pretty soon only well off people will be able to make dreams come true for their families. I also heard that’s Disney plan to make it less busy with people who have many to spend. Shame on you Disney. Bottom line it’s all about the money it rules the world.

I couldn’t disagree more with your evaluations of three of the four steakhouses. We have never been to STK so cannot comment on that. We found Le Cellier to be not only expensive but disliked the atmosphere and the food as well. We found Shula’s intolerably noisy. We could not even carry out a conversation sitting next to one another. Yes, the food is good but it is also expensive. But then, tell me the name of a signature restaurant in Disney that is not expensive. As far as your evaluation of the Yachtsman we totally disagree. The wine list is fantastic, the food is done beautifully, the stakes are the best to be had in Disney and as for the service we find it impeccable and are certainly not disappointed with the speed at all.

I’m not sure you effectively compared these steak houses to each other. You seem to consistently compare them to other places/restaurants that are not in the “competition”, especially when you compare them to non-steakhouses that also offer “steak” as an option. I like the vast majority of your articles but I think you missed the mark on this one. Having said that, I don’t specifically disagree with your reviews of them (except for Yachtsman’s, where I have received service good enough to call out the manager to make sure they were aware of how happy I was; but not all experiences are identical), as I have eaten at all of them and they are pretty close to what you described.

It must be a European thing ( which I am from), I found all of the high end food places in Disney world highly disappointing, service was rush, food was out of the kitchen so fast it was hard to believe it was cooked to order, highly over priced, server service was poor at least, especially when you feel that all there care about is tips ( yes I know all about that poor pay / tip rubbish, I have worked in catering for over 30 years, ) I will tip if I think you have done a job worth tips, ie getting the order wrong twice does not get a tip,

where to park for yachtsman?

we're going to the yachtsman steakhouse for dinner on my birthday in a few weeks, and we may or may not go to jellyrolls after. we probably won't know until dinner what we are up for. should I go ahead and park at the yacht club, will we be okay if we do head over to jellyrolls for an hour or so, or should we just park at the boardwalk?

It's a very nice and relatively easy walk from the YC to the Boardwalk or vice versa. Either place you park you will have to make that walk there and back (unless you park at YC and then don't go to Jellyrolls). Also, the walk from the self-park lot to the resort is about the same at both places (maybe a little longer at BW). Thus, you can't really go wrong parking in either place.  

thanks. I actually know the area very well, I just wasn't sure if we could park at the yc and stay there for a while past dinner. when I've been there before, I have either stayed at the yc or bwi and never had to think about a car. this trip isn't really a disney trip, I'm heading down to visit a friend who lives locally. but for my birthday, I wanted to go to the yachtsman, and possibly jellyrolls if we feel like it.

1) Parking at YC is only a 3-hr parking pass. 2) If you want to stay longer, do the valet parking. 3) There is no stated time limit on that.

One of the best-kept dining secrets at Walt Disney World is Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

In fact, this is one of my personal favorite places to dine when I want a nice dinner at Disney. 

The beautiful steakhouse is located down a quiet corridor near the pool at the hotel and is worth trying to snag a reservation for. 

If you’re thinking about dining at one of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World keep reading to learn everything you need to know, how to snag the best tables, and of course my suggestions about what to order.

What is Yachtsman Steakhouse at Walt Disney World? 

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a signature dining restaurant located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The restaurant is only open for dinner and is known for its incredible steaks , sides, and desserts. 

And believe me, you DON’T want to skip this Disney dining spot on your vacation!

What is the Vibe like inside Yachtsman Steakhouse?

Since the restaurant is only open for dinner the vibe is very adult. This is a great date night spot for couples , or a treat yourself type mean for solo travelers. 

You’ll feel as if you’re whisked away on a nautical escapade through the great North East of America.

The interior is quite cozy and far away from what you’d expect at a Walt Disney World restaurant.

How Do I get a reservation at Yachtsman Steakhouse? 

The easiest way to get a reservation for Yachtsman Steakhouse is through the My Disney Experience app. 

You can also make reservations on the Walt Disney World website or by calling the reservation center at Walt Disney World.

A word of warning though, the latter of the two options is not the most efficient and phone calls to Disney have been taking upwards of two hours just to talk to someone. 

If you do see a reservation for the restaurant you should go ahead and book it even if it’s not at your intended dining time, because it’s always easier to modify an existing reservation versus make a new one. 

