This was the first visit here. The food was great & service very good . I had the steak & it was cooked to perfection.

Went with the family, which includes two young kids to the restaurant. The ambience and setting are fantastic looking over the marina and bay. The tables well spaced and not on top of each other. Had the fish and chips and partner the grilled salmon. Both dishes were nice and good size portions. Kids enjoyed the outdoor deck. Will go back again as it's a good local for regular eating

The SYC is always OK- it varies though day to day- The service lacks coordination with obviously no one running/managing service in the dining area. The young person attending to our table had no name badge - all the other staff did - attentive enough but got we lost in the "busyness" Ellie was fantastic picking up the pieces as was Stephanie- both of these workers always on the look out for a service opportunity(why hasn't anyone poached them from SYC ?? ) Some staff continue to fold napkins with the dining room full and other team members running around?? most disturbing - Food came out fast- apart from the Japanese Flathead rolls which were not good and should be removed from the menu- the steak, paella and fish was very well done- not outstanding but good- The croquettes are lonely on that big white plate and need a lift/garnish - Not one pasta options is very strange and the menu is quite stagnant- worth going to SYC none the less

Nice and relaxing setting with some nice views of the mariner. Great spot to start out on a little sailing adventure- just out of the mariner are some good view of Melbourne City and the West Gate Bridge. Club members friendly and always lots of boats to check out.

We decided to try lunch at the Sandringham Yacht Club. We were given a choice of seating inside or outside on the deck overlooking the boats. It was a lovely sunny day, so naturally we chose to sit outside. Magnificent views of the water !!! +++ Generous table seating for 4 ppl, so as a couple we had plenty of room. The tables were well spaced so that was another big plus!! We ordered an eye fillet steak ( MR ) & fish n chips. My partner said his fish n chips ( well presented ) were nice, but not outstanding. My eye fillet was not very tender, so l was disappointed. However the kale, mushroom & potato & jus accompaniments were excellent !! Also my steak was beautifully presented. Must compliment the staff for their smiles, pleasant manner ,service & efficiency in continually re-filling our water glasses & ice for my cider. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.... Yes, we will return & we will try the "sailor's lunch" which we were informed is available Monday-Friday.

“Lunch by the Seaside” Review of Sandringham Yacht Club

The Sandringham Yacht Club restaurant is in a great location with views across the marina to the bay. We took a friend who had mobility issues which were very well accommodated. We could drop him off at the front entrance with a ramp to the front door and a lift up to the first floor restaurant. There was a good selection of food with an emphasis on seafood complimented by a good reasonably priced wine list. The service was friendly and efficient. The room is not overcrowded with tables and the floor to ceiling windows take full advantage of the view.

Always great value and excellent friendly servive. Couldn't wait to have lunch there after being overseas for several months. The menu is extensive and the fish and chips amazing.

Me & 2 others was invited through a church friends husband to enjoy a sailing boat race that is hosted every thursday around 6pm :). At least 2 of us have never been on a sailing boat so we were more than obliged to take up the offer :). This was the first Yacht or boat club i had ever been to!! As a side note I'm a big car fan and when i first stepped into the yacht club grounds and walked past all the boats docked onto the pier, what i noticed first hand was that the boat owners life is much like the car scene life!! It was a thursday afternoon and there were people having drinks & bbqs on their boats or just having a group gathering with lots of banter, also as we were walking past their were lots of waves and shouts of hello how are ya when we were on our way to the sailing boat we were going to be on :)... i could definitely see myself getting used to a boat club lifestyle like this one :D!! We arrived to the vessel we were going to be on, took about 20 minutes to prepare the boat while waiting on 1 more crew member. It was me and 2 friend's, then 4 well experienced sailers, the husband of the lady we knew was world champion in a sailing tournament in 2005 so was very privileged to be in the presence of someone who was well known in the sailing community :)!! The race went on for an hour and it was a half decent windy day so was plenty of choppy waves and also with a bit of calm in between, in saying that was a really intense at times scuffle from side to side of the boat while taking turns and adjusting the sails from one side to the other :), but the calm times just sitting on the edge of the boat couldn't of been more perfect :)!! After the race, the sailing boat was parked back up & everything was packed neatly away, we headed over to the club itself on the 2nd floor where they had the bar and bistro with indoor or outdoor seating on the verandah with a fantastic view of the mariner, city and out to the sea:)!! Food was very tasty & a bit over priced but not for most club standards :)! All in all this was my first Yacht Club experience and hopefully not my last. In my honest opinion if you ever get the chance to visit or spend some time on the water at this or any other boating club go for it :)!!

Went to the Yacht Club to view the Rotary Art Show, which is held there annually. it was very good certainly worth a visit. Most of the artwork is for sale, and while we arrived 60 minutes after it opened, many of the best works were sold. Having said that, worth a visit to see the works, have a coffee, and speak to the enthusiatic volunteers manning the show.

Good atmosphere and view over the boat harbour. Tables well spaced so not noisy and easy for conversation. Good value set price for lunch besides well priced and varied menu. Friendly service but a little slow. Be sure to book when NOT a race day unless you are prepared to pay council parking fees and enjoy a short walk.

“Lovely lunch” Review of Sandringham Yacht Club

This was our first time here. We thought the food and the service were both very good. We had the pan-fried swordfish and the mussels. Lovely view of the yachts and the bay.

Sandy Yacht Club is a beautiful venue with breath taking views. The Restaurant is positioned with great views of the marina and the bay. The food and the service are amazing and 5 star standard. A must visit if you're in Melbourne and looking for that special place to have dinner.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with family celebrating a special birthday. Best food and the chef was very accommodating for all dietary requirements. There is an amazing view of the sea and the city and it doesn't matter what the weather is like, it is still great just to look out.

Amazing everything. These people know how to do it right and that’s why it is a favourite. Food was impeccable and that was matched with service standards that defy the odds. Very happy and will be back.

Had a really delightful lunch at SYC today. Nice service and a wonderful dining room looking out over the yachts to the bay on a beautiful summers day. Most enjoyable with fair pricing and quality, fresh food.
