Alex Propson From Below Deck Sailing Yacht: All We Know About the Star

Pooja Sharma of Alex Propson From Below Deck Sailing Yacht: All We Know About the Star

The spin-off of the hit ‘Below Deck’ ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht ’ showcases the drama, arguments, and everything in between as it follows the crew members working atop a 177-foot yacht. As the yacht sails to charter in exotic locations like Greece, Croatia, and Spain, a number of situations arise, adding more fun to the mix. The Bravo series enraptures viewers with the mundane management issues and interpersonal relationships between stewardesses, deckhands, and the Captain.

Besides promising a healthy dose of drama and an insight into the lives of people who work in such a setting, the reality television show also introduces new personalities in action. Ever since the announcement of Alex Propson as the new deckhand in season 4, viewers cannot wait to see the new addition to the team in action. As crew members navigate the turbulent waters of Sardina, Italy, fans look forward to the new dynamics that will make the show even more worthwhile. However, fans are equally curious about Alex Propson, whose reserved personality has left many curious about him. Luckily, we’ve got all the answers you’re looking for.

Alex Propson Was Born in Wisconsin

Born in 1988, Alex Propson is a Wisconsin native who did not just spend his childhood in Appletown but also completed his schooling there. For college, Propson headed to Oshkosh and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin. From there on, Alex Propson dipped his feet in the world of Sales, but his calling to the ocean proved to be much stronger. The son of a Lynchburg native, Alex Propson’s active lifestyle further allowed him to create a career in the waters.

The 34-year-old reality TV personality is often seen playing basketball or engaging in some form of sport to keep up his shape and physique. It wasn’t long before Propson took to the waters and its allied benefits and solidified his place in the yachting industry through efficient networking. After spending some time in Los Angeles, he finally headed to Florida and pursued his calling, this securing a successful career.

Alex Propson’s Profession

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Alex Propson began his career as a Sales Manager at Xperience Fitness. While the job allowed him to stay active all the time and focus on his physique, it did not offer a significant challenge that could help him grow more individually. What really propelled him to pursue a career in the industry was the pandemic. After spending away as many as eight years in the world of sales, Alex Propson looked for something more where he could experience everything.

Alex’s determination to succeed in the yachting industry aided him in creating unmatched progress in such a short time. Moreover, with the opportunity presented to work as a deckhand in the hit spin-off series of ‘Below Deck,’ Alex naturally achieved all the goals he set out to accomplish as a professional in the yachting industry.

Not just ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht,’ Alex Propson has also been selected to star in the reality TV show ‘Winter House.’ Yet another Bravo reality television series, ‘Winter House’, follows cast members and their friends across two weeks of vacation in a Winter House.

Alex Propson’s Dating Life

Aside from his professional conquests that have wooed fans completely, many wonder whether or not Alex Propson is in a committed relationship. Alas, as much as fans want to know more about Alex Propson’s romantic life, he keeps his personal life under wraps and doesn’t divulge any details regarding the same on his social media accounts.

However, Propson is an avid traveler whose fondness for traveling takes him to different corners of the world. Even during his travels, he does not fail to take care of his dog, a dalmatian named Mali. From camping in the back of the van with his dog to finding new beaches and discovering ancient places, Alex Propson’s life is an amalgamation of interest, intrigue, and curiosity. Naturally, fans await the continuous developments of Propson’s career and personal life!

BDSY: What Happened To Alex Propson After Season 4

BDSY: What Happened To Alex Propson After Season 4

Deckhand Alex Propson and Chase Lemacks held down the fort on Parsifal III despite the rudderless leadership of First Officer Gary King throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 . Alex bonded with Chase right from the get-go when they had to man the superyacht without the South African reality TV star who was recovering from a COVID-19 infection. Alex didn’t get a lot of airtime on the show, although he did catch the fancy of stewardess Mads Herrera . Of course Gary went after the girl who caught both his subordinates’ eyes, and hooked up with her throughout the season. Nevertheless, Alex’s patience and chill vibe eventually won over Mads, compared to Gary’s childish and drunken antics. Despite the aspiring model and actor not getting a lot of screentime, he managed to snag a role on Bravo’s upcoming season of Winter House . So, what happened to Alex Propson after filming BDSY 4 other than finding his next big break?

Alex finished the season strong, stealing away Mads from Gary on the last crew night out. At the beginning of the season, he also caught the eye of Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher , who repeatedly commented on how attractive she found him. By the end of the season he’d become good friends with stew Lucy Edmunds , who fans believe he lowkey dated on the show , Mads, Chase and Chef Ileisha Dell . His friendship with the latter three led to a California road trip in a campervan to Joshua Tree National Park, LA and San Francisco in November 2022. Before that though, Alex traveled part of Europe when he finished the charter season in late July in Sardinia, Italy . He traveled to Venice, Rome, Hydra and Santrotini in Greece, Turkey, and Thailand.

What Happened To Alex Propson After Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4

In the New Year, Alex kept a pretty lowkey profile for the most part. He posted a few pictures of himself in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he lives and works as a captain on smaller vessels and is a licensed yacht broker. In early June, Alex flew out to NYC along with Daisy, Chase and Mads to film an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen. While on the show, he revealed he currently has a girlfriend (sorry ladies) and she doesn’t enjoy watching him on BDSY season 4. It’s someone he previously dated in LA he’s since reconnected with, so it may be his ex girlfriend. While in Manhattan he also partied with some of his Winter House co-stars.

More recently, Alex has helped out his buddy Chase refurbish an old sailboat he bought . Chase said he’s also helping Alex shopping for a houseboat. It looks like Alex may be following in Chase and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae ‘s footsteps in becoming a boating influencer. Unfortunately for fans who liked Alex, he won’t be returning as part of the BDSY season 5 cast .

We’ll have to wait and see to find out what else we can learn happened to Alex after the show when the two-part BDSY season 4 reunion releases .

Fox Valley native Alex Propson went from boating Lake Winnebago to landing on Bravo's 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'

below deck yacht alex

Life on the water isn’t what it once was for Alex Propson.

Not only is the boat bigger, so are the waves he’s making.

The Fox Valley native grew up boating on Lake Winnebago and the Chain O’ Lakes. Sometimes he would go fishing on the Wolf River, where his parents had a cottage, and take the boat down to Lake Poygan.

“Beyond that, I never even made it to the vast seas of Lake Michigan,” said Propson, who was born in Neenah and spent most of his youth in Kaukauna.

These days, you’ll find him every Monday night on board the 177-foot Parsifal III in the waters off Sardinia, Italy, on Bravo’s “Below Deck Sailing Yacht.”

He’s a deckhand on Season 4 of the reality TV show that follows Captain Glenn Shephard as he oversees a crew that works hard — and plays hard. Charter guests sip espresso martinis, dine on eel fillets, leave $19,000 tips and break into tears when their cabin doesn’t have ample toilet paper. “Boatmances,” hookups and copious amounts of Champagne are a given. (This is Bravo, remember, the network home to “The Real Housewives” series, “Vanderpump Rules” and the original “Below Deck” and its spinoffs.)

