Fresh from an extensive program of improvements and upgrades in summer and winter 2020-21, this 91.4m (299.9ft) yacht welcomes up to 36 guests in 18 sumptuous and adaptable cabins. What is the ''APA''?

Additional expenses are covered through the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). Typically, the APA amounts to 25% to 30% of the total charter fee, depending on factors such as your itinerary, food, beverages, and more. Throughout your charter, the captain will maintain precise records of the expenses incurred. At the conclusion of the charter, you will either receive a refund for any remaining funds or be asked to cover any additional costs that were accrued during the cruise.

Is VAT applicable to the charter fee?

For the United Arab Emirates, the Value Added Tax (VAT) is set at 5%. However, VAT rates can differ depending on the embarkation location and chosen itinerary. We are here to provide you with the most up-to-date information regarding the tax regulations in any country you intend to visit.

Is it necessary to tip the captain and crew, and if yes, what is the customary amount?

Tipping is entirely optional, and if you choose to tip the crew for their professionalism, helpfulness, graciousness, and more, it is customary to offer 5% to 15% of the total charter amount on the last day before disembarking from the boat. In the Mediterranean, we typically recommend 5% to 10%, while in the Caribbean, 10% to 15% is customary. If there are multiple crew members, it is best to give the tip to the captain, who will distribute it among the crew, ensuring harmony among the team.

What happens after I submit a booking?

What are the payment terms for a weekly charter?

To secure your booking, a 50% deposit of the total charter fee is required upon signing the Charter Agreement. The remaining 50%, along with an Advance Provisioning Allowance, applicable taxes, delivery/redelivery fees, and any agreed additional charges, must be paid via bank transfer one month prior to the charter start date.

Is it possible for me to specify the food and wine to be served on the yacht?

before boarding the yacht, we kindly request that you fill out a detailed questionnaire outlining the preferences and specific needs of all individuals in your party. This includes dietary or medical requirements, any allergies, and any specific sporting or entertainment requests. This information will allow us and the yacht's crew to make every effort in ensuring that your charter is a delightful and personalized experience.

Moonlight II is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 234,445 litre fuel tanks at 14 knots. Moonlight II features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

When not cruising Moonlight II has onboard an incredible selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to connect with the waters around you. You'll be loving the huge adrenaline rush as you zip over the water on one of the four Yamaha FX 110A-D WaveRunners. Also there are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If you or a member of your party loves diving, then you'll appreciate the dive compressor and diving equipment. If that isn't enough Moonlight II also features a seabob, wakeboards, kayaks, fishing equipment and snorkelling equipment. The design features Grecian-inspired interiors with a subtle azure and arctic white color palette.

There is also a gym for guests to remain active while on board. The deck jacuzzi is the perfect setting to soak up the bubbles.

The builder of the impressive MOONLIGHT 2 was Neorion Syros Shipyards , a Greek yacht-building company. The naval architecture of the yacht was designed by Murray & Associates .

She was built with a teak deck, steel hull, and an aluminum superstructure. She was delivered in 2006 and refitted in 2015, where she was extended by 6.1m.

Motor yacht Moonlight II (ex: Alysia) is one of the world’s largest charter vessels at 85.3 metres and her towering profile and sleek hull make this incredible superyacht an unforgettable presence within the industry. From her wide teak swimming platform to her five spectacular decks bursting with luxurious amenities, Moonlight II is the perfect choice for an incredible charter holiday or a one-off business conference.

In October 2015, Moonlight II (ex Alysia) underwent a large scale refit planned and executed by Alpha Marine Ltd in Greece. The vessel was extended by 6.1 m to become 91.4 m overall length (previously 85.3 m). Her new abundant spaces comprise of a Beach Club on her aft part with 3 shell doors and corresponding big hull platforms for direct access to the sea and a diving center. The Open Decks were also extended with new exterior seating areas arranged on the Main Deck and on the Upper Deck aft.After the refit, she boasts an additional giga-size Jacuzzi (diameter: 4m) on the Top Deck and another private Jacuzzi (diameter: 2 m) on the Owner’s Deck in front of the Owner’s cabin. The life-saving equipment was fully replaced among many other modifications, and the vessel’s speed increased by 2.5 Knots, the noise and vibration issues were diminished and her turning circle was also greatly reduced (by approximately 50 m).

Able to accommodate thirty-six guests in 17 sumptuous staterooms and suites, Moonlight II is the quintessence of luxury. The sprawling master suite, located on the Upper Deck, measures over 122 square metres and has 180 degree panoramic windows with a door leading to a private deck. A capacious California king bed faces a retractable 42” plasma television with a Creston control console, while the rest of the suite includes a private study, additional twin stateroom, his and hers dressing rooms and an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The VIP suite sits on the Bridge Deck and includes a television lounge, a study with a double sofa bed, a spacious Michelangelo marble bathroom with separate shower and Jacuzzi tub as well as a super king-size bed facing a plasma television. The additional guest rooms fall to eight super king-size doubles and seven twin staterooms, one of which is equipped for special needs. Furnished to the highest standards, each room boasts limed oak panelling, limestone architraves, silk-embroidered counterpanes, sofas, a writing desk, LCD television with DVD and large marble bathrooms.

