Bringing your favorite land-based home features to your luxury contemporary apartment on the water. The new partnership with the renown Italian designers, m2atelier, is evident and welcome. Internal volume has been maximized and defies expectations about yacht interiors.

The sophisticated interior designs use fully retractable windows and floor-to-ceiling glass to connect visually with the water.

The head-turning exterior lines are reminiscent of its sister models inthe McConaghy Multihull series. Her attractive flybridge can be moved forward for a more aggressive styling or extended aft for a gentler, sweeping, sleeker look.

The MC75 catamaran is lightweight, eco-conscious and fully customizable. Adeptly performing even in calm winds, the MC75 offers smooth sailing and stability while delivering top speeds for its range. In 20 knots at a 110 true wind angle, the MC75 can reach 21 knots with a code zero sail.

Construction update on first 23.3m McConaghy MC75 sailing catamaran

Builder McConaghy Boats has given a construction update on the first hull in its 23.3 metre MC75 sailing catamaran series.

The hull has now been released from the mould while construction on the interior furniture is also underway.

It comes after the yard commenced construction on the 23.9 metre MC82p in July 2021 , which is set to be their largest yacht to hit the waters with a 2023 delivery date. 

The MC75 features exterior design penned by  Ker Yacht Design while interiors come from Italian studio m2atelier .

Speaking about the design, owner of m2atelier Marco Bonelli said: “We are honoured to have been involved in the interior design for the MC75, and to be working with such a revolutionary company [like McConaghy].”

With a beam of 9.3 metres, the MC75’s “apartment-like” open-plan interior features a large saloon lounge with a dining area and walk-around bar, while sofas and an alfresco dining space are located on the aft deck.

“The lightweight yacht is designed to offer contemporary on-water living. Lots of fully retractable windows and floor-to-ceiling glass create the perception of freedom,” said the yard.

The MC75 is estimated to reach 21 knots of speed in 20 knots of wind. Accommodation will be for a total of ten guests in five ensuite double cabins.

Construction on the MC75 began in June 2021, while a delivery date of autumn 2022 has been slated. McConaghy is best known for creating the iconic 42.6 metre trimaran Adastra , currently listed for sale with Burgess .

The interior of the MC75 has a particularly apartment-like feel with an architectural personality. The sophisticated environment offers a fantastic visual connection with the sea and great care has been taken to incorporate all interior essentials and amenities in the most aesthetic and functional way possible. Fully retractable windows and floor-to-ceiling glass create the perception of freedom, with an infinite amount of visual space and an enhanced, symbiotic relationship between inside and out. Within, internal volume has been maximised and every space configured with distinct purpose in a layout that dispels all preconceptions of yacht interiors. The open-plan interior can be tailor-made, with bespoke pieces that meet the client’s request for convenience and versatility as well as designer aesthetic. The MC75 features a huge saloon lounge with a dining area and walk-around bar, a spacious aft deck with sofas and al fresco dining space, and cushioned sun pads forward of the superstructure. There are five seaward-facing berths, all en suite, as well as a crew cabin – adjacent to the galley in the port hull.

Launched! First MC75 hits water.

We are excited about the launch of the very first McConaghy 75 catamaran . Last week she was splashed in the waters off Hong Kong.

This advanced, hybrid composite multihull is both luxurious and fast. At the same time she projects the highest levels of engineering. This is not surprising as this superyacht is built at the same facilities where all the AC40 Americas Cup boats are built.

Aeroyacht will be visiting the famed McConaghy yard in December to oversee the ongoing build of MC75 hull Nr. 2. For any interested clients this would be a good opportunity to join,
