As well as the affordability side of things catamarans have all the main amenities for the majority of occasions and events people have in mind when wanting a Sydney Harbour cruise experience. Catamarans are super stable, and feature on board toilets, seating and table areas, a galley for food prep and fridge, freezer and Esky. They will often have great sound systems on board and provide shelter in the main saloon is weather is bad and ample deck space for sun bathing if weather is good. Many catamarans are also sailing catamarans so you can add a little more excitement to your harbour cruise by getting the sails up turning the engines off and experiencing some fun sailing time.

What groups sizes do catamarans accommodate best?

The short answer is all! We have plenty of small catamarans to hire that typically fit up to 20 guests, perfect for birthdays, hens, bucks and other parties, or just for get-togethers. From there we have slightly larger catamarans that can accommodate up to 30 guests, at this capacity you will normally get the most affordable rates and they are just a bit more spacious. From there sizing just continues all the way up to our largest size catamaran that can fit up to 480 guests called My Way .

Are catamarans luxurious?

Yes very much so! Even those catamarans are really great for those looking for a cheap boat hire option there are also some great luxury catamarans to hire such as Sydney Seabird , Allure and Passion .

How to hire a Tiger catamaran?

• Select your date from the calendar for Tigeress (1-30 Pax) , Tiger 3 (1-43 guests) or Tiger 4 (1-43 guests) .
• Then, choose your charter time. Start times are 11.00am, 11.30am, 12.00pm or 12.30pm on a Saturday. 1.00pm is available upon request
• If the charter time and date is available, you will then be asked a few simple questions regarding guests and pick up location.
• Once you are happy to proceed, click on BOOK NOW and you’ll pay a 25 % deposit  to reserve your time slot. The remainder is due no later than 7 days  prior to your cruise.

• The standard cruise is  4 HOURS . We can extend or shorten the charter, although we need to double check availability. Simple call us and discuss the options. BOAT HIRE SYDNEY - EXPERIENCES

Skipper George was so laid back, asking us where we wanted to head to for the day which made our experience feel totally personalised. He even went to the effort to drop anchor in a shallower bay so that those of us not sure about the deep harbour waters, were able to get in for a swim. Andrew, our host, made sure we always had a full drink in our hands (which was an unexpected bonus) and cooked a fab BBQ spread for us all. Both crewmembers were friendly and good company for the day.

Thank you to the team at Eastcoast Sailing for a totally memorable Christmas Party. From booking to boarding, the whole experience was simple and hassle free, allowing us to enjoy the spectacular day.

We had a lovely time last Friday up in Pittwater for my Mum’s 70th Birthday.

Jim, the skipper, was great with the kids and his calm manner somehow effortlessly managed to put my oldest, who had been quite anxious of sailing at ease. He also encouraged each of the children to take a turn at the helm, which they all loved, and we spotted dolphins right by the boat, which was very special.

Pittwater is a great location for sailing and we would go back in an instant if we could!

We loved our east coast sailing experience. Your customer service before the boat was impeccable, all of our needs and questions were taken care of with an amazing promptness. On the boat Lisa the captain was a delight to be with she was interesting informative and fun. We loved our sailing experience the storm was beautiful to watch and the sunset was stunning. There is nothing I like better than being on a boat in Sydney harbour. I would recommend east coast sailing at the drop of a hat.

Where can we go during our catamaran charter.

Your skipper can take you most places within Sydney Harbour, providing it is within the surveyed boundaries. Should your guests wish to go to a specific location within Sydney Harbour please let us know at time of briefing.

Is the catamaran boat suitable for children?

Yes, Pegasus has safety rails all the way around the boat and children’s lifejackets are available. Children must be under adult supervision at all times.

Can we extend our time during the catamaran charter?

Yes, although this is subject to availability. Please note, the charter will be extended based on the decision of the captain on board and payment will be processed post charter by authorised bond.

Are we allowed to bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, we suggest that you bring boat friendly food that requires minimum preparation e.g. platter-style cold foods or food that can be cooked on our BBQ.

What do you advise we bring with us?

