“Visit to Marina Yacht Club Restaurant, Bodrum is a must!” Review of Marina Yacht Club Restaurant

My son and I loved our holiday in Bodrum. We visited Marina Yacht Club Restaurant, the food was delicious, my son had seafood risotto, i tasted it, it was really tasty and I had mixed seafood in a broth, full of goodness and tasty, that was our mains. Starter, like a cheese board with different types of meats and cheeses, honeydew melon and also 1 piece of octupus, so delicious. Dessert was warm chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and orange tiramisu. Everything was so good, service you could not fault, quick and staff were pleasant and professional! If we ever go to Bodrum again, we would definitely visit this restaurant again.

So where do I start………. We arrived and was shown to our table with a nice view. We were given the menu the young waiters who served us couldn’t speak English, so was a bit of a challenge to order our drinks, even though the menu is in Turkish and English! We had to call the manager so we could check the right drinks were ordered. We ordered our food again with the manager present so we were all clear on what was ordered. Our starters were nice couldn’t complain on the part. Our mains arrived and my husband sent his back as the chips and veg was cold, myself and my friend’s veg and sauce was also cold but we didn’t send ours back. We were given desert menus but had to ask them to take our order after waiting 29 mins. Due to our dissatisfaction I flagged our experience with the owner and he apologised. After this the young waiter threw some napkins and wipes in our table! Clearly not very happy. The bill arrived and my husband challenged and said are we expected to pay the full bill when the service and the food was not great. My husband was trying to explain and the manager said “don’t speak over me” then the owner came and said “just pay the bill and leave and threw the card machine in the table” We have never experienced such bad service in all our lives, totally shocking!! We paid and left and my friend was so shocked she went back into the restaurant to speak to the owner and the the manager said “what do you want” she asked for the owner and was told he’s not here. We have been here twice before and can honestly say it’s gone downhill massively, never ever have we been treated so badly. Very aggressive owner and manager, we won’t be back that’s for sure.

We’ve visited here most days over the last two weeks, either for lunch, supper or just drinks. There’s something on the menu for everyone. There was no issue with separating the meat from the cheese on the charcuterie board either.

Excellent food and ambience. Very friendly staff who help you make good food choices. Located on the waterfront the vibe is youthful

Just arrived in my boat and wanted a quick drink but only had euros on me Went to pay the bill and got quite a surly look from the manager when I offered him the money He wanted Turkish Lira!! Get over yourself you idiotic man you most definitely ripped me off anyway I won’t ever use the place again Off to Greece now where the people are much nicer

Like some of the other reviews mentioned, it seems like the manager was the only one who spoke English. I'm very grateful we got service from him because he gave my mom, my grandma and I a very private and quiet dining area, away from... the smoke - within their funky art gallery. The manager recommended all his top picks for vegetarian foods, and got everything delivered to us promptly. Their desserts are delicious, ravioli was too, hummus was wonderful, and the pizza was as pizza is. The live music isn't overwhelming either, and the location was really lovely. Everything was first class. Fantastic location on the roof overlooking the yachts. Attentive, professional service. Delicious food. 2 x bottles of good quality wine, started for 2, mains for 2 £85…worth every penny.

We visited last night and I can't explain how disappointing it was. We made a reservation via email and eventually got a reply after 6 days. I also asked for a table with a good view, if possible, but I got no reply to that... request at all, even after a reminder. Whe we arrived we were given a table a long way from the best area, so I showed the email to the Guest Relations man. He said that he had replied once and "what more you want?". Rude and shocking. The food: My food was really cold and my friend's was like a fish stew....nothing like described on the menu. Drinks: They pushed Turkish "champagne" even though we wanted French or even Italian prosecco. We took the prosecco but it was warm so they put ice in it!! The bill: This includes mandatory service charge (although the only time they asked how we were was when the bill came) and a charge for the entertainment which was DOWNSTAIRS! Ridiculous. English was very poor from the staff for such a tourist location. Basically, poor service, poor food and nobody will care about this review or other reviews too. More

