CROATIA SAIL - Split to Split (The Dalmatian Voyager) Tour

CROATIA SAIL - Split to Split (The Dalmatian Voyager)

This was a great tour and a great tour company! I really enjoyed the sailing aspect of traveling, this ship was not small so you did not always feel the waves. I liked that you did not have to wake up and pack a suitcase to end up in a new city. The rooms were a decent size, only complaint was I was in a lower cabin and the bathroom smelt of vinegar and the shower did not drain properly but they are minor issues and did not ruin my trip. I loved that the tour had days of optional party aspects with chill days. All of the optional add on activities were well worth it and very fun. Lucas was a great tour manager and always made sure you were having a good time. All the crew on the boat were very friendly.

Best sailing trip ever! Good captain/guide, great sailing for experienced and beginners, great town/ports stopovers and overnights with incredible sights and food. I loved the night at anchor where we cooked food and had a few drinks under the stars!

Pearls of Adriatic cruise Tour

Pearls of Adriatic cruise

Attentive crew. Unbelievable sights. Cruising for 2-4 days. Plenty of time for sunbathing and swimming from the boat (deep water). Food abundant, but lacked fresh veggies and very carb heavy. Special dietary requirements can be a challenge. It was difficult being vegetarian, and I agreed to eat fish. BYO toiletries and beach towel. Bring cash to pay for port tax, drinks on board and tip expected minimum 70 euro per cabin. Met great people and had a fantastic time.

Croatian islands cruise + Land tour with Plitvice - from Zagreb

Well we had booked our tour 8 months before , and we had regular contact with Nature trips with queries, sometimes a reply would come within 24 hours sometimes having to wait a few days but all seemed ok . Arrangements were confirmed again before we left . On arrival, in Zagreb our first trouble started , there was,no body there to pick us up at the AirPort. We rang the number given and they said they had no booking for us but would arrange a car asap which was good of them . The hotel on my itinerary was The Palace but upon arriving there , they had no booking for us . The staff at The Palace were amazing in trying to help us , as we showed them our itinerary and on it ,it said we were to go to Hotel Dubrovnik after staying with them for two nights , they contacted them and we were told they had bookings for us for the next 2 nights but nothing for tonight .....after much discussion it was decieded we go to Hotel Dubrovnik and they would try and help us get it all sorted. We had prepaid for the extra nights accommodation before our trip . Hotel Dubrovnik wanted copies of my emails to Nature trips to,show bookings had taken place so after a very long time they agreed to give us a room for,the night which would follow on to our booking wirh them for the following 2 nights . We had to see them again next morning , I had meantime contacted Nature trips wanting some answers . I received a reply the next day from the director of nature trips apologising for the mistakes and that he was in contact with the hotel. We rhad been given a voucher for dinner for,the following, night even though our itinerary said 2 dinners we didn't complain as the food wasn't great in the dinning room . Upon checkout to start our drive to split to catch our boat the reception staff said there was still an issue with our first night and they hadn't t received payment from nature trips. They wanted us to supply a credit card for guarantee which I did not want to as I did not want them charging us again for something we had prepaid . They said we had to wait there until they heard again from nature trips but our driver came to get us so we left . I still have not received any further contact from Nature trips. The arrangements from then on were good but information was not given to us as we found other passengers had received . Times of departure ,type of money needed to pay on board ,expenses , were a couple . . We had booked a double bed cabin but on entering it was set up as twin, so we asked what happened, and then they just came and changed the layout of our cabin. Just pushing the twin beds together ..that was their saying it's now a double bed..I don't,think so... our cabin too had a terrible smell from the bathroom which they tried to,rectify and said would clear once the showers were going but we had to put towels over the drain holes to block the smells . The food was ok, very, homely, no choice in your lunch options . THe BBQ dinner offered as an extra one night was disappointing . I know this all sound negative, but the cruise it self was very good, the places we visited were amazing, and the group of people on board great except for a group of 4 who continually smoked one especially a cigar ..this spoilt it for a lot of passengers . A smoking area was allowed on the back of the boat where they sat but it was also a nice area where others wanted to sit ....there was another smoking area up the front where they should have gone but if boats allow them a smoking area on the back I guess they are entitled to be there but should have been more considerate of others . We do recommend booking a Croatian cruise but maybe direct with the cruise places themselves instead of the middle man .