As conditions can vary on the water, it is suggested that you bring along a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimmers, and seasonal jumper or jacket. Please wear white-soled shoes or non-marking boating shoes. Strictly no black soled shoes or stiletto-heeled shoes, as this will damage the decking.

Is there sun, wind and rain protection on the boat?

The cockpit area has roll down clears to provide ample shade from the sun and closure from wind and rain.

1. Definitions

In this agreement, the following terms have the following corresponding meaning: CBAA means the Charter Boat Agents’ Association. CBAA Agent means the agent through which the Charter was booked. Charter means the cruise for which the Charterer is paying and the Operator is providing.

Charterer  means the client who is paying for the Charter. Charterer’s Group  means all the passengers who will take part in the Charter. Master  means the duly qualified person in charge of the Vessel. Operator  means the owner or operator of the Vessel as specified in the Schedule Vessel  means the Operator’s vessel or vessels specified in the Schedule.

2.Quotations

Quotes are valid for 14 days only, after which they may be subject to price changes.

3. Right of refusal

The CBAA Agent reserves the right to refuse bookings which contravene these Terms and Conditions. The Charterer must provide all necessary details to the Agent about the charter and the charterer’s group.

4. Tentative Bookings

Tentative reservations will be held in good faith for up to 1 week pending payment of a deposit, or until another party wants to book the same vessel, whichever is sooner. The booking is not secured until a deposit has been received.

5. Confirmation of Booking

A Charter will be confirmed on receipt of the deposit specified in the quotation and signed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. All bookings made within 14 days of Charter date require payment in full at the time of booking.

The deposit payable will be 50% of the total estimated Charter fee unless otherwise specified in the quotation.

7. Final Payment

Final guest numbers and final payment is required 14 days prior to the Charter unless otherwise agreed. The final guest numbers specified by the Charterer at least 14 days prior to the Charter will be deemed the minimum number of guests for catering charges. After this time the guest numbers may increase if agreed by the Agent’Operator, however they cannot decrease.

Any additional passengers on the day are charged accordingly.

8. Methods of payment

EFT, cash or credit card. Credit card surcharges may apply.

9. Cancellations

More than 60 days prior: Deposit will be refunded less a $500 management fee if another booking is secured for the same date and time for the same value. If another booking is not secured, the deposit is not refundable.

Between 60-­‐28 days prior: Deposit is non refundable

Cancellations made 28 – 14 days prior: Total monies paid are not refundable.

Consideration will be given to food, staff and boat costs incurred due to cancellation.

Cancellations made less than 14 days prior: Full payment is non refundable

10. Additional charges

Any additional charges on the day of service are to be immediately charged to the credit card provided by the client. This includes but is not limited to extensions of Charter, additional guests, additional services, pay-­ ‐ on-­‐consumption beverages, waiting time for embarking and disembarking at wharves, water taxis and any other additional charges notified by the Operator.

11. Responsible service of alcohol

The Operator is bound by the NSW Liquor Act and must abide by the guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. The Operator must refuse service of alcohol to both intoxicated persons and guests under the age of 18. The Operator may refuse service of alcohol to any individual in the Operator’s absolute discretion at any time. Intoxicated guests will not be permitted to board. The Vessel has the right not to serve shots or doubles under any circumstances. Whenever alcohol is served on a Vessel, substantial food must also be provided to satisfy the RSA obligations. Light snacks such as chips and nuts are not considered to be substantial food. The Operator has the right to refuse passengers boarding if sufficient food is not provided. Guests are not permitted to carry liquor from the Vessel on disembarkation.

Indecent behaviour on a licensed vessel is prohibited under the NSW Liquor Act and your charter will be terminated in the event of unacceptable behaviour as determined by the crew, and if such circumstances occur there will be no refunds.

The Charterer is required to pay a security bond as specified in the quotation. The security bond may be applied by the Operator to cover additional costs including but not limited to damage to the vessel, its equipment and fittings, additional services, excessive cleaning charges and any other costs attributable to the Charterer’s Group. The security bond or the balance thereof will be refunded 7 days after the Charter.

13. Substitute Vessel

In the event of a mechanical problem to the booked vessel, the Agent reserves the right to provide another vessel of similar style and capacity in order for the Charter to be completed.

