The Most Impressive Superyacht Beach Clubs in the Business

Written By: Naomi Chadderton

Designing a superyacht is no easy feat. From lighting and cabin space to furniture, materials, artwork and accessories, there are 101 factors to consider. First things first? The beach club.

Oasis 40 beach club

Perhaps more important than ever before, the leisure space at a yacht’s stern, otherwise known as its beach club, has recently catapulted its way to the top of the list of priorities for superyacht owners who, alongside their designers and superyacht builders, are placing more emphasis on being close to the ocean than ever before.

From terraces complete with sea views to heavenly wellness centres, these seven slick superyachts are taking beach club design to a whole new level.

Resilience

As one of the newest yachts on the charter market, built just last year in 2021, the 64.76m superyacht Resilience was certainly designed with entertaining in mind. Brainchild of Enrico Gobbi and the Team 4 Design team, it’s home to two serene pools, one of which is located on the main deck aft with steps that lead down to the swim platform. Here the stern door folds down to sea level, creating an extremely sleek beach club with its own lounge complete with Murano glass bar.

An ideal setting to have a drink or two while waiting for your crew to swing around one of the Castoldi tenders, jet skis or many other water toys, it also makes for both a comfortable and stylish spot to laze away the day. On a wellness break? Resilience also comes complete with gym, Turkish bath and sea-view massage room on the lower deck.

Resilience beach club

A popular charter yacht since her inception back in 2008, the Abeking & Rasmussen-built B2 is a first-class vessel in every regard complete with fully-equipped gym, massage room and elevator to all decks.  Yet while her most impressive feature is perhaps her glass-bottomed pool which is located to aft on the main deck, what lies below it is one of the most stylish beach clubs on board a charter yacht which, with fold-down balconies port and starboard and the influx of light through the pool above, is bathed in rippled sunshine. Designed to be welcoming, she also has access to a whole host of advanced water toys – a strong selling point for any guest.

Taking the seaside resort philosophy to a whole new level, the Benetti Oasis 40m deck is as grand as they come. In fact, so successful is the superyacht’s design that she won a prize in the DNA Paris Design Award for its interior design, which was led by the team at Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture.

Flowing seamlessly from the cabin, the aft deck offers uninterrupted 270-degree views of the glistening ocean which is possible thanks to the pair of fold-down bulwarks that create free-flowing additional space. Guests will also find an integrated pool as part of the deck, which sits alongside loungers and a sun pad, making it one of the comfiest beach clubs to laze about on in style. If the sun gets too much for you, there’s also a partially-shaded space in which to recline.

Discreet sliding glass doors to keep the beach club cool, even on a scorching hot day? Check. Fully fitted bar? Check. White marble steam room inspired by the Turkish Hammams? Check. Everything about O’Ptasia’s serene beach club screams good times, right down to the generous swim platform with additional section that raises and lowers for easy access to the sea. But that’s hardly surprising seeing as her design was masterminded by the renowned Studio Vafiadis. Ideal for all weathers, whether you want full access to O’Ptasia’s array of water toys or simply want to relax on your sunbed with a freshly-mixed smoothie, this is the place to do it.

Tatiana

When Tatiana’s owner briefed Bilgin about the design of his new superyacht, the beach club was the first port of call. “They spend a significant part of summer on board so it was vital the yacht had generous socialising areas including a huge spa and beach club,” explains Tugba Sengun, marketing director of Bilgin Yachts. Created in collaboration with Antalya-based Unique Yacht Design, the team did just that.

Unusually placed on the lower deck in the middle of the yacht, Tatiana’s beach club is home to a stunning swimming pool complete with a special heating system that allows it to be enjoyed all year round. Its clear glass sliding doors allow for a sea view even in cold weather, with one opening up to a massage room and the other leading outside where sunbeds await.

Rather impressively, the beach club is also directly connected to the main saloon via a dramatic staircase and features a second pool – the two sit one above the other with the main deck pool boasting a glass bottom, allowing guests to see their friends and family swimming from below. Elsewhere, a fully-equipped gym with sauna on the portside lower deck and large movie theatre seal the deal.

When Golden Yachts unveiled is 95 metre charter yacht O’Pari back in 2020, it’s clear that the Greek yacht builder used its experience gained from the 13 vessels conducted before her to really outdo itself. Once more drafting in esteemed partner Studio Vafiadis to work its magic on her design scheme, she comes complete with huge longitudinal swimming pool on the bridge aft deck, touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck, forward jacuzzi on the sundeck plus outdoor cinema where guests can relax at the end of the day with a screening of the latest films under starlight.

Perhaps most impressive though is her multi-faceted beach club which has been painstakingly designed with guest enjoyment in mind. Here guests can relax with a treatment in the massage room, dry Finnish sauna or Turkish Hammam, with easy access to both the main and spa pools. Surrounded by sliding glazings, the lounge creates the feeling of being outside yet in the comfort of air conditioning, while a louvre-style ladder leads guests into the water below.