The current "Sailing Yacht" season premiered April 10. New episodes air at 7 p.m. Mondays on Bravo and are available to stream the next day on Peacock.

“It’s been a ride, I’ll tell you that,” said Propson who filmed last summer but had to keep it under wraps until the cast was announced in March. “It’s been a year of angst, not really knowing what’s going to happen once the show does come out and how that’s going to affect my life.”

He left Appleton, got into yachting in Marina del Rey during pandemic

He didn’t exactly chart a course to an oceanic lifestyle or prime time television. It found him.

After graduating from Freedom High School and the former University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, he was living in Appleton and working in sales when he moved to Los Angeles about five years ago. He got into yachting during the pandemic and met a couple from Minneapolis looking for a crew for their boat in Marina del Rey, California. They taught him everything he needed to know, and he later got his captain’s license through the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was cast on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” after someone saw his social media. His Capt. Alex Propson Instagram is drenched in shots of him on, in or by water, from Greece to Montana to South Africa. After he and a group of friends from the Fox Valley toured Europe in 2018, he spent four months doing volunteer work in Thailand and embraced scuba diving when his travels took him all over Southeast Asia.

“Ever since then I’ve kind of just had this travel bug, this kind of spontaneous, adventurous part of me that sometimes needs attention,” he said.

He flexed his Wisconsin beer-chugging muscle for the cameras

Signing on to “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” felt like a well-timed opportunity to broaden his knowledge and his comfort zone.

“When I got started in Marina del Rey, it was a pretty new world. I had spent a lot of time on boats via scuba diving and other activities that I had abroad, but as far as captaining or crewing a larger yacht, it was starting from scratch,” he said. “Not a whole lot of open coastline in Wisconsin.”

Even with his captain’s license, he didn't have a lot of sailing in his background, so he approached the show as a learning experience. The same went for getting comfortable in front of TV cameras, which, as it turned out, took care of itself.

“You have to be so focused on the work that you’re doing, because it is very important and sometimes dangerous work ... the safety of other people is involved ... that the television part of it kind of isn’t even there,” he said.

"You kind of forget sometimes that you’re doing it for television so a lot of what you see is very, very candid in regards to interactions with the crew and with the guests. Our crew nights out for sure we forget that we’re on camera.”

Those party nights are where the drinks flow and the hot tub flirting gets a little steamy. In an early episode, Propson made easy work of chugging a beer with a fellow member of the crew. Credit his roots.

“That’s definitely a muscle I have worked out before in Wisconsin,” he said, laughing. “Lots of time on the practice field.”

The dynamic of interacting with his crew mates in the close confines of a sailing yacht for reality TV was interesting.

“All I can really say is that you get close really fast. You get to know these folks really, really quickly, which is both a blessing and a curse. It’s tight quarters. It’s intense, hard work so you see the best side of people and you definitely see the worst side of people at times as well," he said. "But what’s really I think pretty beautiful about the whole process is that you all have the same goal.”

It's Shephard’s patience and cool demeanor that keep things humming on Parsifal III, Propson said, even when serious situations like engine failures pop up. He and the captain were bunkmates, so he got to know him well and appreciate his many stories from sailing around the world.

"Just an incredible man," Propson said.

He lives a low-key life in Florida, but 'new opportunities' are ahead

Propson, who lives in south Florida, has made friends from the show he expects will last a lifetime. It has been fun to reconnect with people back in Wisconsin he hasn’t talked with in years who were surprised to see him turn up on TV.

“Sometimes you forget how cool it is what you’re doing, and it’s nice that I have tethers to Wisconsin and to the ground that kind of remind me of just how amazing these opportunities really are and remind you to stay present in what you’re doing.”

Being on the show has landed him some “new opportunities” he’s excited about but has not yet revealed. So far, with exception of a few more flights, life hasn’t changed much since his newfound fame.

“I live a pretty low-key lifestyle, and I think it’s going to stay that way, or at least I hope so.”

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Star Alex Propson Joins Winter House Season 3

By Varsha Narayanan

Alex Propson is digging deep into his reality TV career. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht deckhand confirmed that he will make his appearance on another Bravo show – in the upcoming season of Winter House . Given he wasn’t allowed a chance to have much fun on Parsifal, I’m excited!

Alex first confirmed the news to host Andy Cohen on the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 reunion. He then posted the big reveal on his Instagram story, making it official. The deckhand will be seen dealing with an entirely different world than he’s used to. We can’t wait to see him adapt and potentially form some connections.

Alex Propson isn’t the only one from the Below Deck universe

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Malia White (@maliakpwhite)

It’s safe to say that Alex will not be alone dealing with uncharted waters on Winter House. He will be accompanied by fellow yachties and Below Deck Mediterranean alums Katie Flood and Malia White . The deckhand shared pictures with the two ladies on his Instagram story. Many assumed this confirmed their appearance on the next season of Winter House.

Given that Katie and Malia have long been away from the franchise, it will be interesting to see how all the yachties fare. This is an entirely different show, with a unique concept. It had previously been confirmed that Alex was spotted in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where Winter House was filmed. Safe to say, we’ll see the yachties have some much-needed fun!

Winter House debuted in 2021 and saw stars from various other Bravo series. They included Summer House , Southern Charm and even Vanderpump Rules (Tom-Tom making their appearance was the highlight of Season 2).

Entertainment Tonight reported in March 2023 that Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz’s appearance had been put on hold. This, because of the Scandoval that shook an entire nation. Reportedly, producers were trying to add new cast members as well as looking to bring some previous debutants full-time.

We wouldn’t want to see the Toms on our screens so soon. We’re still reeling from the mammoth effect the affair had on us! Let them stick to their home ground, and let’s see what Alex and his fellow yachties can bring.

Alex’s personality wasn’t highlighted enough on Sailing Yacht, (except his platonic connection with stew Mads Herrera ). So, it’ll be interesting to see what he brings here.

Although a complete cast list is yet to be released, we know Alex will have some company. He’ll be joined by Summer House stars Kyle Cooke , Amanda Batula , and Danielle Olivera .

This ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Deckhand Seems to Be Making Other Bravo Stars Thirsty

PUBLISHED Apr. 10 2023, 5:15 p.m. ET

With Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 setting sail on Monday, April 10, viewers will scope out a new cast member: Alex Propson is one of the new deckhands joining the crew aboard the Parsifal III as the sailboat tours around Sardinia.

And he’ll be around for what Bravo calls “the most captivating and unpredictable season” the reality show has aired so far — with “a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury, and two different potentially season-ending engine failures” dashing any hope of smooth sailing!

Alex Propson is a new deckhand of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht.'

He may be a deckhand on the Bravo show, but Alex can also captain his own vessel. According to his Instagram profile, this “Nauti Man” from South Florida is a USCG 100T Captain, meaning he’s licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard to captain a 100-ton boat.

