There are strict and complicated rules governing commercial yacht charters (non-private) cruising US waters, which in general means that only US-flagged yachts or US built yachts with a coastwise endorsement can conduct yacht charters in the US. Furthermore, yachts that are available for charter are considered to be "engaging in a trade" and thus ineligible for a US cruising licence. Most luxury charter yachts are also not US duty paid.

• Keep in mind that the endless sunshine from mid-December until April attracts a high number of visitors to this idyllic location, and this is when the Bahamas is usually at its busiest.
• New Providence Island (where Nassau and the extraordinary Atlantis Resort and Marina are situated) tends to be heaving with cruise ships. If you are looking for a calmer charter, this is worth taking into consideration.
• Weather conditions and wind strength play a crucial role in anchorage spots in the Bahamas, so plan any overnight anchorages accordingly.
• Some anchorages can be a bit of a challenge to set: it's common for heavy grass to cover a large section of some of the better spots to drop anchor 
• Anchorages that appear to have a sandy bottom can oftentimes be just a thin layer of sand over a coral reef or rock, making it difficult to dig the anchor in. Don't be misled by them!

In the north of the archipelago you'll find the Abacos : widely considered to be the boating capital of the Bahamas thanks to its unique geography. Sailing towards Big Major's Cay is love at first sight for most: it's where you will find Pig Beach ,  and its utterly charming piggies gliding surprisingly effortlessly across the water. Nearby, plunge into the sea with nurse sharks at Compass Cay before ending the day sauntering along the remote  Three Sisters Beach as the sunsets. Whilst you are here, go onshore and absorb Bahamian culture to its fullest in  Georgetown.

An Eleuthera yacht charter has come to encapsulate the island's name, which in Greek means 'freedom'. Secluded, slender, and over 100 miles long, Eleuthera is unquestionably the prettiest out of the Out Islands, fully earning its name as the Nantucket of the Caribbean. Nassau is the invariably popular choice to begin a Bahamas yacht charter. Not only is the city astoundingly beautiful and replete with world-class marinas, hip boutiques, restaurants, and more, but reaching other Bahamas destinations like the Exumas is a breeze.

In most cases, a completed charter agreement and 50% of the charter fee is required as a deposit to secure your luxury yacht charter, which is payable once the contract has been signed.

The Bahamas is a highly popular yacht charter destination, which for guests means there is a yacht to suit practically every budget.

When booking, keep in mind the additional costs that aren't included in the base rate, namely tax and the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance). Typically set at 30% of the charter fee, the APA is paid in advance and covers expenses such as fuel, berthing, food,  drinks, as well as any special requests (such as for tenders that are not carried by yacht, equipment hire, etc.)

What's in a name, a kittiwake is....

The catamaran has a special name that reflects its seagoing character.

According to Wikipedia, kittiwakes are a seabird species in the gull family Laridae. The name is derived from its call, a shrill ‘kittee-wa-aaake, kitte-wa-aaake’.

They have a white head and body, grey back, grey wings tipped with solid black, and a yellow bill. They can have either black or red legs.

In contrast to the dappled chicks of other gull species, kittiwake chicks are downy and white since they are under relatively little threat of predation, as the nests are on extremely steep cliffs. Unlike other gull chicks which wander around as soon as they can walk, kittiwake chicks instinctively sit still in the nest to avoid falling off.

Kittiwakes are coastal breeding birds ranging in the North Pacific, North Atlantic, and Arctic oceans. They are the only gull species that are exclusively cliff-nesting.

Kittiwake’s owners are Mark Cohen and Leigh Scott, a married couple who live in northern Virginia. Mark is the board chair of Creative Planning Trust Company. He’s also an instrument-rated pilot. When he’s not in the office, Mark enjoys flying his Cirrus airplane, woodworking, photography, and all kinds of outdoor sports. Leigh is a vegan chef. When she’s not in the kitchen, Leigh enjoys gardening, photography, and all kinds of outdoor sports. Leigh also serves as the Executive Director of a philanthropic nonprofit called the Healthier, Greener, Kinder Foundation .

