Azimut Grande 26M review: The 85ft yacht that feels like a 100ft superyacht

The Azimut Grande 26M features pod drives and a wider beam, but does it match its older siblings when it comes to performance?

With its pod drives, high-tech construction, wide beam and zippy performance, this latest model in the range, the Azimut Grande 26M is an ambitious project intended to move the game on.

It has been styled by Alberto Mancini, who has imparted a slightly imperious quality to the new model’s profile – from a distance you could convince yourself that it’s over 100ft.

The businesslike wheelhouse windows set the tone, while the superstructure mouldings provide the illusion of an upper deck that runs in an unbroken line from the bow roller to the flybridge balustrade.

And once on board there is nothing illusory about the 26’s exceptional deck spaces, from the spacious and versatile foredeck seating to the wide prairies of the flybridge. It is not just the length of the flybridge that imparts this sense of space but its width, too – spreading across the Grande’s full beam.

This new Azimut model is very nearly 2ft wider than its predecessor, the Azimut Grande 25M, and that tells on all three decks. It feels big. It feels even bigger when the ingenious cockpit extension is deployed – the garage door hinging upwards to create a quite unexpected balcony overlooking the aft platform.

Azimut Grande 27M: Game-changing ideas abound on luxurious cruiser

Sanlorenzo sl90a tour: this €7.3m asymmetric yacht does things a little differently.

The glass cockpit balustrade splits in the middle and swings out to embrace the new corners, while a lightweight infill section takes care of the gap. Simple but effective.

The interior is by another designer that Azimut has been keeping quite busy recently, Achille Salvagni, whose distinctive use of ovoid, organic shapes and tactile eggshell finishes has created a quirky but homogeneous design that should raise a smile, without losing sight of the fact that light tones and generous, open spaces are the best way to complement all that drenching daylight coming in through the huge side windows. Dark flooring and mid-toned veneers on the bulkheads keep things comfortably rooted.

Perhaps the highlight of the interior is the owner’s cabin on the main deck, with its floor-to-ceiling glass and a shower and WC that spans the full beam. It still feels absurdly spacious. This is another area of the boat where you can actually forget it’s only 85ft feet long.

The location of the master suite forward on the main deck enhances the view out through its vast hull windows

There is one slight shortcoming in the layout forward, where the steps to the lower deck, master cabin, crew accommodation, galley, wheelhouse and flybridge all converge on each other, as if one designer started from the bow, and one from the stern, and this is where they met.

It’s like it’s been designed by MC Escher. In the middle of it all, the lower helm station sits on a sort of platform, with a single seat, awkward communication with the rest of the boat and poor visibility. On our sea trial we helmed from upstairs, as we usually do.

Inner space

Down below, the eight-berth guest accommodation features a pair of impressively roomy symmetrical VIPs aft, each with a spacious shower and heads compartment along the engineroom bulkhead.

azimut-26m-grande-review-MBY282.test_cy_Azimut_26m.04_AZIMUT_26MT_guest_cabin_2

All three of the double guest cabins are of a similar size

Just forward, the starboard double cabin is almost as big, losing out only slightly on floor area and the size of the head, while all three double cabins have the same size bed, at 6ft 2in by 5ft 2in.

The twin to port is the smallest, and suffers somewhat from clashing doors, as three – cabin, head and wardrobe – all compete for the same space. Otherwise it’s a reasonable sleeping space with decent stowage.

With a bathroom no smaller than the twin cabin’s across the corridor, your guests shouldn’t feel as if they have drawn the short straw.

Driving the Azimut Grande 26M

The Azimut Grande 26M is the first boat to sport ZF’s big new 4600 pod drives, designed to serve in twin-engine yachts up to 100ft, and in triple installations up to 130ft.

Pod drives can of course be great fun in boats properly set up and designed from the outset to take them, and the Azimut Grande 26M clearly was. It gave us a remarkably enjoyable drive, which seemed quite surprising in such a big vessel.

But perhaps we shouldn’t have been surprised. The shipyard is well known for incorporating a lot of high-tech materials into its builds, and the amount of carbon fibre used in the Grande’s deck, superstructure, flybridge and hardtop reportedly saves some 30 per cent over the weight of conventional fibreglass laminates, significantly reducing the yacht’s centre of gravity.

azimut-26m-grande-review-MBY282.test_cy_Azimut_26m.Azimut_26M_0952

The new model is measurably faster than its shaft-drive predecessor

Also, although the hull of the Azimut Grande 26M is little different in length to that of the 25 Metri that it replaces in the range, its extra width provides additional lift, while its stern sections are simple, efficient flat panels rather than the prop tunnels sported by its shaft-drive predecessor. Deadrise recedes from 20.4 degrees amidships to 13.8 degrees at the transom.

