Her interior is styled by Italian designer design house M2 Atelier and she was delivered to her owner in July 2022. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of German Frers.

Description

Alea was conceived to sail around the world in comfort and ease at high average speeds. Open spaces and privacy were paramount together with a fresh design approach using proven technology.

A reverse bow gives the yacht a distinctive dynamic look. The resulting long waterline length allows to create a powerful slippery hullform which sails at low heel angles with a panamax rig averaging speeds above 15 knots.

We wanted to maintain 360 degrees views in all common living areas including the helm stations and aft cockpit hence the deck structure is recessed enhancing the yacht sleek looks. The metallic colour fits with her clean lines and brings out the shape essence. Every detail was designed and engineered to create a homogenous feeling of simplicity.

A huge beach club completes the deck layout at anchor. When under sail this volume contains an 8m long tender to explore the surroundings and support sport activities.

The General Arrangement show the interior and exterior salon in one level in the centre of the yacht. The natural light, protection and views makes this area a ‘feel good’ space at any time of day or night. Further forward a movie area and interior dining area a few steps below lead to the large owner’s area comprising the whole bow forward of the mast. This area includes office space and a spare cabin for long passages. Behind the salon, separate stairs provide access to the guest area on starboard and crew area on port.

Her quick acceleration under sail combined with ease of movement along the various zones together with the quiet operation and long-range capability transmits a desire for endless sailing!

Alea wins two Neptunes at the World Superyacht Awards 2023

The by Vitters shipyard built sailing yacht Alea has been rewarded with two Neptunes during the World Superyacht Award ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey on 20 May.

One Neptune was for winning the category ‘best sailing yacht above 40m and the second one for ‘best sailing Yacht of the year’. Mani Frers was responsible for the naval architecture and exterior styling and the modern interior was penned by M2 Atelier. The judges were impressed with Alea’s attractive profile, uncluttered decks and sizeable beach club. Alea’s Exterior features a flush fore deck and a deckhouse that gives a fantastic 360 degrees panoramic view. The covered main cockpit with up/down side windows create comfort and shelter in all weather conditions. The wide and spacious aft deck offers plenty of space to enjoy the sailing and offers a comfortable lounging area.

In the back corner there is a stair located to the open transom hatch which offers an extended beach club. The modern hull, designed by Mani Frers, with the for Alea characteristic inverted bow and the widest beam at the back end of the yacht, offers plenty of space. The large owners en-suite stateroom including an office is in the bow. Three of the in total four guest cabins are positioned in the stern of the yacht on starboard. Due to her wide beam the entire crew area including cabins, laundry and professional equipped galley is fitted on the aft port side of the yacht. Alea carries two tenders, one crew tender stored under the tender hatch at the bow and one 7m custom made guest tender in the lazarette. The interior by the hand of M2Atelier, in close cooperation with the Owners, is in a contemporary modern style with great attention to detail. It has been an amazing achievement to finish the meticulously designed interior to the level of quality presented in this stylish and well-balanced yacht.

Alea embodies modern, performance characteristics while offering the enjoyment of comfortable living on-board. No compromise has been made on performance, safety and comfort. Therefore this yacht carries a complete set of Vitters techniques of which the efficiency and compactness is extraordinary for a yacht this size. Two main engines and two generators are installed for the propulsion and the main energy supply on board. Alea ticks quite a number of boxes on the Vitters’ innovations list. To mention a few; the retractable V-Bollards completed the uncluttered deck aesthetics, down below in the forepeak three V-Drums make headsail changes easy and, last but not least, the submarine Anchor system keeps the bow and foredeck aesthetically clean as well as proving practical.

The lightweight aluminium hull was engineered to the smallest detail and the extensive use of finite element analysis enabled the yard to develop and build a stiff and light aluminium construction, all in line with the naval architect’s concept.

ALEA is a 27.71 m Sail Yacht, built in Finland by Nautor Swan and delivered in 2007. She is one of 12 90 models.