Pearls of Adriatic Deluxe cruise Tour

Pearls of Adriatic Deluxe cruise

The tour itself was very good, the crew was friendly, the ship very satisfactory, the food OK (tended to be over-cooked). The biggest drawback was that there were a large number of "smokers" on the tour, perhaps 30-40% of the passengers. Unfortunately, there was no smoking prohibition in the aft lounge, which was enclosed for several days due to windy/rainy weather. Also, the crew members took their smoke-breaks there.. It made for a very unpleasant situation. I strongly recommend that this issue be addressed for the health and enjoyment of your future passengers. Are there non-smoking tours? Perhaps, a smoking area can be designated for the benefit of all. Thanks. MIchael

Croatia Cruise Southern Dalmatia - from Split Tour

Croatia Cruise Southern Dalmatia - from Split

A+ was full so we had to downgrade to an A level ship. At first, looking at the size comparison of the two ships, I was disappointed at the size of our ship. However, I quickly learned to enjoy the ship. Ther is only a max of 20 travelers on board, so by the end of the cruise you knew everyone and were exchanging contact information. Also, because of the size, the crew gets to personally know you and your preferences. Breakfast was your basic continental but lunch was tasty and plentiful. The pricing for drinks were normal not inflated. The only downside were bunk beds and no air conditioner and the rooms were very small. However, you don't spend much time in your rooms. Despite that I would still book again. One warning, when you get into port at night, you tie up next to other boats and they can be rather noisy. If you are our age ..in our 60's... if you are young you may enjoy the loud music from other boats or your boat may be a noisy boat. Inquire on ages of passengers before booking.

8-day Split Return cruise - Classic Plus boat, above-deck, 20-35s

We had the most amazing time EVER! Croatia is such a beautiful country and I will definitely return to see more of the country. We made such strong bonds with the other people on the cruise, as well as the crew members. The great food that we had was unexpected but that may have more to do with the chef on our cruise so results may vary. The only negative thing that I can think of is the small cabin size and the shower situation on board, but that’s to be expected and I think everyone on board adjusted relatively quickly. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!

Outstanding crew onboard the MV Lav. Jo, our guide, was exceptional, and really made a huge difference to the enjoyment of the trip. The itinerary is good with a nice mix of city and water time. Food was mostly good, some lunch meals excellent, a couple not so great and breakfast could definitely be improved. Great choice of restaurants for group dinners, the food was good at all of them.

Sail Club Croatia

Sailing your way since 2003, diverse ~ maintained ~ for sailing enthusiasts, inspirations, 1244 islands ~ terracotta rooftops ~ crystal sea, efficency ~ safety ~ knowledge, passionate ~ reliable ~ hardworking, interesting ~ informative ~ helpful, blissful escape, carefree ~ pampered ~ getaway, testimonials.

I’ve taken my family on holiday all over the world from tropical Islands to ski resorts and I never knew I could have such a memorable time so close to home. These guys have a real passion for what they do; we saw sites we’d never find on our own in a million years. Honestly, I wouldn’t risk traveling to Croatia with anyone else.

David Casterton, London

I am a hopeless sailor. I always think it is going to just be about getting cold and wet and shouting at to pull a rope. But with Sail Club Croatia all, I was expected to do was sunbathe on deck, eat a huge amount of food, and generally have a fabulous time. it was heaven. I am completely converted.

