Yacht Description

Motor yacht St. David is a custom 60m superyacht designed by Andrew Winch and launched by the Benetti Shipyard. She was awarded ‘Best Charter Yacht’ by the Robb Report, and was recently refitted in 2019 to create the ultimate contemporary charter experience.

Luxury yacht St. David has six staterooms, including an owner’s master suite, a full-beam VIP stateroom, and four spacious double rooms that can be converted into twin rooms if required. The owner’s master suite is split over two levels, with a raised bedroom for maximum privacy, a stunning staircase, a lounge area, an ensuite, and panoramic views.

Charter yacht St. David is the star of Seasons 10 & 11 of the popular US TV Series “Below Deck”.

The interior living spaces are finished to the highest standards, with mosaic floors, sculptured tables, and detailed marquetry. The Italian Riviera-style creates a lavish atmosphere on board, featuring a floating staircase that spans three decks and is topped by a skylight.

Outside, the yacht boasts an oversized jacuzzi pool, refitted in 2019 with new pumps and jets. There is also a fabulous circular dining table for twelve guests and an adjacent bar on the upper deck, while the deck below offers an indoor-outdoor circular table, well-protected in case of a crosswind.

Luxury charter yacht St. David comes with an extensive range of water sports equipment, including two tenders, two jet skis, two Seabobs, fishing and diving equipment, water ski equipment, paddleboards, and inflatables.

Guest Accommodation

The interior of St. David can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, including an Owner’s suite that is spread across two levels, a VIP suite, and four spacious double/twin cabins. The VIP suite and the other four guest cabins can be converted into twin cabins upon request.

The Master Suite is located on the main deck and is a magnificent full-beam Owner’s suite that is divided into two levels. It features a raised bedroom for ultimate privacy and luxury, a stunning staircase, a sumptuous lounge area, an ensuite bathroom, and panoramic views that provide a truly unforgettable experience.

The Guest cabins are located on the lower deck and include one VIP full-beam cabin with a double bed, a large walk-in dressing area, an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate bathtub, and four double cabins that can be converted into twin cabins. Two of the double cabins have bathtubs, and the other two have showers.

Throughout her interior living spaces intricate craftsmanship is finished to the highest standards, evident in her beautiful mosaic floors, sculptured tables that rise and fall, detailed marquetry and magnificent sweeping spiral staircase. The ‘St David’ is a 196.85ft 60-meter  custom motor yacht built in 2008 by Benetti and last refitted in 2012. Andrew Winch is responsible for her beautiful exterior and interior design. The vessel was previously named St Ekaterina.

The interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests across 6 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew members onboard, providing all with a distinctive, stylish charter experience.

There are a number of unique features on the St David, including a split-level master suite that offers guests with panoramic views. The whole yacht has stunning mosaic floors, and the whole layout provides flexible accommodation for all.

St David offers spa and massage facilities to add a real taste of luxury and an outdoor cinema and private nightclub make this the perfect party yacht for entertaining.

St David has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and is built to comply with both MCA and Lloyds Register standards. She comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

Air conditioning keeps things cool even on the hottest summer days, and Wi-Fi connection is readily available throughout.

Launched by the world-renowned Benetti Shipyard, and designed internally by Andrew Winch, the magnificent custom-made 60 metre motor yacht St.David was recently refitted in 2019 to achieve one sole purpose: to create the absolute pinnacle of contemporary charter excellence.

Her opulent interior sleeps up to 12 guests in six staterooms that incorporate a magnificent master suite, full-beam VIP stateroom and very spacious four double rooms, which can all be converted to twin, if requested. Split over two levels, and with a raised bedroom for ultimate privacy and luxury, the master suite features a stunning staircase, sumptuous lounge area, ensuite and panoramic views that provide a truly unforgettable experience.

Throughout her interior living spaces are finished to the highest standards, evident in her beautiful mosaic floors, sculptured tables that rise and fall, and detailed marquetry. The Italian Riviera-style creates a lavish atmosphere on board, featuring a floating staircase which spans three decks is topped by a skylight and peeks into the bottom of the sun-deck pool.