You might not see Alex manning the helm much in Below Deck Sailing Yacht , though. On Instagram, he posted photos of himself at the wheel of a sailboat , saying those pics were taken “in the five minutes I was trusted to drive so [ Capt. Glenn Shephard ] could eat lunch.”

Alex’s Bravo profile , meanwhile, notes that the Wisconsin native got started in yachting while spending time in Los Angeles, and after getting his captain’s license, he worked as a deckhand in Florida. The bio adds that Alex previously worked in sales but changed careers mid-pandemic.

Aside from yachting, he also enjoys yoga, basketball, and diving, Bravo says. And he seems to be an avid traveler: In August and September 2022, he posted Instagram pictures from Turkey, Greece, and Thailand.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Capt. Alex Propson (@alexpropson)

Alex Propson is reportedly joining the cast of ‘Winter House,’ too — and other Bravo stars are taking notice.

In March, the fan account @bravobygays reported that Alex is also joining Season 3 of the Bravo reality show Winter House . And other Bravolebrities seemed to approve of that news — and the shirtless photo of Alex that @bravobygays posted.

“Oh my god,” Real Girlfriends in Paris star Adja Toure wrote in a comment . In another comment, Adja added , “Put me on Winter House right now.”

Julia McGuire, who stars on Winter House herself, commented , “Okkkkkkkkk.”

And Katie Maloney of Vanderpump Rules commented , “Excuse me?!?!”

Page Six reported at the time that Alex traveled to Steamboat Springs, Colo., at the same time Winter House was filming there. Plus, Kyle Cooke and Tom Schwartz — two other reality stars believed to be appearing in Winter House Season 3 — followed Alex on Instagram, per Page Six . So it seems Alex really will appear in that Summer House spinoff!

But in the meantime, Alex and the rest of the ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ stars are navigating a lot of drama.

A Bravo synopsis teases the intense storylines to come in Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Capt. Glenn, for example, wrangles control of the interior department, and chef Ileisha Dell self-destructs amid time management issues.

Above deck, meanwhile, first mate Gary King clashes with new deckhand Chase Lemacks , and “two overlapping love triangles” and a “shocking hookup” just add to the drama.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 premieres Monday, April 10, at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.

Who is Alex Propson?

Alex Propson, the 34-year-old deckhand on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 4, is making waves in the world of reality TV. Originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, Alex grew up in his hometown, attending school there until he went on to pursue higher education at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh. Following his graduation, he landed his first job as a Sales Manager at Xperience Fitness, where he honed his business skills for eight years.

Despite finding success in the corporate world, Alex never forgot his lifelong dream of sailing the open sea. His passion for adventure and exploration never waned, and when the Covid pandemic hit, it presented him with an opportunity to make his dream a reality. He made the bold decision to move to South Florida to pursue a career in yachting and it paid off. Within a short period, he made significant strides in the industry and even received his captain's license.

This year has been a significant milestone for Alex as he was selected for two back-to-back reality TV series -- 'Winter House' and 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'. With the season premiere of the latter still weeks away, Alex is already creating a stir, especially among his female fans, who are fawning over his rugged good looks.

Alex's Instagram posts reveal his love for the great outdoors, particularly the vast expanse of the ocean. He frequently posts pictures of himself sailing, fishing, and exploring various beaches and waterfalls. But it's not just his love for adventure that shines through on his social media. Alex is also a doting pet parent to his Dalmatian dog named Mali. He takes her everywhere, and his Instagram feed is littered with photos of the two of them embarking on all sorts of crazy adventures together.

With his rugged good looks, love for adventure, and charming personality, Alex seems tailor-made for reality TV. Fans can't wait to see what he brings to the table on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 4. One thing is for sure -- he's already capturing hearts and minds and his stardom is set to rise even higher. So, fasten your lifejackets and get ready for an exciting adventure with Alex and the rest of the crew on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 4.

Alex Propson wants 'hot boy European summer'

Alex's presence on board the luxurious yacht is making waves and it's not just because of his impressive sailing skills. From the moment he stepped on deck, he's been turning heads with his charming personality and good looks. In fact, some of the ladies on the show have been swooning over him since day one. It's not hard to see why, with his chiseled jawline, piercing blue eyes, and curly hair that seems to have a life of its own. In the trailer, Alex is seen living his best life, enjoying the company of beautiful women and sipping on champagne. In one memorable scene, he's caught kissing a woman in the classic 'Lady and The Tramp' style as they share a strand of spaghetti. The moment is sweet and romantic but also a bit cheesy -- a perfect reflection of Alex's playful and carefree personality. However, Alex's antics on the yacht aren't always so cute and charming.

In another scene from the trailer, he's seen stumbling down the stairs on deck, clutching several champagne bottles in his hands. It's clear that he's had a bit too much to drink, and his drunken behavior raises concerns among the crew.  Alex has his eye on only one goal -- a "hot boy European summer". It's clear that he's ambitious and driven, and he's not content to simply coast through life. His passion for adventure and exploration is infectious, and it's easy to see why he's such a popular figure on the yacht.

As the trailer unfolds, it's clear that Alex is going to be a major player in the drama and excitement that's about to unfold. His good looks and charming personality are sure to turn heads. His adventures and misadventures on the yacht are sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Whether he's living it up with the ladies, taking a tumble down the stairs, or pursuing his dreams of a European summer, Alex is a force to be reckoned with and we can't wait to see what he'll do next.

What to expect from ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 4?

Prepare to set sail on a thrilling adventure filled with boatmances, nudity, injuries, and other calamities aboard the multi-million dollar luxury charter yachts of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'. With so much excitement in store, it's no wonder viewers around the world are eagerly anticipating the fourth season of this captivating reality TV franchise.

Captain Glenn Shepard returns to the helm, but this time, he's taking charge of the interior department, much to the dismay of Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher. With his laid-back leadership style in question, Captain Glenn is determined to ensure that every aspect of the charter guests' experience is top-notch, down to the last 5 percent. Adding to the intrigue is the arrival of a new chef, Ileisha Dell, whose culinary skills impress the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, ultimately causing her to self-destruct.

On deck, tensions rise as strong personalities collide, resulting in a power struggle and a near mutiny as First Mate Gary King clashes with his overconfident new deckhand Chase. But it's not just about power struggles, as love (and lots of it) is also in the air, with two overlapping love triangles further complicating the dynamics on board. And a shocking hookup puts the friendship of Colin MacRae, Daisy, and Gary in jeopardy. But the drama doesn't end there. This season promises a tidal wave of ups and downs, including a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury, and not one but two potentially season-ending engine failures.

With so many twists and turns, the fourth season of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' is sure to be the most captivating and unpredictable yet. So, hoist the sails and get ready to embark on a thrilling journey unlike any other.