The result is a yacht that is a perfect match with its machinery when under way. It feels light and lively, and has plenty of power. The Seakeeper gyro was switched off for our sea trial and the Humphree interceptors were on automatic.

Although there is the option of Humphree fins as well, they would probably have spoilt the fun, for the Azimut Grande 26M launched itself into high-speed turns with all the puppyish enthusiasm of a lightweight sports machine, heeling over so far it felt almost undignified.

26 m yacht

The flybridge helm station is the most enjoyable place to captain the boat from

You couldn’t actually lean down from the flybridge and dabble your fingers in the sea, but the impression was there, always underwritten by a superb feeling of control. On a more sensible even keel it tracked beautifully and inspired confidence as a serious piece of cruising kit.

Of course it would be disappointing if a yacht packing 3,300hp didn’t impart at least a frisson of excitement to its driver, and the 26’s maximum speed during our test, with a realistic cruising load of fuel and water, topped out at over 30 knots – faster, incidentally, than Azimut’s claims for it.

A key selling point of the ZF pods is their efficiency, and they deliver here too – the new model is measurably faster than its shaft-drive predecessor with the same engines. Azimut claims 20 per cent less fuel consumption than comparable yachts at “the most frequently set speeds”, which is vague but not entirely without substance.

26 m yacht

Visibility is goodforward and fair to the sides but you need a camera to look aft

In a very unscientific comparison with other new boats launched at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival , the Azimut Grande 26M might burn about 18 per cent less fuel at 20 knots than the 4,000hp Ferretti 860 , but about 25 per cent more than the 2,000hp Grand Banks 85 .

Different rev settings will probably give different results, and at full speed the Azimut is faster than both of them. It has a larger fuel capacity than its predecessor, which makes the 26 a distinctly more versatile cruising machine, with a useful range of about 360nm at 24 knots, even allowing for our conservative 20 per cent fuel reserve.

Azimut Grande 26M verdict

The new Azimut Grande 26M is a worthy addition to a high-achieving range of motor yachts which have invariably offered an impressive combination of style, innovation, comfort and sheer cruising competence.

Whether your idea of cruising is pottering about on the Côte d’Azur, or holidaying over the horizon, the Azimut Grande 26M is small enough to fit into most harbours, spacious enough to provide real home comforts for extended stays on board, and great fun both at anchor or at speed.

Our Scores Explained

Performance & Handling

The Azimut Grande 26M's performance is a notable aspect of its story, boasting an impressive 85-ton vessel capable of reaching 30 knots effortlessly. However, what truly piques interest is its propulsion system.

While pod drives themselves are not groundbreaking, the unique aft-facing directional pods utilized here, developed through collaboration between Azimut and transmission specialists ZF, represent the most robust setup observed on a yacht.

Buyers are offered a choice between 1,550hp or 1,650hp V12 MAN turbo diesel engines. A comparison with the largest forward-facing Volvo Penta IPS option, currently capped at 1,000hp, highlights the significant power boost achieved by the ZF Large POD 4600 drive.

Azimut Grande 26M design

More For Less

Azimut suggests top speeds of approximately 26-28 knots for the two available engine options. Encouragingly, during sea trials with the upgraded MAN engines and a full complement of journalists and associated gear, we reached a top speed of 30 knots. With full tanks and cruising inventory, maintaining 28 knots appears to be reliable.

In terms of performance comparison, the 26M surpasses its predecessor, the smaller and lighter Grande 25M, even when equipped with the same 1,650hp engines. The 25M required 1,800hp MAN engines to exceed 28 knots. Additionally, the 26M's performance holds up well against competitors, which typically necessitate twin 1,900hp or 2,000hp engines to approach speeds close to 30 knots.

Azimut Grande 26M design

Determining how much of this exceptional performance can be attributed to the innovative aft-facing pod drives is challenging. While Azimut emphasizes the weight-saving benefits of carbon fiber in the superstructure, the 85-ton displacement of the Grande 26M is not particularly lightweight. In comparison, it weighs similarly to the Ferretti 860 and is heavier than the 75-ton Princess Y85.

It appears that the Grande's impressive performance stems from Azimut's in-house design expertise, with the new pod drives working in harmony with Azimut's naval architecture to deliver outstanding results. Despite its substantial size and five-cabin layout, this vessel performs admirably at sea.

The pod drives are equipped with joystick control as standard, and an optional docking station on the aft deck further facilitates close-quarter maneuvers for the captain and crew. The boat can maintain a leisurely pace of 10 knots all day at 1,000rpm, boasting a range of nearly 900nm, with the optional Seakeeper stabilizer ensuring a comfortable ride.

