Owner's Suite

This premium suite (447 sq. ft. / 41.53 sq. meters) includes a thoughtfully appointed separate master bedroom suite with a permanent queen size bed and flat screen TV. Large master bathroom with massage shower and separate soaking tub with views of the sea. A spacious living with flat screen TV, writing desk and ½ guest bath. Dining area. The Owner’s Suite is suite number 315 on both yachts, located mid ship on Deck 3 – Close to the pool (aft, deck 3).

Admiral Suite

Enjoy 375 sq. ft. / 34.8 sq. meters of living space with ocean views from a total of 3 picture windows. Partitioned living and dining areas with ½ guest bath and closet. Separate and private en-suite master bedroom with permanent queen bed and closet. Marble-lined bathroom with multi-jet shower and soaking tub. Built-in dresser with writing desk. The Admiral Suite is Suite 400 on both yachts and is near the Library.

The 40.23m/132' motor yacht 'Sea Dreams' (ex. Life's Finest II) was built by Northcoast Yachts in the United States at their Tacoma shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Robin Rose & Associates and she was completed in 1995. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Northcoast Yachts and she was last refitted in 2021.

Guest Accommodation

Sea Dreams has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Her features include a gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel Detroit Diesel (16V149TA) 2,400hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 35,579 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her low draft of 2.11m/6'11" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. An on board stabilization system ensures comfort when underway. Her water tanks store around 7,570 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) classification society rules.

Follows the review of SeaDream 2 suite accommodations as furniture, amenities and complimentary services.

Guests in all SeaDream Suites enjoy the following amenities: bedroom/sleeping area (queen bed, large-size wardrobe), living area (smart UHDTV, electronic safe box, mirrored vanity table), private bathroom (WC-toilet, sink, massage shower, robes, slippers, hairdryer, luxury brand bath products), 24-hour room service.

Owner Suites have a bedroom (media center), master bedroom (with ocean view, bathtub), living room (dining area, 2nd media center, 1/2 bathroom).

Admiral Suites have separate living/dining areas (media center), 2 bathrooms (master, and 1-half), master bedroom (queen bed, media center), 3 large windows.

Combine Suites have 2 separate living areas, each with a full bathroom and closet, and a 4-seats dining table.

Yacht Club cabins have a large picture window, with a living area, bedroom, bathroom (shower only).

During the dry-dock refurbishment in May 2008, all SeaDream II cabins received new furniture and upholstery. A curtain separates the living room from the bedroom. Bathrooms feature Italian marble and multi-jet-spray massage showers.

• The “Commodore Suite” accommodation is actually 2 connecting Yacht Club cabins put together, thus with 2 baths. The second room serves as a living area with table and chairs. There is a connecting door to the bedroom in the adjoining room.
• The “Admiral” and “Owner’s” suite accommodations as size are comparable to an average city apartment. Both cabin types are with additional bathrooms, multiple TV sets, and more windows, plus a separate full-size tub and Nespresso coffee machine.

During the drydock refurbishment in 2022, all SeaDream 2 staterooms were full-scale renovated and received new hardware, textiles, wardrobes, electrical upgrades (power outlets, USB charging ports), Wi-Fi, fingerprint sensor lights, 55-inch smart HDTVs. Cabin amenities were also upgraded - premium woven lines, top-quality silk pajamas, silver ice buckets, GioBagnara Miramar serving trays.

MONACO GRAND PRIX

Race car lovers: Did you get your fix during the Firestone Grand Prix in St. Pete this month? If not, follow your passion and head to Monaco May 24-26 for the Monaco Grand Prix. The glamourous Formula One motor racing event has been held annually since 1929. Stay in the newly renovated and iconic Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, which dates back to 1864. This slice of Riviera opulence was the setting for two James Bond movies. Stroll a few steps to the Casino de Monte-Carlo, where I learned to play baccarat (and looked for George Clooney).

BY LAND OR BY SEA

Skip the traffic and arrive at Monaco’s yacht-filled harbor by boat. I loved the SeaDream Yacht Club, with a maximum of 112 guests, 95 crew members and five-star service.

Cruising is so popular that The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection announced that their ship, Evrima, is offering 21 new voyages in the Mediterranean from April to November. This is the first time a hotel company has expanded into the luxury cruising category. Watch for the debut of the company’s new yacht, Ilma, slated to embark from Monte Carlo on Sept. 2.

SAFARI ADVENTURES

For bucket list safari adventures, I turned to a local expert. John Harvey started Opulent Africa, a high-end luxury safari company, in 2008. He has been offering African adventures from his St. Pete office since 2020. “We advise our clients to take the direct 16-hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg,” Harvey said. His guests then fly into the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve and choose a first-class lodge (options include the Ulusaba Rock Lodge, Singita Boulders Lodge and the Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge). Here, guests can see the “Big Five” animals (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffaloes) daily.

St. Pete resident Susan Robertson visited Kruger National Park in South Africa in 2022. “We stayed in Ulusaba, the private game reserve owned by Sir Richard Branson. Animals roamed freely and meandered alongside our private Jeep. (Branson) was there greeting guests!”

Tampa International Airport was named the second-best large airport in the country in USA Today’s 2023 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The airport also added two new airlines for 2023. Porter Airlines began daily nonstop service to Toronto and Lynx Air started service to both Toronto and Montreal. On April 10, Frontier will resume flights from Tampa to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. On May 16, Frontier will bring back its route between Tampa and the Dominican resort area of Punta Cana, plus nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