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Below Deck Loses 2 Crewmembers After a Firing and a Dramatic Season 11 Departure

Below deck 's capt. kerry titheradge fired the first season 11 yachtie during the bravo series' march 18 episode, but that wasn't the only shocking departure. find out who else left the yacht..

The  St. David  is down not one, but two crewmembers.

During Below Deck 's March 18 episode, Captain Kerry Titheradge  fired the first season 11 yachtie when he let Bosun Jared Woodin go for unprofessional behavior, the last straw being an inebriated Jared barging into Stew Barbie Pascual 's cabin the night prior and yelling at Deckhand Kyle Stillie for leaving a mess of loose tobacco on the deck after a night of partying.

"This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior," Kerry told his subordinate. "You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guy is not acceptable."

But it wasn't just the alcohol that was the problem, as Kerry noted Jared's mental state wasn't where it needed to be. "You've got s--t going on, man," he shared. "You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

However, Jared agreed his head wasn't in the right place and accepted his termination graciously.

"This ain't the right place for me at the right time," Jared replied, to which Kerry responded, "I don't blame you for that. Take this time and work on yourself. Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Before departing the super-yacht, Jared reflected in a confessional, "I thought I was in a good headspace coming into this. I'm really not. And as much as I'd like to be I'm just lying to myself."

But Jared wasn't the only teammate to set sail during the latest episode. Stew Cat Baugh willingly left the ship after admittedly struggling with the job all season long.

"I really wanna push through for you guys," Cat, in tears, told Chief Stew Fraser Olender after receiving a very distressing call from a friend back home in America. "I'm just losing my mind right now."

And Fraser totally understood his crewmember's needs.

"If you're in a very unhappy place," he told her, "I'd rather you put your health and your mental health before that and we get you the help you need as soon as we can."

In a confessional, Fraser elaborated, "I don't know what is going on, but you can look into someone's eyes sometimes and see that there is no more that they can give. They are going through enough to be incapable and I need to do what's right for her. "

See how the crew copes with the unexpected departures when Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And keep reading to look back at the most shocking Below Deck firings ever.

If there's one thing to learn from Camille Lamb 's Below Deck firing, it's to not slack off on the job. That's exactly why the season 10 stew was let go by substitute Captain Sandy Yawn , as Chief Stew Fraser Olender continued to criticize Camille's behavior on board.

From being caught drinking while preparing for a new charter to partying at late hours and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his "last straw."

"She's the common denominator in all of this," said Captain Sandy. "Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Below Deck Adventure 's Kyle Dickard was let go just three episodes into the reality franchise's latest series—which premiered in November 2022. After picking fights with his fellow deckhand Nathan Morley —as well as kissing crew mates in front of guests—Kyle was offered by Captain Kerry Titheradge the opportunity to resign so that his firing would not end up on his personal record.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

Captain Sandy let bosun Raygan Tyler go during season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean ,  not only for causing the boat to  take a small hit while docking, but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.

But Captain Sandy didn't want her firing to discourage the bosun, as she told Raygan, "If I had the time and I wasn't running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you."

In addition to onboard romances and failing to follow directions , one of the biggest reasons behind stew Elizabeth Frankini 's Below Deck firing was her infamous laundry room accident , during which made a toxic mess when combining bleach and laundry soap.

"Unfortunately, I didn't know that was so toxic and I feel so bad about it," she told E! News of the incident in December 2020 . "You know, I do feel really bad, especially 'cause Francesca [ Rubi ] did say, 'Take it outside.'"

The bosun and stew were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with their fellow yachties.

Luke Jones was let go after getting into Stew Margot Sisson 's bed naked while she was drunk and unconscious. Laura Bileskaine also made unwanted advances on Deckhand Adam Kodra despite him telling her he was not interested in hooking up.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea came to a head during an explosive dinner fight on season six of Below Deck Mediterranean , during which Lexi told Matt that his parents "should've aborted you." That was the last straw for Captain Sandy, who fired her not long after the incident.

Deckhand Tom Pearson said "bon voyage" to Below Deck Sailing Yacht after getting let go by Captain Glenn Shephard . Tom hit his last strike with the Captain after failing to report that the boat's anchor was dragging during heavy winds one night, causing a potential safety risk for everyone on board.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Captain Glenn said of the decision  on Watch What Happens Live. "So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen."

Some people are picky eaters, but Below Deck Down Under' s Ryan McKeown was quite the picky chef, as he would judge guests'  food requests  and fail to take  criticism from Captain Jason Chambers , as well.

Perhaps Ryan's Below Deck exit is one of the franchise's most memorable, as he mooned Jason and viewers on his way off the boat.

Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek 's firing was another case of slacking on the job. After constantly being on her phone texting or video chatting with her boyfriend, Chief Stew Aesha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Peter Hunziker was fired from the series in June 2020 after he shared an offensive post on social media.

"Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post," Bravo wrote in a statement at the time. "Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes."

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was let go by Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean after boson Malia White discovered her co-star possessed undeclared Valium and a vape pen, the former of which Hannah claimed was for her anxiety.

"If I could do it all over again, I would've just declared them as soon as I came on board," Hannah stated in an August 2020 interview with E! News. "It was definitely not something that was intentional. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Delaney Evans left just as quickly as she arrived. After initially being brought on during season six to help out Chief Stew Katie Flood , Katie determined that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one charter.

"I think she was overwhelmed with the situation, and I think that, you know, in her mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to what they had before," Delaney told Bravo Insider of Katie's decision. "I think she was just overwhelmed with everything that was going on and all the feedback she was getting."

Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit in over his head on season eight of Below Deck , as he was let go for failing to know basic skills, reporting late for duty and taking naps on the job.

Chaos in the kitchen led to Captain Lee Rosbach letting Chef Leon Walker go on season three of Below Deck . After an oven fire broke out , Lee placed the blame on Chief Stew Kate Chastain but was ultimately the one sent home.

Like several of the franchise's stars, Below Deck 's Chris Brown  was fired  during season five for failing to fully perform his duties. After being let go by Captain Lee, Chris shared some parting words as he left the boat, stating , "Who gives a s--t?"

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was fired by Captain Sandy on season four of Below Deck Mediterranean after failing to use her cooking skills to produce top-quality food for guests—including some not-so-nice nachos .

"Of course it makes me feel awful," Mila said of her departure . "People like me who have big egos sometimes have to be put down to earth a little bit. But it makes me feel like I want to work even harder."

Sometimes people just don't work well together. That's exactly why Captain Lee fired Chandler Brooks during season six of Below Deck , telling the boson, "I don't think it's a good fit."

Captain Jason Chambers shares update on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, asks fans for help

Captain Jason Chambers on Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason Chambers has given an update on Below Deck Down Under Season 3 while asking fans for some help.

Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under was a mega-hit for the latest Below Deck spin-off.

Below Deck Med Season 9 and Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, were also announced at the same time.

However, unlike the other Below Deck shows, Below Deck Down Under Season 3 hadn’t been filmed when news of the renewal broke.