Azimut Grande 26M design

Bigger, Faster, Better

If you're aiming for a firmer ride, you can push the throttle to 1,250-1,500 rpm. However, to truly appreciate the prowess of this modified vee hull, maintain a steady 1,750rpm or head straight to 1,900-2,000rpm, where you'll experience the smoothest performance at 20 knots without sacrificing range.

For everyday fast cruising, expect a reliable range of approximately 260 nautical miles while maintaining speeds between 23-25 knots. Although this may not revolutionize the game, the effortless delivery is undeniably impressive.

At 2,000 rpm and 23 knots, the Azimut 26M operates with apparent ease, exhibiting a taut and purposeful ride. Unlike some pod drive yachts, the steering is responsive and immediate, without any indication of the hull grappling with the water. The Azimut maneuvers gracefully under full helm, effortlessly navigating through the wakes of passing yachts. The optional Humphree active tabs contribute to a remarkably level and stable ride.

From the helm of the flybridge, the vessel feels akin to a 197ft (60ft) boat. It's only upon returning to port that one recalls the remarkable performance and capabilities of this 26m (85ft), five-cabin yacht.

Our tests recorded an average speed of 30.4 knots at 2,350rpm, yet the enduring impression lies in the relentless power that steadily builds throughout the rev range and how adeptly the hull harnesses it.

As a final note, the Large POD 4600 drive is hybrid-ready, allowing for potential alignment with an electric motor in the future — a feature undoubtedly of interest to Azimut and other forward-thinking yacht builders.

Design & Build

The Grande range has recently undergone significant evolution, highlighted by the impressive Trideck flagship. However, excitement peaked with the announcement of the Grande 26M by Azimut. Serving as the successor to the Grande 25M, this yacht showcased a distinct departure, notably featuring the innovative Deck2Deck system. This system ingeniously utilizes the tender garage's teak door to extend the terrace, introducing a fresh perspective to yacht design.

Arguably, the most notable feature of the Grande 26M is its five-cabin layout, a rarity among yachts of similar length.

Central to its functionality are the pod drives, which play a pivotal role in shaping the boat's layout and key features. Positioning the engines towards the stern creates additional space for the interior, allowing for crew quarters at the bow, and enabling the creation of a tender garage at the stern, which integrates into the Deck2Deck system. These drives demonstrate that propulsion is not their sole function.

Azimut Grande 26M design

Another approach to accommodating five cabins within a hull of this size is to incorporate a main deck owner stateroom, allowing the traditional four cabins to remain below decks. The challenge lies in achieving this without compromising space for the salon, lower helm, and galley, or disrupting the exterior aesthetics.

Azimut's success in achieving this five-cabin configuration is undeniable. While the Mancini design may appear bulkier than other Grande models, it maintains a sympathetic and linear profile compared to other high-volume boats. The effort invested by Azimut and exterior designer Mancini is evident, with forward sections extended to create space for the main deck cabin while preserving a clean, powerful aesthetic.

Internally, the design team maximizes every inch of the hull and superstructure to ensure no compromises on space. The distinctive characteristic of Achille Salvagni interiors, seen in other Grande models, is enhanced yet again. The use of glass is striking, the blend of materials captivating, and in true Grande fashion, unique elements are incorporated seemingly for the sake of innovation, including some whimsical lighting. While the result may not appeal to everyone, it embodies the inspired, intricate design typically found in custom builds.

As a crew-operated yacht, the design also prioritizes proper crew quarters while ensuring seamless, discreet service from bow to stern, inside to out. Despite the interior space constraints, Azimut incorporates two side deck doors, positioned on either side of the galley, with the port-side door connecting the crew quarters, lower helm station, and deck for effortless movement.

Interior Accommodation

We've had the opportunity to explore most of Azimut's latest models, ranging from the entry-level 53 flybridge to the Grande S10 and Trideck flagship. Throughout the lineup, there's a distinct style DNA that sets Azimut apart, unmatched by others. With a masterful blend of materials, light, and design, each new model typically raises the bar and introduces fresh levels of craftsmanship and innovation. However, few have left as lasting an impression as the Grande 26M.

Central to its draw is the layout, flowing from an open-plan salon, seemingly encased in glass, to the owner's cabin. Here, the brilliance of the interior design and the craftsmanship required become evident. The cabin itself is unbeaten in yachts under 30m (98ft), with expansive windows on either side of the cabin, dwarfing the double berth.

Organic Owner Luxury

The eye naturally moves forward into an open dressing area, where a pebble-shaped piece of glass introduces a bespoke design element typically reserved for larger yachts. Moving into the ensuite, a blend of traditional and contemporary features, including marble accents and softly toned fascias, creates a luxurious atmosphere.

Positioned slightly below the main deck, the owner's cabin is accessed via a few steps from the companionway. This deliberate design choice not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also allows for additional headroom within the yacht's external profile.

