Feadship 95m hybrid superyacht BLISS hits the water

A brand new addition to the Feadship fleet has arrived: 95m (311ft) superyacht BLISS , formerly known as Feadship 1009, has just launched at the Makkum shipyard. Boasting a sleek silhouette, her striking exterior design is a collaboration between the shipyard, Studio de Voogt and reportedly heavy involvement from the owner. Rémi Tessier is responsible for her interiors.
Feadship superyacht launches in the Netherlands
After many years of planning and fine-tuning, the result is a majestic custom yacht. She features state-of-the-art technology and engineering for all her onboard systems, as well as a hybrid propulsion system which will mean she can cruise in diesel-electric mode. She will be able to significantly reduce her energy consumption and provide considerable fuel savings to her owner.
Her interiors still remain under wraps. But what we do know, is that she features nine elegantly appointed guest cabins, with a gym, wellness area and voluminous lounges. As for her exterior spaces, BLISS also has a large pool, and a commercially certified helideck that can be transformed into a sports and games deck whenever her owner wants.

Feadship 95m hybrid superyacht Bliss pictured on maiden voyage
Feadship’s 95 metre hybrid superyacht Bliss has been captured in Gibraltar after embarking on its maiden voyage from the Dutch yard . The yacht, which completed sea trials earlier this year, is now at anchor in the Bay of Palma.
Previously known as 1009, Bliss is described as a “timeless family yacht”. Fitted with a hybrid propulsion package, Bliss is set to be a “world traveller”, according to the yard.
Exterior design comes courtesy of Jan Schaffers of Studio De Voogt while Rémi Tessier has penned the “elegant” interior.
Key features include “state-of-the-art technology and engineering” alongside “advanced security and life-safety systems”, the yard said.
The hybrid propulsion system will enable the yacht to sail in diesel-electric mode. Equipped and certified to cruise the Polar regions, Bliss will has a top speed of 17 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Other features include high ceilings, nine guest cabins, plentiful lounge areas and a large gym and wellness area. Spacious exterior areas include a large swimming pool and helideck, which converts into a sports and games deck.
Feadship reported the owner had “thoroughly enjoyed” the design and build process that brought the yacht into being.
Project manager Albert Abma said: “Feadship is renowned for offering a unique experience to owners who wish to become personally involved and, in this case, the client embraced every opportunity to play a role.
“He also thoroughly enjoyed meeting the craftspeople and learning about our processes at the yard. Bliss really is a Feadship built with as well as for her owner.”

Feadship celebrates launch of 95m Bliss
The makkum yard debuts this polar certified hybrid….
The subject of enormous owner involvement and the epitome of the custom build experience, Bliss is a family yacht that benefits from the latest hybrid propulsion, and with Polar Code certification, is set to be a world traveller.
Bliss is a displacement superyacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and showcases exterior styling developed by the owner and Studio De Voogt. The yacht has a clean and highly symmetrical design with her tenders and a large fleet of toys concealed.
According to Feadship, The owner’s involvement has been paramount to the success of both the exterior and interior design, with cooperation between designer Jan Schaffers of Studio De Voogt for the exterior design and Rémi Tessier for the interior.
Advanced security and life-safety systems have been discretely incorporated. De Voogt Naval Architects has been heavily involved in the design and engineering of the hybrid propulsion system to enable the yacht to sail in diesel-electric mode, giving flexibility in terms of its efficient energy consumption and offering significant fuel savings.
M.Y. Bliss has nine guest cabins, multiple large lounges, and an extensive gym and wellness area. This has been combined with expansive exterior deck areas, a large pool, and a commercially certified helideck which converts into a full sports and games deck.
Leisure facilities aside, this is a Feadship built for serious exploration. She is fully equipped and certified to cruise Polar regions, anchor in deep water, or keep its position with her dynamic positioning system. Bliss sails with a top speed of 17 knots and has a range of 6000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Feadship 95m Bliss Departs for Sea Trials

95-metre Feadship superyacht Bliss has left the facility in Makkum as she heads to the North Sea for her first sea trials.
The 95m superyacht became the latest entry into the Superyachts.com Top100 when she was launched by Feadship in May . Previously known as Project 1009, Bliss features a modern exterior profile penned by Feadship ’s own Studio De Voogt, while Rémi Tessier has designed natural and welcoming interiors to promote liveability.
‘ The experienced members of the project team at Feadship in Makkum led by project manager Albert Abma have always taken the extra steps needed to achieve an excellent result,’ said Ron Kleverlaan, Owner’s Representative, upon the launch of Bliss.
‘ Feadship is renowned for offering a unique experience to owners who wish to become personally involved and, in this case, the client embraced every opportunity to play a role. He also thoroughly enjoyed meeting the craftspeople and learning about our processes at the yard. Bliss really is a Feadship built with as well as for her owner, ’ said Albert Abma, Project Manager.
Bliss has open and inviting interiors, characterised by high ceilings to add to the sense of space while there are nine luxurious guest cabins. The vast deck spaces on this superyacht are filled with an exciting array of amenities, from large pool to the fully equipped gym and wellness area. For extra adventure and convenience, there is a commercially certified helideck, which also converts into a full sports and games deck.
