Parking Update for Sailors - important changes
The Canberra Southern Cross Club has implemented paid parking to reduce unauthorised use of the car park area. We have worked closely with them on planning the change to ensure continued access for sailors.

Sailability at the CYC
The Canberra Yacht Club offers Sailability, an international program to assist people of all-abilities to get into sailing. This is by providing an additional level of support, an established network of volunteers, and resources to assist participants. Equipment is provided to assist those with limited mobility to get into and out of boats, with modified docking areas that are accessible and affordable options to participate. Different types of boats are provided including the Hansa Class that are easy to sail. If you have a disability and wish to experience “Freedom on the Water”, you are especially welcome typically Sunday morning. Find out more and Book Online here.
Buoyed Up with Tackers
Buoyed Up at the Canberra Yacht Club Buoyed Up with Tackers, is an initiative which assists vulnerable children aged 7-12 years to participate in the Junior Sailing program as a way to build confidence, self-esteem and engage in an active lifestyle. The program provides children from disadvantaged backgrounds with a unique fun-based opportunity that will enhance their general life skills and capabilities. The CYC Boat Shop has a comprehensive range for all your sailing requirements. We stock boat fittings, stainless wire, clothing, fiberglass repair kits, nuts & bolts, rope, paint, bags, and much more. We are located downstairs beside the CYC office. Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 4.00pm - Sunday 9.30am to 12.00 noon race days only. For all your boat repair needs or simply because you cant help yourself, come and check out the shop! Phone 6273 4777

SailPass Introductory Membership
SailPass is an introductory form of membership to allow non-members of a club to participate in sailing events in accordance with the Australian Sailing prescription at Racing Rules of Sailing 46.
SailPass provides participants with cover under the Australian Sailing Personal Accident Insurance policy for the day/s that the SailPass applies.
The first time you register you will receive an email with your Australian Sailing Number.
When registering for additional race days, please use your Australian Sailing Number as a Returning member.
Important: If you have been a member of our club (or any club) across Australia in the past few years, your details (including Australian Sailing Number) should be in our system. If you don't know your Australian Sailing Number, you can look it up here: AS Number Finder

The Canberra Yacht Club was formed in 1959 in anticipation of the creation of Lake Burley Griffin in the centre of Canberra, Australia, which happened in the 1960s. It is located on the shore in the suburb of Yarralumla . Its members have competed in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
BEGINNERS COURSE. Each beginner course consists of 14 hours of theory and practical coaching. $590 / adult. $570 / CSCC Member. Thursday evening. 5.30pm - 7.30pm. Saturday afternoon. 12 - 5pm. Over two consecutive weeks.
