Acquired a Santana 22, looking into more info online and there isn't much. Searching here there was a website dedicated to it but no longer working. Any resource other than Saildata?

There's still a fleet of the 22s on SF Bay
Did RC for the Nationals in Monterey a couple of weekends ago. Small fleet with lots of novices. The boats move well when it's windy, even --- like during the Nationals --- with no spinnaker. Definately set it up for max rake, use a compression strut, and use a backstay adjuster with a lot of purchase and decent range.

I think they are pretty rare off of SFBay. They were designed for the bay specifically. They are pretty under canvassed to handle summer winds on the bay with safety and comfort.

There were 3 or 4 others at the tiny Hood River marina when I had mine. They are quite good in a blow which is why they are clustered in windy locations.

I believe there were several iterations, the first being a MORC "box rule" one off 22 proposal by Mull, then modified slightly for production by two subsequent builders as the rocket 22 and pocket rocket 22
Aug 29, 2021 · I like J/70 a lot but it is too long at 22.74-feet. J/22 pretty good too but it is 22.5-feet. J/22 ($6k - $11k used) is a lot cheaper than J/70 ($30k - $40k+ used). The J/70 has a more ergonomic cockpit. I am very much in favor of ergonomic cockpits!

The Rocket 31 design was so successful that Jim Young went on to design the Young 88 racer/cruiser, but this is a faster and racier experience. A Rocket 31 won Class 1 at the 1994 Cowes week and the 1995 Round the Isle of Wight race.
The prior version was the Mull 22 or The Pocket Rocket. This is the wood build proto type for sale with a modified rig.
Dec 29, 2019 · We built the Creekmore 22 in Mobile the year after the Harmony 22 pretty much set the MORC on its ear with the internally ballasted daggerboard concept. Pretty much a rating no-brainer until they adjusted the MORC rule a couple of years later. A couple of keel Creekmores were built but they never seemed to sail to the new rating.
Aug 28, 2021 · The original non-turbo version of the Rocket 22 - and much cheaper. A bit doggy downwind in the light stuff, due in part to the flat bottom and fat stern, but otherwise a quick little boat. The one below was in good shape IIRC and listed at CAD $5k a couple of years ago.
