Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8 in Italy onboard motor yacht MUSTIQUE

Premiered on 25 September, Bravo’s hit series delivers yet another season of drama and even some chaotic franchise firsts onboard the 180-feet motor yacht MUSTIQUE  by Trinity Yachts. With Captain Sandy and her crew, she cruises the Italian Riviera amidst the meltdowns, hookups, and partying. 

This season is based out of Genoa where MUSTIQUE sailed back in mid-August until mid-September of last year. Anchoring in Santa Margherita, Sestri Levante, and La Spezia near Portofino , charter guests enjoyed the stunning views of the Ligurian province’s colorful fishing towns and cliffsides. 

Equally beautiful were the facilities aboard this season’s luxury charter yacht , which was designed by Dee Robinson. While it was refitted in 2018, MUSTIQUE still retains much of her elegant interiors from the original construction in 2005. Viewers of Below Deck Mediterranean will be able to admire the yacht’s classical mahogany paneling set against cream carpets and upholstery, as well as the bathrooms’ marbled surfaces.

Finely balancing the classic with the contemporary, MUSTIQUE is a luxury yacht capable of delivering the best of everything.

The megayacht has 6 cabins that can hold 12 guests in 9 beds with a crew of 12. Its special features include a baby grand piano and a deck jacuzzi, which guarantees to keep charter guests as entertained as those who Captain Sandy and her crew served. With its full-displacement steel hull, MUSTIQUE offers guests a much more stable onboard experience at anchor. It also has an advanced stabilization system which reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht, promising guests comfort even while cruising at a speed of 12 knots. 

When Below Deck’s featured guests weren’t cruising, they could enjoy the truly extensive selection of water toys onboard MUSTIQUE: after soaking up the sun on her chic sundeck, the luxury yacht invites guests to soar over the water on Zapata Flyboards or Yamaha FX WaveRunner; MUSTIQUE also has waterskis, a seabob, paddleboards, and much more. 

This year's season of  Below Deck Mediterranean  was based out of Genoa , an historical maritime city which is a popular stop-off on Mediterranean charters owing to its ornate palazzos and stunning medieval buildings. Charter guests were then taken down along the coast to small seaside towns like  Sestri Levante and Santa Margherita , which is home to a pretty palm-laden promenade that visitors can stroll along with an Italian coffee in hand from one of the local cafes. While this year's guests did not visit Portofino, this is the most popular destination in the Ligurian Province  and a must-see for Italian charters. Why These Below Deck Med Season 8 Cast Members Will Look Familiar to Fans

Two of the Mustique crew members originally appeared on a different show in the Below Deck franchise.

Below Deck Mediterranean  returned for Season 8 on September 25, and Captain Sandy Yawn and the rest of the M/Y Mustique crew are living and working together on the Italian Riviera.

In addition to Captain Sandy and fellow returning Below Deck Med cast members  Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen , two of the other Mustique  yachties will look familiar to fans of the Below Deck franchise.

• Tumi Mhlongo

The Mustique chief stew originally appeared on the debut season of Below Deck Down Under . During her time on the Australia-based series, Tumi was a second stew on Aesha Scott 's interior team. 

Tumi spoke to The Daily Dish about making the transition from Below Deck Down Under to Below Deck Mediterranean . The latter show marked Tumi's first time working on a vessel in the Mediterranean, and it also was her first experience as a chief stew. 

She noted that she was "so grateful" to get to work with both Captain Sandy and Captain Jason Chambers , and that spending time in the Mediterranean was a dream come true.  

"I was so excited," she said about spending the Below Deck Med charter season on the Italian Riviera. "When I first joined yachting, I really wanted to work in the Med and I never landed a job there... As a chief stew, I would never, never, never have thought that would be my first experience, so it was amazing. The views are insane."

• Luka Brunton

Like Tumi, Luka is also a Below Deck Down Under alum — though the two didn't get the chance to work together until Below Deck Med Season 8.

Luka joined the Northern Sun  crew midway through Season 2, after Adam Kodra got fired.

His arrival came at just the right time, as Bosun João Franco wanted someone on deck who could help motivate the rest of the team. Luka got promoted to the lead deckhand position, and Captain Jason recommended him to Captain Sandy. 

Now, Luka is back on deck with the Mustique crew.

Watch new episodes of  Below Deck Mediterranean  on Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo, and stream episodes the next day on Peacock .