If you decide you don’t want to dine at Yachtsman Steakhouse after you’ve reserved a table, you can cancel without penalty up to 24 hours before your reservation.

What if I Can’t get a reservation for Yachtsman Steakhouse? 

There are a few options if you can’t get a reservation for Yachtsman Steakhouse before your trip to Walt Disney World.

The first is to get to the restaurant right when it opens at 5:00 p.m. and see if you can be seated.

Another option is to eat in the nearby lounge, Crews Cup , which is currently serving the exact same menu as Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Crews Cup Lounge 

The Crews Cup Lounge is located right next door to Yachtsman Steakhouse. Its vibe is very relaxed with tables, booths, and bar seating.

This lounge used to have its own unique menu , but post-pandemic the original menu has not returned and the lounge is serving the Yachtsman Steakhouse menu. 

If you are able to snag a table inside the Crews Cup Lounge, try to get the table near the window looking into the dry-aging room at Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Through the window, you can see the steaks being expertly cut by the restaurant’s butcher for service as guests order.

What’s on the Menu at Yachtsman Steakhouse? 

Yachtsman Steakhouse only serves dinner and everything on the menu is a la carte, meaning every item you order is a certain price. 

Meals start out with a bread basket filled with savory pull-apart onion rolls and cherry multigrain sourdough rolls.

Bread Service

The bread is served with the restaurant’s signature roasted garlic and salted butter.

Yes, that means you can literally smear pieces of roasted garlic and slather butter all over these delightful breads.

When it comes to starters, I really enjoy the French Onion Soup , which is perfectly rich with plenty of onions, sourdough croutons, and topped with melted gruyère cheese. You definitely have to try the Beef Carpaccio as well.

Also the famous Caesar Salad is perfect here!

Entrees and Dessert at the Yachtsman Steakhouse

Entrees obviously mean having a steak , and no matter which one you choose it comes with a sauce or butter, and your choice of side. I always order the 14-ounce roasted prime rib with horseradish cream.

Each entree comes with your choice of accompaniment, with either mashed potatoes, potato-leek gratin, or house-made French fries. I typically choose the gratin or the fries. 

When dinner is done, do not leave the restaurant without trying one of the delicious desserts.

The signature dessert at the restaurant is the Yachtsman’s Chocolate Cake, which is made with dark chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, mixed berry curd, peanut butter crunch, and mousse, and serves two.

This is one thing I love to get even if I’m dining alone so I can take the leftovers back to my Disney hotel room and munch on them the next night too.

My Final Thoughts and Review of Yachtsman Steakhouse

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a lovely option for dining at Walt Disney World, whether you’re traveling alone or going out with friends, or on a date night. 

Here are a few tips to ensure your experience at Yachtsman Steakhouse is the best that it can be. 

• Security at the front of the Yacht Club can be very strict about who they let into the parking lot at the hotel.
• If you don’t have a confirmed dining reservation at the Yachtsman Steakhouse , your better option for dining here will be to take a ride share or take the Disney Skyliner . This is best if you’re staying at one of the resorts that the transportation service goes to and from. 
• I f you’re at EPCOT and want a break from the park and think Yachtsman Steakhouse sounds like a nice place, you’ll want to walk to the back of the park to the International Gateway to get to the Yacht Club and to the restaurant.

Does the Yachtsman have a bar area where you can have drinks and an appetizer if you don't want full meal off main menu?

Yes they do have a bar next door, Crew's Cup Lounge. You can order bread, salads, cocktail shrimp, lobster bisque, truffle fries, or 14oz prime rib.

How strict is the dress code? I have invited guests and I'm not sure if I should tell them to not dress casual (jeans/hoody)?

There is a slight dress code, but as long as you are not wearing cutoff jean shorts or a tank top (for a guy), you will be ok. Personally, we wear golf shirts and jeans or khaki shorts which seems to be the norm.

My family loves this restaurant for a special night out on Disney property! We came here this week for my parent's 35th wedding anniversary. Ken was our server and made our experience spectacular. Ask for Ken!! This restaurant is inside the Yacht Club and is a fantastic steakhouse, also offering other options such as chicken, vegetarian dishes and seafood. They have a full bar and I really enjoyed my martini. The complimentary bread comes with spreadable roasted garlic and butter. This stuff is so addicting! I had the crudo for my appetizer and loved it. The flavors were complex and the texture of the fish was perfect. For my entree, I had the sea bass. I loved the mix of flavors and the crab was a great addition to the dish! For dessert, I opted for a chocolate martini and it was perfection. My entire family enjoyed their meals and we all had the best time celebrating my parents here!

