PRESENTING FIDELIS

Sailing yacht FIDELIS is a 56-meter luxury sailing charter vessel.  Her design is by the Perini Navi Group’s Technical and Design Department. In addition, collaborated with the New Zealand yacht designer, Ron Holland.  FIDELIS turns heads throughout the Mediterranean in the summer. Additionally, in the Caribbean in the winter.

Perini Navi 56 meter series sail yacht FIDELIS presents ample areas for enjoying life on deck. She has two cockpits, one fore, one aft, which allows guests to enjoy generously comfortable outdoor spaces. Interiors were designed in-house by Perini Navi’s architects and have a contemporary, refined style with simple, clean lines combined with the use of materials such as stained walnut, wenge, parchment, maple, teak, steel, marble and leather.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Guest accommodations are on the lower deck. The master suite is a large, full-beam stateroom with a double bed at the center, an office starboard and a couch to port. Four guest cabins all have queen-sized beds, and two of these also have retractable Pullman berths and wide couches that can become beds.

Perini Navi S/Y Fidelis, a yacht made to enjoy life

The ketch sail plan, designed and engineered by Perini Navi's Mast Division measures 1,500 square meters. Both the main and the mizzen masts are in aluminum and are respectively 58.37 and 47.97 meters high. The booms are both in carbon fiber and have in-boom furling systems.

This yacht has especially ample areas for enjoying life on deck with two cockpits, one fore, one aft, which allow owners and guests to enjoy generously comfortable outdoor spaces.

The fore cockpit is arranged around the main mast and has two "L" shaped couches that can seat up to twelve and two removable tables. This area also has a waxed canvas awning for protection from the sun and built-in lighting for evening enjoyment.

The aft cockpit has a well-protected dining area with a table for twelve and a lounging area with three couches, two armchairs and a coffee table. There is also a guest head and a semi-circular staircase, protected and embellished by a custom-built glass wall, that leads up to the flying bridge. This bridge area has been completely re-modeled compared to her sister ships in that it has a wide sunning and lounging area aft with two central seats from which to enjoy the view, a dining area and the steering stations with sail and engine controls.

Fidelis' interiors were designed in-house by Perini Navi's architects and have a contemporary, refined style with simple, clean lines combined with the use of materials such as stained walnut, wenge, parchment, maple, teak, steel, marble and leather.

The main saloon, designed as a light-filled open space, is divided into two areas by an unusual central element that houses both the steel and wenge staircase that leads to the lower deck and two elegant sliding glass doors that separate the living and dining areas.

Fidelis' lower deck has a large, full-beam stateroom with a double bed at the center, an office starboard and a couch port. The four guest cabins all have queen-sized beds and two of these also have retractable pullman berths and wide couches that can become beds.

Perini Navi's first 56mt sailing yacht, Burrasca, was launched in 2003 and since then she has been joined by sister yachts Santa Maria (now Zenji), Rosehearty, Selene, Salute, Silvana, Riela (now Asahi), Panthalassa and Melek.

Perini Navi Delivers 56 Meter Superyacht Fidelis

A private ceremony was held in the rear cockpit of the yacht and saw the participation of the owner and the Perini Navi Yachts team. After the usual formal procedures, Fidelis ’ crew did the tradition changing of flags.

Designed by the Perini Navi Group’s technical and design department in collaboration with the New Zealand yacht designer, Ron Holland, S/Y Fidelis features an aluminum hull and superstructure with a displacement of 545 tons and a tonnage of 497 tons.

Beginning March 2, 2024, current enrollees in Qualified Health Plans (Ambetter from Fidelis Care) who are within 200-250% FPL were notified via letter from NY State of Health about the expansion of Essential Plan (EP) coverage in New York State. Members that now qualify for Essential Plan coverage will automatically be moved from their Qualified Health Plan to Essential Plan 200-250 , effective April 1, 2024.

In addition to the Essential Plan Expansion, effective April 1, 2024, NYS will be implementing the EP Pregnancy Choice Provision .  Individuals who are currently in EP and who report being pregnant will remain EP eligible, instead of being moved into Medicaid. 

• Members must report their pregnancy to NYSoH to update their enrollment.
• Cost sharing for all services during pregnancy and for a 12-month post-partum period will be covered in full.

If a provider is already participating with Fidelis for Essential Plans, they will also be participating for the new Essential Plan 200-250. Additionally, since all EP levels are reimbursed on parity, or at the same rates, no contract amendments are required to implement these program enhancements.

We are making every effort to ensure continuity of care by directly reaching out to high-risk patients, transferring prior authorization approvals, and providing coverage details through the Member and Provider Portals and fideliscare.org.

K-State doctoral students receive awards for research presentations at Capitol Graduate Research Summit

Two graduate students, Jaymi Peterson and Ramona Weber, were K-State award recipients at the annual Capitol Graduate Research Summit at the State Capitol in Topeka.