Captain Sandy Yawn and both new and returning crew members are back for Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 featuring more drama than ever. The Below Deck spinoff centers around a group of yachties who work on a luxury yacht traveling to pristine locations in the Mediterranean. For many seasons now, the show has always delivered with its demanding charter guests, breathtaking locations, and intense arguments between the crew.

Bravo posted the trailer for Below Deck Mediterranean season 8, and there were no dull moments. The season takes place on a new yacht called the M/Y Mustique, which sails around the Italian Rivera, and premieres on Monday, September 25. Captain Sandy once again runs a tight ship , threatening one crew member by saying, " Your screaming, your lack of respect, I won't tolerate it. I don't want a person like you on board ."

Second stews Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen from Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 are working under Captain Sandy for another season. Below Deck Down Under star Tumi Mhlongo makes her debut crossing over to another franchise spinoff as Chief Stew, as well as deckhand Luka Brunton. Chef Jack Luby and Bosun Ruan Irving join the cast, along with deckhands Haleigh Gorman and Lara Du Preez, with stew Jessika Asai rounding out the interior crew.

Natalya Scolds Below Deck Down Under’s Tumi For Having The “Worst Attitude”

In the Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 trailer, Natalya and Chief Stew Tumi get into heated arguments throughout the charter season. Tumi blasts Natalya's organization skills , calling it a " sh*t show ," while Natalya replies, " Don't do this with me ." Tumi also says to Natalya, " You have been attacking me since day one ," to where the second stew claps back, " You stepped on board with the worst attitude ." The Chief Stew reminds her fellow crew member that it's her first time in the position saying, " I have never come across a crew this crazy and I don't think I ever will. "

Below Deck Mediterranean has been on the air for a while, and has a long history of dramatic moments on the show. In previous seasons, former crew members like Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was fired for bringing Valium on board, which is against maritime laws. Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was also let go from the boat on Below Deck Mediterranean season 4 for making dishes that weren't up to the standards of a luxury yacht.

On Below Deck Mediterranean, fresh new yachties are welcomed each season to shake things up. However, the crew members who have appeared on the show together before like Natalya and Kyle will further explore their relationship as co-workers this season. With all the drama surrounding Below Deck Mediterranean season 8, it's certain to be a season that's worth the watch.

The wait for the Below Deck Med Season 8 premiere date and trailer is finally over!

Bravo dropped the first look teaser today.

Captain Sandy Yawn is back for her seventh season with the hit yachting show at the bridge of the M/Y Mustique luxury yacht.

Below Deck Med Season 8 takes place on the Italian Riviera, kicking off in Genoa, Italy.

It will be one wild ride for Captain Sandy and crew as the trailer reveals an oversized dose of drama on the show.

When does Below Deck Med Season 8 premiere, and who is the crew?

Monday, September 25, kicks off Below Deck Med Season 8 with a supersized episode at 9/8c.

That’s a time slot change from Below Deck Down Under, which airs back-to-back episodes on Monday nights at 8/7c. It’s unclear if Below Deck Med will take on the double episode block after the premiere.

New episodes will drop on Peacock every Tuesday, unlike the last two seasons, where episodes premiered on Peacock a week ahead of Bravo.

There are a few familiar faces among Captain Sandy’s crew.

Below Deck Down Under Season 1 alum Tumi Mhlongo takes on the chief stew role. Tumi has Below Deck Med Season 7 alums Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen on her interior team.

In the lead deckhand role is Luka Brunton , who just made his Below Deck Down Under Season 2 debut this week.

The rest of the crew are new to the yachting franchise. Chef Jack Luby and bosun Ruan Irving are the other department heads. Deckhands Haleigh Gorman and Lara Du Preez round out the exterior crew, while Jessika Asai is Tumi’s fourth stew.

What can Below Deck Med fans expect from Season 8?

The trailer makes it easy to see that the season is filled with so many crew changes. Captain Sandy threatens to fire someone and reveals one crew member has working visa issues.

Crew rifts are at an all-time high, too, especially between Tumi and Natalya. It seems the Season 7 tension between Natalya and Kyle hasn’t eased either because they have some explosive blowouts.

The video footage reveals a boatmance or a friends-with-benefits situation between Luka and Jessika. They aren’t the only ones either because the preview teases open relationships, breakups, and so much fighting.

A Below Deck Med first sees Captain Sandy leaving the yacht due to an injury. However, that doesn’t stop her from dealing with many difficult decisions regarding this crazy crew when a lack of productivity emerges due to personal relationships.
