Ratings and reviews

Food and ambience, location and contact.

Booked for 7pm Sat 15th Feb Valentine's menu. Nice table ready I had a pint of Strongbow hubby had Carlsberg. Steak arrived mine was perhaps just slightly overcooked for medium but neither of the steaks had any fat and very tasty and tender. Hubby went... to order dessert for extra £2 & was told we should've ordered these when we ordered main but he was sure he wasnt told that. I told our young male server who was excellent that we were unhappy about this and he sorted it for us he is a great example of good Customer service. I had cookie dough cheesecake, hubby had cherry bakewell tart both were good. Great value for money as this deal was only £20 then £2 extra each for dessert. More

Christine M, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Yacht Bexleyheath! We look forward to your next visit, take care!

Came with some family for a lunch and had a fantastic time. Started with some drinks at the bar and the service was efficient and friendly. Sat down in the dining area, the only downside was the table was a little cramped. Food was good... value. Took on a challenge and just about made it. Service in the dining area was attentive and very relaxed, Harriet in particular had some fantastic chat, playfully mocking me as I struggled to bring my Ribs challenge to a conclusion. Thanks guys we will be back More

The_captain_nick, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at our pub Thanks again for taking the time to leave us this information about your recent visit. Take care!

We had a great meal here. All 5 of us felt safe. The tables were clean and well distanced. The table service was excellent by Deven. He was very polite and hard working. The food was lovely and really good value, the steaks were cooked... exactly as we asked for them. More

Hi Kattocmass, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Yacht. We're happy we could meet your expectations! Your recommendation means so much to us and we're so happy to have earned it. Thank you again for taking the time... More

Myself and some friends came for a drink and some food yesterday when the weather was lovely. I was greeted by Dan I believe. I asked if we could sit outside which he was happy for us to do and told us how everything works... since this was our first time out since lockdown. We was greeted by Libby at the bar who was happy to order our drinks and food as the app was rather confusing and didn’t have the full products on offer in terms of drinks. As it was quite busy, we had to wait a longer time for our food but that didn’t bother us (Around 40 mins). A lady came out with our food (Dawn) and made sure that we had everything we needed for our food or needed anything else. The food was gorgeous and the presentation of the food looked spot on. I asked Dawn who the chef was as they need praise for their amazing food in this review which she said his name was Sean. So thank you for the amazing food and service! What a great team under the circumstances. More

Chloe R, thanks for your praise and kind comments about our team. Our team strives to deliver an excellent experience, and are glad you found this to be the case during your visit. If you have further needs or questions, please reach out!

It's been a few years since I've been at The Yacht, but I will be definitely be coming back more often. The staff are so friendly and polite nothing is an issue. Food was amazing ... Top marks Chef Staff are all wearing Covid-19 PPE... also loads of hand sanitizer stations around the pub and not once did I think that rules were broken. You've done an amazing job guys keep up the good work. More

Hi N6843ztnickb, thank you so much for your positive comments about Yacht Bexleyheath! Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if there's anything more we can do!

Visited the Yacht pub for dinner last night. Thank you all for a lovely meal served by polite, charming and helpful staff. Special thanks to Aimie, Heidi and Carly who made us feel so welcome. We both had sirloin steaks which were cooked perfectly medium... rare. The chef visited our table after we sent our thanks to the kitchen staff. We will definitely visit again, soon. The decor of this pub is fresh, clean and cosy. Also I would add that this pub is absolutely on top of the hygiene and customer service with clear directional arrows. We felt very safe that all the necessary precautions had been implemented during this Covid situation. Thanks again. Les. More

Our booking for our local pub had to be cancelled due to technical problems with their kitchen so we went to the Yacht instead. From the off there was a lack of care and attention with food and beverages. Wait times were over 45 minutes... when it wasn’t busy There was a nasty smell of used cooking oil as we sat down which didn’t go away all night. When you order a cocktail you expect a bit of effort in presentation but not here. The food was ordinary and the crispy mushrooms and onion rings were soggy. Steaks were overcooked so not much left that was good Won’t be going back More