Tranquility

If you’re after a luxury wellness charter, the 91.5m Oceanco superyacht Tranquility could be just the ticket. Not only is her impressive lower deck wellness area home to a sauna, a hammam and massage room to name a few, but at 42 square metres, her open-plan beach club comes complete with bathing platform, fully-equipped bar and indoor lounge area that is the perfect chillout haven.

A generous and welcoming space, it also serves as the gateway through which guests embark when the yacht is at-anchor and from here they have direct access to the generous toy and dive store from the beach club and swim platform, as well as the aforementioned wellness area and its 64 square metre spa and 57 square metre gym. Whether you choose to fold out her balcony to starboard and roll out your yoga mat or pull up a sun lounger onto her bathing platform before cooling off in the sea, it doesn’t get more zen than this.

The Best Superyacht Beach Clubs For Easy Access To The Water

Expansive beach clubs onboard yachts for sale or charter..

The entertaining sundeck , comfortable bow seating, aft deck al fresco dining, and cozy main salon get all the attention on a yacht. But let’s not forget the humble beach club — a platform along the waterline between the port and starboard staircases.

A superyacht beach club is more than a place to swim and splash around, it’s an additional socializing and entertainment area. Often called the swim platform or transom garage, some yachts capitalize on this space to offer lounges, dining, a wet bar, gym, or spa. And boy, does it pay off. Beach clubs add a noticeable boost of luxury to the yacht. Whether you’re keen to transform your yacht’s garage or seeking a yacht with an established swim platform — we found 5 superyachts with the best beach clubs. Let’s get the party started.

1. ABBRACCI | 180′ Heesen 2011

ABBRACCI | 180' Heesen 2011 beach club

At 180 feet long, a yacht such as ABBRACCI is going to make the most of every available onboard space. The transom door swings down to open over the water creating a massive swim platform. At anchor, this platform can be configured to the owner’s preference.

When all of the water toys are removed from the garage, the area can be converted into an enormous covered beach club complete with a cedar-finished sauna and day head. It boasts enough space for umbrellas, chairs, or even a dining table.

Contact Denison yacht broker Thom Conboy to inquire about ABBRACCI.

2. CHESELLA | 124′ Amels 1983

CHESELLA also has a selection of water toys, which include a wave runner jet ski, diving equipment, fishing gear, and stand-up paddleboards. The beach club has showers for you to rinse off the salt when you’re done playing in the ocean.

Superyacht Beach Clubs

Nearly a decade ago, the stern of a superyacht wasn’t utilised for anything more than a temporary storage space for kayaks or diving equipment, it’s now been transformed to a stylish space for charter guests to relax and unwind. Beach clubs create an additional space for relaxing, dining, swimming – in fact, they enable guests to be as close to the water whilst still surrounded in total luxury. Our charter team have rounded up five amazing beach clubs within our charter fleet.

Launched by Sanlorenzo in 2017, the award-winning, 52m superyacht features a huge beach club that many other charterers will lust after. Think fold-down balconies, sauna, gym, and a glass ceiling looking upward to the yacht’s swimming pool. And for that James Bond touch, the centre section can lower and flood to allow tenders to drive right in.

Imagine yourself here with an ice-cold drink and the warm summer sunshine on you, it might just make for one of the most perfect moments during a yacht charter vacation.

SEVEN

Built by Sunseeker in 2014, this 47m yacht offers a huge amount of living space with over her three decks. With five generously sized cabins, the main salon and dining room, a sky lounge, an upper sun deck and an impressive beach club she makes an incredible yacht for charter.

The beach club is a destination in itself. Guests can relax here with drinks or snacks at the water’s edge and watch the world go by or get in on the action with the vessel’s great selection of water toys.

SUPERYACHTS

Built in 2019 by Benetti, this stunning superyacht has an iconic beach club awaiting you. This 42.6m superyacht offers multiple areas to enjoy the outdoors, from her stylish beach club with a teak-lined bar to alfresco dining on the bridge deck aft. Not only does SKYLER offer ample outdoor areas for your charter, this superyacht also offers balconies that fold out from master suite on both port and starboard, at the touch of a button!

SPIRIT’S airy beach club is all about sun, sea and relaxation. The transom lowers to create a magnificent teak beach and private swim platform that ensure endless hours of relaxation for everyone.

She accommodates up to 12 guests on private overnight charters in five staterooms and the main deck has a roomy aft deck complete with comfortable seating and an alfresco dining option.

Available to charter in Australia through Ahoy Club, perfect for family vacations or private events.

Spirit,

HERE COMES THE SUN

If space is an important feature when chartering, then look no further than the 83m megayacht HERE COMES THE SUN. In addition to an elevator that accesses all decks, a movie theatre, Jacuzzi, infinity pool and grand piano, she also offers a unique beach club for sunbathing and entertaining. With fold-down terrace doors on both starboard and port sides and drop-down stern, this might just be one of our favourite beach clubs.