We went for sailboats with a shallow draft so we can anchor as close as possible to the beach whenever you want to.

Our sailboats are not new but very comfortable. Keep in mind that the sailboat is your hub and the deck is where it all happens! The sea, the blue skies, the wind and the beaches all await you.

Like we say in French: “Just grab your bikini and your toothbrush”! Our sailboats are well equipped:

Italian coffee maker, BBQ, Yeti cooler

Cutlery, pots, and glasses of all kinds, bedding, linens, bath and beach towels, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, masks and fins, sup, life jackets, all the basic condiments salt, pepper, oil, sugar, bbq spices, *note: it is actually nice to grocery shop every day, buying little but often. it’s also more practical to make better use of space (and avoid waste)., boat n beach beaches.

About Our Location

While reconstruction efforts continue in the Abacos following the devastation caused by hurricane Dorian in 2019, Navigare is excited and proud to be a part of the recovery with a new charter base opened in 2021.

The Navigare base is located in Marsh Harbor on site at the Conch Inn Hotel and Marina , only 10 minutes from the Leonard Thompson Airport.

Cruisers and charterers in the Abaco will enjoy a steadily warm climate with sustained trade winds; similar to southern Florida, generally sunny with slightly colder temperatures from December through February.

Local Considerations

The official currency for the Bahamas is the Bahamian Dollar, which, like the US dollar, is denoted with a dollar sign. The denotation B$ is used to distinguish it from other Dollar currencies. The U.S. dollar is on par with the Bahamian dollar and is accepted all over the Bahamas, so there is no need to change to Bahamian if you are able to pay in USD.

What weather and sailing conditions should you expect during a sailboat charter in the Bahamas? 

The climate is perfect for a sailboat rental in the Bahamas all year round, with temperatures that stay consistently above 20ºC.  

The seasons are generally divided into two with the dry season lasting from December to April and the wet season featuring a hurricane season from July to September.  

Water temperatures average between 24ºC and 28ºC, meaning swimming with the stingrays is pleasant all year round.  

The trade winds in the Bahamas, also referred to as the Alizé, are gentle winds that blow throughout the year. From July to September, winds grow stronger with the rain and this area is susceptible to hurricanes, making the conditions less favourable for a Bahamas sailing vacation. 

When is the best time for a sailboat rental in the Bahamas? 

For this reason, it might be better to book your sailboat rental in the Bahamas during the shoulder season.  If you go from October to November or from March to May, you should manage to avoid the crowds, while still taking advantage of the fantastic weather. 

The only time we would recommend that you avoid going sailing in the Bahamas is from July until September, during the hurricane season.  Although hurricanes don’t always hit the Bahamas, the weather during these months is likely to be unpredictable and there may be days when you are unable to sail, due to the dangerous conditions.  In order to avoid such disruptions to your holiday, we would avoid these months completely.  However, if you have to go then, make sure you keep an eye on the weather forecast and ideally rent a boat with a skipper who knows the surrounding seas very well.  

What to do during a sailboat rental in the Bahamas? 

You can try out a variety of different water sports, such as jet skiing, water skiing, windsurfing, and sea kayaking.  These are all fairly standard things that you should have the opportunity to do on many of the Caribbean islands.  What makes the Bahamas stand out are the more unique experiences available to you. 

The Bahamas has a plethora of unique diving and snorkelling opportunities available to you.  One such opportunity comes in the form of the Ocean Atlas statue, the tallest underwater statue in the world.  In fact, this statue is so big it had to be assembled underwater.  You can also feed the sharks, provided you go with a trained professional.  Everyone who has participated in this experience has agreed that it is truly spectacular and the sort of thing you really can’t experience anywhere else. 