Months later, fans anxiously await news on when Captain Jason and his trusty side-kick Chief Stew Aesha Scott will be back.

Captain Jason Chambers shares Below Deck Down Under Season 3 update

It seems that Captain Jason, too, is getting antsy waiting for more news on the upcoming season of his hit-yachting show. Last December, the hunky captain admitted the next installment of Below Deck Down Under had yet to be filmed.

According to Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, Below Deck Down Under Season 3 was filming earlier this month.

The other day, Captain Jason took to Instagram to express his readiness for Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under to hit Bravo airwaves.

“Anyone else excited for Season 3 of BDDU?” he wrote alongside a video featuring highlights from Season 2.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jason Chambers (@captainjchambers)

The comments section of Captain Jason’s IG post was filled with fans asking about the show, prompting him to ask for help.

Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason Chambers asks fans for help

While the hunky captain didn’t spill any filming details or even confirm the season was in the can, he did have some information to drop.

One user wanted to know when Below Deck Down Under would start. There was a response from Above Deck Podcast that the show was currently filming, and then Captain Jason chimed in.

“Talk is this year 🤔 Lets shout out and tell @belowdeckbravo how much we want this…” was his response.

Captain Jason fan help

When more users asked about a premiere date, Captain Jason again encouraged them to reach out to Bravo to let the network know how much fans want the show back on air.

The captain reiterated his hope it would be soon because he thinks “we need another BDDU on our screens soon.” We have to agree with Captain Jason, too!

BDU fans reply to Captain Jason's IG post

Other fans opened up about missing the show, as one user thought the video was a trailer for the new season.

“I know it’s way too long for us all, but let’s bring some good memories back so people ( Bravo) don’t forget we had a good season..,” the captain replied.

It was also brought up that Below Deck Med is on all the time and questioned if Below Deck Down Under isn’t good enough. Captain Jason popped up to explain he loves being an underdog, but a new season is needed immediately.

Captain Jason teases BDU Season 3

There’s no question that Captain Jason is rallying the troops to get Below Deck Down Under Season 3 on Bravo ASAP.

One of his responses, though, has us worried it won’t be until next year as he commented, “One every two years is just too long.”

Captain Jason BDU comments

Captain Jason Chambers and Below Deck Down Under fans want the show back on Bravo.

Unfortunately, the earliest it would air is late next fall. As Monsters and Critics previously reported, the Below Deck Season 11 mid-season trailer just dropped, so it’s only at the halfway point.

That means Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 won’t air until June, and Below Deck Med Season 9 will likely follow sometime in the early fall. Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under should air after those two Below Deck spin-offs wrap.

If Bravo decides to double up episodes, it could make way for Below Deck Down Under Season 3 earlier, but we haven’t heard a peep about that yet.

Below Deck Down Under is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-2 are streaming on Peacock.

BDDU needs to start filming ASAP. I and everyone need more of this great show.

Below Deck: Dylan’s Photo With Cat Baugh Raises Questions About When He Became New Deckhand

  • Captain Kerry fired Jared Woodin in Below Deck season 11, and Dylan joined as the third Deckhand in episode 8.
  • Dylan recently shared a picture with Cat Baugh on Instagram Story, sparking confusion that she may have quit after his arrival.
  • Producers may have altered the timeline to create a better storyline, leaving fans to wonder what could have been with Dylan and Cat's friendship.

Below Deck star Dylan Pierre De Villiers’ photo with former cast member Cat Baugh creates confusion. Season 11 of the Bravo series has been quite interesting. It featured a new crew and various dramatic feuds. Most recently, the show reached its high point when Captain Kerry Titheradge let go of his Bosun. He fired Jared Woodin to give him time to fix his family issues. After Jared’s exit in episode 7, Captain Kerry made his Lead Deckhand, Ben Willoughby, the new Bosun. He then called Dylan to fill in and made him the third Deckhand.

Dylan joined Below Deck season 11 in episode 8. However, one of his recent pictures with Cat hints that producers may have altered the season’s timeline. In March 2024, Dylan posted a few Instagram Stories showing fans his best moments with the crew. One photo showed him beside the former Stew Cat, who left the boat before Dylan’s debut . Cat was a big part of Below Deck season 11. However, she couldn’t find her place on the yacht and decided to leave in episode 7. Dylan’s new photo hints that Cat may have quit after he joined the crew.

Why is dylan replacing jared woodin on below deck, captain kerry noticed that jared was unable to focus on his job.

Below Deck season 11 has featured many dramatic moments already. The season has been full of memorable scenes, like Barbie Pascual’s explosive rivalry with Fraser Olender and Ben’s surprising boatmance with Marie “Sunny” Marquis. However, the most unexpected moment didn’t happen until episode 7. It wasn’t until Captain Kerry realized that Jared was too distracted because of his daughter and wasn’t performing well . Captain Kerry made the right decision by letting Jared go and promoting Ben as the new Bosun. Since Ben’s sudden promotion left the crew with only two Deckhands, the Captain invited Dylan to take over the responsibility.

Dylan meeting Cat may not make sense, but it likely happened behind the scenes. Producers often try to give viewers a good storyline that’s easy to grasp and enjoy.

However, real events can be confusing and may not fit the show’s format well.

Dylan may have joined when Cat was still on the boat. However, the producers may have cut some of those scenes , so fans only focused on what was important. Jared and Cat’s exit was the center of discussion in episode 7. Therefore, producers may have felt that bringing Dylan later made more sense to the audience.

Dylan and Cat’s friendship would’ve been fun to watch. Cat always felt like she never belonged on the boat and quit the season amid her feud with Barbie. However, things may have turned out differently if Dylan and Cat had spent more time together . The third Deckhand and the former stew looked happy in their recent photo together. Dylan even called Cat an amazing human, hinting he was looking up to her. Viewers could’ve witnessed their friendship flourish if Cat hadn’t left the boat in Below Deck season 11, episode 7.

What Dylan Could Learn From Cat’s Exit

Dylan should focus on work & also build camaraderie with the crew.

While Cat has quit the show, Dylan can still learn much from her. The 24-year-old Cape Town resident is fairly new to the yacht, so he has the chance not to repeat Cat’s mistakes, which ultimately led to her departure. The former Stew’s biggest problem was her inability to bond with other crew members. Her constant fights with Barbie didn’t help either. If Dylan wants to make an impact on Below Deck and become Captain Kerry’s favorite, he must try to find his place on the yacht. He should have fun, build new relationships, and focus on his work.

9 Below Deck Franchise Deckhands Who Came Off As Lazy

What cat & dylan’s social media tells about their friendship, cat & dylan have become fast friends online.

Dylan and Cat’s social media activities suggest they’re still friends and support each other. While the former Stew is no longer on the show, she likes Dylan’s new photos and some old ones. Recently, she double-tapped on Dylan ’s weight-loss transformation post, where he flaunted his muscular body. The Deckhand is also returning the favor by liking Cat’s posts. The two crew members still follow each other on social media , suggesting they’re in touch. It’ll be interesting to see if Cat also posts a picture with Dylan sometime in the future.