Yacht Beach Clubs

The best and finest models of luxury yachts have decks that allow more proximity to the water, simulating (almost perfectly) a beach ambiance. There are different types of beach clubs adapted for various yachts models. Many of them have details and workmanship in wood – or other materials more suited to the contact with water. One of the best examples is the beach club inserted in the Aquila’s yacht model (formerly Cakewalk), which has bars, lounges and an easy access to the spa, made in a beautiful wood finishing.

3 Top Luxury Yachts With Beach Clubs

Perhaps few beach clubs are as refined as the one of the Aquijo model (which is simply the largest ketch-type boat manufactured in the world), manufactured by Oceanco. This super-yacht has a space that functions as a true beach bar, with a beautiful whirlpool and a fantastic sauna. The ambient illumination is guaranteed by a magnificent skylight, ensuring that the sun will be your best travel companion.

Aquijo model by Oceanco including Beach Club - PerfectYachtCharter.com

If there’s an artwork made by Riva, it’s definitely the Excellence V luxury yacht , which has a beach club that is a real masterpiece. With a large space of 60 meters, it has a private bar that, with the opening of a side door, guarantees more space for lounge chairs with intense sunlight, which makes it perfect for sunbathing.

Excellence V luxury yacht by Riva including Beach Club - PerfectYachtCharter.com

Another excellent example is the Royal Denship’s Pegasus VIII , which has a beach club that’s a true veranda. With 78 meters, it’s one of the larger beach clubs. It’s more than enough for an incredible panoramic view and the perfect place to enjoy with family and/or friends.

Regardless of the model and the general characteristics of a beach club, the most important is the space’s ability to offer comfort, safety and convenience while providing a typical beach setting. Beach clubs with more space, favoring of natural lighting and accessibility should be at the top of the list. The good news is that, with the great competitiveness in this luxury market, your “job” will be to choose between the great and the excellent.

THE NEW DESIGN TRENDS SHAPING SUPERYACHT BEACH CLUBS

As the focus of life on board moves closer to the water, the beach club is becoming the highlight, learns Claire Wrathall

Given the extent to which the pandemic has altered human behaviour, as we seek to avoid each other, it’s not surprising that yacht owners have sought sanctuary on their boats. “ A yacht is the best place to be completely safe, ” says Sabrina Monteleone, founder and proprietor of Sabrina Monte-Carlo, the Côte d’Azur’s go-to supplier of deck furniture, furnishings and table settings. “ Owners now want to stay alone on their boats; they no longer go out. ”

Even last winter in St Barths, nobody was going ashore to actual beaches, according to Monteleone. “ No, your own beach club is the place to be now, ” she says. “ On a big boat, on the first or second deck, you don’t really sense the water. But on the platform, the water is right there; you can really feel the sea. Whenever we do a refit, the owner wants to increase the platform. ”

It comes as no surprise, then, that beach clubs have moved on from the time when they were little more than an aft bathing platform shaded by a raised transom door and backed by the toy garage. Now, she says, “ they are more like pool houses ”, complete with sofas, armchairs and ottomans, adjoining gyms and spas, and perhaps a bar. These days a beach club is somewhere to spend the whole day, returning upstairs only at mealtimes.

Increasingly, too, the platform will be directly connected to the main deck by a staircase. “ Because the main deck is becoming the most important area of the boat, ” says Francesca Muzio, co-founder of the Milan-based practice FM Architettura d’Interni, whose recent projects include the spectacular interiors (designed jointly with Nauta Design) of the aptly named and soon-to-be-launched 88-metre Feadship Zen designed by De Voogt Naval Architects. She has also observed a change in the way yachts are used. Where once the upper deck was the most important area, she continues, the focus of activity “ is moving downstairs ”, as owners increasingly request inside-outside spaces “ like verandas or loggias ” on the main deck.

She partly attributes this to a fear of UV rays. “ The sun is the enemy these days, ” she says. “ People no longer want to be exposed to it. ” Rather than gigantic sunpads, they want sheltered outdoor seating areas that are palpably close to the water, possibly filled with greenery and furnished with “ couches, rugs, lanterns ” and lots of tactile textiles. “ You can even find velvets and chenilles and other soft materials suitable for an outdoor marine environment now, so you can really dress it like an interior, ” she says. “ It’s a very Mediterranean concept. ”

Colder climates can equally be allowed for. On the recently refitted 72-metre Damen-built explorer yacht Game Changer, which travels far and wide, the beach club has heating so that it can, in principle, function as a place to sit out even when the boat is in Antarctic or Arctic waters.

These spaces can be equipped for entertainment too. Take the beach club on Severin*s, the 55-metre Baglietto-built superyacht designed by Francesco Paszkowski and launched last year. It has not only a steam shower, but also a 4K-resolution LED wall with an area of about six square metres suitable for video art or screening movies or sports. It’s the creation of audiovisual specialist Videoworks, which also put a retractable 55-inch 4K outdoor television with 180-degree rotation on the yacht’s sundeck that can be viewed either from the lounge or the pool, and a 90-inch cinema screen on the upper deck.