The Bahamas is also one of the only places you can go swimming with dolphins in the wild.  This is a very different experience than swimming with dolphins in captivity and much more special.  You also have to try your hand at a spot of fishing when you rent a sailboat in the Bahamas.  This is a perfect activity for the whole year, but you will catch different species depending on when you go.  During the winter, you might catch a barracuda, a grouper, or maybe even a blue marlin, a prized catch for any fisherman.  In the summer, the list of potential catches is no less impressive, with amberjack, snappers, and blackfin tuna at the top of the list.

If you have a little more time and are feeling adventurous, you could even start your Bahamas sailing vacation a little earlier, and fly to Miami, the Florida Keys, or Cuba before setting sail for the Bahamas.

Just 55 miles north of Nassau and with great facilities for boaters, Marsh Harbour sits on a lagoon on the east of Great Abaco, and is the perfect location for you to enjoy the 120 or so miles of coastline of the Abaco Islands. For water sports enthusiasts it seems that the Abaco islands with Great Abaco Island and Little Abaco at their center have it all. There are direct flights from North Carolina and Florida as well as domestic flights in from Nassau and other Bahama islands. 7 Days - Abaco Cays and Islands: Leaving Marsh Harbour and heading east, you can spend the first night afloat off the colonial era town of New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay. Your second night can be at Coopers Town, another historic Bahamian town. After a good sail north then west, pop into Fox Town on Little Abaco for your third night. For night four you'll have sailed back down the channel to Treasure Cay Beach Hotel, Marina & Golf resort for its excellent restaurants. Back to chill again with your fifth night at Great Guana Cay, perhaps at Orchid Bay Marina. Return to base at Marsh Harbour after a sail south, perhaps visiting the nature reserve at Abaco National Park.

14 Days: On a 14 day Marsh Harbour yacht charter you can get as far SE as the salt and flamingo island of Inagua, island hopping through the Bahamas and pausing at places like Eleuthera, Cat Island, Crooked Island, Long Island and Exuma as you explore this fascinating yet extremely chilled part of the world. Unlike Europe, the sailing season in the Bahamas runs from November to May - perfect for a dose of winter sun. The NE Trades are settled and you will encounter weather between 25-35 degrees C.

Within this period, March and April after the winter northerlies have passed are cooler yet the sailing is just as fun as the rest of the year.

For those who want to try something a little outside their comfort zone, August and September are said to be the very best sailing months of all.

There's a problem with this - many yacht charter fleets will not be in the area thanks to hurricane season that runs between July and November. If booked and a hurricane is on its way your vacation will be canceled. There is no minimising the danger of being in the region in a hurricane - there is no high ground and with the general trend for ever fiercer storms, it is not an experience to even risk being around for.

The external profile of this vessel has been designed by Omega Architects, in close collaboration with the CRN Engineering Department which developed the naval project, while their interiors have been created by Droulers Architecture, which has worked in close collaboration with the shipyard’s Interiors and Design Office.

The new megayacht, the first to be built by CRN on the new naval platform of 12.50 metres in width, is characterized by sleek, slender and sporty lines, which make the profile particularly streamlined. With 5 decks, M/Y CRN 132 73 m can host up to 12 guests in its six cabins, including the Owner Suite and Vip cabins, together with a crew of 22 members.

The construction of this new jewel of the sea, which includes the best design solutions realized by CRN, has required around 430,000 hours of work from the shipyard workers and subcontractors and the daily contribution of over 150 direct and indirect workers.

Off the Hook Yachts Acquires 300-Slip Marina in Georgetown Maryland  

The Acquisition 

Off the Hook Yachts is proud to announce the acquisition of Georgetown Yacht Basin (GYB) now rebranding under Georgetown Yacht Haven – a 300-boat slip full-service marina located on the Sassafras River in Georgetown, MD.  Off the Hook plans to restore the yacht basin to its former glory and reconnect with the local community in order to establish it as a household name in the area. 

