The head sail was made by Quintom sails two years ago and hull was painted last month (6/23) with Pettit Trinidad off shore with Pettit bearer coat 4700 epoxy primer. A tall, double spreader rig allows the Sabre 34 to sail close to the wind. Main and genoa halyards are internal. Two sets of jiffy reefing, plus a topping lift and internal clew outhaul are located on the boom for easy access. Skippering is a pleasure from the cockpit of the Sabre 34. It is ergonomically designed for sailing efficiency and comfort even after extended hours at the wheel. Its T-shape allows full length reclining comfort with excellent functionality. A raised helmsman's seat doubles as an access hatch to a deep lazarette locker and offers superb visibility over the 36" wheel. One of two large storage lockers features a chart pouch on the lid, an interior locker light, and a folding step for easier access. The traveler, positioned on the cabin top, creates a safer cockpit with clear companionway access and excellent space utilization. Interior of the Sabre 30 has a remarkably spacious and functional cruising layout, with standing room throughout. Forward cabin includes double v-berth, two full length bins, two drawers and four lockers. Head to port includes vanity with single sink with hot & cold pressurized water and manual foot pump, shower, teak towel rack, toilet paper holder and teak faced mirror. Opposite the head is a hanging locker and additional storage. Salon has settee seating for six surrounding large table. The double leaf teak table folds up against a magazine rack on the main bulkhead. Port convertible settee extends to make a double berth. Starboard settee converts to single 6' 4" berth. Hull construction on the Sabre 30 is a single unit hand laminated fiberglass molding using alternating layers of mat and roving with additional reinforcing in high stress areas. Interior construction is of handcrafted teak and varnished mahogany. All trim, drawer fronts and locker doors are solid teak. Deck is hand laminated fiberglass with balsa stiffening and molded in non-skid deck surface. Toerails, handrails, coaming caps and trim are all teak. Comfortable shaded cockpit seating for six under bimini.

This 1986 Sabre 30 Mark III is a great example of a quality sailing craft and shows that she's been extremely well maintained. She has lots of space and comfort of a cruiser. This Sabre has a spacious main salon with 6'3" headroom, teak cabinets, custom made curtains that match the upholstery, two opposite facing settees and a large drop down table. In the galley is a stove, stainless steel sink, icebox, and a built in trash holder. In the head you have a toilet, sink, and shower with hot and cold water. Hot water heater gauge is not operable. The Sabre Mark III 30 features a comfortable cockpit that accommodates 4 adults and includes a pedestal mounted wheel. She comes sight a 5' 2' standard draft. The overall feeling from the deck is of a comfortable well proportioned sailing yacht and the side decks are wide enough to allow for easy passage from the foredeck to the cockpit. All sails have recently been cleaned. Sails include 1 2001 North Main Sail, 3 Head Sails/Jib: 110, 135 and 150 and one spinnaker plus sail cradle. 1979 30 ft SABRE SAILBOAT FOR SALE
Well constructed, sturdy, reliable and stable 30ft fiberglass sailboat repowered in 1999 with a 13 hp Yanmar diesel engine. 4.5 ft deep keel. Folding propeller. Three sails (main, roller genoa headsail, and spinnaker with pole) in fair to good condition. Tiller steering, with autupilot. Dodger, bimini and main sail cover. Dutchman main sail flaking system for easy handling. Great for bay and coastal sailing. Sleeps 5 comfortably. Solar powered ventilation fan in forward cabin. Manual head. Galley with alcohol stove and insulated cool box. 20 gallon fuel tank, 20 gallon water tank. Automatic and manual bilge pumps Anchor. Several lifejackets. Wind direction, and depth and speed indicators. Two compasses. Fixed VHF radio, and radio/cd player. Inflatable dingy with an outboard.

Sabre Yachts
Sabre Yachts builds high-quality sail and motor yachts at its manufacturing facilities in Raymond, Maine. Founded in 1970 with the motto “Crafted in Maine Tradition,” Sabre has built over 4,000 hulls. More than half of Sabre’s production is dedicated to powerboats. The Sabre Design Team is committed to evolving current and future models by introducing improved manufacturing details, modern equipment specifications, and the latest construction techniques.
Sabre Yachts was founded by Roger Hewson in 1970. The company began with Hewson’s 28-foot sailing yacht, built with production line methods and fiberglass technology. A sister company of Back Cove Yachts, Sabre Yachts builds sail and motor yachts at its two facilities in Raymond, Maine. Sabre currently manufactures three models of sailing yachts ranging from 36 to 45 feet.
In 1989, Sabre expanded its market with a tri-cabin motor yacht, the first Sabre 36 “Fast Trawler”. Sabre’s motor yacht model line is available in Salon Express and Fly Bridge styles, ranging from 38 to 54 feet. Currently, more than half of Sabre’s production is dedicated to powerboats.
