Stayed for 2 nights last week.just an area of the Yacht club carpark ,but good facilities in the club. Easy stroll into city centre and docklands or bus about 200 yds away although a bit erratic timetable. Must pre-book which is a it of a saga todo but staff in club very helpful . Club has cafe/restaurant and bar. Quiet at night.

Great place close to the center and the Docks. We were in bay 2 and didn't have a good view of the harbor because of a long high AirBnB boat in front of us, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

nicely located on the edge of the center! hospitable and trusting and in thinking along with solutions. nice bar too. sanitary neat and spacious with nice showers! outside is only water (no electricity). we went there on spec and were lucky that there was still 1 spot available for 2 nights. we used these 2 nights / days to discover the beautiful and very surprising city of Liverpool. Recommended!

Has anybody stayed in marina car park lately. Conflicting info on different forums about permission to stay overnight. Either way I assume still ok to park there during day. Is there any other good daytime parking near waterfront’ for a 6.5m motorhome. Thanks in advance. Ps. I might take a while to reply as travelling today.  

You have to go to their website and pre book. They applied to the council to formalise the current situation, but their application was refused. But they are appealing and currently I believe you can stay for £15 per night for a max of 3 nights, in a five day period. Thanks Fisherman. We have decided non Wild Camping this time & are staying at Hidden Corner. Stopped off at Marina on way, chatted to Parking Enforcement Officer who happened to be doing his rounds. By Marina there are basically 3 car parks. A. Yacht Club private car park ( with Heras fenced off area for overnight parking. ) B. Big central car park, definitely NO motor homes at any time. C. Small side car park, motor homes welcome, can take up 2 space width. £15 for any stay up to 24 hrs. Can pay by phone, card or coins at machine on corner opposite yacht club.  

Stayed earlier this year just before all the mince from council we found it a great stop for visiting city attractions museums and stuff but did find it a bit too close to very expensive looking apartments remember thinking this won’t last shame because the facilities and the staff in the marina were first class food and bar in marina were also good hope they manage to sort somthing out we need more places like this

Price Hike Subsequent to the appeal the price for use of the parking at the marina has been increased to £30. Still not too costly when you consider you are in the middle of a major city and inside a gated yard. Craig, the bloke who looks after the motorhome parking is the man to talk to. As I understand it, the use of the payed for parking outside the yard has been withdrawn after the appeal process was unsuccessful. Also bear in mind the new £30 charge includes a £10 spend in the bar. Having said all that I'd be more inclined to find a CL outside Liverpool and use the wrinkles bus pass. Only downsides if you do decide to use the marina in my opinion are the showers are very tired and access to fresh water/ tip off and chemical disposal is not easy. Cheers H

What’s the price increase all about how is that supposed to fix any problem don’t know if marina is private and taking advantage of council banning parking on outside car park owned by council. It’s a great location for visiting Liverpool but I won’t be encouraging them at £30 a night but there will be people who pay it and that will set a precedent for other similar places to start taking the piss. Shame

SHMBO has decided that first stop off the ferry is for her to nip into Liverpool 1. Anyone know a place where we could park a 7m motorhome for an hour or three.. and I still be there when we get back

Description.

Marina Car park £15 per 24 hour parking. Motorhome/Campervan overnight camping allowed. A key to the marina toilets and showers available during daytime for a £10 deposit £5 repaid we returning key to the reception. Easy walking distance to the Dock areas and Liverpool city. Yacht club restaurant available

Latest Check-Ins

This stopover is now under threat of closure due to planning laws which at this time are being appealed against. Still usable as of July 2018, but please check its availability in the future

We stayed in the parking next to the Yacht Club. All parking areas around the marina are pay & display. You can get the access cards for toilets, showers and washing machines during office hours inside the club. There is also a place for emptying your elsan - toilet cassette - and a tap for filling tanks with drinking water. Very convenient to visit the world heritage sights of Liverpool.

Liverpool Marina

Liverpool Marina offices are operated Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. However, from the 1st of August 2023, Liverpool Marina will be a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation - all year round. 

Liverpool Marina has over 300 serviced and unserviced berths with 16-32 amp supply. On-site you will find a digital laundrette, lively sports bar & grill, newly refurbished private showers & w.c's, household recycling, battery & oil disposal facilities & an elsan disposal unit. There is also a full service chandlery & boat yard with 60 tonne hoist (Bluepoint Marine) as well as marine engineers (Outboard & Marine). 

Liverpool Marina offers a range of services including pump outs & fuel which are available to pre-book online. We come to you, so you needn't worry about manoeuvring to us! We also service Salt House Dock every Friday. 

Accredited in February 2024 as a 4 Gold Anchor Marina. 

The lock is operated in line with tide times between 5am - 10pm. Out of hours locks can be booked online. 

Liverpool Marina is a destination location, just 10 minutes walk away from the city centre famous for its maritime heritage, iconic buildings and music, namely The Beatles. Ferries cruise the waterfront, where the iconic mercantile buildings known as the "Three Graces" – Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building and Port of Liverpool Building.

For some time motorhome stopovers have been allowed at Liverpool Marina. In March 2018 the formal planning application was refused and the Marina are currently appealing the decission. Further details can be found in our News section .

There are no formal touring facilities here, but special arrangements for overnight stays in the parking area are possible. Electric hook up is not available at present. Camper & motorhome parking is available in the outer car park with views of the River Mersey, the famous Liverpool skyline including the Anglican Cathedral.

How to find us

BY CAR:  The Liverpool Boat is permanently moored at The Liverpool Marina. Use the post code L3 4BP in your Sat Nav or Google maps.

BY AIR: The closest airport is Liverpool John Lennon Airport. It is 8 miles from the boat. There is no train station at the airport. We would recommend taking a taxi from outside the terminal. Give the driver the post code L3 4BP for The Liverpool Yacht Club and Marina at the Coburg Wharf.

BY TRAIN: The main train stations in Liverpool are Lime Street and Liverpool Central. We would recommend taking a taxi from either station to the boat.  Give the driver the post code L3 4BP for The Liverpool Yacht Club and Marina at the Coburg Wharf.

Once you have arrived

Parking is available directly in front of the Liverpool Marina (inside or outside the faux gates).  Do not pay for parking.  Free parking is provided for one car (providing you register your car’s registration with us). 

Once you have parked or been dropped off, head to the restaurant and bar side of the Liverpool Marina on your right hand side when looking at the building as pictured below.

Look for these gates (pictured below) as the boat is moored on the Brunswick Dock side. You will be met here.

“Peaceful and Relaxing ”

Level sites, easy to get into and nice facilities. Very nice dog run and laundry. Great communication via texting. Great place to stay. We camped at Marfa Yacht Club Airstream RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