Clemmie Hambro, Freelance travel writer

Sail Club Croatia was absolutely superb from the moment I started to enquire about the holiday right to the end when they called once we were back to find out how our week was - First Class customer service. The suggested itinerary proved to be fantastic, right down to the various restaurant recommendations on different islands. The boat was immaculate, equipped with everything we could possibly need, and "Skippy" as we called him coped very admirably with 5 non-sailing girls! Croatia is a very special country and is best seen from the water.

Caroline Orr, London

Reality seldom exceeds one's dreams---Yet Sail Club Croatia met all our expectations and more, especially since it was our maiden week sail. As novices to sailing the personal attention prior to the sail, the day of the sail, and having our skipper Ms. Irina customize our daily adventures satisfied our every wish. From a beginner to advance sailor -- Sail Club Croatia’s personal attention to assuring one has a great holiday—one can not go wrong having this organization be your choice in charter companies.

Peter Joller, Switzerland

Sprawne przekazanie łodzi, szybka reakcja na uwagi dotyczące stanu technicznego , sprawne i bezproblemowe zdanie jachtu.

Wojciech Wódka, Poland

I came to Croatia with a crew total of 8, incl. children 4 & 2 YO. The boat was prepared almost perfectly (GPS failure is for me acceptable - there are maps for use), service was great, and we will definitely get back to the same company.

Przemek Kajak Wysota

We had an amazing week on Marco Polo end of June and the beginning of July. So much so that we have decided to complete our Day Skippers qualification so my son does not have to give me orders any longer. ( Just a little joke). We missed you at the Southampton Boat Show - I think we looked everywhere. A late thank you but your operation is inspiring and we have already recommended you to some friends. We look forward to chartering from you in the future. Thank you.

Martin Ruck, UK

Tante isole spettacolari Accoglienza e marina di grande livello. Una barca performante, sicura, spaziosa. In buone condizioni generali. Sia a sud che a nord di Split posti indimenticabili.

Marco La Monica, Italy

Thanks for good organization and contribution. The sailboat was great.

Gyula Bereny & Majsai T.Gyula

From the moment of arrival until the point of departure we felt like VIPs. We very much appreciate all that has been done on our behalf and thank you for the unexpected complimentary transfers to and from the airport. The technical team was also amazing in responding to correcting defects such as installing a temporary GPS and chart plotter as well as replacing the water pump which we found to be unsatisfactory due to very low pressure, as well as replacing the outboard in Rogoznica. As always, we had a fantastic time. Lots of sun this time and a little less wind. Our crew friends from the first week were very impressed with the arrangements and it is probable you may see them and their families as clients in due course. Once again, thank you to all the team at Sail Club Croatia who makes it all run so smoothly. A perfect way to spend our wedding anniversary.

Jonathan Millward, United Kingdom

Great team. We entered into our position, as the decision to rent was made right before the charter. Thank you very much for the work that has been done far in excess of one week.

Vladimir Skroba, Russia

A Mediterranean treasure waiting for you to explore by boat

Croatia is a sailing paradise, the perfect terrain for exploring with a yacht rental. And with over 1000 islands, alluring coastal cities, as well as countless fishing villages and bays, choosing where to set sail is going to be the hardest part.

Part of the former Yugoslavia, the country is lying just across the Adriatic sea from Italy’s east coast, and sharing land borders with Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia and Bosnia. Today, Croatia is a tourist haven, which when you arrive will come as no surprise. The scenery is stunning, the lifestyle is unmistakably Mediterranean and the food is a mouthwatering combination of east meets west.

As if that isn’t enough, Rough Guides readers named Croatia as one of the 20 most beautiful countries in the world! And how better so see this stunning country than from the deck of your Sailo yacht rental? A week of sailing in Croatia truly does have something to offer to everyone!

Fans of Game of Thrones will be all too aware of the beautiful landscapes on offer in Croatia. Namely Dubrovnik. The city stands in for Kings Landing in the popular TV show. But even if you’re not a fan of dragons and sword fighting, Dubrovnik is sure to steal your heart. The old town with its fortifications, lively centre and great views has become one of the most popular places to visit in the Mediterranean.