Azimut Grande 26M design, Azimut interiors

Back in the salon, the glass panels captivate once more, beginning just a few inches from the floor and extending to the ceiling. Complemented by sleek, contemporary free-standing chairs and sofas, the ambiance feels rejuvenating — a feeling possibly enhanced by Azimut's air treatment and ventilation system, which circulates clean, filtered air from the outside throughout the interior.

However, the downside to this free-standing glass elegance is the lack of salon storage space. While it might disrupt the aesthetic to place a sideboard in front of the windows, finding storage solutions will require some creative thinking. Without fitted seat bases, the only nearby options are the full-height units at the salon entrance, leaving the crew quarters to accommodate any overflow.

Azimut Grande 26M design, Azimut interiors

Equality Below

The four guest cabins all feature ensuite facilities, and while the layout follows a conventional four-quarter arrangement with symmetrical doubles aft and twins forward, the finish and ambiance are anything but ordinary. Like the stateroom above, these cabins blend ample natural light with modernist design elements. Floating side tables, recessed hull windows, and contemporary paneling contribute to the welcoming atmosphere, while teak shower stalls enhance the clean ensuites. The only minor drawback is the carpet, which lends a faint hint of a budget boutique hotel vibe.

The galley is easily overlooked, tucked discreetly forward of the salon. Hidden behind a sliding door, it features clever crockery lockers at the entrance. While not the largest, it is certainly one of the most intelligently designed, with connections to both side decks and the crew quarters to ensure excellent service. A convenient serving hatch further facilitates service to the dining area.

Storage should be ample, especially with the crew quarters just a few steps away. Deep, wide fridge and freezer drawers provide plenty of space for provisions, complemented by lockers surrounding the area. The crew quarters include a tidy mess area, two cabins, and a proper toilet compartment with a separate shower.

Helm Station

The upper deck provides the owner with the option to take the helm, with ample space for friends to join. The twin helm seats are positioned in front of a well-designed console, offering space for two multi-function display (MFD) screens. Visibility from the helm is excellent, and wind deflection proved effective during our brief time at sea.

Azimut decks

For longer passages, the lower helm, slightly elevated within its own pilothouse, is the preferred spot. While there's only a single helm seat, it's of exceptional quality. Fully adjustable with a bolster, it provides the skipper with excellent support and a clear view through the single-piece windscreen. Typically, these mini pilothouses can feel cramped and limit visibility, but the lower helm of the Grande 26M feels bright and practical. In addition to the excellent single windscreen, very useful side windows enhance visibility.

The helm console easily accommodates three MFD screens, along with navigation equipment and controls mounted on a separate console.

While our sea trial did not include a demonstration of the Deck2Deck concept, we observed it in action afterward. Reconfiguring the guardrails is a slightly time-consuming process, but the mere existence of this feature, coupled with its operation from an equally rare and impressive tender garage, is a noteworthy starting point for this section.

Azimut Grande 26M flybridge, Azimut decks

When extended, Azimut quotes a total of 18 square meters of deck space, including a particularly special elevated terrace for guests. While somewhat exposed for use in port, it serves as an excellent addition at anchor for a vessel that embraces the deck lifestyle.

The standard aft deck showcases sculpted benches surrounding an extending dining table, creating a scene reminiscent of a superyacht even before utilizing the Deck2Deck extension.

Azimut decks

Always Practical, Always Cool

Two spacious side decks extend forward, each featuring steps leading up to the raised foredeck — an uncommon feature found on many boats. These teak-laid side decks are superbly wide and bordered by stainless steel stanchions instead of a bulwark. This design not only enhances the exterior aesthetics but also provides guests inside with an unobstructed view. With a proper overhang, the overall effect exudes a level of luxury typically associated with superyachts.

The foredeck presents an expansive area, with opposing lounge seats leading to a substantial sun pad. Essential yachting necessities are neatly organized on a lower level, allowing for the handling of lines and anchoring duties.

Azimut Grande 26M Deck2Deck, Azimut decks

Access to the flybridge is solely via traditional steps from the aft deck, as there are no internal stairs. However, referring to it as a mere "flybridge" seems inadequate. This upper deck features a helm station neatly and discreetly positioned forward to starboard.

Upon entering the deck, two attractive teak and stainless steel bar stools welcome you, maintaining a continuous lifestyle vibe throughout, albeit in a more relaxed manner. The expansive, single-level deck boasts stylish, pebble-like loungers aft, perfect for basking in the sun. Additional seating is situated under the hardtop and sunroof, with a spacious dining area and lounge wrapping around the port side, complemented by a full bar and grill.

Value For Money

All Azimut models are positioned at the premium end of the market. What distinguishes the Grande range is that the design, style, and flair that make these boats so impressive are standard features. While there are various options available for finishes, they all adhere to the modernist Salvagni style parameters.