As our founder is originally from Maryland, this will complement our current presence in the area, along with our MD sales team, which currently operates out of Bay Bridge Marina. The acquisition of the marina will allow us to expand on sales, service, and custom-built Nor-Tech Performance Boat sales in the region. Georgetown Yacht Haven has 300 slips, two paint sheds that can hold up to a 110-foot yacht, a 110-ton travel lift, a fuel dock, a swimming pool, bathhouses, and a complete ship store, along with many other amenities. GYH controls the largest travel lift in Northern Chesapeake Bay.

Performance & Range

Cocoa Bean is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 6,000 nautical miles from her 242,266 litre fuel tanks at 13 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Cocoa Bean knows a thing or two about fun on the water, with a selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to enjoy whilst on charter. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. Also there are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Additionally, there are two kayaks - a tranquil and relaxing way to pass the time. 73m superyacht Yalla launched by CRN

Italian yacht builder CRN has launched its 73m superyacht Yalla .

CRN welcomed more than 1,000 guests to the launching ceremony of CRN 132 Yalla , held late this morning at its shipyard in Ancona, Italy. The launch ceremony included speeches from Alberto Galassi, new CEO of the Ferretti Group , Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of CRN, Xinyu Xu, Vice-chairman of Weichai Group, and the Mayor of Ancona Valeria Mancinelli.

Part of the Ferretti Group,  CRN  specialises in custom yachts up to 90 metres in steel and aluminium. Yalla is the first yacht built by CRN on its new 12.5m beam platform. More than 430,000 hours from CRN and its subcontractors were spent on Yalla 's build, with contributions from 150 employees.

Exterior styling comes from Omega Architects in The Netherlands, in close collaboration with the CRN Engineering Department. The five-deck motor yacht features sleek, sporty lines and a streamlined profile. Superyacht Yalla 's interiors are by Droulers Architecture, working with CRN's Interiors and Design Office. She hosts up to 12 guests in its six cabins, including an owner's suite and VIP cabins, along with 22 crew members.

'Following the launch of CRN 133 61m superyacht a few months ago, we are proud to celebrate the launch of the new Yalla of 73m, which represents a challenge and an objective for the whole CRN shipyard,' says Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of CRN. ' Yalla will mark another important result for the development of CRN in the world. A sincere thanks for the trust of the owner and for the work of all employees and subcontractors who have worked on the project, to the architects Franck Laupman of Omega Architects and to Droulers Architecture. I also thank our shareholder Weichai Group and the new CEO of the Group Alberto Galassi for their participation in this important event for CRN and for the whole Ferretti Group.'

The Ferretti Group currently has five superyachts underway at the Ancona shipyard, including the 74m CRN 131, 55m CRN 134, a Ferretti Custom Line CL 124, the 61m CRN 133 and the Riva 122 Mythos , which are at the delivery stage.

Strange Glow Over Moscow Skies Triggers Panic as Explosions Reported

B right flashes lit up the night sky in southern Moscow in the early hours of Thursday morning, new footage appears to show, following reports of an explosion at an electrical substation on the outskirts of the city.

Video snippets circulating on Russian-language Telegram channels show a series of flashes on the horizon of a cloudy night sky, momentarily turning the sky a number of different colors. In a clip shared by Russian outlet MSK1.ru, smoke can be seen rising from a building during the flashes lighting up the scene.

Newsweek was unable to independently verify the details of the video clips, including when and where it was filmed. The Russian Ministry of Emergency situations has been contacted via email.

Several Russian Telegram accounts said early on Thursday that residents of southern Moscow reported an explosion and a fire breaking out at an electrical substation in the Leninsky district, southeast of central Moscow.

Local authorities in the Leninsky district told Russian outlet RBC that the explosion had happened in the village of Molokovo. "All vital facilities are operating as normal," Leninsky district officials told the outlet.

The incident at the substation in Molokovo took place just before 2 a.m. local time, MSK1.ru reported.

Messages published by the ASTRA Telegram account, run by independent Russian journalists, appear to show residents close to the substation panicking as they question the bright flashes in the sky. One local resident describes seeing the bright light before losing access to electricity, with another calling the incident a "nightmare."