Chilean Sea Bass*

A solid choice for dining on Disney property! My husband and I live in the area and are working on trying all the restaurants, this was next on our list. The restaurant itself is nothing particularly special decor or ambiance wise. I thought it might be a little more intimate but it's Disney so I can't be too shocked at the open concept vibes. Hands down best part of this meal is the BREAD SERVICE. I'd put it up there as one of the best at Disney World. There's sourdough rolls and onion pull apart rolls. Both delicious. And they're served with both butter and a garlic clove. Now, I'm a diehard garlic girly but this was to dieeeeee for. It spread easily and was so delicious. And they'll bring you more if you use it all (which we totally did). I got the New York strip and I will say I've had better steaks in the area. Especially for this price point ($62) I expected it to be excellent. And it was solidly good but not incredible. The mashed potatoes and peppercorn sauce with it were packed with flavor though. For dessert we got the signature chocolate cake. SO moist, chocolatey and delicious. It could've used a little more raspberry imo but we devoured it. The portion was a solid size for the price, we didn't finish it since we were already so full. We also got a cute little anniversary chocolate treat since we told them we were celebrating our five year wedding anniversary!

If you are looking for a steakhouse in the Disney area then Yachtsman Steakhouse is a must try. We had a great experience. The food was delicious and good quality, the service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was relaxing. They are only open for dinner and dining reservations are highly recommended. For starters you get complimentary bread and roasted garlic. The roasted garlic was so delicious especially paired with the bread. I would go back just for their roasted garlic it was that good. For appetizers we ordered the Lobster Bisque and Beef Carpaccio. The Lobster Bisque was really good and everything tasted fresh and rich. I highly recommend that as a starter. The Beef Carpaccio was also really good. The beef was tender and all the ingredients combined together made it a fresh and enjoyable appetizer. For entrees we got the 22-oz Angus Bone-In Rib-Eye Prime and the 7-oz Filet Mignon. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and were tender and had amazing flavor. My kid's ordered off their kid menu and they also enjoyed their food. One of the things I liked about this restaurant is they have a good kid's menu. For sides we ordered the mashed potatoes, loaded baked potato, truffle macaroni and cheese, hot honey-bourbon brussels sprouts, truffle fries and the sauce flight. All the sides were really good and I was happy with the portion sizes. The only thing I don't recommend ordering is the sauce flight. It was ok but nothing great and we didn't really use the sauces on anything because everything was already delicious and flavorful as is. This is a restaurant I will definitely go back to again.

Our first dining experience at DW did not disappoint! Super engaging, friendly, and clever staff - as one would expect from Disney - from check in to dessert delivery, the team took excellent care of us. Guests are treated to a bit of a meat, kitchen, and dessert tour before being seated. Our table had a great view of the pool and walkway. To add to our comfort, the tables are situated strategically with enough space to walk through without bumping hip to elbow or backing into someone else's chair. The ambiance was instantly comfortable and felt upscale with the architectural touches and thematic color palette. Dress casually or smartly, either works. Be prepared for some delicious food! We chose a variety of tastes to share to make the most of a trip about the menu (I missed a pic of the Green Goddess Bibb Salad). The rib-eye was seasoned perfectly, but we enjoyed the variety of dips from the sauce flight. The Brussels sprouts were delectable! The lobster Thermidor was decadent but very subtle in flavor. It was PLENTY to share. Great food, personable staff, and comfortable setting all made for a remarkable first impression, as well as a soothing evening after a 14 hour travel day.

Yachtsman is a hit or miss Resturant and is very expensive when it is a miss but this last time we went we both very much enjoyed our meals. I was able to have a nice meal as a vegetarian and my mom was able to have a good streak. Overall this last time I would say I would recommend it. That being said the few times before that were not good service and incorrect orders and cold food so it really depends on the night.