The technical innovations of the yacht, including the efficient pod-drive propulsion, active trim system, air treatment, and extending deck system, are all integral components of the 26M package.

Azimut Grande 26M design

Our Options & Pick

Considering that a stabilizer is now considered essential rather than an option, although it still incurs an additional cost, it's crucial for maintaining after-sale value. With that in mind, the primary option to consider will be the engines. Typically, for a substantial cruising yacht like this, the standard 1,550hp 26-knot option would be the preferred choice. However, given the ample performance range between 23 and 30 knots, it would be a shame not to opt for the larger motors, at least as an upgrade.

Azimut continues to be a leader in the world of yachting, but with the Grande 26M, it has undoubtedly reached new heights of game-changing design. What stands out most is how this Italian yard has cleverly blended an avant-garde attitude, which we've come to expect and love, with an excellent five-cabin cruising package. Through intelligent and often daring design choices, from the shape of windows to the innovative pod drive, Azimut has achieved triumph. And the truly thrilling aspect is that this feels like just the beginning of what's to come.

Reasons to Buy

  • Fantastic five-cabin design
  • 30-knot performance
  • Unique, high-power pod drives
  • Deck2Deck headlines feature-packed yacht

Things to Consider

  • Subjective styling
  • Lack of storage

We have seen massive design progression across the flybridge size ranges, but few have been as active as this 25-28m, superyacht-entry sector. Some builders have evolved the genre, some, like Sirena, have torn up the rule book completely, while Princess has been clever enough to do both.

The Sirena 88 is an obvious place to start because it is so different and successful. Offering up to six cabins, a massive flybridge, a very different modernist style and some impressive performance that hits 26 knots but also covers some 2,000nm at 9 knots this is a uniquely brilliant boat. It is probably the first to come with a Hammam too.

Princess has its clean Princess Y85 for lovers of more conventional flybridge ideals. The four-cabin layout won’t hold any surprises but the space on offer, inside and on deck, might, as will some powerful 30-knot performance. If you want something different, the X80 throws down a style gauntlet to match the Azimut and adds an upper lounge and the option of five cabins with a main deck stateroom or four cabins with a massive main deck salon and dining area that pushes right forward. The shorter hull length means the crew quarters are aft, with no garage. The X80 looks big on the water but can still hit 30 knots.

Both the Ferretti 860 and Sunseeker 88 Yacht are big powerful flybridge yachts in the more conventional sense, with four cabins below decks and sweeping upper decks. The benefit of this conventional layout is a bright open lower helm station that feels part of the yacht, where guests and crew can join the skipper. The Ferretti 860 is the more recent design with a clean exterior and vast open salon, there’s a tender garage too.

All of the Azimut’s rivals are shaft-drive boats with fast cruising and top speeds that can hit or get very close to 30 knots. The Sirena is the stand-out with its mix of range and pace.

02_G26M Running 1_Low res

Azimut’s new Low Emission Yacht, presented at Cannes Yachting Festival 2022, offers all the features of a superyacht in a length of 26 meters and introduces two novelties: the Deck2Deck™ terrace and the first Large POD propulsion system. The market rewards innovations in style and technology, with 22 units sold in the first two months since the launch.

The launch of the Grande 27M in 2018 was such a success for Azimut, both with the public and the market, that the model became a benchmark in the category. Today, Azimut presents the Grande 26M , inspired by the desire to amaze again by offering solutions designed for superyachts on a 26-meter boat and introducing an innovative propulsion system to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 20%. The proposition met an enthusiastic reception right from the start, with 22 units of the Grande 26M already sold.

When it refers to a yacht, the term ‘super’ identifies specific characteristics, which the Grande 26M delivers through smart design choices that reflect the expectations of demanding owners in terms of the onboard experience: 5 cabins, including the full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, and completely separated guest and crew flows. These distinctive features and the huge flybridge – 50m2 all on the same level – have never been seen before on a yacht this size.

In the words of Alberto Mancini, the designer of the Grande 26M’s exteriors : “The project was driven by the enthusiasm to create a compact superyacht, with five cabins, an enormous flybridge and a larger cockpit than usual for the category, which we wanted to extend to give the yacht a fully-fledged dining area overlooking the water.”

The result is the Deck2Deck™ Terrace, the first of its kind created using a transom extension system that pays tribute to the power of the ideas and expertise brought to bear by Azimut’s engineers. The Deck2Deck™ Terrace is formed by raising the teak-clad garage door to expand the size of the cockpit to over 18m2 . The walkaround table, when extended, seats up to eight guests in an al fresco dining room with a view out over the water.

