Motor Yacht

Paris is a custom motor yacht launched in 1991 by Amels in Makkum, Netherlands and most recently refitted in 1994.

AMELS are masters in the art of modern Dutch high-value yacht building. The yard is the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands and one of the top superyacht builders in the world. In 2005 AMELS launched the successful LIMITED EDITIONS and delivered the first yacht of the series in 2007. The shipyard also specialises in the build of full-custom superyachts, with the in-construction Project Signature due to become the largest superyacht ever built in the Netherlands upon her scheduled launch in 2025.

Paris measures 56.20 metres in length, with a max draft of 3.45 metres and a beam of 10.30 metres. She has a gross tonnage of 790 tonnes. She has a deck material of teak.

Paris has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure.

Her interior design is by Elie Gharzouzi.

Paris also features naval architecture by Amels and Jack Hargrave.

Performance and Capabilities

Paris has a top speed of 16.00 knots and a cruising speed of 14.00 knots. She is powered by a twin screw propulsion system.

Paris has a fuel capacity of 180,000 litres, and a water capacity of 25,000 litres.

A Summary of Motor Yacht PARIS I

The motor yacht PARIS I is a 56 m 184 (foot) sizeable steel vessel which was manufactured at Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) and conceived from the design board of Jack Hargrave. Sleeping 18 guests and 15 qualified crew, motor yacht PARIS I was previously called Katamarino. The naval architecture office which delivered her design for the yacht is Jack Hargrave. Also, the interior design was created by Elie Gharzhouzi/Struik & Hamerslag.

M/Y PARIS I (ex Katamarino) was designed for worldwide cruising in style. She has a solid classic feel to her lines and form, and is clearly identified as the work of the late Jack Hargrave. Her unusual layout features the owner’s suite in the upper deck and there is an unusual VIP guest saloon at the forward end of the main deck. The yacht has an Arabic Origin and a Garzouzi interior. Her original owner was one time the principal agent for the owner of the Montkaj.

Build & Naval Architecture with respect to Luxury Yacht PARIS I

Jack Hargrave was the naval architecture company involved in the formal superyacht plans for PARIS I. Her interior design was realised by Elie Gharzhouzi/Struik & Hamerslag. Jack Hargrave is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. Created at Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) the vessel was fabricated within the Netherlands. She was successfully launched in Makkum in 1991 before being transferred to the owner. The hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is made extensively with aluminium. With a beam of 10.3 metres / 33.8 feet PARIS I has spacious size. She has a deep draught of 3.14m (10.3ft). She had refit maintenance and alteration work carried out in 1994.

The Performance - Engines On M/Y PARIS I:

Powered by twin CATERPILLAR diesel engines, PARIS I is able to attain a high speed of 16 knots. Coupled to the PARIS I engines are twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 13500 miles when motoring at her cruising speed of 14 knots. Her total HP is 3040 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2237. Concerning thrusters she was fitted with Holland Roer. For stabalisers she was built with Naiad.

Giverny is the famous village known worldwide for the  Impressionism, it became successful with Monet property with its incredible garden furnished with water lilies.

Presented by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht PARIS A is a 115 ft motor yacht. PARIS A spends the summer and winter season in Greece. She was constructed by the renowned boatbuilder Majora in 2009. An elegant refit was completed in 2013. The ingenious yacht layout features 5 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 12 guests.

PARIS A is classified as a superyacht. The generously sized aft deck elegantly connects to the the heart of the yacht - the main saloon. The main saloon is a gathering space to spend time when the weather is not ideal and serves as a location of entertainment. 5 elegant cabins are purposefully laid out with vison for maximum room, access, comfort and privacy.

The motor yacht features Engines: 2 x MTU V12 - 4000 (2736 hp each) Generators: 2 x ONAN MDDCF 40 kw, 1 x ONAN MDKBT/U 22 kw engines .

Captain: nikos exarchos.