Outside, perhaps her most impressive feature is the oversize jacuzzi pool refitted in 2019 with new pumps and jets. Also on the upper deck is a fabulous circulate dinning table for twelve guests and an adjacent bar. Dinning on the deck below offers an alternative experience with an indoor-outdoor circular table, well protected in case of a crosswind.

St. David boasts an extensive range of water sports equipment including a brand new (2019) 7.2m Four Winns tender and an additional RIB tender for beach landings, two jet skis, two Seabobs, fishing and diving equipment, water ski equipment, paddle boards and a large selection of inflatables.

Whether you are watching movies under the stars at the yacht’s outdoor cinema, exercising in the gym, enjoying a massage from our experienced onboard masseuse or partying in her private nightclub, St.David offers a charter experience like no other.

ST DAVID currently registered in the Isle of Man is actively available for charter in several cruising destinations.

The luxury motor yacht ST DAVID, previously named XANADU, ST KATERIANA, was built by Benetti and delivered to her owner in 2008, she later underwent a refit in 2019.

Her interior displays the hallmarks of one of the yachting world’s best interior designers, no less than the widely celebrated Andrew Winch, and her overall design maximises space, freedom and lifestyle. With three spacious decks yacht St David has multi-dimensional space to entertain family or friends. From watching movies under the stars in the outdoor cinema to a huge variety of water sports, this superyacht has it all. She sleeps up to 12 guests in six functional, well designed and furnished state rooms including a master suite, one VIP state room as well as four guest retreats.

St David was launched in 2008. Designed by the British designer Andrew Winch she was launched as the fourth hull in Benetti’s 60m series. She featured in the Antigua Charter Yacht Show at the Falmouth Harbour Marina and is said to be a perfect charter yacht. What an impressive figure she cuts with her gentle curves and streamlined profile sparkling in the Caribbean. 

In the summer months, St David itineraries will take you to the Mediterranean while in the winter, the Caribbean. You can decide where and when you want to go at your own pace and to idyllic destinations that suit you. Escape to your favourite spot or discover something new as you cruise along at 13 knots. Sail to the French and Italian Riviera, Cuba, the Virgin Islands or along the Amalfi Coast.

The interior

Designer Andrew Winch designed the opulent interior of this yacht to blend perfectly with the practical spaces. The idea was to create space for a whole host of activities with an interior inspired by romantic, elegant and large Italian hotels. Luxurious escapism is what’s on display throughout with intricate marquetry, marble and glittering mosaics. Guests can expect a warm welcome when boarding St David through the curved doors at the aft deck. This acts as a precedent of what is to come. 

You won’t fail to be impressed with the checked marble flooring, central compass motif and a fantastic cocktail bar to port. What a divine area to sip drinks in comfortable, wingback armchairs. The St David’s interior lavish charms in the main saloon certainly delights. The high gloss wood in the bar is replicated in the cabinetry and wall panels - exquisite. 

Soft white carpets with borders of pink flowers replace the marble floor in the dining rooms and lounges. Relax on one of the four sumptuous sofas in peach, gold and white fabric that face a coffee table to create the perfect social seating area. The table and chairs are upholstered in gold damask and complete the formal dining set up superbly.

Oil on canvas paintings by the muralist Michael Alford are on display along with sparkling glassware, fossil ornaments and amazing candelabras. A sweeping staircase will certainly capture your attention especially with its intricate marquetry made from soft satin wood. Natural light filters through a glass bottom spa pool on the sundeck to lighten up the space even further, what an effect.

Accommodation

The opulent accommodation consists of one master suite with a king size bed, a VIP suite with one queen size bed including four twin and double guest rooms. The master suite lobby is adorned with four glass etched panels of charts that shows destinations St David has chartered in. These depict Corsica and Sardinia, the Peloponnese and the Windward Islands in the Caribbean. A short corridor leads off the lobby to this master suite. Sturdy sliding doors provide all the privacy you need.