Superyacht Moonlight II comes equipped with many incredible features such as the lift, rising 21 metres up from the sea, the helipad which converts into a circular sunbathing terrace and the dazzling health and beauty centre whose epicentre is a large salon set around a marble Jacuzzi. Large slabs of cut-to-curve Azul Paraliso marble set off the floor to ceiling back-lit glass panels, while reclining guests can gaze at the aquarium or the star ceiling lit by fibre optics. Other features include a well-equipped gymnasium, salon for facial and body treatments, massage room, hair and nail salon, male and female steam rooms, saunas, showers, Jacuzzi plunge pools and a calming Relaxation area.

The Upper Deck saloon acts a private club with its plasma screen, backgammon and card table, and generously stocked bar. Downstairs, through panels of blue Brazilian Makauba marble, is the main cinema with its extensive library of vintage and modern classics.

An accomplished chef is onboard at all times, allowing guests to sample different cuisine at any hour: from French to Thai, the culinary creativity that Moonlight II’s staff can produce will suit the palate of the most sophisticated gourmand. Large groups will adore the fantastic dining saloon that seats 36 while outdoor areas can be utilized as well for premier alfresco dining. Families will love the ease and comfort of the supervised crèche.

Moonlight II is available for charter in the Mediterranean for the summer season and the Maldives during the winter season.

Moonlight 2 is built by the Greek shipyard Neorion. The yacht moves at a maximum speed of 15 knots and has a range of 7,000 nm. Twin caterpillar engines of 2,750 hp are behind the yacht’s power and performance. Furthermore, the yacht features in-anchor stabilizer stabilizers that ensure a smooth sailing experience.

H.Poulias drew up the yacht’s interiors while Alpha Marine Ltd designed the exterior. She was initially built in 2005 and was refitted later in 2015.

About the builder

The ONEX Neorion shipyard is located on Syros Island in Greece and is known for building ultra-luxurious, powerful superyachts. Since it was first established in 1861, the shipyard has over 160 years of excellence to back it up.

The yacht Moonlight 2 Besitzer is owned by Sultan bin Khalifa al Nahyan. Earlier, the yacht was built for Andreas Liveras under Alysia. She was developed along with the Queen Miri yacht and was only 280 ft long. In 2015, the length was also increased when the yacht was refitted for the new owner.

€17M price drop on 91m Neorion superyacht Moonlight II

A €17,000,000 price drop has been announced on the 91.4-metre superyacht Moonlight II , listed for sale with David Legrand and Alain Auvare of Fraser .

The brainchild of the late Andreas Liveras, Moonlight II was built in steel by Neorion in Greece and delivered in 2005. She was designed by Alpha Marine with interiors by H. Poulias. The brokers said that, "this price adjustment makes Moonlight II surely the most desirable 90-metre-plus superyacht of the market today".

Moonlight II was originally commissioned as the 85.3-metre Alysia by Andreas Liveras along with a sistership Annaliesse , now Queen Miri . Liveras is renowned in the industry as a pioneer in the superyacht charter arena, introducing large spas and high-capacity vessels to the charter market.

Passenger Ship certified, Moonlight II accommodates a party of 36 in 18 staterooms and suites and offers guests over 2,400 square metres of living space to enjoy. The superyacht has hosted many VIPs over its decks at events from Monaco to the Middle East, served by a crew of 36.

The main saloon offers a multitude of comfortable seating areas, a bar, and a grand piano, while the "presidential size" dining area shows its opulence with two large dining tables to seat the full party of 36 guests. From the dining room, one enters the reception lobby which serves the 10 guest staterooms located on the main deck and leads to the spectacular full-beam spa which includes a massage room, beauty salon, steam shower and gym.

The upper deck presents an impressive owner’s apartment, all en suite with private access to its Jacuzzi on deck. This deck includes five guest cabins and a fully equipped cinema room. The bridge deck boasts a sky lounge, ideally suited to entertainment, with a games room and a bar. This deck also includes two guest staterooms.

Moonlight II was lengthened by 6.1 metres during a refit in 2014 to 2015 when new exterior deck spaces and seating areas were added across her 14-metre beam. She sports a vast beach club with bar, elevator to all decks and a touch-and-go helipad.

The brokers have described her as "the quintessence of luxury in the utmost comfort and safety".

The ABS-classed 3,056 GT yacht for sale cruises at 13 knots and has a top speed of 15 knots. With a range of over 7,000 nautical miles, she is a true transoceanic world-cruising superyacht.

This was scheduled as a 2-hour Sunset Cruise with BBQ. Now for Americans when we read BBQ it’s usually associated with BBQ ribs, chicken some kind of meat with BBQ sauce. Not so in this cruise, they put hamburgers, chicken hotdogs and some vegetables on the grill and called it a BBQ. For me and my crew we were disappointed. I think they need to remove the termBBQ and just say “Grilled food!” They also need to bring some sort of dressing or Oil n Vinegar for their salad they offer!