More than 10 villages and towns in the southeast of Moscow lost access to electricity, the ASTRA Telegram account also reported. The town of Lytkarino to the southeast of Moscow, lost electricity, wrote the eastern European-based independent outlet, Meduza.

Outages were reported in the southern Domodedovo area of the city, according to another Russian outlet, as well as power failures in western Moscow. Electricity was then restored to the areas, the Strana.ua outlet reported.

The cause of the reported explosion is not known. A Telegram account aggregating news for the Lytkarino area described the incident as "an ordinary accident at a substation."

The MSK1.ru outlet quoted a local resident who speculated that a drone may have been responsible for the explosion, but no other Russian source reported this as a possible cause.

Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Moscow with long-range aerial drones in recent months, including a dramatic wave of strikes in late May.

On Sunday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the region's air defense systems had intercepted an aerial drone over the city of Elektrostal, to the east of Moscow. No damage or casualties were reported, he said.

The previous day, Russian air defenses detected and shot down another drone flying over the Bogorodsky district, northeast of central Moscow, Sobyanin said.

There is currently no evidence that an aerial drone was responsible for the reported overnight explosion at the electrical substation in southern Moscow.

1987 Beneteau First 235   Simply put, this is one of the finest boats in this size range and exciting to sail. I actually dont know many other boats that pack so much into such a small package, mixing performance and usability in a very compelling fashion.   How many 23 foot boats do you see with a galley, ice box, sink, and 2 burner stove, directly across from a fully enclosable marine head which doubles as a working nav station with slide out table? How about a 23 ft boat with an aft sleeping area? How about an interior that doesnt demand you bend double at the waist? Or somewhere a 6'3 person can stretch out without jamming feet into a corner? How about the very same toe rail, chocks, cleats, and other fittings as found on the Beneteau/Jeanneau 50? And how many boats can combine all this with performance that embarrasses many with longer water lines?mixing performance and usability in a very compelling fashion.

Amadeus Description

Built by the famous Dynamique Yachts shipyard, and having undergone a total refit in 2018, S/Y Amadeus was designed to please the most demanding of yachtsmen. Built for smooth sailing, this elegant cutter rigged sloop has a sleek hull design, comfortably reaching top speeds of 12 knots and ensuring excellent sailing performance. S/Y Amadeus has just undergone this past winter (2018) a major refit such as total repaint top to bottom, new rigging (BSI Denmark), Novourania with new Evinrude 75hp outboard, Splash pool, new Bimini/Sprayhood/Awnings, new exterior fabrics and many other enhancements. In 2016 new “North Sails” were placed onboard. The yacht is maintained in excellent condition with a five-star crew year round. Her generous uncluttered teak deck offers plenty of space for sunbathing. The spacious and unique outdoor saloon has two tables seating upto 12 guests and is a perfect setting for outdoor dining and entertainment. Thanks to a special canopy and roll-up windows, the deck saloon has the added attraction that it can be fully enclosed, making it ideal for all weather conditions. Her forward area includes a splash pool and sun bathing area which can also be shaded with a removable awning. From the cockpit, a stairway leads to the light-filled spacious saloon offering ample seating, ideal for relaxing or enjoying a drink from the bar, and offers a formal dining area. This area also includes a LCD TV, entertainment center, ipod dock station, playstation, and is ideal for indoor activities. She can accommodate 10-12 guests in one full width master stateroom, two double bedded cabins each having one extra single bed and two twin bedded cabins which can be easily converted to double beds (upon request), thus, making her the only 5 double bedded sailboat in the Greek market. She also has a nice selection of toys which include water ski (adult and children), tubes, inflatable canoes, wakeboard, fishing rod and snorkeling gear.