Both Monteleone and Muzio also see beach clubs and decks as opportunities to use bolder colour. “ There has to be harmony, and it has to blend with the indoor areas, ” says Muzio. “ But you can have fun outside. I like to add colour with cushions and towels, ” adds Monteleone.

On Olivia, a Russian navy hydrographic survey vessel that was converted into a 69-metre explorer yacht, she used a “ very cool ” palette of grey, yellow and white on the platform. While on Bold, the 85.3-metre Silveryachts-built expedition yacht designed by her husband, Espen Øino, she chose a vibrant vermilion. Check out the curvaceous armchairs (Smile by Paola Lenti) that stand on the beach club, to which an inflatable platform attaches, so that the yacht’s toys are readily to hand. On Cosmos, which Heesen is due to deliver in 2022, the beach club not only contains a sunken bar but also is sited beneath the seven-metre waterfall-fed glass-bottom pool, so it is lit by sunshine refracted through water.

Launched in 2020 and designed by Luca Dini, 49.7-metre Rossinavi-built LEL is another new yacht with an expansive and versatile beach club, a response to her owner’s brief for “ generous open spaces to make the most of the open air and water ”. Dini’s solution was to create “ an actual terrace overlooking the sea, a pied-à-terre dans l’eau, where nature meets technology ”. The partially indoor space, separated from the garage by an automatic door, is spacious enough to store the tender. Lower the side and transom doors and open the louvres, however, and, when furnished, it becomes an elegant and airy room complete with a bar that extends out over the water – the perfect setting for waterside living and entertaining.

For as Muzio notes, clients no longer commission projects with instructions to adhere to “ a particular style such as art deco or modern ”. What matters more, she says, is their “ lifestyle ”, how they want to live and where they want to spend time – which tends to be within sight of the sea.

From traditional cult venues on the Côte d’Azur to the hottest lifestyle bars on Ibiza’s playas, the Mediterranean offers superyacht charter vacationers some of the best beach clubs in the world. Beach clubs transform any beach getaway into an exclusive VIP experience and are the perfect retreat for yacht charterers. Since most venues have their own jetty, it is effortless to moor there by dinghy, both completely discreetly or to attract the attention of guests ashore.

The afternoon can be spent sunbathing and sipping cocktails before the party begins and continues into the wee hours of the morning. On your next yacht charter vacation in the Mediterranean, be sure to plan a stopover at one of these beach clubs.

1. Nammos, Mykonos - Greece

Since its inception in 2003, Nammos in Greece has redefined opulent beach living. Nestled on the soft, golden sands of Psarou Beach, this trendy Mykonos establishment is a firm favorite among locals and the maritime jet set.

Luxurious lounge chairs invite you to relax in the brilliant Greek sunshine, and an extensive champagne menu provides refreshment. A shaded shisha lounge is the ultimate chill-out zone, while the bar fills with party people as night falls.

Decked out in white wood, bamboo, and palm trees, the open-air Nammos restaurant is worth a trip ashore just for its tantalizing seafood dishes and sumptuous Wagyu and Kobe beef, grilled to perfection at the beef bar.

2. Carpe Diem Beach, Hvar - Croatia

Carpe Diem Beach is located in a rocky cove on the island of Marinkovacoff, fringed by lush pine trees and accessible only by boat. This exclusive spot is just ten minutes from Hvar Town and has been attracting the Croatian lifestyle scene for almost three decades.

During the day, you can tan on huge cushions, swim in the pool, eat seared tuna, and sip mojitos in the lounge bar. There’s even a volleyball court and a massage pavilion offering treatments like seaweed wraps and lemon lavender scrubs.

When night falls, Carpe Diem Beach transforms into the ultimate party spot, perfect for those looking to experience long summer nights. The full moon parties are legendary, with big-name DJs flown in from the best clubs in Europe.

3. Beach Club 10.7, Formentera - Balearic Islands

Beach Club 10.7 seems a world away from the glitzy beach clubs on Formentera’s north coast, perched above a nearly deserted stretch of Playa Migjorn in the south of Spain’s Balearic island. The elegant, understated design of whitewashed wood, regency chairs, and rattan lets the view do the talking.

Secure a spot on the rooftop terrace and relax with one of the signature cocktails made with vodka and watermelon. Casual beats accompany the sun as it sets behind Cap de Barberia, and the music gets louder as partygoers come out to play.

Beach Club 10.7’s menu is a foodie’s paradise, offering a mix of traditional Mediterranean cuisine and Asian influences. Choose from dishes like Catalan lobster, homemade ravioli and classic spaghetti pesto, or share a platter of succulent sushi.

4. Le Club 55, St Tropez - France

The original and most famous beach club in St. Tropez, Le Club 55 was created when Brigitte Bardot came to the then-deserted Pampelonne beach in 1955 to film the movie “And God Created Women,” which would make the actress a worldwide superstar.

Bernard and Geneviève De Colmont provided family meals for the crew in their fishing shack, and it soon transformed into the Cinquante Cinque, a meeting place for rock stars, models and government officials alike.