Rent a boat in Dubrovnik is also a great idea when you’re set to go sailing in Croatia. Sailo curates a great selection of sailboats and catamarans for explorers to get on the high seas and venture beyond the tourist throngs.

Besides Dubrovnik, you can rent a yacht in Zadar , choose a boat rental in Split or try a yacht charter in Sibenik with their own splendid vistas and excellent sailing rental opportunities.

Croatia is blessed with a whole archipelago of stunning islands, from well developed hangouts lined with millionaires mansions, to islands that are home only to deer and dolphins. The joy of island hopping when you go sailing in Croatia on your Sailo boat rental is that you can pick the island, or islands, that are right for you.

Want to stroll the harbourside in a vibrant town, then party the night away? Or maybe you’d prefer to sleep under the stars with just the sounds of gentle lapping waves? A yacht rental for a week-long sailing in Croatia allows you to do exactly what you please.

More preferable Croatian island for sailing is Hvar. Boat rentals in Hvar are choosing more often than for the other Croatian islands. The best known islands are are Hvar and Brač, the latter an easy day trip from Split. Both of these islands are large enough to explore and find your own slice of tranquility, or moor up and join the crowds. If you’re really looking to explore the pristine side of the islands, take your yacht rental to Dugi Otok, Molat, Zirje or Mljet for some peace and quiet.

As one might expect with all these stunning islands, one of the best things about renting a boat in Croatia is being able to explore those shimmering seas. The waters of Adriatic sea often have great visibility and a vibrant and visible sea life. Although you’ll find lots of opportunity to rent scuba gear, and be rewarded with some of the most stunning undersea life in the Mediterranean, snorkeling offers its own rich rewards.

Many of the Croatian islands are fringed by shallow reefs, perfect for splashing about with a snorkel for hours at a time. Big and little kids will delight at the rich array of fish and other underwater critters, and you’ll often spot octopus, crab, scorpionfish and even seals and dolphins.

In fact, you won’t even need to get wet to enjoy meeting bottlenose dolphins. When cruising the Adriatic Sea on your yacht rental, you’re highly likely to meet a friendly pod of dolphins at some point. If you’re lucky you might even get to see a turtle!

The Mediterranean isn’t short of a few historic sites, and Croatia has its fair share. From castles to ruins; to fortifications from modern conflicts, history buffs will find lots to keep them occupied. Stari Grad in Hvar is home to an ancient Roman settlement as well as an Ottoman era fort. In Zadar, walk through the city gates from the era when Venice was the local superpower.

Dubrovnik of course, with its old town a UNESCO heritage site, is made up of a whole smorgasbord of ancient civilizations. In fact the Byzantines, Venetians and Austro-Hungarians are just a few of the people to have left their mark on this beautiful town. Wherever you end up with your boat rental in Croatia, you won’t be far from a piece of history.

If you’re looking to rent a boat to go sailing in Croatia, you’ll find options for Sailo boat rentals all the way up the Dalmatian coast. Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Sibenik offer a fantastic choice of monohull yachts and catamarans, for either day trips or week long yacht charter.

When renting your boat in Croatia, you’ll find options for families and friends, or bigger boats to really make a splash. Cruise the sea in a powerboat or raise the mainsail to let the trade winds carry you to your next destination.

Charter types

Bareboat charter.

The most popular and engaging of all our charter options is the bareboat charter . It is a perfect choice for people with some sailing skills who prefer planning out their own itinerary according to their interests. If you decide to go with our bareboat charter option you will enjoy complete passenger privacy on board, individual expense management by the passengers, as well as a free choice of anchorages, marinas, sailing duration etc. This is the most affordable type of boat charter. If you have a valid skippers' license and adequate knowledge of bareboating, you can enjoy an active sailing holiday in Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Italy or in any other country where your license is valid and we have yachts to offer for charter.