CAPTAIN - Harry Fotopoulos Captain Harry is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a Captain Class A’ Diploma. He also holds a Canadian Commercial Pilot license class B, sailing and speedboat license. He has over 15 years of experience onboard many types of Charter Yachts. He holds Certificates in GMDSS, Fire Fighting & First Aid, Personal Safety, Life Saving, and Ship Security. He has a great knowledge of the Greek islands and will navigate guests to remarkable destinations. During his one season on board he showed great leadership skills and received positive feedback from all guests. He is calm yet very outgoing and speaks very good English. DECKHAND - Konstantinos Santas CHIEF STEWARDESS - Mirella Davint Mirella has 8+ years of experience as a stewardess onboard charter and private yachts. She has a very pleasant personality and she aims to accommodate her guests to the fullest. Comments received from previous guests are memorable. This will be Mirella’s eighth season onboard. Mirella speaks English and she is 38 years old. ENGINEER - Stelios Mandos Stelios holds an Engineer Class B’ Diploma from the Greek Merchant Marine Academy as well as a Sailor’s License. He has over 15 years of experience onboard Ocean-Going Vessels and Charter Yachts. His hobbies include spearfishing and sailing. He speaks good English. Stelios is 45 years old, married with two children. CHEF - Thanasis Kiritsis Thanasis is 39 years old and has worked as a chef for more than 20 years in numerous hotels restaurants, yachts and resorts including owning his own pastry shop / bakery for 5 years. Thanasis looks forward to welcoming his guests on board and introducing them to his culinary world. He speaks good English and Greek. He is a young chef full of energy, skills and passion towards his job. We are confident that he will serve his guests unforgettable flavors. ASSISTANT STEWARDESS - Anastasia Yurash Anastasia is 31 years old and has been in the yachting industry since 2021. Her working experience includes 7 years as a housekeeper and assistant stewardess. Anastasia speaks very good English. One of Anastasia’s strongest attributes is her appetite for work. She is also very sociable, welcoming and looks forward to having guests on board S/Y Amadeus. Her hobbies include Latin dancing, snowboard and yoga.

A General Description of Sailing Yacht AMADEUS

AMADEUS was previously registered as project/yacht name Amadeus 1er. This 33 metre (109 ft) luxury yacht was built by Dynamique Yachts in 1991. Sailing Yacht AMADEUS is a well proportioned superyacht. The yacht is a modern sloop with a cutter rig. The naval architecture office whom authored the design work on this ship was Philippe Briand. Luxury yacht AMADEUS is a quality yacht that is able to accommodate as many as 12 guests on board and has a total of 5 crew members.

Sailing yacht AMADEUS was built by the famous Dynamique Yachts shipyard .The yacht features superb sailing characteristics which are complimented by her spacious interior and abundant deck space. Sailing sloop AMADEUS can accommodate 10 passengers in five cabins. With one large master stateroom and four additional cabins which are all air conditioned and have en suite bathrooms. She also has two separate salons and a full dining room. The aft deck is fully covered with seating. The fore deck has an unique pool on deck and swimming in the sea is made accessible by a large swim aft platform.

The Construction & Naval Architecture relating to Luxury Yacht AMADEUS

Philippe Briand was the naval architect firm involved in the formal nautical design work for AMADEUS. Also the company Philippe Briand skillfully collaborated on this undertaking. In 1991 she was actually launched to triumph in Marans and following sea trials and final completion was afterwards passed on to the yacht owner. Dynamique Yachts completed their new build sailing yacht in France. A reasonable proportion is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 7.5 metres / 24.6 feet. With a 3.6m (11.8ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably deep. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is built with the use of composite. Over the deck of AMADEUS she is 32.7 (107.3 ft) in length. In 2004 extra refitting and modernisation was also finished.

Engines & Speed For S/Y AMADEUS:

She is driven by twin screw propellers. The main engine of the ship gives 375 horse power (or 276 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The combined thrust for the boat is therefore 750 HP / 552 KW.

Bestowing bedding for a maximum of 12 yacht guests sleeping aboard, the AMADEUS accommodates them in style. Normally the vessel requires approximately 5 professional crewmembers to run.

