MBC History. The Monroe Boat Club was founded November 8, 1945 by a merger of the Monroe Yacht Club and the Bolles Harbor Boat Club. The Monroe Yacht Club traces it roots back to 1886 as member of the Inter-Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA). Click on the photo to learn more about Monroe Yacht Club.
OUR HISTORY. MBC Association (MBA-A) is housed in the Monroe Boat Club (MBC) facilities on a channel that leads to Lake Erie. MBC was initially formed as the Monroe Rowing Club in 1868, but by 1900 had grown into the Monroe Yacht Club. In 1945 the Club merged with the Bolles Harbor Boat Club and became the Monroe Boat Club.