Her top speed is 12.0 kn and her cruising speed is 10.0 kn and her power comes from a Perkins diesel engine. She can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 staterooms, with 4 crew members waiting on their every need. She has a gross tonnage of 128.0 GT and a 6.46 m beam.

She was designed by German Frers , who also completed the naval architecture. German Frers has designed 152 yachts and created the naval architecture for 164 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

Her interior was designed by Nautor Swan , who has 64 other superyacht interiors designed in the BOAT Pro database - she is built with a Teak deck, a GRP hull, and GRP superstructure.

ALEA is one of 988 sailing yachts in the 24-30m size range, and, compared to similarly sized sailing yachts, her cruising speed is 0.64 kn above the average, and her top speed 1.0 kn above the average.

ALEA is currently sailing under the United Kingdom flag, the 4th most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 899 yachts registered. Vitters 56m Sailing Yacht ‘ALEA’ Emerges After Two-Year Build

Following a two-year build, the 56m Vitters sailing yacht, Alea (formerly Project 3083), has emerged from the Dutch shipyard.

Mani Frers developed the sloop-rigged sailing yacht, which is made of aluminium and has an inverted bow and flush deck. With a lifting keel, the draught drops from 6.6 metres to under 3.5 metres for exploring shallow ports and harbours. At the helm, two carbon rudders allow for fingertip steering.

With gear supplied by Southern Spars New Zealand, a single carbon mast will stand 55.32 metres tall once completed. A 682 square metre mainsail and a 484 square metre blade headsail will be among her sails.

The yacht, which features a modern design by M2 Atelier, includes all expected luxuries internally. These include an owner’s suite located in the bow and four spacious guest cabins aft.

Other notable features include retractable V-Bollards on deck and three V-Drums below deck. Additionally, there is a subsurface Anchor system that keeps the bow and foredeck free of anchor operations.

The 56m Alea yacht has the capacity for a beach club and can carry two tenders, one beneath a hatch on the foredeck and one 8.5 metre tender in the lazarette. The yacht will be launched this week on Friday and will be delivered to her owner in time for the summer.

Accommodation: High performance motor yacht Alea, a Canados 90, has accommodation for up to 8 adults in 4 cabins. The Owner's and guest areas are located on the lower deck, from amidships towards the forward end.  They are accessed via stairs located in the wheelhouse. This accommodation area features a full beamed owner's suite with centrally located double bed, a walk in wardrobe, a small sofa, desk and en-suite facilities. There is also a forward VIP suite with wardrobe and en-suite facilities.  Two twin cabins with single beds, a closet and en-suite facilities are located portside and starboard side. Luxury crewed charter yacht ALEA is fully air conditioned throughout. This is a non-smoking vessel. ALEA´s experienced super yacht charter crew of up to 3 has a separate head and shower. Guests may not be allowed to bring pets on-board.

High Performance motor yacht ALEA  (27.5m/90’) was built in 2009 by Italian shipyard Canados. She accommodates up to 8 charter guests in 1 Owner Suite,  1 VIP, 1  double and 1 twin cabin and three crew members including the captain.  This charter yacht mainly cruises at speeds of up to around 35-43kn and is offered for luxury yacht charter hire within the Greek Islands and the rest of the East Mediterranean cruising grounds, including Ionian Sea, Cyclades and Aegean sea.  Thanks to hear twin MTU super yacht engines which provide her with 2.400hp each, as well as the unavoidable Arneson surface drives, she can reach exhilarating maximum speeds of around 48kn. She is a unique high performance charter yacht and her best features are sleek design, extreme cruising and maximum speed as well as a very shallow draught of 1.19m.

Architects and Fashion Designers Are Penning Yachts, and It’s Changing How They’re Made

Named after the Japanese term for being at one with nature, Kenshō features a reflective turquoise hull and elegant exterior lines by Azure Yacht Design and Archineers Berlin.