14. Weather Conditions

All Charters will proceed regardless of weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the by the Master on the day.

15. Charter Course

The course to be undertaken during the Charter may be agreed in advance with the Operator or with the Master on the occasion of the Charter.

The Charterer acknowledges that the Master has the sole discretion at all times to take whatever action is necessary to protect and maintain the safety, welfare and good order of the vessel, its passengers and crew with regard to the weather conditions and other activity on the Harbour.

16. Embarkation and Disembarkation

The Vessel will dock at the times stated on the booking confirmation. All guests have 15 minutes to board and 15 minutes to disembark from the times stated in the booking confirmation. Excessive boarding and disembarkation will be charged at a pro-­‐rata hourly rate as specified by the Operator.

17. Responsibility of the Charterer:

The Charterer is at all times responsible for the conduct of the Charterer’s group.

18. Damage to the Vessel

The Charterer shall indemnify the Operator in respect of any loss or damage to the Vessel or its equipment or fittings howsoever caused by the Charterer’s Group. Fair wear and tear excepted.

19. Limit of Liability

It is a condition of the Charter that the liability of the Operator, its servants, agents, employees and subcontractors is agreed to be limited in accordance with the Limitation of Liabilities and Maritime Claims Act 1989 (Cth ) and that any claim for loss or damage must be notified in writing within 7 days from the day of the Charter and any court action, suit or proceeding must be brought within 1 year of that date.

20. Indemnity

The Charterer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator, the Agent, their agents and employees, from and against any and all losses, claims, actions, costs, expenses, fees, damages, fines and liabilities (including reasonable legal fees) caused by any negligent act or omission by the Charterer or members of the Charterer’s Group including:

Failure to follow any reasonable direction given by the master or crew; Failure to comply with any of these terms or conditions; Failure to comply with any warning sign; Unreasonable or unsafe behaviour; Wilful misuse of the equipment or facilities of the vessel; Intoxication or the use of prohibited drugs.

21. Risk warning

There are inherent risks and dangers on board any vessel. All passengers participate in the Charter entirely at their own risk.

22. Swimming

Swimming is only permitted during daylight hours when the vessel is stationary and in the absolute discretion of the crew.

23. Jurisdiction

The laws of New South Wales govern this agreement and the parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of New South Wales in respect of any disputes arising between them.

24. Acceptance

By accepting the quotation and paying a deposit, the Charterer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Charterer acknowledges that he or she has read and understood these Terms and Conditions and has or will convey these conditions to all of the Charterer’s Group.

To secure a vessel for your boat charter, we take a 50% deposit of the total amount or cost of the Sydney boat hire, unless specified otherwise. The rest of the boat hire payment will be due 14 days prior to the boat charter along with final numbers and food and beverage requirements.

Payment to Sydney Harbour Escapes Pty Ltd can be made by EFT, Visa, MasterCard, or in cash for boat hire in Sydney.

For boat hire, the captain and fuel are included in the vessel hire price. Sometimes there are additional extras that are included for individual boat charters and these will be itemised on the boat detail page inthe prices section.

We are able to designate an area on most boats for dancing. The size and location of this area will be dependent on the vessel selected for luxury boat hire and your final numbers of passengers. We encourage you all to have fun, so we're all for setting up a dance floor! Book with Sydney Harbour Escapes for the largest range of vessels that provide the perfect party setting.

Absolutely! On board all of our boat charter vessels is an AUX cord which is compatible with any music compatible device e.g. iPhone, iPod.

We welcome the opportunity to show you around your preferred boat, prior to booking the boat hire experience. Most of our vessels are easily accessable for inspections - subject to availability. Some of the smaller boat rental vessels kept on swing moorings may not be viewed as easily. Please ask our friendly team for more information on boat inspections.

Yes, all boat hire vessels will have eskies or fridges on board to keep drinks chilled for boat parties of all shapes and sizes. For BYO boat charters, ice is usually arranged at an additional cost. Please ask as the requirements may differ per boat.

We allow for 15 minutes for all guests to get on and off the vessel at the wharves.

Yes, we have a first kit on board all vessels in case of an emergency. If there are any emergencies on the day, the captain and crew on board are certified and can conduct first aid processes.