Will Dylan & Cat Reunite?

Dylan & cat might return to another below deck spin-off.

Dylan and Cat didn’t get enough time to showcase their working relationship on Below Deck . However, the ship hasn’t sailed for a future reunion yet.

Cat may have left Below Deck but is still in the yachting business. Similarly, Dylan is thriving and seems like a skilled worker.

Cat and Dylan may run into each other sometime in the future. They may end up on the same spin-off, allowing them to impress viewers with their friendship and personal growth. Crew members often reunite in Below Deck . In 2023, Aesha Scott worked with João Franco, which helped them resolve past issues.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.

Below Deck Recap: Vibe Time

below deck yacht alex

Physics tells us that drama can be neither created nor destroyed. (At least, that was my personal takeaway.) Now that Cat’s gone, it’s like the tension she had with the rest of the interior re-homed itself between Xandi, who has worked almost unceasingly all day, and Barbie, who just needs a sec to lie down and puff on her vape, all right?

Don’t get me wrong: Carriacou looks very nice, but the way the captain has talked about the island for the last episode and a half now had me expecting to take one look at the place, sell all my earthly possessions, buy a one-way plane ticket, and throw myself into my new life as soon as possible. As it is — I think I’m good, thank you. The beach is hard to access, with a strong current in the shallows. While the guests are happily snorkeling and drinking, Kerry and Ben are having a capital-B Bad time. The boat is making an upsettingly crunchy grinding noise thanks to sand getting into the impeller. Fraser, wisely, just keeps on refilling everyone’s Champagne glasses.

Sunset is turning to dark and a storm is blowing in. Captain Kerry makes the call: They need to go back, now. If the boat gets beached, they’ll be stranded overnight. Pretty sure I already saw that episode when it was theatrically released under the title Triangle of Sadness. But getting everyone aboard is not trivial — they have to time it right with the increasingly serious waves rolling in. Lesley, the primary, sort of just launches herself at the stern, prompting Kerry to yell, “No one moves toward the boat till I say so!” That’s the harshest I’ve ever heard him speak to a guest, though it certainly feels justified. Can you do everybody a favor and stay alive, please, at least through the length of the charter?

They make it back to the St. David without any casualties. But there will be a death on the yacht tonight. A murder, in fact. While the guests eat dinner and practice the vaguely British accents that for some reason always feel appropriate for an ambiguously period-y murder mystery (more accurately, they sound like sixth-graders cast as grown-ups in a school play, just sort of speaking more loudly and slowly than usual), the already-understaffed exterior scrambles to ad lib a series of staged clues, with the help of a bunch of random props that Fraser has ordered. The job description for deckhands has expanded considerably.

That’s not to say the interior isn’t doing their part, too. The game begins when Barbie runs into the dining room in a frenzy, screaming, “There’s been a murder!” She is so committed to the bit that she immediately falls over and exposes her whole butt. It is a very auspicious start to the festivities. Fraser is the evening’s Mr. Boddy, our designated corpse. “It’s Fletcher !” someone screams when they come upon him in the stateroom, not far from the murder weapon (a pizza roller).

The clues, (semi-)rhyming couplets, send the guests running all over the boat and they absolutely love it. The crew crushed this — as Ben points out, it’s also helpful that these people are pretty drunk.

What Anthony has in charm he lacks in organizational skills. The galley is even more of a war zone than usual, scattered with eggs (as always, so many eggs; beginning to believe that the yacht’s engine runs on crushed shells), various sauces and condiments (including at least two separate bottles of ketchup), a dirty blender, and more pots and pans than I would have thought were on the boat in total. It takes him until after 3 a.m. to finish cleaning up. Predictably, the next morning, he is totally exhausted. Fraser has to rise to the occasion and actually come up with a breakfast menu, a new responsibility he isn’t thrilled to take on. (Also, I feel like I never comment on the tablescapes except to rag on them, but I actually really like the bright-orange-rimmed plates combined with those swirly green vertical napkins. Go team!)

Our new deckhand finally arrives, birthed from the sea foam like Aphrodite. Dylan, a 23-year-old from Cape Town, has one of the widest smiles possible amid the constraints of human biology and is so hot that he immediately threatens to disrupt the established sexual ecosystem of the boat. He is also, I say this with affection, a complete weirdo. A formerly overweight kid who became extremely fit out of spite, he can now individually pop his pecs, which are named James and Barry. (Why? I assume we will never know.) He also speaks of his fondness for high-fiving strangers while out running. “They won’t understand any of it,” he says. “But they will remember you.” This is precisely how I already feel about Dylan.

Ben’s first docking as bosun goes off beautifully, even in the unwelcome presence of a big-ass cargo ship; I cannot parallel park under the best of terrestrial circumstances, so these people never fail to amaze me. Lesley says a very emotional and grateful good-bye and hands over what looks like a commensurately thick envelope. She tipped $30,000, which works out to a very healthy $2,725 per person (and a prorated $550 for Dylan). Captain Kerry is pleased with their work — A+ charter all around.

Dylan continues to distinguish himself on his first night out with his new co-workers. He tries to convince Kyle to take a shot via his nostril. He explains his theory that déjà vu is just, duh, memories we’ve lived on another of the many timelines we are currently experiencing. “It’s vibe time, baby!” he will later shout on the dance floor. “Vibe time is my time!” (In a confessional, Sunny and Barbie rate him a great potential one-night stand, as long as he doesn’t talk.)

While Kyle helpfully sucks a bug out of Fraser’s drink, and Dylan and Anthony stake their romantic claims on the replacement stew who has not even arrived yet, Ben spends time with Xandi. They’ve gotten a lot closer — she introduced him to her mom on FaceTime as her brother earlier that day. While they’re all out dancing, they hug and they whisper and Ben touches her waist. Sunny is deeply upset when she oversees these interactions, which, by the way, are scored hilariously to a club remix of the “Ride of the Valkyries.”

Was it sort of flirty, touchy-feely? Sure. This is Mr. “ I’m Cheeky, I’m Aussie, It’s Charismatic ” we’re dealing with, after all. But I believe Ben and especially Xandi when they say their relationship is platonic. Everyone knows what jealousy feels like, and it is a certified no-fun experience, so it’s not that I don’t feel for Sunny. But I will note that she recently shared in a confessional that the last time she was in love, she wasn’t actually in a relationship with the person — which, with admittedly zero additional context, does raise some question marks for me surrounding boundaries and expectations. She says Ben is “disrespecting what we have,” which raises the question: What do they have, exactly? Is he her boyfriend? Have they established if they’re dating exclusively? Do they have a clear understanding of what kinds of behaviors are and aren’t okay with the other person?

In happier news, Kyle and Fraser smooch on the van ride home.