Hi Kevinhb953te, I'm really disappointed we've let you down and received this poor rating. II would like to understand the issues you had as we never have a 45 minute wait unless we are busy especially in the garden as when you are inside you... More

Sadly I am confined to a wheelchair and my first remark I’d like to make is how very disabled friendly the pub and garden is. All aspects of Covid-19 is adhered to and I was impressed by the stringent rules that we followed with ease.... The staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was so very tasty and well cooked I couldn’t fault a thing. The pub should be so very proud of themselves for keeping up the very high standards even though we are all living under such extreme measures Thankyou so very much cannot wait to return More

Unfortunately could not stay here. 3 of us (my flatmates and I) walked in to a near empty pub on a Sunday lunchtime and told the lady on the door that we were in the same household which was fine and then we were seated.... Upon being seated we were shouted at from a nearby table from who we presume was the owner. He said: “you’re all from the same household - how does that work?”. After replying that we shared a flat he quite aggressively said “how much have you rehearsed that story?” and proceeded to talk behind our backs to the waitress. At this point we felt far too uncomfortable to stay as we were essentially being called liars by the owner. We confronted the owner and after he failed to apologise and instead just became more hostile we walked out. I don’t think I’ve ever been spoken to in such a way and won’t be returning. It was a shame because we were greeted very warmly by a waitress. Fortunately we managed to find a pub just down the road with a much better menu that wasn’t just a Wetherspoons knock-off and much warmer service. I’m sure this place is fine and perfectly adequate - but be warned that you may be rudely harassed if you are in a group larger than 2. More

My husband and I have been shielding for over three months and decided to make the Yacht the place to go for our first venture out. Our first impression was the extreme cleanliness of all of the areas and the fact they had the safety... of their clientele and staff firmly in hand. This immediately made us feel safe. The drinks and the meal that we had were of a very high standard and were served to us by a very pleasant young lady called Amy. She was attentive and made us feel very welcome. My sister and I went to the Yacht a week ago to catch up upon lives. We were impressed that all members of the staff wore PPE, there were loads of hand sanitizer stations around and the pub even had “Pub safe monitor” who was... everywhere and reassured we are in a safe and clean environment. We were seated by a lovely host and were ready for our meals! We had an ultimate sharer as a starter and burgers as mains. We were offered side plates and wet wipes for our starter despite the busy hour, we appreciate that. Our burgers came hot and mouth-watering! To my surprise, our waitress wore face shield, face mask and gloves – how protective she was! We definitely felt safe and couldn’t help but asking her nationality and name. Our protective waitress named G is from Lithuania what made us feel even better in a pub as my sister and I are Lithuanians as well J Thank you G for wonderful service, friendliness and that “Epic choctastic sundae” that I couldn’t refuse after being offered. I definitely recommend Yacht and we will be returning! Good luck! More

The food was outstanding and there were lots to choose from. So much who we asked the waiter Devon to help us decided and we went with his suggestions. And we were not disappointed. Lyndsey served our food and even bought us more condiments from... the kitchen that weren’t available on the table. Will certainly be coming back with great service like that! More

A decent place with a large garden and a small park, really good for kids, having ate in here a few times before and finding the food OK I thought I'd try the sirloin....which was as tough as rump 🙄. If you prefer "picky food"... eg nachos, chicken wings, breaded mushrooms etc the place will do DO NOT visit to get drunk as the service is always very slow here. Overall not bad for a chilled drink and a munch. More

“Food and dessert.” Review of The Yacht

Mixed grill

The food was lovely and would recommend. However I was best pleased with the desserts. The epic choctastic sundae wasn't very epic to say the least. I was missing Mars pieces and crunches pieces and I only got 1 cripes wafer. The apple sundae pie jar. Was just sauce and it was cold. However saying this the garden renovations are lovely and looking good.

