Range & Performance

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-18B) 750hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 12 knots with a range of up to 5,100 nautical miles from her 8,600 gallon fuel tanks. Her water tanks store around 1,300 Gallons of fresh water.

A General Description of Motor Yacht POLAR BEAR

This 31 m (102 ft) luxury yacht was constructed by Aleutian Yachts in 2008. Motor Yacht POLAR BEAR is a well sized superyacht. The yacht is a recent explorer style (expedition) yacht. The naval architect which delivered the plans and general arangement on the yacht was Aleutian.

New Build & Yacht Design for Luxury Yacht POLAR BEAR

Aleutian was the naval architect involved in the formal nautical plans for POLAR BEAR. Also the company Aleutian skillfully collaborated on this project. the United States is the country that Aleutian Yachts built their new build motor yacht in. After her official launch in 2008 in Tacoma Wa she was then handed over to the proud new owner following final finishing. The main hull was crafted from steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated extensively from steel. With a beam of 8.53 m / 28 feet POLAR BEAR has fairly large interior. She has a shallow draught of 1.98m (6.5ft).

Engines & Speeds For M/Y POLAR BEAR:

The 3406E engine installed in the motor yacht is built by CATERPILLAR. POLAR BEAR is propelled by twin screw propellers (fishmaster 4 blades). The main engine of the ship produces 700 horse power (or 522 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The sum output for the boat is accordingly 1400 HP / 1044 KW. The bow thrusters are / Stern.