Back on the boat, Barbie and Fraser slurringly try to smooth things over with all parties involved, to mixed success. I give Sunny credit for going to Ben directly to share her feelings. For her part, Xandi totally dismisses any possible romantic connection with Ben, because that would be “incestry [ sic ].” But she quickly gets pissed off at the thought that she’d be expected to change how she acts to protect someone else’s self-esteem. “Catch me outside,” she snaps, a phrase I do not believe I’ve heard a human being say aloud since at least 2018.

Screen Rant

8 below deck stews who never listened to their chief stews.

Some Below Deck Stews have shown such disrespect for the hierarchy and irresponsible behavior that they had to be removed from the yacht.

  • Some Below Deck cast members, like Tom Pearson and Leon Walker, were uncooperative and were fired for their bad behavior.
  • Alissa Humber, June Foster, and Magda Ziomek were difficult stews and disrespected their Chief Stews, leading to their eventual dismissal from the crew.
  • Camille Lamb, Lexi Wilson, and Elizabeth Frankini were other Stews who caused drama and were eventually let go for their actions.

Below Deck has featured many uncooperative cast members over the years, a few of whom have been Stews. The Bravo series allows many new faces to showcase their personality on reality TV every year. Some leave a mark, while others become known for being the worst cast members ever. Tom Pearson from Below Deck Sailing Yacht was one such example. The former Deckhand was mean to Ashley Marti and Gary King. He was also immature and had too much alcohol on the boat. Therefore, Captain Glenn Shephard fired Tom, ensuring his crew on Parsifal III remained peaceful and friendly.

Leon Walker from Below Deck season 3 was also unsuitable for his job. The private Chef joined the Bravo series to showcase his culinary skills. However, he messed up badly and never admitted his mistakes. One episode showed Leon starting a fire in the galley . He blamed the greasy pans for his error and kept lying until the end, pushing Captain Lee Rosbach to fire him. Unfortunately, not all bad crew members get sacked for their actions. Some get another chance to prove themselves. A few examples include Kyle Viljoen, Natalya Scudder, and Tumi Mhlongo.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

8 alissa humber, below deck season 10.

Stews are a crucial part of luxury yachts. They take care of the guests and ensure everyone is happy. Sadly, not all Stews are good at their jobs. Some, like Alissa Humber, are bad and don’t listen to their seniors. When Alissa debuted in the series , she portrayed herself as a skilled worker. However, it didn’t take long for Stew to show her true colors and become disrespectful towards her seniors. Apart from acting superior to others, Alissa argued with her co-star, Camille Lamb .

The drama between Alissa and Camille didn’t conclude quickly enough. The Captain and Chief Stew Fraser Olender got tired of both of them. At one point, Alissa even referred to Captain Sandy Yawn by her first name, which was unacceptable. Ultimately, the Captain had to let Camille and Alissa go due to their disrespectful behaviors. As per a Q&A session (via Bravo ), Fraser discussed the situation and let fans know his opinion of Alissa and Camille’s feud.

Fraser said, “I saw the fighting as quite childish.”

7 Raquel “Rocky” Dakota

Below deck season 3.

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota was also a disobedient worker. The Californian woman concluded the season without strikes but crossed the line numerous times. At one point, she stripped down and tried to board another yacht. On another occasion, she complained about her Chief Stew’s orders and her work. The rivalry between Rocky and her Chief Stew Kate Chastain didn’t end with the season. When the two ladies reunited at Watch What Happens Live , they made harsh comments about each other. Kate told Rocky she wasn’t “the best yachtie.”

Many viewers also despised Rocky a lot. Per a Reddit thread, kresbok , the junior Stew is “obnoxious,” “ridiculous, coddled,” and an attention seeker.

Someone wrote, “her work ethic had me begging Captain Lee to fire her,” adding that Rocky’s behavior is simply unacceptable.

Another Reddit user commented, “between Leon and Rocky, I think this was the season that broke Kate.” Fans are right to think that Below Deck season 3 was the toughest one for the former Chief Stew.

9 Below Deck Franchise Deckhands Who Came Off As Lazy

6 june foster, below deck mediterranean season 4.

June Foster never listened to her Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier or other seniors in Below Deck Mediterranean season 4. Captain Sandy hired her to replace Anastasia Surmava. However, she soon realized she had made a big mistake and fired her. June was never a good addition to the crew. On top of that, she had behavioral problems, which became evident when she got angry at Captain Sandy for letting her go. One of June’s worst habits was her lack of concern for Chief Stew’s orders .

During June’s stint on Below Deck , viewers noticed that she purposely chose not to answer Chief Stew, Hannah, on the radio . She ignored her and made new excuses for not responding to her. Hannah even took to X to share her opinion of June.

Hannah wrote, “‘maybe I can’t understand my name’ is by far my favorite excuse in 4 seasons of #belowdeckmed.”

The worst part about June’s careless attitude was that she didn’t see her fault. She simply wanted people to leave her alone.

5 Magda Ziomek

Below deck down under season 1 & 2.

Magda Ziomek from Below Deck Down Under season 1 was another bad stew who got herself fired. The Polish native was too occupied with having fun on the yacht to care about other things. She was also very busy texting her long-distance boyfriend rather than finishing tasks on the yacht. Magda was so terrible at her job that Aesha Scott went out of her way to fire her. The Chief Stew couldn’t handle her third Stew’s lack of concern for her duties like laundry and service.

Aesha had to fire Magda because keeping her in the boat hurt her reputation as the Chief Stew. Since she was responsible for managing all the Stews, the burden of all the complaints fell on her shoulders. In one instance, Captain Jason Chambers noticed how the laundry room was a mess . He later complained that Magda used most of the boat’s limited internet data. If Aesha had let Magda stay on the yacht, it wouldn’t have bode well for her.

What Happened To Captain Mark Howard After Below Deck Mediterranean Season 1?

4 elizabeth frankini, below deck season 8.

Elizabeth Frankini initially looked like a hardworking Stew. However, she showed her real personality during the episodes, which led Chief Stew Francesca Rubi to fire her. Elizabeth started treating her work too lightly. Apart from flirting with Deckhand, James Hough, she crossed the line by sleeping in the guest cabin on her night off. She didn’t seek permission from the Captain or ask Francesca beforehand. Chief Stew ultimately got fed up with Elizabeth’s lack of concern and told the Captain, “there are too many slip-ups. There’s just too many.”

Francesca wanted Captain Lee to fire Elizabeth , but that didn’t happen. Instead, the Captain allowed Chief Stew to make the call and give her full control over Elizabeth’s fate. Even though the season was nearing its end, Francesca chose to teach her Polish co-worker a lesson.

Francesca told Elizabeth, “I’ve come to sort of a decision. We’re gonna have to let you go.”

Unfortunately, Elizabeth didn’t learn her lesson. She appeared in the Below Deck season 8 reunion and called her former Chief Stew a “bully.”

3 Laura Bileskaline

Below deck down under season 2.