Hello 217chanelleh, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. We are sorry that you were not happy with the desserts both of our sundae jars are served cold and I will investigate why you were missing some of the sweets from you epic sundae. Hope to see you again Sue & the team

Wow! The staff here couldn’t have been more accommodating. Really impressive! Visited here on Sunday evening to have some food. I really wanted sirloin steak but not with salad or chips. As I was thinking aloud, the manager heard me and offered various options and I went for some healthy vegetables (diet season again). Oh my word, the sirloin was cooked perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Thank you to the chef and thank you to all the staff at The Yacht for being so accommodating to a picky eater. Really pleased with the service, cooking and overall atmosphere.

6 shortest streets and lanes of Moscow

1. venetsianova street.

the yacht long lane bexleyheath

Some maps don’t even show the shortest street of Moscow, as it is too tiny. That’s because Venetsianova Street is only 48 meters long. This street is also the narrowest in the city - at just 4 meters. Only two cottages are housed there - №3 and №4. The street was named after great Russian painter Alexey Venetsianov, who lived in the 19th century. He is especially famous for the paintings showing the life Russian peasants. Venetsianova Street is located in the north-western part of Moscow, in the cooperative cottage settlement called Sokol. It was founded in 1923, becoming the first settlement of this type in Moscow. At the time, Venetsianova Street was roughly two times longer, but, in the 1930s, a part of this street was built over with the house of Soviet painter Alexander Gerasimov, who was famous for ideological paintings and portraits of Lenin and Stalin.

2. Lubochny Lane

the yacht long lane bexleyheath

The second shortest street in Moscow is actually a lane, though it doesn’t look like one. It’s named Lubochny Lane - a 58-meter-long part of an embankment of the Moskva River. It’s the shortest street inside the dense city-type neighborhood (in comparison with Venetsianova Street). It connects two bridges: the Chugunny and Bolshoy Moskvoretsky. Only one building is housed on this street and has the address Lubochny Lane, 2. It’s an office building occupied by a department of the Central Bank of Russia. Its second and better-known address is Balchug Street, 2 (which crosses Lubochny Lane). This is a new building that was built in the 1990s in the place of demolished historic houses. The lane got its name after the bast fiber ropes that were produced here, which were used to tie together the parts of an old bridge that once existed there. Lubochny Lane is located in the heart of Moscow and the St. Basil’s Cathedral at the Red Square can be seen from there. The street is located on an artificial island that appeared in 1783, when a drainage canal at its southern side was built to protect the place from strong floods.

3. Maly Ordynsky Lane

the yacht long lane bexleyheath

The next short street is already a true lane, located in the southern part of Moscow’s city center. It’s called Maly Ordynsky Lane and is only 67 meters long. This small lane connects two bigger streets - Bolshaya Ordynka and Malaya Ordynka. It’s actually the only function of Maly Ordynsky Lane. Though it is long enough and some buildings are situated along it, they formally refer to the connected streets: these are different buildings of Bolshaya Ordynka Street 53 and 55 and Malaya Ordynka Street 38 and 40. Technically, it’s the shortest street without buildings. As the variation of names is insignificant (Bolshoy Ordynsky Lane also exists nearby), they can be confusing. They got their names from the road to the Golden Horde that lay through the neighborhood in the 13-14th centuries. But the old names of Maly Ordynsky Lane were completely different. First, it was called Maly Kurbatovsky Lane after famous brigadier Kurbatov, a local householder, until 1917. Then, it was renamed Maly Maratovsky - in relation to a chocolate factory named after Jean-Paul Marat, which was located at Malaya Ordynka Street and integrated into the ‘Rot Front’ chocolate factory in 1971. In 1994 Maly Ordynsky Pereulok got its modern name.