Today, a terra-cotta terrace shaded by tamarisk trees, woven reeds and white screens provides a relaxed atmosphere where A-listers and locals alike can continue to eat grilled fish and sip rosé without interruption.

The open-air French restaurant even has its own jetty, allowing those arriving by superyacht dinghy to make an impressive entrance.

5. Phi Beach, Sardinia - Italy

Overlooking the 18th-century Forte Cappellini, Phi Beach enjoys a truly magical setting, made even more enchanting by the sunsets over the La Maddalena archipelago opposite. Since the club appeared on the Costa Smeralda in 2005, it has become the hottest beach club in Sardinia.

On the golden sand beach, day beds with white canopies invite guests to relax while sipping signature Havana cocktails and enjoying the delicious Mediterranean menu at the waterfront Chiri Sur restaurant.

There is also a spectacular VIP terrace hidden among the granite rocks. The Rock Club is a place where the elite toast with champagne and dine in an intimate atmosphere. Afterwards, international DJs and beautiful light shows keep everyone entertained until the wee hours of the morning.

6. Maçakizi,-Bodrum - Turkey

A combination of regal hotel and classic beach club, Maçakizi is tucked away in the enclosed bay of Türkbükü, Bodrum, one of Turkey’s most exclusive locations. Amid pink bougainvilleas, wooden decks snake down the slope to the sea, hosting A-listers and superyachties for nearly 40 years.

Settle on a sun lounger just inches from the turquoise Aegean and cool off with an ice-cold mojito. If you’re hungry, try the sea-fresh sea bass or roasted rack of lamb at the first-class restaurant. In the evening, the atmosphere gets even better with DJs spinning.

What to See at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

  • The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
  • Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
  • These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

Insider Today

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam, or Turkish bath — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

Spectacular multi-million dollar yachts — check! Balmy, waterfront location — check! Family-friendly exhibitions and fun — check!

Then it must be the 42nd annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, which cruised into West Palm Beach this week. The city’s waterfront Downtown was transformed into a yachters’ haven, filled with ultra-luxurious yachts and cruisers and a seemingly endless range of yachting-inspired activities.

This year some 800 boats and yachts participated in the show, which is expected to lure over 55,000 total visitors along with 600 brands. In total, the four-day show is anticipated to pump over $1 billion into the economy of the Palm Beach area, which has seen both its population and popularity surge since the pandemic.

“Beyond its economic significance and standing in the industry, the Palm Beach International Boat Show holds a special place in the hearts of local residents, revered as one of the region’s must-attend events,” said Alyssa Freeman, executive director of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC).

The show supports a series of satellite events such as the Winward VIP Club, with an open bar, gourmet dining and special pop-up activations. The Super Yacht Show Palm Beach at Palm Harbor was where the show’s most glamorous — and truly gargantuan — superyachts are on display. At the AquaZone, which is presented by Nautical Ventures, guests can enjoy a “show within a show” via an interactive experience featuring a wide range of water sports and cutting-edge, marine-related products.

“The Palm Beach International Boat Show holds a special place in the hearts of local residents.”

As always, the Show delivers an exceptional array of culinary experiences, including world-class cocktails provided by sponsors such as Goslings Rum. The Show also includes a series of education seminars that appeal to visitors of all ages, including the Hook the Future’s Kids Fishing Clinics with Captain Don Dingman, who demonstrates various fishing techniques while showcasing a wide variety of fish species. Participants get a free Hook the Future x Carolina Skiff rod and reel combo.

But it’s really all about the boats. Here are five of the most unique, intriguing and eye-popping vessels on display.

The lucky charm

Interior of a room on the Talisman C.

Few yachts at this year’s show are as jaw-dropping as Talisman C. Designed by London-based interiors aces H2 and manufactured by Turkish master yacht-builders Proteksan Turquoise, it’s currently listed for sale by British yachting firm Burgess for a cool $59.7 55 million. Spanning just over 231 feet long, it features six full-sized cabins that can sleep up to 14 guests, including a sprawling owner’s suite with its king-size bed and crystal chandelier, massive walk-in closet and grand library (which can easily be converted into an additional cabin).

Upstairs, the yacht’s sundeck features a large glass-encased Jacuzzi, sun beds and dining area under the sun or stars. A chic swim platform allows for easy access to the azure seas while the nearby aft deck area includes a fully equipped bar with club seating as well as a full-size dining area capped by a glass-threaded chandelier.

The vessel is powered by a pair of 2,447hp Caterpillar diesel engines, which provide a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles.

The emperor

Exterior shot of Nero.

Reaching just under 300 feet in length, the Nero is, without doubt, one of the most eye-catching vessels at the entire Palm Beach show. Although completely contemporarily designed and manufactured, the Nero embodies the look and aesthetic of classic boats from yachting’s golden age during the 1930s. Fully overhauled in 2021, the Nero — which is currently on the market for just under $500,000 per week via Burgess — was designed in the spirit of Corsair, a yacht launched in the 1930s that belonged to legendary Wall Street financier J.P. Morgan.

