Get out on the open water by kayak, ferry over to the Island, or tour Lake Ontario on Toronto boat cruises! There are a ton of different boating adventures to go on #AtTheWaterfront , and we’ve done our best to list the various ways to get out on Toronto’s waterfront here!

Boats typically operate during the warmer months – usually between May and October, but it is best to check with the operator. Tickets for boat excursions and rentals tend to book up quickly, especially on weekends, so we encourage you to call the operators ahead to book your excursion.

You can find convenient parking lot locations on our parking webpage , or access these boats by rideshare, TTC, GO Transit, foot, or by bike.

WATER TAXIS AND FERRIES TO TORONTO ISLAND

Water taxis are a super convenient way to get to the Toronto Islands. They can drop you off at one of three drop-off points: Wards Island, Centre Island, or Hanlan’s Point. Each water taxi company docks at an independent spot along the mainland and can take you to all three docks on the Toronto Islands. Most companies also provide quick return taxi service from the islands. Getting There

The Club is located on Stadium Road close to the foot of Bathurst and across the Western Channel from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

Take the 511 Bathurst Streetcar from Bathurst Station south to Queens Quay. Or take the 509 Harbourfront Streetcar west from Union Station or east from Exhibition Place to Bathurst St. Walk west on the south side of Queens Quay to Stadium Road. Turn south on Stadium Road. Continue on Stadium Road as it curves towards the west. Follow straight until the end of the road. The Alexandra Yacht Club will be on your right.

There is no onsite parking at Alexandra Yacht Club (the boats are all out of the water for the winter and fill the yard). We encourage everyone to come via cab, Lyft, or another mode of transit if feasible.

Those coming by car may get lucky and find on-street parking on Little Norway Crescent or Stadium Road (just don't park on the part that runs east-west, closest to the club). The closest pay parking is at the south end of Stadium Road where it turns west. This lot is outrageously expensive though ($9.00/hour to a max of $45.00 per 24 hours). Our (online) research leads us to believe that the underground parking just a little bit north at 33 Stadium Road is a much better deal ($5.00/hour up to $15.00 per 24 hours) so that may well be your best bet.

Fraser and Kasia met on a blind date (thanks Shelina and Casey!) on October 13, 2016. She arrived in her sweaty high-visibility running gear, because, you gotta get your run in. He arrived in a vintage two-tone MEC jacket, because, style. (Kasia wrote that part. Fraser would say he wore that because that's his coat that he wears. He will admit it is a little bit stylish if you squint.) They sat side by side facing the window at a glorified lunch-counter and shared a vegan pulled jackfruit sandwich and a salad. Afterwards they went for a drink. She was cold and he gave her his jacket. They hugged goodbye and it was nice. It was an auspicious beginning.

They began to see a lot of each other. He invited her over for a meal of soup and home baked bread (neither of which foods, he later learned, she particularly likes). She encouraged him to watch hockey (a departure from his upbringing!). She was nervous to ask if they were officially "dating" because that was not something she'd ever done before. (What's dating? How do you date? Is this too early to date? "Date.") But he calmed her fears and said "duh." When he first told her he loved her she gasped, shocked. He laughed.

They've made a life together. With two troublesome cats, many plants in various states of health (Fraser says, not enough plants), and a CIUT morning soundtrack (Tuesday mornings are wild! ). They are fortunate to love each other's families and friends. They are blessed to share interests and passions. Life is so much more fun when they're together.

Kasia claims, though, that they're mainly together because she laughs at his jokes (which Fraser will gladly admit are mostly inane).

They're very excited for the rest of their lives together.