Yachtsman is a high end steakhouse that I personally think is overrated. Everything we had was just okay to me, nothing made me have to go back. We started with the cheese plate which comes with a little mini loaf of bread, which is adorable but not what I was really looking for to put my cheese on. Of the multiple different types of cheese my mom and I who both love cheese only liked two or three of them which was disappointing. We then both got the filet which took a very long time to come out of the kitchen. It was cooked well, however the sauce didn't have much flavoring nor did the actual steak itself leaving me with a very bland meal. Also, I think because it was the end of the night we both got HUGE portions of mashed potatoes which was silly to me and they didn't have much flavoring either, not even butter. Overall I personally feel there are better steak restaurants on property that I would go back to first before here if I am in the mood for steak. However, if you are looking for an upscale, high priced, okay meal then I would recommend this to you.

BAO. BAO. BAO. BAO. BAO. BAO. BAO!!!! THE MOST AMAZING SERVER! Wonderful customer service. Gave him a cast compliment through the Disney World app. Last time we tried Steakhouse 51 at Contemporary Resort. Yachtsman Steakhouse is definitely the superior steakhouse between the two. Both in quality and taste. My group of 7 made a reservation here and it was truly one of the best meals we had there. We did have a cast member discount so I'm sure that played into our experience. But even without the discount, it was a delicious meal! A majority of us split the ribeye. Keep in mind that you can swap any of the potato sides that comes with the steak for a different potato side. I ended up splitting a 22 ounce ribeye with potato gratin with my husband. It was the perfect amount of food between the two of us. As a table we ordered the Summer Bib Salad, Truffle Macaroni and Cheese, Red Wine-braised Mushrooms, and Hot Honey-Bourbon Brussel Sprouts. We also had a Strawberry Cheesecake. Our meal started off with the Summer Bib Salad as well as the bread basket (sourdough and onion rolls) served with butter and roasted garlic. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS. The summer bib salad was so insanely fresh and the green goddess dressing was perfection. Both the breads were delicious and a different experience. The butter was wonderfully whipped and light and the roasted garlic was so delicious smeared on a roll. THE SALAD AND BREAD ARE ABSOLUTE MUST HAVES. When our steaks arrived, we realized that the two ribeye steaks had been switched. To our surprise, the kitchen offered us a replacement and told us it was no problem at all. We had even started to eat our steaks and our potatoes before we noticed and the kitchen gave us back both potatoes as well as both ribeyes. We were so impressed! The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. They were seasoned well. The potato gratin was also tasty, especially that butter sauce. All the sides were yummy. I'd definitely order the brussel sprouts and mushrooms again. The truffle mac and cheese was not as strong of a side because I thought the noodles were a bit overcooked and the sauce was not as flavorful as I wanted. The strawberry cheesecake was also delicious and surprisingly citrusy. Overall, a truly wonderful and delicious meal. Special shoutout to Bao for making the meal so special. We will definitely come back!!!!

One of my favorite restaurants at Disney. Be prepared, this could be a long meal. We were a table of 8 with four kids under the age of 7 and our server served us at a leisurely pace. Whereas our friends at the table next to us, a family of 5 with three kids under 7 were in and out before our kids got their Mickey cookie to paint (which is a really fun experience for the kids). So it really depends on your server, but every experience I've had here has been on the longer side. The food here is where they shine. They bring complimentary bread and the pull apart onion bread is to-die-for (there is another type of bread that they bring, but I didn't touch it once I heard pull apart onion bread.) My husband and I got the 22 oz ribeye and a caesar salad to split and I think we'll do that every time. We also got a side of mushrooms, which were amazing. I wasn't enamored with the au gratin potatoes that come with the ribeye. It had a heavy cheese sauce poured on top that I didn't like (next time I should ask to sub it out). However, the steak was perfection. I actually ate it cold the next day and it was still delicious. We got the kids grilled chicken (they don't have chicken tenders). They do have fries though even though it's not on the menu. We got a side of fries and a side of the mickey cookie, which is edible paint and cookie/white chocolate pieces. We bought a second mickey cookie for my other son, since he was eating off everyone's plates and the cookie by itself is $9. Might be worth ordering the kids meal knowing the cookie alone is that expensive. I got a dirty martini, which was good, but the passionfruit margarita was excellent. If I'm feeling a margarita I will definitely get that over the dirty martini. You can't go wrong with either. The decor is all dark woods. It is basically a nice steakhouse where it's not weird to have young kids. That's what I love about Disney, you can bring your kids to nice meals. Every time we stay at Beach Club I will book dining here.