Inside, it could not be more luxurious. On the top deck is a world-class gym fitted out with equipment by Technogym, while a few steps beyond is a beauty salon, which comes with an in-house beautician and masseuse.

There are six cabins with room for 12 guests — along with an on-board Jacuzzi, pool and waterslide. Throughout, veteran yacht designer Laura Pomponi has updated and upgraded the Nero’s look, introducing a range of new handmade carpets, along with hardwood floors, new sofas and elegant art-works. Pomponi has also lent her hand to Nero’s distinctive 30-foot Corsair custom-built tender that has been refitted so guests can arrive in impeccable style.

The secret agent

Exterior of deck aboard Casino Royale.

As its name suggests, the 236-foot Casino Royale brings a large dose of Bond-like elegance and intrigue to West Palm Beach. Constructed by Italian master shipbuilder Tankoa in 2018 and given a top-to-bottom retrofit in 2022, Casino Royale includes six cabins for 12 passengers and has been awarded a slew of industry accolades for its innovative and forward-thinking technology and aesthetic. Nearly two dozen crewmembers tend to those lucky voyagers, which luxuriate in an on-board circular swimming pool and access the ship via a helicopter port.

The yacht’s primary suite is nothing if not grand, featuring 180-degree views from its king-size bed along with its own study and al fresco terrace with private sunbed and Jacuzzi. There are five additional guest suites — all with their own private baths. Just beyond is an open-air living layout complete with a range of bespoke contemporary furnishings across the boat’s nearly half-dozen passenger decks.

Outside the amenities are just as abundant and include an onboard beach club with a lounge, bar, sauna, terrace and hammam/shower. All are ideal locations to rest and recharge after a workout in the yacht’s wellness center. On the main deck, there’s a nearly 20-foot-long infinity pool, while that helipad can easily convert into a dance floor.

The love boat

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Edmiston & Company (@edmistonyachts)

Completely futuristic and totally cool, the 180-foot-long Come Together is the ultimate example of stealth wealth on the high seas. Completed just two years ago by the Dutch firm Amels and currently on the market for a cool $65 million, Come Together features an unmistakable architecturally styled exterior reminiscent of a city-center skyscraper.

The boat can house up to 14 guests and 13 crew members within its unmissable steel hull and an aluminum-clad super structure — all cruising at a top speed of 15.5 knots.

The boat’s expansive master suite is set within its main deck and features sprawling storage space, a dressing room as well as his and hers bathrooms. There are an additional VIP cabin, two double cabins and two further cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. Up top, there’s a fully equipped gym and Jacuzzi — while a set of Jet Skis, water skis and hover-like Seabob watercraft keep the fun going just off deck. Come Together’s unique underwater lighting system also delivers a strong dose of excitement come nighttime and is the perfect way to enjoy an after-hours swim.

Want more? Then don’t forget about the on-board wakeboards, paddleboards and snorkeling equipment. And, when the moment strikes to head from the boat to land, travel could not be easier thanks to an easy-access 30-foot Limo Tender.

The cordial cruiser

Exterior of Hospitality.

The aptly named Hospitality ticks off the right boxes when it comes to superyacht bells and whistles. This twin-engine beauty can house up to 16 passengers along with 11 crew at a maximum cruising speed of 24 knots. Built back in 2011 by Westport Yachts here in the US, Hospitality — which is currently on the market for just under $30 million — underwent a comprehensive retrofit in 2021.

Along with all of the requisite yachting toys — Jet Skis, Seabobs and paddleboards — Hospitality includes a grand private owner’s suite with its own private relaxation balcony, seven cabins along with a relaxation room that can be used as a gym or spa and meticulously designed public spaces across is handful of decks. There’s also a handy tender for quick — or, not so quick — jaunts to the shore for dining and shopping.

Hospitality mostly cruises the Caribbean to New England, making the most of Northern Hemisphere winters.

Beach Clubs

Beach clubs are becoming an essential feature on superyachts as the client needs have evolved to modern living trends. Health and wellbeing are at the forefront and a huge industry with large 5-star hotels and resorts offering the spa experience with health retreats and extensive range of water activities that can cater for any need. Health and well-being have been available on yachts for some time, with masseurs, gyms, yoga classes and water toys. Over the past 3 years has seen an increase in beach clubs and outdoor stern spaces being a focal point within the design process of yachts that are under 50 metre. In 2020 the Covid pandemic had a huge impact on the luxury travel industry and lockdown meant that crowded resorts and beaches may now direct super yacht clients to want to escape to their own island on the sea.

SanLorenzo SX112

SanLorenzo launched SX112 a 34m yacht in 2020 the largest to date and can cater for 10 guests and 5 crew. The SX range of crossover yachts conceived by Luca Santella, mixing explorer style with classic flybridge motor yacht design. The SX112 has exteriors by Bernardo Zuccon of Zuccon International Project, and interior by Piero Lissoni. The Crossover range refers to the function and uses of spaces that intertwine; this is true to the SX112 due to the multifunctional open spaces that can be re-positioned to the client’s specifications during the design stage.