In the lounge, you will find a corner sofa and armchair upholstered in ivory damask. The sofa faces a wide screen TV, ideal for watching your favourite programmes. An en suite bathroom is situated to port. With a spa-like feel, the bathroom features an eye-catching sand coloured Italian marble bath complimented by a his and her sink. The checked marble floor is in grey and amber. There are also two showers for guests to use.

The St David sleeping quarters can be accessed by a short staircase which has a stunning gold balustrade. The skylight above provides spectacular views as you sail to new horizons and beyond. Look up at the hand painted ceiling mural by the Italian Luca Battini. Painted in a soft pastel blue and gold leaf, it matches the soft furnishings and carpet perfectly. Interior designer Andrew Winch has achieved what he intended to do. His Rocco style of design incorporates soft colour schemes and plenty of natural light.

To reach the four guest state rooms, go down the central staircase to the lower deck. Here there is a fabulous globe sculpture, designed by David Harbour, in 24 carat gold, a masterpiece indeed! This globe is used as a drinks cabinet with an exterior depicting the mythical land of Xanadu. Just as a matter of interest, the motor yacht St David was named after the designer of this outstanding globe.

A VIP suite is situated stretching across the full beam of the lower deck. This comprises of a sofa, desk, spacious mirrored closets and a large bed. There’s also a huge bathroom decorated in grained gold marble. Further guest accommodation comprises of two twin and two double cabins. They are named after Italian hotels and are furnished in different colours ranging from pastel green to cream, gold to rose.

Each of St David’s cabins is extravagantly lavish with luxurious marble bathrooms and individual pieces of stunning artwork.

Let’s turn our attention to the upper deck. The aft deck and sky lounge located here are known as the Tuscan palazzo. With light wooden wall panels, this lounge has a jaw-dropping, bright, airy feel while still providing a touch of romance in its décor. In pastel green, there’s a built-in sofa and to complete the scene, a wooden topped coffee table. A widescreen TV and games table is situated opposite alongside an inside-outside dining area. 

The delightful inside-outside dining area has a wooden table, a lovely mosaic floor in turquoise, white and gold tiles and seats 12 people comfortably. The sunlight filters through a sky light located above the seating area. For guests who enjoy dining al fresco, there are wide, curved glass doors that slide open so you can overlook the aft deck. 

Expect to indulge in the finest dining experiences on board the St David. Have a spot of breakfast or lunch on the top deck or an afternoon tea in the relaxing sky lounge. Socialise in the main saloon for the very best gastronomic dining experience. The upper deck is also a multi-purpose entertainment area with a staircase to port that goes to the sundeck above.

The sun deck

The versatile sun deck is a daytime and after dark hub of activity on any charter yacht. St David is no exception. During a yacht charter voyage many guests like to keep up their exercise routines. On the St David removing the forward sun pads reveals two Woodway running machines, an exercise bike and exercise machine. What could be better than working out while enjoying the splendid views? 

There’s also a gym at the port side of the radar arch with all the equipment you need for a full-on workout. Speak to the onboard personal fitness instructor about training. He or she can guide you through a workout tailored to suit your needs. Fitness activities are varied and fun to do. This could include boxing training, circuits, paddle board fitness and even hiking on shore.

After exercising, relax in the large spa pool. A screen serves as a monitor for outdoor movies or you can watch popular sporting events as you relax in the bubbling Jacuzzi. Now that sounds like heaven on earth. Other features on the aft deck include a large round dining table under the radar arch. Want to do a little more sunbathing? Step up to a second sunbathing area where you will find brightly coloured parasols and comfortable chaise loungers. 

Get ready to party

St David is a superyacht designed for luxury family adventures and outdoor living at its very best. The dedicated crew will welcome you on board to make your home from home vacation unforgettable. This popular superyacht is also known as one of the best party yachts in the world of yacht charter. When the sun sets, it’s time to party. 

The sundeck can be changed into an exciting entertainment spot where seating is removed to create space for a DJ. The plinth of sun pads can also be removed to make additional space for a stage to host a live band. If you prefer, why not sing along using the portable Karaoke system?