The creative design approach behind the Grande 26M is also reflected in the interiors, and particularly in the strategic choice of a partially raised wheelhouse, which, taken together with the smaller engine room resulting from the innovative Large POD propulsion system and the light carbon fiber superstructure – meaning more volume for the same weight – offers interior designer Achille Salvagni plenty of space to express his vision of organic architecture, in which the elements created by the designer are in complete harmony with the natural environment.

The shapes and hues are soft and warm like the marine environment seen through the huge full-height windows on the main deck and in the owner’s suite. Color accents in various settings on the yacht act as playful but discreet elements with which Salvagni sparks the imagination: the cobalt blue of the sofa and the suspended lamp over the dining table, the orange coffee table, the eye-catching chromatic details inside the cabins. The oak floor is perfect for interiors, conjuring up the warmth of teak, while the boards laid at a 45-degree angle give the impression of even wider spaces.

The star of the show is the owner’s cabin on the main deck, which is flooded with light through the two full-height glazed surfaces and represents a unique feature in this market segment. Salvagni’s idea is to rethink the spaces in the suite, contaminating the settings to offer greater depth: the cabin and bathroom are connected by an open dressing area, lit by natural light entering through original cell-shaped windows featuring curved, flowing lines, in another mini masterpiece of organic design. The same shape also appears in the handrail incorporated in the wall leading to the raised wheelhouse: the design is in the details.

GRANDE 26M, the new Low Emission Yacht from Azimut

Azimut has been investing in research for over ten years to develop innovative solutions that reduce the environmental impact of its boats and was the first brand to believe in POD propulsion systems. Drawing on its extensive experience, the Yard developed the new Large POD 4600 propulsion system for the Grande 26M in partnership with ZF . The system, combined with a 30% lighter superstructure achieved through the extensive use of carbon fiber, delivers 20% lower fuel consumption at the most frequent speeds.

These percentages are unmatched on the market today and have been achieved without compromising performance. The PODs pivot, eliminating the need for a rudder and the associated drag to achieve unrivalled performance for maneuvering and reaching high speeds, and the Grande 26M accelerates effortlessly to 28 knots. Compared with the POD systems already available on the market, the new ZF POD 4600 system was developed to increase efficiency on larger boats for the first time, with top speeds between 20 and 30 knots. An additional benefit of the system is higher torque at low speeds for easier maneuvering. The system is Hybrid Ready, because the future of Azimut is sustainable.

The Grande 26M joins Azimut’s fleet of Low Emission Yachts, which now includes more than half the brand’s models. These boats guarantee a 20 to 30% reduction in fuel consumption, and therefore CO2 emissions , compared with equivalent shaft line models with hard-chine hulls. This result has been achieved by combining three key factors: the adoption of innovative propulsion systems; the development of increasingly efficient hulls, tailored to master the challenges of each Series’ mission; and extensive use of carbon fiber to reduce weight.

The latest member of DL Yacht’s Dreamline series, the Dreamline 26M is a great ship which, despite its relatively small size (26 meters in length), has all the making of a luxurious contemporary superyacht.

The shape of the hull, designed by Giuseppe Arrabito, is the result of extensive research and testing, and ensures the vessel encounters the least amount of resistance possible as it cruises across the sea. A similar level of care has been afforded to the development of the interior as well. Generous, well-lit interior spaces (done exclusively with LED lights) featuring soft, tasteful tones. Accommodations include three luxurious guest cabins, as well as comfortable quarters for the ship’s crew.

The spacious exterior is perfectly suitable for countless hours of entertainment at sea. Among others, there is a large garage aft which is not only home to an RIB, but can also be easily converted into an onboard gym or beach area.

The MacGregor 26M offers high speed powering without compromising sailing performance.  You can have the peace and quiet of sailing, or the fun of powering economically at up to 24MPH with a 70HP outboard (BWY has been offering the option of 70hp since we completed the initial motoring performance tests for the MacGregor factory on the very first 26M built).   Unlike any other boat, it opens up a world of endless variety- - sailing, swimming, fishing, diving, water skiing or just fooling around on the water.   Its high speed under power lets you get to cruising waters that are out of reach for a conventional six mph sailboat.

You can have your own island, for free, at some of the most beautiful vacation areas on earth.    Unlike land bound recreation vehicles, you will not be limited to crowded and expensive RV parks.  You will never tire of the wonderful sensation of shutting off the engine and enjoying the quiet serenity of moving along under sail

Kylie and Kendall Jenner on a a yacht in Mallorca.

Trying to keep up with the Kardashians is an intense burden to  shoulder .

But wannabe bombshells are shrugging off the heaviness of the lift to achieve K-inspired contours.

“Me after seeing Kylie and Kendall’s shoulders on the yacht in Mallorca,” said fitness influencer @ProteckPhilippe , or PP, in a TikTok clip of her grueling upper arm workout.