Her master cabin features a walk around king bed, desk/vanity, and en-suite bathroom. Additionally, there are two guest cabins each with a queen bed convertible to two twins, and two guest cabins each with a queen bed and twin bed. Each guest cabin has an en-suite.

Her main salon has a spacious, contoured conversational area, along with a large, flatscreen T.V. The aft deck features al fresco dining with Bimini top. Up on deck there are sun pads and a splash pool for you and your guests to enjoy.

Watersports offered include a 15 foot tender with 75hp engine, water skis for adults and children, tube, wakeboard, kayak, fishing gear, snorkeling gear, and rendezvous diving.

Sailing yacht AMADEUS is a stunning 110 ft yacht available for charter in Greece. With a clean, spacious teak deck and a unique outdoor saloon that can seat up to 12 guests across two tables, it’s the perfect place for outdoor dining and entertainment. The deck saloon can also be enclosed with a special canopy and roll-up windows, making it suitable for use in all weather conditions. At the front of the boat, there’s a splash pool and sunbathing area with a removable awning for shade.

Inside the boat, a staircase from the cockpit leads to a well-lit and roomy saloon area with plenty of seating, including a formal dining area, bar, LCD TV, entertainment center, iPod dock station, and Playstation. Sailing Yacht AMADEUS can accommodate 10-12 guests in five large cabins, including a full-width master stateroom and two double cabins, each with an extra single bed. The two twin cabins can also be converted to doubles upon request, making her the only sailboat on the Greek market with five double beds.

To add to the fun, sailing yacht AMADEUS also comes with a range of water toys, including adult and children’s water skis, tubes, inflatable canoes, wakeboard, fishing rod, and snorkeling gear. She was built by Dynamique Yachts in 1996 and underwent a refit in 2014/2018.

Accomodation is offered for 10 -12 guests in 5 spacious cabins: Master cabin forward features a double bed, vanity unit and generous storage facilities, as well as audio/visual entertainment. The en-suite includess a large bath tub, shower and separate WC. Two identical double cabins with additional single bunks situated forward. Two identical double cabins situated aft which can be convertible to twins. (Total 5 double beds) All cabins with en suite facilities and audio/visual entertainment.

A professional crew of 5-6 members are accommodated in separate quarters.

Charter the AMADEUS

AMADEUS is a 110-foot sailing yacht that can accommodate ten to twelve passengers in five staterooms as follows: a spacious Owner’s stateroom with a double bed, a vanity and an entertainment unit including TV, DVD and music system; two cabins with a double bed and an additional single bed; two cabins with two twin beds each. All staterooms have en suite bathrooms, a TV, DVD and CD player. There are two separate salons onboard as well as a full dining room. The aft deck is fully covered and has seating for all guests to dine in the open air. Forward of the cockpit is a lovely cushioned area for sunning and an unusual pool is found in the fore of the yacht. Swimming in the sea is made accessible by the large swim aft platform.

Built in 2008, Amadeus offers guest accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites comprising a master suite, one VIP cabin and one twin cabin. There are 4 beds in total, including 1 queen, 1 double and 2 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 2 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you, notably Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Launched in 1996 by Dynamique Yachts, Amadeus is a 110 foot sailing sloop. To keep her up to date and comfortable for her guests, she has received refits in 2014 and 2018. She has been fitted with twin 320hp Perkins Rolls Royce engines for power, along with her sails.

Seriously now, how it is even possible to have a girl in the tickets issuing white building , in the Gorky Park Pier, who is exceptional RUDE and she doesn't know even a simple word of English and she seem that she doesn't care to sell any tickets to tourists ?! We left the ticket office because she couldn't answer to anything and because she was really aggressive because we don't speak Russian!!! Despite the fact that we were really kind and smiling, trying to speak to her. We found completely unacceptable the fact that they work with tourists but they demand from them to know Russian! Even though, a kind and gently mannered person will find a way to explain something. Unfortunately the specific ...lady was a savage-like one, coming from the mountains and never having met other people again. What a shame.