Laura Bileskaline had a short stint in Below Deck Down Under . Despite that, she became quite a controversial cast member after crossing a few lines. The Latvia resident was extremely inappropriate throughout her 7-episode run. She lacked respect for everyone and wanted to get lucky with Adam Kodra. Eventually, Laura did the unthinkable when she went into Deckhand’s cabin and massaged his back. This action led Captain Jason to fire her immediately.

Aesha also had a huge problem with Laura. Chief Stew revealed some spicy details from her unaired conversation with her junior a few months ago.

Aesha said (via L A Times ), “I did actually have a conversation with Laura about pulling back a bit [with Adam].”

Aesha also shared that she was shocked to see how far Laura pushed it . Unfortunately, Laura didn’t listen to Chief Stew’s advice, ultimately leading to her departure from Below Deck Down Under .

2 Camille Lamb

Camille Lamb’s personality impacted the whole crew. Her feud with Alissa is still among the wildest fights in Below Deck ’s history. The former Stew’s biggest issue was acting like a princess and coming across as self-centered. At one point in Below Deck season 10, she complained about her job and felt she was working twice as much as everyone else on the boat .

Camille was known for her lack of interest in being the Stew. She treated her job as if she was out to enjoy a cruise trip. She napped in the deck area and went swimming without care. Ultimately, Chief Stew Fraser had to fire her. While talking to ET , Fraser revealed he was “glad” that he let Camille go before it was too late.

Fraser added, “truth be told, she was just making everything harder.”

1 Lexi Wilson

Below deck mediterranean season 6.

Lexi Wilson had the energy to be a great Stew if she wanted to. Unfortunately, she dropped the ball by getting into fights and being irresponsible. At one point, the Bahamas native got drunk and ranted unnecessarily. She argued with everyone, including Deckhand Mzi “Zee” Dempers. Chief Stew Katie Flood later talked to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live and revealed what happened on the boat.

Katie said (via US Weekly ), “if it goes any further I’m pretty sure Lexi would have been removed straight away.”

Malia White also shared that Lexi was even worse than the show’s edit made her look. She agreed with Chief Stew and said, “If anything, she was edited nicely that night. She was much worse.” Katie admitted that Lexi was truly a “satan” on the yacht and acknowledged that she had never met someone like her former Below Deck Stew.

How to Watch

Watch  Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on  Peacock . Catch up on the Bravo App .

That's to say, while there have been many iconic cast members over the years, we'd be remiss to forget the OGs.

"We live together and work together, and when you're in such close quarters it gets stressful. It gets frustrating," said chief stew  Adrienne Gang in Season 1, Episode 1, perfectly summarizing the relationship of her cast (and the groups who would follow).

Ahead, find out what your favorite Below Deck Season 1 cast members — including Adrienne,  Captain Lee Rosbach , Aleks Taldykin , Ben Robinson , C.J. LeBleau , Kat Held , Samantha Orme , Eddie Lucas , and David Bradberry — have been up to in the 10-plus years since the season ended.

Where is Captain Lee Rosbach of Below Deck now?

To no one's surprise, the Stud of the Sea stayed on Below Deck through Season 10. While he didn't return for Season 11, Lee is still doing what he does best — captaining and saying his piece .

Off the water and off the set, he loves spending time with his wife , Mary Anne.

Where is Below Deck 's Season 1 first officer Aleks Taldykin now?

First Officer Aleks made one of the most remarkable cross-franchise Bravo cameos when he showed up on Season 4 of Vanderpump Rules  for a date with Kristen Doute . These days, the Los Angeles native is still in the yachting industry, running a company called Elite Yacht Management.

He's also recently become a father.

(Kristen commented a couple of crying face emojis on the announcement, naturally.)

Where is Below Deck 's Chef Ben Robinson now?

Chef Ben has made quite a few appearances in the Below Deck franchise over the years, sticking it out on the OG series until Season 4. He then transitioned to Below Deck Med,  helping  Captain Sandy Yawn out after a team situation turned sour in the galley.

Today, the chef is still cooking his delicacies and traveling the world. He runs a successful catering business and is available for private events, private instruction, and guest appearances. He also launched a  knife  and a  hot sauce  in 2022.

Where is Below Deck Season 1 chief stew Adrienne Gang now?

While Adrienne's tough work ethic didn't always mesh with her team, the first ever Below Deck chief stew certainly knew what she was doing.

In fact, she still works in the industry, serving as culinary director of Blue Oceans Yachting and running a Below Deck -themed podcast called Gangplank Report . In 2018, she married chiropractor Dr. Andrew Danks .

Where is Below Deck Season 1 second engineer C.J. LeBeau now?

You might remember C.J. as the engineer who was running around shirtless in Episode 2, much to Captain Lee's chagrin. If you recall further, he didn't last long, exciting the show after he was caught taking a swim and having a drink with third stew Samantha.

Where is Below Deck second stew Kat Held now?

Kat stuck around for Season 2 of Below Deck , but  told The Daily Dish  in 2015 that she eventually left yachting behind entirely. After realizing she wanted to try something new, she began bartending in Newport and went back to school.

In January 2020, she appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen alongside other franchise favorites to celebrate Below Deck 's 100th episode.

Where is Below Deck Season 1 third stew Samantha Orme now?

Samantha, who went by Sam, came to Below Deck  with some unique experiences: Her family owned an 80-foot catamaran. Working on a boat was a little different than enjoying one, however.

"Working on a mega-yacht is not for me," she eventually shared during a Season 1 confessional. "I had bigger hopes for what this would entail."

These days, Sam is married and has two adorable daughters, of whom she shares the cutest photos on her Instagram .

Where is Below Deck  Season 1 first deckhand Eddie Lucas now?

After working as a deckhand in Season 1, Eddie transitioned to bosun work in Season 2 and 3. During his third go around, Captain Lee had to take Eddie aside after the then-bosun admitted to cheating on his girlfriend with a fellow crew member.

In January 2023, news broke that Eddie had climbed the ranks even further and was captaining a tugboat named   Lynne Moran.

“A lot of it was just hard work, keeping your mouth shut, being quiet. You know that whole ‘squeaky wheel gets the grease’? Well, the squeaky wheel also gets replaced. So just keep your head down and your nose to the grindstone and work hard. And do the right thing. That’s treating people with respect," he told  The Baltimore Banner .  "I think that’s huge, and in my industry, the hierarchy is important. You’ve got to respect it. You don’t want to start arguments until you get to be a captain. Now, I can be a pain in the ass.”

The now-captain also has an adorable dog: Bert .

Where is second deckhand David Bradberry from Below Deck now?

"I've got the least amount of experience and probably the lowest amount of credentials, but give me a challenge and I'll meet it," shared David Bradberry in Episode 1.

While David got engaged during Season 1, he and his longtime partner Trevor Knight are no longer together.

He returned in Season 3 when Captain Lee found himself shorthanded, appearing in Episodes 11-13.

He's since appeared in a number of LGBTQ-themed movies and shorts, according to IMDb .