Fitness influencer @ProteckPhilippe, or PP, on TikTok.

The brunette centered her sweat session around attaining the slenderized look of the A-list sisters, Kylie, 26, and Kendall, 28, who cut toned physiques while vacationing on a luxe cruiser off the coast of Spain in June.

“Yacht shoulders,” PP captioned the post, which muscled up over 7.6 million views from digital audiences — many of whom had a bone to pick with her for starting yet another Kardashian-spawned trend.

A newcomer to the body-modification movement, “yacht shoulders” are slim, chiseled shoulders accompanied by a slight neck and chicly prominent collar bone.

However, unlike the viral “TrapTox” craze, which sees beauty belles injecting Botox into their trapezius muscles for leaner looks, women of the yacht shoulders swing are flocking to the gym for the enviable exterior.

Kylie Jenner, 26, on a yacht in Mallorca.

“Those yacht shoulders are pending!” vowed UK exercise content creator Natalie Rose while executing a weight-training workout.

Health tastemaker Nathalie Jennings echoed Rose’s sentiments in a separate snippet of her own shoulder-sculpting routine on a machine.

Natalia, a lifestyle influencer, also took to TikTok, boasting , “So happy to announce that I do, in fact, have yacht shoulders,” she wrote in the closed captions of her post. “So blessed.”

But, unfortunately, not everyone sees the ultra-trim trend as a blessing.

Woman trying clothing looking in mirror.

“Arm and shoulder beauty standards is insane,” barked a detractor beneath PP’s viral video.

“Ummmm they also get Ozempic, tons of work and maintenance done,“ alleged another about the Kardashians.

“Love yourself,” a concerned commenter urged.

And a little self-love, coupled with a little less social media, might be just what the doctor ordered for some easily influenced young women.

In fact, a February 2023 study from the from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute found that cutting a teen’s scrolling time in half can “significantly” improve their body imagine in weeks.

Alyssa McKay, 23, from Manhattan, previously told The Post that she immediately regretted undergoing a $7,000 breast augmentation in an attempt to mimic Kylie’s bountiful bust.

“When I got my boobs done, the beauty trend was all about having the Kardashian look — big boobs and a big butt,” she said of the voluptuous family.

“I wish I would have waited and thought about whether surgery was something I really wanted to do,” McKay continued.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

This vacation is getting wild.

Lori Harvey showed off a racy leopard-printed bikini on vacation in St. Tropez Tuesday, relaxing on a luxurious yacht as she soaked up the sun with her family.

The 27-year-old model and swimwear entrepreneur — whose father is comedian Steve Harvey — struck various poses while perched on a railing in some sizzling pics she shared on her Instagram Story .

Lori Harvey

The socialite shaded her face from the sun in a straw cowboy hat and accessorized with a pair of chic sunglasses, a diamond-trimmed gold Jacquie Aiche belly chain ($8,525), several ankle bracelets and chunky gold earrings by Fiery Jewelry ($65).

She enjoyed some music with her family on board, sharing videos of herself dancing and also taking a trip down a slide into the sea before rinsing off in an outdoor shower.

Although the Yevrah Swim founder didn’t appear to be rocking one of her own designs, she did make her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut this year in a Yevrah bikini, among other striking suits.

Harvey’s shoot was part of the magazine’s 60th-anniversary  edition this May and also featured fellow SI Swim rookie stars Brittany Mahomes and Gayle King .

The SKN by LH skincare founder told SI Swim  that posing for the mag was a “dream come true.”

“I would say the three words that I would use to describe it would be manifested, surreal and perfection because it was literally a moment that I manifested,” she said.

Perhaps she can manifest more leopard-print moments this summer.

Bodies of 2 men who jumped from boat at Candlewood Lake have been recovered: officials

T he bodies of two men who had been missing at Candlewood Lake in Danbury since Monday night have been found, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

A 26-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both residents of Danbury, had been missing since they jumped off a boat on Monday night, officials said.

DEEP said they worked with the Connecticut State Police Dive Team and the Danbury Dive Team to find the missing men and recover their bodies, which will be turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Five people were on the boat Monday night when the men jumped in and the three who remained onboard called 911, initiating the search.

The search was temporarily suspended early Tuesday morning before resuming later in the morning.

Then additional divers and resources were deployed on Wednesday and the search continued until around 4 p.m. when it was suspended because of storms.

The search resumed around 7 a.m. Thursday and the two men were found this morning, according to DEEP.

Explorer M26 explorer yacht for sale from Aegean Yacht exterior

€550k price drop on new 26m Aegean Yacht Explorer M26

A €550,000 price drop has been announced on the second hull of Aegean Yacht 's 26-metre Explorer M26 line, listed for sale with central agent Pierre Badin of Denison Yachting. It is due for delivery in June 2024.