I do not recommend it at all! It is not fine dining, be aware of it, however, they charge you like one. The food was absolutely horrible!! We ordered a lamb and a seafood dish, but both came on the table very late. The lamb... was cold and of really bad quality ! I ordered a seafood dish but I got seafood stew!!! Additionally, they cared more about their own people and friends than a normal customers table! Although the table next to us came 30 min later than us, they received their food earlier. Most importantly, the manager is very RUDE and aggressive! Do not forget they put a mandatory service fee on top on the bill, so you do not have a choice to decide if the service warrants any tip!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! Do not waste your money and time! It pretends to be upper class but the overall experience was very far from it! More

WARNING DO NOT COME HERE! They do not deserve spending your time and money on. The workers are extremely rude and arrogant. When calling them they will promise you a seat close to the water and live shows and etc. don’t believe in them and... don’t come here! The meat was dry and tasteless. I had to season the meat myself with salt and pepper. More

Apart from constantly having menus flying in my face the food was lovely. Well presented. I had the seafood in the shell and it was divine. The live band was a nice additional touch. I do feel like the Cocktail menu could have had more... variety but the wines were good. Yes avoid going here when it’s windy due to being right on the marina the winds did cause a lot of havoc. Very nice place! Very safe if going out with a beautiful woman. No one will bother you, not like some other places in Bodrum. I was at Smoky Lounge Bar and Hells Angels bikers came and started throwing stuff at my girlfriend to get her... attention so we just left. Bodrum is not a safe place! Never going back to Bodrum! Hells Angels have a huge club in Bodrum and are everywhere always looking to make trouble. AVOID! More

It's a place with 3 different restaurants,international,italian and seafood.It also has a big area for a club in which live music starts every night at 10:30 and finishes at 1:30.On Fridays and Saturdays, Askin Arsunan (famous jazz pianist) and his band performs very good music;a... little bit jazz,a little bit soul,funk, even some Turkish music.On Sundays and Mondays, world famous Turkish singer and musician Fatih Erkoc and Zafer Cebi Band perform English songs in the first half and Turkish songs in the second.On Tuesdays,Wednesdays and Thursdays, another famous Turkish band with real good musicians called Istanbul Gelisim performs great music too. Either dine in one of the restauarants or have a drink at the club, but be sure to visit this place if you visit Bodrum. P.S. There is no entrance fee.You pay only for what you drink and it's not expensive.Enjoy! More

Marina Yacht Club Restaurant is probably the most scenic and entertaining place in downtown Bodrum. The restaurant's selection is mostly seafood and meze, but they also have a selection of meat and pasta specialties... Unlike most other seafood restaurants in Bodrum, however, Marina Yacht Club... has a published seafood menu, so that you know that you won't be charged according to the mood of the establishment... The seafood and appetizers are very good, if not excellent, and the desserts are worth tasting.... Moreover, Marina Yacht Club also has a bar section and stage with live music almost every day of the week. The quality of the bands vary slightly, but most of the time it is worth to spend at least an hour at the bar and watch the scene. The place is popular with locals and tourists, and I guess that says a lot about the quality and atmosphere of any establishment. I would recomment Marina Yacht Club without hesitation... More

Food service is excellent but I can not say the same thing for the music. Especially their music selection during their break was terrible. Yol project need a sound crew especially for the terrace guests.

Special thanks to the manager of the restaurant. I guess he's the only one speaking english (??!!) Mistake in the food order but the manager rapidly change it otherwise the food was good and the live music band was cheering up the dinner atmosphere

Had a very pleasant evening at MYC. Sat upstairs where we could watch the entertainment. Good but not great food. Fairly priced for the ambience.

Except for nice views over marina, this place is nothing special. Food, service...really nothing stands out. Ok, it might be one of the best restaurants in Bodrum - which only shows their (poor) quality. In short - would never come back again.

Authentic local food with mostly local guests. They also have live music most nights and it's worth dining here and then staying for the music at 10 30pm. Wines are a bit hit and miss and we didn't like the Turkish selection they had.

Established on 30th August 2001, Bodrum Offshore Sailing Club, known as BAYK, is within the borders of the marina and organises sponsored or non-sponsored races during the year. Bodrum Sea Rescue Association, founded in 1999, operates as a free of charge rescue crew in the marina, having coordination with Coast Guard Command, servicing 24-hours and is reachable from VHF channels 16 and 73.