Piero Lissoni an architect and creative director for Sanlorenzo has created a luxury home on the water by removing the traditional yacht features and considered how people utilise spaces. M/Y Race interior and exterior was created by Officina Italiana Design founded by the innovative designers Mario Micheli and Sergio Beretta. M/Y Race can cater for 10 guests, 9 crew and has a cruising speed of 14 knots. The yacht can be custom built to clients’ specifications with a range of design possibilities.

Benetti 40m Oasis

The 40m Oasis is unique in design by having no barriers between the exterior and the interior, the focal point being the swim platform at the deck aft that flows seamlessly into the interior space to create a modern open-plan configuration.

The renowned British designers RWD have created a yacht that fits the changing needs of yacht users for a more relaxed, contemporary style and being closer to the sea. The interior has been designed by Bonetti Kozerski Architecture with cool and sleek style and well considered palette that is timeless and sophisticated. M/Y Rebeca launched in August 2020 and M/Y Joy in March 2021 can both cater for 10 people, with 5 cabins and 9 crew.

The yacht’s 90sqm spacious beach club is complete with fold-out bulwarks to increase the space to enable sun loungers to be laid out resting close to the water. Time for a bigger boat? Check out what the Palm Beach International Boat Show has to offer

super yacht beach club

Whether you're the son of a son of a sailor or even just love that song and want to know more, the granddaddy of all boating events is happening this weekend along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

That's right, the Palm Beach International Boat Show is back for four glorious days along Flagler Drive.

This will be the 42nd annual event, and organizers promise it will be bigger and better than ever.

There will be $1.2 billion worth of Bond-worthy super yachts, cruisers, sportfishing boats, center consoles and even inflatables to see and tour, along with attractions and activities highlighting the latest in boat engines, motors and accessories. There will also be the latest fishing gear and even fishing seminars.

Yes, it's a big event, but don't be intimidated. In fact, here are seven fun facts about the show:

How many boats can this boat show boast?

There will be more than 800 boats on display along the floating docks in the Intracoastal Waterway.

What is the biggest boat at the boat show?

With a length of 236 feet (and 38 feet wide), Casino Royale takes the title for largest boat this year. This gorgeous yacht, designed for her exterior lines by Francesco Paszkowski with interior by Paszkowski’s interior lead designer Margherita Casprini, is also one of the most technically advanced yachts in her category. Casino Royale is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516B main engines and has an impressive top speed of 17.5 knots. You can put your checkbooks away for this one, however, as she is only on display and not for sale.

This boat is the boat show's most epensive

Built in 2022 and 196-feet long, Come Together is listed for $59,950,000. This expedition yacht was delivered by the Dutch shipyard Amels and features interior styling by British designer Winch Design. It can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins along with 14 crew members.

Are spectators allowed to go on the boats?

To go onboard the yachts and superyachts, visitors must make an appointment with the brokers. For the smaller boats, however, spectators can come onboard if they are interested in buying.

What is the smallest boat?

The smallest boat being displayed on the water is a runabout boat that is 22-feet-6-inches long, and 5-feet-11 wide. It is manufactured by Hermes.

Eating inside the boat show

The show will have dozens of food concessions featuring almost anything you could be craving, from Greek gyros to woodfired picanha, authentic street tacos and hand-crafted burgers. On a seafood diet? Enjoy fresh stone crab claws, calamari, oysters, and much more! Vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten-free? No problem; they have options for you as well.

And libations at the boat show?

Of course there will be drinks. To be precise, there will be four bars for general admission guests, including two floating cocktail barges: the Goslings Island Bar and the Anheuser-Busch Barge. In addition there will be multiple bars in the Windward VIP Club.

What: Palm Beach International Boat Show

Where: Downtown West Palm Beach along Flagler Drive from Banyan Boulevard south to Lakeview Avenue

When: noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 24

Cost: Adult one-day tickets $33, adult two-day tickets $60; child (ages 6 to 15) one-day tickets $17.

Palm Beach Vitruvius is capable of more than coastal cruising, though. The vessel can also carry out transoceanic voyages, with a range of more than 4,000 nautical miles.

Palm Beach Vitruvius Superyacht

On top of that, Palm Beach Vitruvius will look plenty elegant on the high seas. The cruiser showcases the streamlined hull that has become synonymous with Vitruvius. Briand, both a naval architect and yacht designer, has previously penned sailing yachts and thus knows a thing or two about creating a sleek silhouette.

The studio didn’t share any details regarding layout or amenities but acknowledges that comfort is paramount for a truly exceptional yachting experience. As per the renders, Palm Beach Vitruvius is packed with plush features, such as an expandable beach club with an infinity pool and a scenic sundeck with a Jacuzzi and bar. She also is equipped with a large sun pad and lounge on the foredeck and multiple alfresco lounge and dining areas on the aft decks.

It shouldn’t be too long before we see Palm Beach Vitruvius cruising the seas, either. “Designed by one of the world’s most well-known naval architects, it is more than a concept,” Kevin Ralph, a broker with Worth Avenue Yachts, said in a statement. “This fully engineered project is currently out to bid by three world-renowned yacht yards and will be ready to commence building shortly.”