Being built in Turkey, the steel and aluminium explorer vessel has been designed and engineered entirely in-house as a "go-everywhere" yacht. The yacht's simple exterior keeps her form true to purpose with a dual-tone paint job disguising her height and volume.

Accommodation is flexible at this stage in the build, but the standard configuration allows for 12 guests in six cabins – including three "full-beam master suites". Alternatively, the bridge deck master might be replaced by a generous sky lounge, reducing capacity to 10 guests. There are quarters for a crew of four in individual cabins, so they can have privacy for long cruises in remote destinations.

External areas for guests to enjoy include the bridge deck forward – when the tenders are launched – as well as aft of either the upper master or sky lounge. The aft deck and swimming platform also provide comfortable spaces to relax when not taking in the spectacular views from up top.

Things to Do

Music and concerts, music and concerts | what to know if you’re headed to the minnesota yacht club festival, gwen stefani, alanis morissette and red hot chili peppers are headlining.

A stage and bleachers next to a river.

For the first time in a dozen years, St. Paul’s Harriet Island Regional Park will host a major rock and pop music festival, dubbed the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival, on Friday and Saturday.

Headlined by Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morissette and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the festival (which despite its name has nothing to do with yacht rock) is promoted by C3 Presents, an Austin, Texas, company that’s also behind Austin City Limits Music Festival, Voodoo Music + Arts Experience and the modern-day Lollapalooza. C3 was the largest independent promoter in the world until Live Nation bought a controlling stake in the company in 2014.

Organizers expect to attract more than 30,000 concertgoers each day.

While the Irish Fair of Minnesota calls Harriet Island home each August, music festivals have had a rough go on the site. The original Lollapalooza (back when it was a traveling festival) landed on the site in 1991, 1992 and 1994, but flooding forced the fest to move to the late St. Paul Civic Center in 1993.

Live Nation attempted to establish a new annual event, the River’s Edge Music Festival, in 2012. Despite big-name headliners Tool and the Dave Matthews Band, the festival didn’t attract enough paying customers to convince the concert promoting giant to return for a second year.

Here’s what folks headed to the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival need to know:

As of Wednesday afternoon, tickets were still available at a number of price points, starting at $135 for one day general admission (or $255 for two days) all the way up to platinum tickets for $925 ($1,395 for two days), which include a number of perks including free food and drinks, front-of-stage viewing and access to an air-conditioned lounge. See minnesotayachtclubfestival.com for details.

Many of the general admission and general admission plus tickets are sold out, but there are verified resale tickets available, some at lower prices than face value.

Getting there

There are two entrances to the festival. The main entrance is at Harriet Island Boulevard and South Wabasha Street, while the west entrance is on West Water Street between Bidwell Street and Plato Boulevard.

There is no on-site parking at the festival, but its website lists numerous downtown St. Paul parking lots that are a 10- to 16-minute walk from the site. Several Metro Transit buses stop a half-mile from Harriet Island. The rideshare drop off is at 49 E. Fillmore Ave. The festival promises “ample bike parking” located near the two entrances.

What is allowed on site

Feel free to bring: Small clutch purses and fanny packs (6” x 9” or smaller) with no more than one pocket, all other bags must be clear and smaller than 12” x 6” x 12”, empty hydration packs and reusable water bottles, strollers, frisbees, binoculars, blankets, basic cameras (no detachable lenses or other accessories), sunscreen in non-aerosol containers (3.4 ounces or less), personal-sized hand sanitizer and factory sealed Naloxone/Narcan kits.

What isn’t allowed

Pretty much everything you would think, including outside food and beverage, coolers, aerosol containers, umbrellas, chairs, wagons, skateboards, drones, fireworks and illegal substances.

Concertgoers must wear securely fastened wristbands that are available at the box office. Wristbands can be activated online to add an emergency contact and to use for cashless transactions (with a pin number). Wristbands that are damaged, lost or stolen can be replaced by the original purchaser one time only for $20. Patrons can leave and reenter at will up until 7 p.m. each day.

There is a guest services tent that has earplugs and a lost and found. Free hydration stations are located throughout the site. Lockers are available to rent for $25 each day or $48.50 for both.

Who is playing

Gwen Stefani sings on stage flanked by two dancers.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. There are two stages, with staggered performances that do not overlap.

Friday’s schedule includes: Gully Boys (1-2 p.m.), Harbor and Home (2-2:40 p.m.), Morgan Wade (2:40-3:40), Michigander (3:40-4:40), Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (4:40-5:40), Durry (5:40-6:40), Gwen Stefani (6:45-8), The Head and the Heart (8-9) and Alanis Morissette (9-10:30).