Captain Nikos Greek / 1960 Captain Nikos holds an A Class Diploma. From 1977 until 1986 he served onboard merchant vessels and then continued his career as a Captain onboard charter yachts. For the last 22 years he has been with the same owner as captain on M/Y NEVER SAY NEVER (Ferretti 80 RPH), M/Y PARIS A (Maiora 31DP) and has followed up the development and construction from A to Z of the latest M/Y PARIS-A (Maiora 35 DP). Nikos is married with two children. He speaks English and a little Italian, has a diving license and his hobbies include fishing, water sports and hunting. His long experience in the Mediterranean, Aegean and Ionian Sea is a valuable asset. Engineer Yiorgos Greek / 1975 Yiorgos graduated from the Greek Mercantile Marine Academy and holds an A Class diploma. He spent 10 years working on bulk cargo, container and tanker ships before moving to the yacht industry in 2007. He holds a speed boat license, certificate in First Aid, Firefighting and Lifesaving. Yiorgos is 47 years old, married and has one child. He has a friendly personality, speaks English and in his free time he enjoys reading Greek and foreign history, hiking and skiing. Chef Dionisis Kosmetatos Greek / 1980 Dionisis graduated in 2005 from Le Monde, Institute of Hotel and Tourism Studies and holds a diploma in culinary Arts. After finishing his apprenticeship he extended his expertise in international and Greek cuisine working in top-tier restaurants and since 2007 has been working in the luxury yacht industry on both commercial and private yachts. Dionisis is a very creative, reliable and organizational chef and holds two awards from Chef competitions at yacht shows (2007 & 2016). He can customize a menu for any occasion or dietary preference, always adding his creativity and personal touch to his dishes. Dionisis is married and is the proud father of two little daughters. He has a friendly and warm personality, speaks English and in his spare time he enjoys swimming and fishing. Stewardess Nicole Greek / 1986 Nicole’s love for the sea and the Greek islands led her to become involved in yachting and she joined our team last year. She is highly skilled in five-star hospitality and service to meet the guests’ expectations, various services styles and smooth operation of the interior department. She speaks English and holds a certificate in First Aid, Firefighting and Lifesaving. Nicole is a proud mom of a daughter and continues to volunteer in childcare and animal welfare programs. She has a nice, warm character and in her rare spare time she takes pleasure in cross fit and reading about psychology. Stewardess Margarita Greek / 1993 Margarita graduated with a Bachelor in Shipping – administration & economy. She decided to join the yachting industry two years ago and her large experience in both the hospitality and service industry in combination with her friendly and bright personality makes her a positive asset to our team. Margarita joined our team this year and has completed all safety training. She speaks English and Albanian and in her free time she enjoys cooking, running and reading. Deckhand Andreas Moldovan / 1986 Andreas graduated in 2008 from the Moldova State University at the Department of International Economics. Like his father, who’s a dedicated seaman for many years, he has a big interest and love for the sea. At the end of 2008 he started as an assistant steward on board private M/Y Carpe Diem. Early 2010 he joined the crew on board M/Y PARIS-A and has been with us since. Andreas holds a speed boat license and speaks fluently Russian, Romanian and Greek. He is very committed to ensure both security and comfort to our guests. Andreas is married and has twin boys. His favorite hobby is football.