Disney Yacht Club vs Beach Club – what’s the difference?

W hen traveling to Walt Disney World, one of the first things you need to decide is where you’ll stay. But there are so many options, how do you choose?! We have so many posts about Disney resorts and choosing the right one . So, we decided to dive a little deeper into some of the resorts that guests sometimes have a hard time choosing between to help you find the right resort for you. Today we are comparing Disney’s Yacht Club vs Disney’s Beach. What’s the difference and which is right for you?

Disney Yacht and Beach Club

Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club are often considered one in the same. Which is easy to see why. But they’re actually different resorts, with different room types and different vibes. Yes, they share many things. Their famous pool complex, Stormalong Bay, is a big reason why many guests choose to stay here. Transportation is exactly the same as are many of their other amenities like the arcade, resort gym and Movies Under the Stars. Situated right next to each other, their lobby doors are no more than 5 minutes away from each other. Making it easy to enjoy all that both resorts have to offer when staying at either location.

So let’s take a quick look at each one and compare these two deluxe resorts at Disney World .

Disney’s Yacht Club

Disney’s Yacht Club is the series of gray buildings with the little red awnings on Disney’s Boardwalk. Known for a more upscale theme than its sister resort, the Beach Club, the Yacht Club is sometimes considered a bit stuffy. We don’t find that to be the case at all, but it definitely has a more high-end vibe than Beach Club. It’s themed to a New England Yacht Club, which makes sense that it would feel a bit more elite.

Yacht Club is home to Ale and Compass Restaurant and Yachtsman Steakhouse. And also has Ale and Compass Lounge and the Marketplace at Ale and Compass. Though guests staying at either resort can easily take advantage of the quick service and lounges at both resorts since they are so close together.

Disney’s Beach Club

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is the closest resort to Epcot Park. Located about a 5-minute walk from the International Gateway and the Skyliner, you just can’t get any closer. Known for its dreamy blue buildings and laid-back vibe, this resort tends to be a guest favorite. Disney’s Beach Club technically has beaches, and Yacht Club technically does not.  But we don’t really consider that, as the beaches aren’t really resort specific, as anyone can use them, and they are still quite close to Yacht Club. Beach Club is also a DVC property, which means it has a lot of room types to offer. Standard rooms, along with studios and villas give guests a lot more options here.

Beach Club houses its main dining, Cape May right off the lobby. This is both a good thing and a not-so-great thing in our opinion. For guests visiting, it’s easy to find. Which is great! But generally, when the main restaurant is in a resort lobby at Disneyworld, we notice that the lobby tends to be more chaotic for guests staying there. And while anyone is welcome to visit any resort at Disney, resorts with popular restaurants on the main floor will almost always be more crowded than those without, or with their restaurants in a different location.

What’s the difference? Disney Yacht Club Vs Beach Club

First and foremost, the biggest difference between these two is the theming. They are generally about the same distance to Epcot. Though Beach Club is definitely closer, the amount is minimal. And since it is larger than Yacht Club, the location of your room can make a big difference in terms of how long it may actually take you to get to the Park Entrance.

Aside from this, the vibe and atmosphere is another determining factor. Beach Club is going to be more kid focused, with its character restaurant Cape May right in the lobby. And a more fun and whimsical theme. Yacht Club, though still good for families, is a more grown up feel and has no character meals that would draw families from outside of the resort.

One of the big differences we noticed between these two resorts is the room layouts. For their standard rooms, Yacht Club is set up with the beds in one area, and the ability to close off the area with the vanity, bathroom and shower. This is not the case with Beach Club. Their rooms don’t close off the vanity section, which is a bit odd and can make getting ready in the mornings a bit more difficult.

The things that are exactly the same between the two resorts are the bigger considerations, like the price, pool, food courts, location and transportation.

Yacht Club vs Beach Club: Which is best?

For us, Yacht Club feels like a more elevated experience and feels more “worth it” as a result. It’s quieter, in better upkeep and has better room layouts for its standard guest rooms.  We like the food court here better than at Beach Club, as it offers more hot foods. Though the quick service restaurants at either resort are not super impressive, Yacht Club’s choices are better.

We love a laid-back vibe, but due to Beach Club’s closer location and having one of the best character breakfasts on Disney property , the lobby here can often get a little crowded and feel somewhat chaotic. The same goes for Christmastime when the Beach Club puts up their stunning Gingerbread Carousel for the holiday season at Disney . And unfortunately, the resort is in some serious need of TLC. The room layout at Beach Club was also not our favorite. And we think it has one of the worst quick service options at Disney. Which isn’t a big deal because you have easy access to food anywhere on Disney’s Boardwalk . But it also can be really inconvenient when you’re just trying to find food quickly.

As you can see, it all comes down to personal opinion. For many people, Beach Club takes the cake. For us, we think Yacht Club has a slight edge and will likely tend to choose it over Beach Club in the future.  Do you have a favorite?