Skippered charter

Skippered charter in Croatia is also highly sought after for renting sailing yachts, catamarans and motor boats . You can choose any boat in our yacht charter offer and hire a skipper who will be responsible for the maneuvering of the yacht. The skipper/captain that you want to hire has all the required licenses and nautical skills, as well as good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests or passengers. In accordance to your wishes and weather conditions, he will make the best decisions for itinerary, routes, anchorages, etc. Renting a skippered boat in Croatia can be a great choice for a casual, relaxing and carefree sailing vacation.

Crewed charter

Crewed charter in Croatia is the most personalised form of yacht charter, which applies to gulet charter and luxury motor yachts rentals . It is one of the most comfortable and enjoyable types of holiday you can spend in the Adriatic, fully organised according to a client's desires and preferences. Due to the fact that a complete crew (captain, steward, cook) are on board 24 hours a day, guests are provided with a full service at any time. You can choose between half-board, full-board or an all inclusive service, according to your food type preferences as well as any other specific requests you might have. One of the special segments of our charter service is cabin charter on cruises with predetermined cruising routes whether on large or small cruiser ships or on a yacht accommodating less guests, but providing privacy and a more intimate environment.

Yacht charter available in the Adriatic is ideally positioned for the finest sailing experience through all renowned areas and recommended places via proposed routes along the Croatian coastline. Most popular charter bases and sailing areas in Croatia are the following regions: Pula , Rijeka, Zadar , Sibenik, Split and Dubrovnik . Boat rental is possible in any of the thirty marinas in Croatia, where we offer our yacht rental services. All charter bases in Croatia are well connected to the largest European cities, making it easy to realise your Croatian sailing holidays.

Since a significant part of the Mediterranean is in the European Union, this makes its destinations easily accessible to visit. It is easier to rent a boat in coastal destinations like Greece, Italy, France and Spain, while for island destinations like Malta, Sicily, Sardinia and Crete you need to travel further. But whether the departure base is in a large city centre, such as renting a boat from Athens, or one of the islands ( Dodecanese, Cyclades, Sporades or even the Caribbean), you will receive a uniform service because our partners adhere to standards that apply to chartering in the world.

Everyone can enjoy the cruise regardless of the nautical skills they possess. You can easily choose a cabin for rent on one of our cruise ships that sail on predetermined routes and departure dates. Most often such cruises last a week, but there are also shorter cruises lasting 3 days for those who have less time available. The types of cruise ships available to us may be different.

Cruises on wooden ships

We offer cruises on traditional wooden boats that can accommodate from approximately 20 to 40 people accommodated in cabins of two or three. On most of such wooden boats, each cabin has its own private bathroom with toilet and shower, and on the cheaper ones, there is at least a hand basin in the cabin. Sailing on a wooden ship certainly evokes the atmosphere of some ancient times when these same wooden ships carried passengers or precious cargo.

Cruises on modern vessels

This type of cruise offers greater comfort and more content because the ships used are usually slightly larger and newer. The cabins are more spacious, and each must have its own private bathroom with toilet and shower. Also the service on such cruises is richer. Guests can choose between cabins on the lower and upper decks, and on luxury cruisers there are VIP cabins with their own private balconies where you can relax and enjoy the sailing.

Send a charter inquiry or send an email to [email protected] and get the information on which boats are available for rent in Croatia during the desired period. Shortly upon receiving your charter inquiry , we will send you a charter offer, according to your request and specific requirements. We will do our best to find an appropriate boat and make the best charter deal based on your preferences. Once you have selected the boat that best suits your needs, you can book the boat and conclude the lease agreement. More about boat reservation ...

You can send the same charter inquiry if you want to rent a cabin on a cruise . Please write us your requirements, departure date and duration of the cruise, which route you would like to sail and everything else you think is important to you. When we receive your inquiry we will check availability and send you our best cruise offer, based on which you can then book a cabin.