Soak up the atmosphere as the fun factor goes up a notch, it’s what superyacht partying is all about. The dance floor is in easy reach of the bar where the disco lights and sound system helps to complete a night club feel. If you want to tone things down a little, formal entertainment is also catered. Modular furniture can seat up to 24 guests for a sit-down dinner and drinks. 

Time to relax

Now it’s time to recharge your batteries after a night of partying or a day of water sport activities. On board masseuses offer a variety of spa treatments. These treatments include invigorating full body exfoliation and pampering sessions. To improve circulation, have a Swedish massage or a signature lift and firm leg massage. How about an express manicure or pedicure? A private spa room is on the upper deck where guests have the option of many different beauty or massage treatments. 

Ready for a swim?

There’s easy access too to a large swimming platform to dive into the crystal-clear waters. As you would expect from a superyacht of this calibre, a great selection of water toys is available. Have the time of your life on Seabobs, a Seadoo, sea kayaks or an awesome 7.5m Tresco “limousine” tender. For children, St David also has a range of towable toys, inflatables and inflatable paddle boards, great fun. 

Diving and fishing enthusiasts are catered for too. The St David has plenty of equipment to while away the hours either scuba diving or fishing.

All loyal Below Deck viewers know that charter guests tend to produce as much drama as the crew of any super yacht. Season 11 of Bravo’s flagship series is continuing the trend. In this exclusive clip, the charter guests are finishing what was surely an excellent meal topped off by a dessert of profiteroles with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and fresh whipped cream from Chef Anthony Iracane. As Chef Stew Fraser Olender begins to serve the group two people at a time, the inebriated primary guest, Tina, takes a big bite of her dessert immediately.

“It takes like egg,” Tina complains drunkenly as the rest of her friends wait for their plates. “Did you taste it already?” asks her friend Eileen. “I hate it,” Tina replies bluntly. Furious with Tina’s rudeness for not waiting till everyone was served, charter guest Beth speaks up. “She did. She didn’t wait for everybody. How rude.” Unbothered, Tina points out, “It’s fucking ice cream; it’s gonna melt.”

Beth ignores Tina’s response and continues to talk shit about her bad behavior. “I can hardly wait to have a bite. I was waiting for everybody else though,” Beth continues, “It’s kind of how I roll.” Spurred by Beth’s outspokenness, Eileen confronts Tina about her rudeness. “If you are a polite person, you wait till everyone has theirs.” Shocked by getting called out for her total disregard of her guests and Chef Anthony’s hard work, Tina decides to take action. “Everything ok here?” asks Fraser as he comes in with the last plate. “No, I’m done,” says Tina and leaves the table.

Shocked by her shortness, Fraser retreats into the staging area where bosun Jared Woodin is standing. “Such a weird exchange,” begins Fraser. “The primary was like ‘I’m done.'” “Just now?” asks Jared in disbelief. “Stunning,” says Fraser simply. Below deck: 8 charter guests with the worst attitudes.

Some charter guests have made outrageous demands from the Below Deck crew while on the yacht. One of the guests has even taken their tips back.

• Only a few charter guests on Below Deck have been nice, like Justin Guarini from season.
• Delores, Timothy Sykes, Barrie & Tony have been terrible guests ruining crew morale.
• Erica Rose and Charley Walters were labeled as the worst guests due to their high-maintenance behavior.

Hundreds of charter guests have appeared on the Below Deck franchise over the last 11 years, but only a few have been nice. The famous Bravo series first premiered in 2013 and gave fans a more intimate look at the lives of the yacht crew and their encounters with the charter guests. Laura Desiree from Below Deck Down Under season 2 has been among the newest and most memorable guests. She was extremely inappropriate throughout her stay on Captain Jason Chambers’ yacht, making wild demands such as asking Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph to cover her in chocolate.

Justin Guarini from Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 was also very memorable. The American Idol season 1 runner-up surprised viewers by boarding Captain Glenn Shephard’s yacht a few months ago. He immediately left a mark on fans by being one of the nicer charter guests. In one instance, Justin complimented Chef Ileisha Dell by claiming her cuisine was out of the world. Despite some great charter guests, there have been more than a few with terrible attitudes.