Starting out for an 8:00 p.m. cruise on a poor or rather dull August 1st day, we had to wait for a later boarding at about 20:15! We were shepherded upstairs to the upper deck, which was thankfully enclosed with glass windows, with seats facing both forward and backwards or better… fore and aft facing! As we reached the top deck (about 7 steps, but steep) we walked about 6 meters and had to jog to the right, in order not to disturb a mic boom and speaker setup, denoting our impending entertainment for the evening! 2 chairs, padded, adorned with 2 very well used 6-string guitars… plus a load of other equipment, including 5' high speakers and amps, etc. My party (4 of us) including my wife, her half-sister with her husband, whom we had only known about 14 months, after belatedly finding out about each other, who were visiting us from a European country for a few days! Super people! My wife had arranged this trip at the tentative request of her half-brother-in-law. The boat was nothing special as far as comfort was concerned, but we had front seats! I was a little worried about volume from the massive speakers! No worry needed! We left, with perhaps one third full of passengers only and the 2 chairs were almost immediately occupied by 2 men, pleasant looking, both nicely dressed, who picked up the guitars and the first, Dmitry, began to narrate our passage along the Moscow River. Shortly afterwards, the narration comfortable allowed the introduction of the first song, with basic chords being played by Dmitry with Alexei playing, expert accompaniment to Dmitry's vocals. He thoroughly enjoyed his role, as did Dmitry. For 21/2 hours, we plied the river, with an ever deepening dusk, bringing forth romantic Russian songs by well-known Russian composers, making the river trip a really enjoyable experience, particularly as both my wife and I are both fans of this type of music along with our newly-found family. The engine noises could hardly be heard, the cabin was pleasantly warm, but not hot, and tea and coffee was served an hour before landing. Docking happened at about 22:20 with no rush and we alighted at the same point that we had boarded… a very enjoyable evening all told! Thank you Moscow River Tours or Art_Stolitsa!

Today we decided to do a river cruise to orientate us to Moscow. With no knowledge of Russian we purchased an audio guide. We walked 9kms in very hot weather to get to the departure point and asked several people for directions. Number one frustration is that muscovites don't get tourism or customer service and look straight thru you. We finally found the wharf and with several boats departing we got the same 'look straight through you' until finally we had to shame someone into finding our boat the Cahta Mapnr, which then departed 35 mins later then the booking agent advised. We went to the top deck which had no cover and tried to find some shade.And you guessed it the audio didn't work. The staff had no idea how to handle a disgruntled passenger and i got nowhere asking for a refund. Go back to the booking agent they said to which i replied ' how would they know i didnt get what i paid for. I have worked in tourism for most of my working life so know a bit about the industry. You have a wonderful product but you must train your operators! There was one young man,Bec, who tried valiantly to placate me and he will go far. I admit I lost my cool after being ignored by so many and frying in the hot sun and not being able to identify the magnificent buildings..

No tour info in English. Mostly Russians on this boat. We were the only non-Russian tourists. If you don't buy the ticket online, they charge more than double the price at the pier. (If you are looking at a tablet or computer screen you will see this info, but not on a phone screen.) As a result many customers were complaining and arguing with the ticket sellers. The boat was playing LOUD unbearably awful music. Website stated that music would be played and we were expecting Russian folk tunes with balalaikas. Instead, we got really bad rock with English lyrics. The cruise was 2+ hours and it would have been impossible to enjoy with the noise. It was so bad that we asked for our money back before the boat departed. They said they could not provide a refund because the tickets had been torn already. After we caused a minor insurrection --luckily we had a Russian friend with us -- the captain turned off the music. (He said he didn't like it either but he was required to play it.) There are numerous river tour companies in Moscow and most seem to be in the same price range. I recommend asking them if the boats have outdoor shaded places where you will not be subjected to loud music.
