The sail plan is medium-sized , equipped with a large furling genoa.

There are two winches for each halyard, a mainsheet on the deckhouse and two in the cockpit for the standard genoa.

The profile of the boat is particularly sinuous thanks to the high bulwarks that seem to envelop the whole hull, offering wide spaces and good freedom of movement on the lowe deck.

The dinette is definitively wide and equipped with all the elements that make conviviality comfortable below deck: a large dining table surrounded by a U-shaped sofa and a single one on the left side, a galley equipped with oven, double sink, double fridge and iceboz, and a comfortable chart table on the starboard side. The brightness is excellent, thanks to the numerous windows in the deckhouse.

The sleeping zone consists of three heads and five spacious cabins with good headroom. The result is a very welcoming and relaxing space, where comfort is the master and the furnishings, classic and prestigious, add a touch of refinement.

The Bavaria 51 Cruiser looks sophisticated and elegant. She has a furling headsail and in-mast furling which are led back to the two electric primary winches and jib cars inboard on the cabin top. She will exhibit great pointing ability. The added cruising bonus is that it keeps the side decks clear.

This is a great sailor's yacht with a draft of 2.25 meters. The shallow draft is enough to get into the best anchorages without compromising sailing ability. This brings us to the other side of sailing, manoeuvrability in and out of the marina. This boat won’t have you going sideways down the fairway, with her Gori propeller, 75hp engine, twin spade rudders and bow thruster, you will be docking this boat in and out of the marina with ease. Once you arrive at the dock in style people will ask What design she is. It will make you immensely proud to say it's a yacht that is designed by one of New Zealand's most successful boat designers Bruce Farr.

She was originally purchased as a New Zealand new boat and has sailed around the coast between Picton to the Bay of Islands. Indicating that her milage is very low compared with many production boats that arrive in New Zealand from the other side of the world.

On the bow, you will find a large storage locker for spare sails and other equipment. The cockpit features a drop-leaf table that doubles as a coolbox and at the aft end hold of the table, you can find the console for the instruments. Gaining additional practical experience, learning new things and exchanging ideas with each other - more than 35 service technicians from our dealers were able to do all of this during a week-long BAVARIA service workshop at our shipyard.

It is the Oscar of the yachting industry, the European Yacht of the Year Award. The BAVARIA YACHTS team is all the more proud that the BAVARIA C46 was able to beat six competitors in the "Family Cruiser" category

Last week, the last BAVARIA VISION 42 was completed in Giebelstadt. On Friday morning, part of the BAVARIA YACHTS team gathered to give her a fitting farewell. The sailing yacht celebrated its premiere at the boot Düsseldorf in 2012 and the almost 13 metre long yacht was built in the shipyard for just over 12 years.

At the beginning of last year, the BAVARIA SR41 won the "British Motorboat Award", the BAVARIA SR36 won the "Best of Boat Award" just a few months later and was nominated for the "European Powerboat of the Year". BAVARIA YACHTS got off to a flying start at the Cannes Yachting Festival, where the German shipyard was represented with a total of eight motor and sailing yachts.

That’s why a regular inspection and cleaning of filter/water separator is unavoidable. The fuel tank should be completely emptied and cleaned once a year.
• Page 20 The chain locker is made watertight against the yacht. It is self-bailing through two holes in the skin. All BAVARIA yachts have got a self-bailing cockpit, too. The drain wells are situated at the rear and lowest part of the cockpit and are led outboard through the transom with hoses.

The plug box ( meeting the CEE-norm) is installed at the transom of the yacht.

The gas pipe leading to the stove from the standard 3 kg–gas cylinder is an 8mm copper pipe. It is placed into a self-bailing casing moulded into the deck in the rear cockpit area.

This includes the choice of materials, the distance of stove flames to the surrounding built-in furniture and an island position of the engine.

• Page 33 Sailing Yacht Bavaria 49 Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH 2.10 Exhaust gas system The yacht is fitted with a “wet“ exhaust gas system, i.e. cooling sea water is injected into the exhaust gas elbow causing a cooling of exhaust gases. This mixture is led down into a silencer/water lock, runs through a pipe in the locker seat on the starboard side of the aft cabin, is led upwards at the stern and escapes to the side above the water-line.

Environmental protection BAVARIA YACHTBAU has already met the legal requirements referring to exhaust gas regulations with its choice for the inboard diesel installed. An exhaust gas type-examination certificate can be handed in or sent on later.
• Page 37 Sailing Yacht Bavaria 49 Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH 2. Sails The sails are made of Dacron. This material is very robust and resistant. Thus the sails keep their form for a very long time. Inspect all your running and standing rigging carefully for sharp edges, splints, protruding ends of wire and the like because laminated cloth is especially sensitive against touching them.

They are caused by flying rust or particles of iron, which are flying in the air and in all harbours placed near big towns. As soon as the flying rust will set down to the protective coat of the stainless steel, it destroys the cr-passivity, and this goes very aggressive and fast.