Nikos is married with two children. He speaks English and a little Italian, has a diving license and his hobbies include fishing, water sports and hunting. His long experience in the Mediterranean, Aegean and Ionian Sea is a valuable asset.<br /> <br /> <br /> Engineer Yiorgos<br /> Greek / 1975<br /> Yiorgos graduated from the Greek Mercantile Marine Academy and holds an A Class diploma. He spent 10 years working on bulk cargo, container and tanker ships before moving to the yacht industry in 2007. He holds a speed boat license, certificate in First Aid, Firefighting and Lifesaving. Yiorgos is 47 years old, married and has one child. He has a friendly personality, speaks English and in his free time he enjoys reading Greek and foreign history, hiking and skiing.<br /> <br /> Chef Dionisis Kosmetatos <br /> Greek / 1980<br /> Dionisis graduated in 2005 from Le Monde, Institute of Hotel and Tourism Studies and holds a diploma in culinary Arts. After finishing his apprenticeship he extended his expertise in international and Greek cuisine working in top-tier restaurants and since 2007 has been working in the luxury yacht industry on both commercial and private yachts. Dionisis is a very creative, reliable and organizational chef and holds two awards from Chef competitions at yacht shows (2007 & 2016). He can customize a menu for any occasion or dietary preference, always adding his creativity and personal touch to his dishes. Dionisis is married and is the proud father of two little daughters. He has a friendly and warm personality, speaks English and in his spare time he enjoys swimming and fishing.<br /> <br /> Stewardess Nicole<br /> Greek / 1986<br /> Nicole’s love for the sea and the Greek islands led her to become involved in yachting and she joined our team last<br /> year. She is highly skilled in five-star hospitality and service to meet the guests’ expectations, various services styles and smooth operation of the interior department. She speaks English and holds a certificate in First Aid, Firefighting and Lifesaving. Nicole is a proud mom of a daughter and continues to volunteer in childcare and animal welfare programs. She has a nice, warm character and in her rare spare time she takes pleasure in cross fit and reading about psychology.<br /> <br /> Stewardess Margarita<br /> Greek / 1993<br /> Margarita graduated with a Bachelor in Shipping – administration & economy. Margarita joined our team this year and has completed all safety training. She speaks English and Albanian and in her free time she enjoys cooking, running and reading.<br /> <br /> Deckhand Andreas<br /> Moldovan / 1986<br /> Andreas graduated in 2008 from the Moldova State University at the Department of International Economics. Like his father, who’s a dedicated seaman for many years, he has a big interest and love for the sea. At the end of 2008 he started as an assistant steward on board private M/Y Carpe Diem. Early 2010 he joined the crew on board M/Y PARIS-A and has been with us since. Andreas holds a speed boat license and speaks fluently Russian, Romanian and Greek. He is very committed to ensure both security and comfort to our guests. Andreas is married and has twin boys. He spent 10 years working on bulk cargo, container and tanker ships before moving to the yacht industry in 2007. He holds a speed boat license, certificate in First Aid, Firefighting and Lifesaving. Yiorgos is 47 years old, married and has one child. He has a friendly personality, speaks English and in his free time he enjoys reading Greek and foreign history, hiking and skiing.<br /> <br /> Chef Dionisis Kosmetatos <br /> Greek / 1980<br /> Dionisis graduated in 2005 from Le Monde, Institute of Hotel and Tourism Studies and holds a diploma in culinary Arts. After finishing his apprenticeship he extended his expertise in international and Greek cuisine working in top-tier restaurants and since 2007 has been working in the luxury yacht industry on both commercial and private yachts. Dionisis is a very creative, reliable and organizational chef and holds two awards from Chef competitions at yacht shows (2007 & 2016). He can customize a menu for any occasion or dietary preference, always adding his creativity and personal touch to his dishes. Dionisis is married and is the proud father of two little daughters. Like his father, who’s a dedicated seaman for many years, he has a big interest and love for the sea. At the end of 2008 he started as an assistant steward on board private M/Y Carpe Diem. Early 2010 he joined the crew on board M/Y PARIS-A and has been with us since. Andreas holds a speed boat license and speaks fluently Russian, Romanian and Greek. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). Mega charter yacht PARIS A (35m / 115’), is a Maiora built charter boat accommodating up to 10+2 guests in 5 cabins. She is ideal yacht for mega yacht charters and luxury holidays around the East Mediterranean cruising grounds, amongst many of the Greek Islands and Turkey’s Aegean coast. She is a very stunning looking boat and has a good cruising speed of 22kn. Thanks to her twin MTU V12 super yacht engines providing 2736hp each, she can reach maximum speed of up to 27kn. Take a sneak peek at the biggest and most expensive boats at 2024's Palm Beach yacht show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.

Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.

These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam, or Turkish bath — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.
