Exklusive Charterfahrten in Rostock & Warnemünde

Die ARONA ist eine frisch restaurierte, ca. 90 Jahre alte Holzmotoryacht, gefertigt in der bedeutenden Stockholmer Werft von Carl Gustaf Pettersson, dem bekanntesten Boots-Konstrukteur Schwedens.

Zwei Brüder aus der Hansestadt Rostock, Robert und Paul Szuszinski, präsentieren dem Rostocker und Warnemünder Publikum nun die ARONA als ein neues maritimes Highlight der Hansestadt. Beide haben seit frühester Jugend über verschiedene Wassersportarten nicht nur praktische Erfahrungen gesammelt, sondern sich auch fürs Arbeiten mit dem Element Holz begeistert. Daraus ergab sich Anfang 2012 der konkrete Wunsch nach einem gemeinsamen Projekt, dem Aufbau einer klassischen Motoryacht.

Nach mehreren Anläufen fanden Paul und Robert den Mahagoni-Rohdiamanten ARONA jedoch nicht in ihrer Heimat, wo es seit 800 Jahren von Booten wimmelt, sondern hundert Kilometer nördlich von Göteborg im schwedischen Borensberg. Dort nahmen sie im Herbst 2012 die alte Dame in einer Scheune zum ersten Mal in Augenschein.

Sie fanden heraus, dass das gute Stück aus den 1920ern stammt, knapp 8 Meter lang ist und bei einem Tiefgang von 70 cm etwa 1m 80 breit. Den vierzylindrigen Albin O41 Motor (19 PS) hatte man offenbar 1954 nachgerüstet. Somit war klar: Die Dame hatte sich wacker gehalten und man konnte gespannt sein, ob sie noch seetauglich sein würde.

Besonders bestechende Merkmale der ARONA sind die für C.G. Pettersson-Boote typischen und klassisch lang geschwungenen Linien des Mahagoni-Decks und die Aufbauten. Schlicht und funktional gehalten dagegen ist das Cockpit, was bei Ausflügen bis zu acht Personen Platz bietet. Der in Klinkerbauweise gefertigte Rumpf besteht ebenfalls aus Mahagoni, im Unterwasserbereich gibt zudem Lärchenholz dem Ganzen Stabilität. Kiel und Spanten sind aus Eiche gefertigt.

Schnell wurde den Brüdern klar, dass es sich hierbei um eine echte Rarität handelt. Sie entschlossen sich, die grandiose Yacht nicht länger in der Scheune dem Staub zu überlassen, die Restaurierung zu wagen und sie in ihrer mecklenburgischen Heimat nach vielen Jahren wieder startklar zu machen.

Die Verhandlungen und Logistikplanungen in Schweden zogen sich jedoch hin. Kurz vor Vertragsunterzeichnung tauchten Nachfahren der ersten Eignerfamilie auf und hätten das Projekt beinahe noch scheitern lassen. Die Brüder konnten aber auf ihre Ideen verweisen und ihren geplanten guten Umgang mit dem Boot im traditionsreichen Stadthafen Rostock. Die Eigner stimmten zu, dass dies eine tolle, passende Umgebung für die ARONA sei. So wurde die Yacht Ende 2012 auf dem Landweg nach Norddeutschland verbracht.

Bis zum Frühjahr 2013 wurde das Schiff mit Hilfe zahlreicher Freunde endlich wieder instand gesetzt. Hierbei behielten die Restaurateure immer ihren Blick auf dem Erhalt des traditionellen, originalen Handwerks sowie der einladenden, feinen Eleganz des Bootes.

Aufgrund des starken Zuspruchs in dieser Zeit entstand auch die Idee, aus ARONA mehr zu machen als nur ein privates Hobby. Den Brüdern gefiel der Gedanke, auch ein größeres Publikum an dem edlen Wassergefährt teilhaben zu lassen. Warum sollte man es nicht versuchen und die ARONA als neues Ausflugs-Highlight auf dem Wasser präsentieren?

Die Idee wurde erfolgreich umgesetzt. Seit dem geglücktem „Stapellauf“ im Mai 2013 bietet ARONA Yachting seinen Gästen individuell gestaltete Ausfahrten mit nostalgischem Flair. Somit ist es geglückt, aus einem individuellem Hobby und der Begeisterung für den Bootsbau ein gewerbliches Kleinod und gleichzeitig ein attraktives Angebot für interessierte Einheimische, Wasserliebhaber und Besucher der Region zu schaffen.

Timmerman Yachts

Timmerman Yachts is a Russian builder of quality luxury motor yachts. Based in Moscow, it is owned by a group of Dutch and Russian investors and operates out of Moscow Shipyard. Several noted naval architecture and yacht design firms are involved with Timmerman, including Vripack, Guido de Groot Design, Ginton Naval Architects, Jon Bannenberg Ltd., and Francis Design Ltd.

Founded in 2003, the company was named for 17th century Dutch boat builder Franz Timmerman who brought Dutch boat manufacturing techniques to Russia and co-founded the Russian navy. Timmerman Yachts has more than 1,000 employees working at the Moscow Shipyard.

Timmerman has delivered a number of semi-custom luxury yachts between 26-47 metres in length, including TM26 and Timmerman FD-51, designed by Francis Design Ltd. Other notable Timmerman yachts include Victoria M, Alexandra (now Latitude) and Olsten 125'.