4. Maly Nikolovorobinsky Lane

the yacht long lane bexleyheath

This lane is actually just a little shorter than the previous one: it’s called Maly Nikolovorobinsky Lane and is roughly 68 meters long. It’s situated in the eastern part of the city center and connects Yauzsky Boulevard with Bolshoy Nikolovorobinsky Lane. No buildings relate to this lane, either; however, there is one overlooking it. It’s an old town mansion, which, in 1910, was turned into a hospital and, in Soviet times, the city tried to place an anti-tuberculosis dispensary there. This house is protected as a cultural heritage. All the remaining free area of Maly Nikolovorobinsky Lane is taken up by green space. The lane got its name from the Church of St. Nicholas the Wondermaker in Vorobino that was located nearby, at Vorontsovo Pole Street, 4. The neighborhood was called Vorobino after colonel Vorobin, in honor of his Streltsy (shooters) regiment that lodged there. The first wooden church there was erected back in 1625 and, later, a stone one appeared. It was demolished by the Soviet authorities in the 1930s.

5. Bankovsky Pereulok

the yacht long lane bexleyheath

The next small street is Bankovsky Lane that’s situated in the north-eastern part of the Moscow center. It connects Myasnitskaya Street with Krivokolenny Lane and is 70 meters long. The even-numbered side of Bankovsky Lane consists of historic commercial apartment buildings that belonged to the Sytovs - a rich merchant family. Boris Pasternak often visited one of them, as his family friends lived there. At first, this lane was  called  Shuvalovsky after count Pyotr Shuvalov, who owned a house there. But the count took part in the development of banking in Russia, so he sold his house to the State Issue Bank and the street got its current name. Nowadays, there still is a bank at Bankovsky Lane, though it’s modern and commercial.

6. Lenivka Street

the yacht long lane bexleyheath

Lenivka Street is 160 meters long, so it’s more than twice as long as Bankovsky Lane, but it’s considered the second shortest street in Moscow (if one excludes all the lanes). The street is located very close to the Kremlin and connects Volkhonka Street with Prechistenskaya Embankment. The houses located on Lenivka Street are former apartment buildings. Also, the street was very important for Moscow traffic in the past: the street was even continued as a bridge over the Moskva River, which existed in stone and metal embodiments until 1938, when Ulitsa Lenivka was considered too narrow for traffic, and the bridge was replaced with the nearby Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge. The street also had different names throughout its history. For example, it was once called Lenivy Torzhok Street. It explains all the names: in the 17th century, there was a marketplace where merchants sold their goods right from their carts, without using any stalls - this method of selling was called lenivy (“lazy”). It explains its current name, too. But, there also is a second version: in the past, there was a river that flowed calmly and slowly, so it was called Lenivka, giving a name to the street, too.

Went here Thursday for lunch with my friend and children. Food average, my son had 5 chips on his plate, not enough for a child. We had to wait 45 mins for dessert as there was only one waitress in the whole pub! Felt sorry for her but it’s half term, you need more staff!!

Brilliant place! Lovely food and very well priced. Good for all the family and a play area for the kids

Went here with my family yesterday and had a great time. Staff were friendly and food was lovely. Very reasonably priced and will defiently visit again .

First visit to this particular Flamegrill restaurant in Bexleyheath, very good menu selection at very good prices compared to other chain restaurant's, the rib eye steak I had was cooked as my requirements and the came with plenty of other dishes, the staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoy our visit, would definitely go again.

Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.

Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.

Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.

Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.

Dress code & Face control

Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.

In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:

You can never be underdressed.

People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.

Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.

Types of Moscow Nightclubs

In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:

High-end clubs:

These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.

Regular Mid-level clubs:

They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.

Basic clubs/dive bars:

Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.

Electro/underground clubs:

Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.

What time to go out in Moscow

Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.

As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.

The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List

Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.

Preparty – start here at 11PM

Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).

The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.

Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.

High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.

Secret Room

Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.

Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.

A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.

Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.

Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.

I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.

Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.

Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace

Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.

Afterparty: if by 5AM  you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.

Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.

The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.

Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.

Chesterfield

Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.

If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.

Shishas Sferum

This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.

In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.
