Highlighting everything about the power-boating world from: feature destinations to cruising suggestions to vacation ideas; to new and used boat reviews; to DIY tips and projects. PowerBoat TV covers it all whether it be about how different motors push an 11-foot RIB or how to winterize your engine or showing you an unseen part of North America. The primary focus of every episode, and the longest segments, are the feature destinations. These have included: cruises on sport yachts through the Welland Canal or in the Thousand Islands; riding Sea-Doos down the Colorado river or WaveRunners across Lake Nipissing; houseboating the middle of the Canadian prairies in Saskatchewan or in the rugged solitude of Lake of the Woods; and a behind-the-scenes look at Mercury's historical testing ground in central Florida, the private and legendary Lake X! While not a stuck to a rigid formula, most episodes follow a breakdown of: Feature (part 1), new boat review, used boat review and/or DIY project, and Feature (part 2). Though some episodes veer from this to have additional feature segments. There have been a variety of hosts in the three decades the shows has aired. Started by Ted Rankine in 1990, hosts have included Matt Spencer, Mike Gridley, Steven J. Bull, Jon Blaicher and Drew McMillin. Each have brought their own experiences and skillset, but the one thing they have in common is a love for all things boating. The primary shooting format, though additional cameras are sometimes used, is single-camera with a reality/travel style.

Elon Musk Fired 'The View' Cast After Acquiring ABC?

An online article claimed musk "took this daring step due to his dissatisfaction with the show’s repetitive arguments and lack of innovation.", jordan liles, published april 25, 2024.

On April 22, 2024, a Facebook page named Love Style posted , "Elon Musk Fires Entire Cast of 'The View' After Acquiring ABC." The first comment on the post led to an article on viral-stories.online with the headline, "Elon Musk Shakes Up Television with Daring Acquisition and Dismissal."

The article read:

In a surprising turn of events, Elon Musk, the influential CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has made a bold move that has grabbed the attention of the entertainment world. He has acquired ABC and wasted no time in dismissing the entire cast of the long-running talk show, "The View." This unprecedented decision has sent shockwaves throughout the industry, leaving fans and critics in awe. According to sources close to Musk, he took this daring step due to his dissatisfaction with the show's repetitive arguments and lack of innovation. In a statement, Musk expressed his frustration, saying, "I've been watching 'The View' for years, and it feels like the same tired discussions over and over again. I've had enough of it, and I believe it's time for a fresh approach to daytime talk shows." The firing of well-known personalities like Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Meghan McCain has sparked mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. While some were taken aback by the sudden departure of beloved hosts, others have applauded Musk for daring to disrupt the conventional talk show format.

However, this was not a true story. Musk did not acquire ABC, nor was the cast of "The View" dismissed from the show. The article was likely written by an unknown artificial-intelligence (AI) tool, according to scans of the full text by AI-detection tools ZeroGPT.com , GPTZero.me and CopyLeaks.com .

Posts on other Facebook pages  promoted the same article published by   other websites . It was possibly a coordinated effort to spread the fictional story.

The Love Style Facebook page featured one of the most engaged-with posts but was not the first profile to share the story. Many websites that published the article hosted malicious content apparently meant to scam users. This malicious content included full-screen takeovers with potentially dangerous pop-up ads.

We  searched  Facebook for users who have publicly shared the article about Musk and "The View." Based on their comments and captions, some of them seemingly believed the story.

"I really like this guy. 'The View' should have been gone a long time ago. Thank you, Elon!!," one person remarked. "About time. Someone had to raise the intellectual standards of the American viewer," another user wrote. "ONLY WATCHED IT A FEW TIMES AND THEY TICKED ME OFF," someone else wrote.

On top of the public posts viewable by Snopes, there were likely users with more restricted privacy settings that have shared the false story, as well.

There appears to be no shortage of false rumors about Musk ,  Goldberg , Behar and "The View," as we've reported  on numerous rumors about them in the past. Such claims often stem from websites that describe their output as satire, and, sometimes, they circulate with that disclaimer. However, in the above-mentioned case, the websites posting the article did not have satire or parody labels.

We previously debunked  a similar rumor that Musk offered $17 and a coupon for a free appetizer at Applebee's to buy the "The View."

Nick Viall said “the math ain’t mathing” when it comes to certain “Vanderpump Rules” stars claiming financial trouble.

In a clip from the Tuesday episode of his “Viall Files” podcast shared on Instagram , “The Bachelor” alum, 43, said he’s “floored” by how many times he’s heard of a “Vanderpump Rules” cast member claiming to have hit financial hardships.

“How can you be on TV for the better part of a decade, amass a large social media following that if you do anything with is a good pay day,” he said.

He added, “I am floored by how all of the times where these ‘Vanderpump’ characters specifically talk about how much money they don’t have.”

“There’s a lot of people not saving, unfortunately, I think that’s the new norm these days,” he reflected. “And I think the ‘Vanderpump’ cast is a good example of how you can make a lot of money and still be poor if you have no spending control.”

He captioned the Instagram post, “the math ain’t mathing.”

In March, Ariana Madix revealed she was on her last $2,000 before Scandoval took place, allowing her to cash out on brand deals with Lays, Duracell, SoFi and many others, totaling an estimated profit of $2 million.

“The internet thinks I’ve made millions of dollars. That is not true, and it’s like, on March 1st [2023], was I financially prepared to move? No,” Madix, 38, said in a Season 11 episode as she recalled how difficult it was trying to move out of her and Sandoval’s shared home last year.

She also noted how she invested a good chunk of her money into her and co-star Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop, Something About Her.

“He created this situation, and now, I’m f–king scrambling, trying to get my f–king s–t together to be able to, in a financially responsible way, move on to the next step,” Madix told her co-stars.

Madix has since moved on from her previous relationship and home.

The “Single AF Cocktails” author recently purchased a $1.6 million three-bedroom, two-bathroom house in Los Angeles in March.
