This is the common vision of the two founders of Nicolai Yacht Consulting & Project Management who share a passion for sea and yachting, luxury and style. Together, they have decades of experience in project managing and consulting, combined with marketing and business development skills. HOW WE WORK

We listen to our clients to understand their vision for the project and translate it into a tailored design brief which envision their lifestyle aboard perfectly meeting their specific requirements for the yacht. We build each project team involving the most qualified professionals in the industry who have a proven history with our Company in accordance with the specific needs of each project. We manage the project during all stages of the design, engineering, construction and delivery of the yacht, by managing, coordinating and supervising the development of the project and all professionals involved, from designers to the shipyard. We advise our clients through the entire process providing them with expert recommendations on the best solutions to improve the final result and protect their investment, leaving them only the enjoyment of the project.

Nicola nicolai, managing partner & project management director.

Nicola Nicolai is Managing Partner and Project Management Director of Nicolai Yacht Consulting and Project Management . With over 20 years’ experience in the superyacht industry, in 2017, at the age of 42, he decided the time was right for a new challenge and started his own consulting company. Graduating in Architecture and Yacht Design from Florence University of Architecture, Nicola started his career in 2000 as Design and Engineering Coordinator for North American Yachts and Shipbuilding . In 2003 he moved to Riva , a Ferretti Group Brand , as Project Manager responsible for Riva Athena 115’ series, where he remained until 2006. He then started working at Benetti as Project Manager of full custom yachts in 2006. Soon appointed Head of Project Management Department , at this time Nicola, acting as interim Sales Director, led the “Benetti Design Innovation Project”. Director of Product & Project Management, Planning, Budgeting & Cost Control between 2012 and 2016, he managed new builds of semi custom and full custom projects from 30 up to 90+ mt. Product Development Director , in charge of product development of semi-custom and full custom new projects in 2017. During his career Nicola has collaborated with the most important owners, designers, naval architects, brokerage, management and survey companies in the superyacht industry. He managed projects such as Benetti’s 70mt Spectre, 45mt Domani, 61mt Diamonds Are Forever, 65mt Seanna, 64mt Silver Angel, 56mt Annaeva, Riva 115’ Athena series, Genesis 153’ and many others. Combining his professional experience with his natural passion for yachts, he developed a 360-degree knowledge of product and process, from negotiation to design, engineering, production and delivery of superyachts. Nicola loves to manage projects where ideas become reality.

SERENA BARTOLONI S. OMER

Managing partner & marketing manager.

Serena Bartoloni S.Omer is Managing Partner & Marketing Manager of Nicolai Yacht Consulting and Project Management. Graduated in Business Law from Bocconi University of Milan , she has a solid background in Marketing and Business Development in the Luxury Goods Industry gained while working as Marketing Intelligence and Product Manager for leading fashion brands, Salvatore Ferragamo and Bally . Serena collaborated on strategic projects such as the co-branding between Salvatore Ferragamo and Maserati, worked along Bain&Co in the coordination of the consulting project for Salvatore Ferragamo aimed to enter the business of jewels, worked together with Salvatore Ferragamo Vice President to analyse the market’s opportunities to create a collection dedicated to the product icons which made the history of the brand, the “Ferragamo’s Creations” collection. She recently worked as Marketing and Communication Manager and Consultant for leading international groups specialised in the industry of converting machinery for the paper industry, Fosber Spa and Fabio Perini Spa, Körber Paperlink Group. She believes in the power of tailored consulting services and loves facing new challenges .

In the most recent years, yachting has experienced an explosion of growth within the industry. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry has witnessed unprecedented numbers of first-time large boat (100’+) owners. This, in turn, has led to record numbers of large boats being sold, and created a market of Owners that have never known what it takes to manage or run these magnificent vessels.

While many individual entities make up the process of yacht manufacturing, sales, delivery, operations and maintenance. There are few, if any, that exist to cohesively offer a one-stop solution from start to finish throughout the manufacturing process all the way through crew placement and daily operations and ongoing maintenance.

Our company exists to complete the circle of entities to offer highly valuable solutions of consulting from the prebuild stages all the way past delivery, to include daily operations and expected maintenance schedules, and identifying yacht program goals and needs.

Founder Info

Founder, Capt. Rex Witkamp is an experienced lic. USCG 200-Ton Master as well as a Licensed and Bonded Florida Yacht Broker with over a decade in the first responder role as a Paramedic/Firefighter. Rex grew up in Florida and developed a deep connection with the water learning to swim before learning to walk. The Aquatics Industry has chosen Rex to use his background to provide value to areas of the industry that are underserved. With over 25 years working in industries such as the private sector, healthcare, export, IT, and government, Rex has lived and worked overseas in Europe, Western Pacific. Rex's love for the aquatic industry has served him well in life. Working in the private sport fishing and charter yacht industry has allowed for the identification of more than several key points of consultation and products that provide underserved yet high-value to the industry. It is these all-inclusive features that has led to product offerings that encompass Freelance Marine Group, LLC.

R esidents across the Moscow suburbs are besieged by a heating problem, for which they plead direct intervention from President Vladimir Putin. These individuals have yet to experience any semblance of home heating since winter started due to a dwindling supply of heating oil. The issue, one largely avoided by local authority communication, has left residents desperate to the point of directly appealing to the president.

While plots have been uncovered to disrupt Ukraine's infrastructure for a second consecutive winter, thus depriving civilians of heating, it seems Russians are now mired in their crisis. Irony drips from the fact that those under Putin's leadership are looking to cause turmoil in Ukraine, yet at home, they face a similar predicament.

Many dwellings within the Moscow agglomeration are presently without heat. The capital's residents are desperate, directly appealing to President Putin due to a perceived lack of alternate avenues for assistance. The absence of suitable heating functionality since winter commenced pushes them towards desperation with no relief in sight.

This seems improbable, but in Russia, it appears that anything can happen.

It remains uncertain if Vladimir Putin is actively addressing the heating crisis. Some experts suggest that Russia's heating oil reserves are depleting, which negatively affects residents' quality of life. Plagued by cold radiators and plummeting winter temperatures, these citizens have directly addressed their pleas to their head of state.

This heating crisis is happening in Elektrostal, a town approximately 71 miles from Moscow.

Ironically, Russia has constantly aimed to destroy the Ukrainian infrastructure since war broke out, deliberately trying to leave Ukrainians without heating during the harsh winters, aiming to break their strong will. It's an irony they now struggle with a domestic heating crisis, particularly near Moscow, their largest and most pivotal city.

Desperate individuals are reaching out to Vladimir Putin. They question his knowledge of the heating infrastructure conditions in the Moscow suburbs and the dire situations residents face there. Sundown brings no relief from the harsh Russian winter and without heating, their houses turn cold. With elections nearing, more and more residents find themselves reaching out directly to their president.

"Since winter's start, we've been without heating. This has been a yearly occurrence for the past three years. Despite paying for heating, we don't have enough. We implore you, help us!" - these are the desperate pleas from the heavily dressed populace dealing with the Russian winter conditions.

Experts attribute the heating oil shortage to international sanctions and surging demands for diesel fuel, pivotal to military operations. Russia now grapples with a dearth of raw materials essential for boiler and heating plant operation. As supplies dwindle, houses grow cold with little hope of any immediate corrective intervention.

It would be adequate if the war ceased, residents were prioritized, and attention accorded to their welfare.