8 alexis bellino, below deck season 7.

Since 2013, numerous rude guests have appeared on Below Deck . Alexis Bellino appeared as a guest on the original series who angered the crew with her excessive PDA. The Real Housewives of Orange County alumni appeared in Below Deck with her boyfriend at the time, Andy Bohn. Immediately, she creeped fans out with her PDA and made Kate Chastain and Courtney Skippon roll their eyes. Later, Alexis took to X and called out the crew members. She wrote,

“pot calling the kettle black,”

taking a shot at Kate and Courtney’s boatmances with Tanner Sterback and Brian de Saint Pern.

Below Deck Season 8

Delores from Below Deck season 8 was extremely inappropriate and a terrible guest overall. In episode 11, she gets so drunk and later tries to have a late-night swim. She made the entire crew scared for her well-being by attempting to swim in the ocean at night. Even when Captain Lee Rosbach warned her, Delores jumped into the sea and broke safety rules. As expected, the Captain had to send her home the next day. During her final scene, she again jumped off the mini-boat to shore , proving she hadn’t learned anything.

6 Justin Richards

Below deck season 9.

When Justin Richards appeared on Below Deck season 9, it looked like he wouldn’t be too much trouble. However, the charter guest proved everyone wrong by creating a big scene. In one of the episodes, Justin got very drunk before dinner alongside primary charter guests Michael Durham and Terri Foss. He then argued with them and got so angry he chose to leave the table. Justin then ate his dinner on the swim platform, creating unnecessary drama . At one point, Justin even threatened to throw someone overboard, which was out of the line.

5 Timothy Sykes

Below deck season 2.

Like Delores, Timothy Sykes was one of Below Deck 's most disrespectful charter guests. Timothy complained about small things like the internet and reduced the crew’s tips in front of Captain Lee because of minor food complaints. While replying to a fan, Captain Lee shared his first-hand experience of Timothy and why he was a terrible charter guest. He said (via Cheatsheet ), “Timothy Sykes took back some of the tips, 5K after he had already handed it to me and said he was taking some back because his 19-year-old girlfriend didn’t like her dinner after he ordered it for her.”

4 barrie & tony, below deck sailing yacht season 2.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt-Barlow were charter guests on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2. They boarded Captain Glenn’s yacht to take their family on a luxury holiday through Croatia. Unfortunately, they were on their worst behavior throughout their time on the boat, leading to petty drama and cringe-worthy moments. The first thing viewers disliked the most about Barrie was his mean attitude . Tony was just as bad as his former partner, with his high maintenance and lack of self-awareness.

3 Erica Rose

Below Deck Sailing Yacht guest Erica Rose was the worst charter guest ever after her appearance. One reason why fans felt Erica was the worst was her high-maintenance behavior. The attorney was constantly throwing orders, using the Stews as her maids, and being inappropriate overall. Crew members like Daisy Kelliher felt demeaned by Erica’s demands and rude behavior. She told the cameras, “These people are disrespectful,” adding that they are unpredictable and scary. Erica had an issue with everyone from the Chef to the stews until the end.

2 Charley Walters

Charley Walters was on Below Deck season 8, episode 14. He was a returning guest, having made other appearances on the Bravo show before. One of the worst demands from Charley was an inclination toward embarrassing male crew members. At one time, he made them wear short speedos and served them dinner and drinks. He also made outrageous demands from the Chef, making others suffer for his enjoyment.

While Charley later said producers told him to act badly for the drama, it doesn’t change the fact that he did it without remorse.

1 Dean Slover

The self-proclaimed food-lover and traveler, Dean Slover, was a difficult charter guest . Despite his past difficult life, Dean didn’t make it easy for fans to like him. When he debuted on the show, he made an extensive preference sheet on the spot, pushing the crew to run around trying to fulfill his demands. He also showed a bossy attitude toward others, thinking he was the biggest deal on Captain’s yacht. From demanding rocket ship-shaped towels to requesting meals at precise times , Dean did ruin the entire Below Deck crew’s mood, be it the Stews or the Chef.