Came back with the family and it was the same stellar experience. This seems to be the place that older couples like to dine. I'm very aware when there are older couples at Disney, because usually they aren't excited to be seated near a family with a four-year-old and two-year-old. I don't know what they expect coming to Disney, but that's a whole other thing. Since we had a 4:40 p.m. reservation, it was pretty empty, except for said older couples. This is a fine dining establishment, so we did give the kids tablets with their headphones to keep them pretty quiet. Think tablecloth and dark wood atmosphere. The service here is superb. Both times I've had wonderful servers (I even saw the server who waited on my friends and me in November). They are prompt, friendly and give great suggestions. I got dirty martinis and they were delicious. I started with the lobster bisque, which was amazing. I love the complimentary bread they come with roasted garlic and butter. My favorite bread basket at the parks. It paired very well with the lobster bisque. Then for dinner I got the Prime Rib medium rare. It was delicious. I took half back to the room and ate it for breakfast the next day. It even tasted good cold! It's very fatty though, so if you don't like your meat fatty you may be slightly disappointed. I love my meat fatty so it's perfect for me. My husband got mashed potatoes with his filet and it was very good. Super creamy. We got grilled chicken with fries and mac and cheese for my son. The mac and cheese was delicious and he enjoyed it best. Next time I should see if I can just get him mac and cheese. Overall this is still one of my favorite restaurants at Disney. I'll definitely be back.

The seafood tower is to die for. Cost, yes it will be expensive. The Seafood Tower for Two is $140. But when you consider the Filet was $55, this makes it more palatable. The good news is, even though the food is expensive it is also very good. This isn't the case with all Disney restaurants (I'd actually argue that most Disney restaurants are pretty bad and still the same price). They can also be surprisingly speedy. My friends joked that our waiter seemed like he wanted to take his time and make this an experience, but I rushed him through because we wanted to make Hanson. This isn't a dine and dash place (we still were there for about an hour and a half), but they will move things along if you aren't looking to stay for three hours. (On the other hand, they are happy to have you stay for three hours if you want). The Seafood Tower had snow crab, lobster, mussels, shrimp, scallops, poke tuna and octopus "salad". The octopus salad was octopus and potatoes. The potatoes were a weird choice and I felt like it could do without. However, everything was absolutely delicious. The seafood tasted really fresh. My friends ordered a ton of sides. I really enjoyed the mushrooms and the truffle mac and cheese. The potato al gratin was ok, but opt for the other two first. The mac and cheese was actually my ultimate favorite, with a good amount of truffle. I started with an espresso martini, since I needed to be awake for Hanson. It was ok, but I think I'm just not an espresso martini person. I switched to a dirty martini with vodka and found that to be very good. Some people dress up, others don't, so you won't be out of place either way you go. I wouldn't suggest a t shirt and jeans, but this is Disney so you'll get away with it. Overall, we had a great experience.

I already can't wait to go back again! The atmosphere is beautiful. Although it is Disney world, many people were dressed up but some were still dressed a little casual. The service was awesome from the start. The gentleman who seated us was so nice. Our waitress was very attentive and super nice! I loved the 2 bread offerings. There are the onion rolls and sourdough rolls. I preferred the sourdough rolls. The salted butter was delicious! The truffle Mac and cheese was the best I've ever tasted. This is my new favorite truffle Mac! The roasted prime rib was heavenly. I see why a lot of people chose this restaurant as one of their favorite steak places in Disneyworld!

Great meal experience that will be a repeat on our Disney trips. The complimentary bread service is amazing, with their signature pull apart onion bread and sourdough rolls served with garlic confit in addition to butter. Our meal started with the French Onion Soup and Wedge Salad. The dressing on the salad was fresh and delicious, and not super heavy for a blue cheese dressing. The soup was flavorful, but a bit too salty. We then had the beef carpaccio. I've been looking for a replacement to the one that was removed from the menu at The Brown Derby. While this was not it, it was very good with the addition of artichokes. However, the description mentioned fried capers and I didn't find any. We ordered the NY Strip to share as our main, and it was perfectly cooked and plenty of food for the two of us. We are spoiled when it comes to steaks, so while the cut was nothing special, it was well prepared. We were too full for dessert, so I drank mine in the form of a chocolate martini with a hint of raspberry from the Chambord. And our meal ended with complementary petits fours which was the perfect sweet finish to the meal.

Yachtsman is my favorite restaurant on Disney property. Food is always amazing, delicious drinks, and great service.