MANHATTAN — Two Kansas State University graduate students were recognized for their outstanding research poster presentations at the annual Capitol Graduate Research Summit , or CGRS, held at the State Capitol in Topeka on March 21. Ramona Weber, doctoral student in health and human sciences specializing in kinesiology, Hanover , presented "Effect of dietary nitrate supplementation on tumor oxygenation." Weber's major professor is David Poole, university distinguished professor of kinesiology. Jaymi Peterson, doctoral student in food, nutrition, dietetics and health, Chanute , presented "Effects of pH and wet cooking on sorghum starch digestibility, phenolic profile, and cell bioactivity." Her major professor is Weiqun (George) Wang, professor of food, nutrition, dietetics and health. Both Peterson and Weber received $500 scholarships from the Graduate School for their presentations. The CGRS — coordinated between Kansas' six state universities — is an annual showcase in which graduate students present posters of their research to state legislators and the public to showcase their work and promote the value of graduate education. This year, more than 40 students discussed the implications their work has for issues of interest to Kansas legislators and residents. Outstanding presentations received awards from the participating institutions. Additionally, BioKansas presented three awards. During her presentation, Weber spoke with faculty and graduate students from the University of Kansas Medical Center about the impact of breast cancer, a disease that affects approximately one in eight women. Weber said learning about the research and experiences of graduate students from other departments and universities demonstrated the value of interdisciplinary collaboration. They discussed the dietary aspects of her research, and how it could help improve the chemotherapy process. Prior to the summit, Weber contacted State Rep. Lisa Moser, who represents the 106th District which includes Hanover. Moser visited with Weber at the Capitol and discussed Weber's ongoing research in breast cancer, as well as the impact of breast cancer in rural communities. Weber noted that effective communication of research results, both within the scientific community and the public, is integral to her doctoral training. "There is a significant gap between the public and scientists, which often results in misinformation," she said. "Impactful communication of research can bridge this gap and foster a trusting relationship, enabling continued support for the advancement of science." Peterson also had the opportunity to speak with legislators. She said the process of preparing her research presentation taught her the value of learning to discuss her work in a variety of formats for different audiences, so that it can be relatable to everyone. "One legislator spoke with me in depth," she said. "They were interested to learn about their potential uses for health-foods. When I explained to them that a majority of the public doesn't know what sorghum is or how it could be potentially leveraged for the Kansas economy, the legislators were very interested to learn more." She said the legislators who she spoke with seemed surprised that, according to Peterson's research, cooking food samples for 10 minutes improved starch digestibility. By doing this, the nutritional profile of sorghum for food applications could improve. "They were pleased to learn more about sorghum and how we could use this undervalued cereal grain to better the Kansas economy," Peterson said. "They agreed with me that to better leverage sorghum for Kansas farmers, it is important to first educate the public on sorghum polyphenols and their potential health benefits." Weber and Peterson were two of ten K-State graduate students who presented their research at this year's CGRS were selected to represent K-State based on their presentation at the university's Research and the State poster forum, which took place Oct. 24. They included Brooke Balderson, doctoral student in health and human sciences — couple and family therapy, Manhattan ; Savannah Stewart, doctoral student in food science, Valley Center ; Holly Ellis, master's student in architecture, Grimes, Iowa ; Andrea Salazar, doctoral student entomology, Ecuador ; Manivannan Selladurai, doctoral student in grain science, India ; Amirsalar Bagheri, doctoral student in chemical engineering, Iran ; Reza Nematirad, doctoral student in electrical and computer engineering, Iran ; and Fidelis Onwuagba, master's student in geology, Nigeria . Tenders & Toys: The catamaran has 2 paddles, 2 kayaks, PMT equipment, a last generation F5 seabob equipped with 2 cameras and a powerful 60 HP dinghy that allows you to practice water skiing, wakeboarding and take you to the beaches in all comfort.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

The three luxury suites are located on the lower deck. The deluxe master suite is forward in the starboard hull and features a lounge area and luxury ensuite bathroom with double vanity and separate shower. There are two additional ensuite double cabins, one aft in the starboard hull and the other forward in the port hull. There is separate crew accommodation.

The fidelis partnership to lead new lloyd’s syndicate 3123.

The Fidelis Partnership, formerly known as Fidelis MGU, has confirmed that Lloyd’s has granted “in principle” approval for the launch of Syndicate 3123 in collaboration with Fidelis Insurance Holdings Limited (Fidelis Insurance Group), a global specialty insurer, and Hampden Agencies, the largest provider of private capital to Lloyd’s.

Subject to the completion of final approval, the launch of Syndicate 3123 is expected to represent a “significant milestone” in The Fidelis Partnership’s strategic expansion.

The launch also clearly demonstrates the firm’s continued alignment and strong collaborative relationship with the Fidelis Insurance Group.

From what we understand, Syndicate 3123 will have an initial target to write $180 million of Gross Written Premium (GWP) in H2’24, and $450 million in 2025.

Moreover, Syndicate 3123 will also underwrite across multiple insurance and reinsurance classes, which includes contract frustration and political risk, credit, property catastrophe, political violence, marine, and aviation.

It has also been confirmed that Daniel O’Connell will be appointed as the Active Underwriter of Syndicate 3123.

A renowned figure across the sector, O’Connell brings extensive specialty underwriting experience and is currently serving in the role of Head of Bespoke for The Fidelis Partnership.

Another important factor to highlight, is that the syndicate will be managed at formation with support from Asta.

Further, both The Fidelis Partnership and Fidelis Insurance Group are being advised on the transaction by Asta and Willkie Farr & Gallagher (UK) LLP.
