News | Congressional Cup Stadium in Long Beach rededicated as regatta begins

Mayor Robert Garcia launched this year’s “granddaddy” of sailboat match racing on Tuesday, April 19, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the rededication of Long Beach’s Congressional Cup Stadium.

The stadium, in front of the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier — at 39th Place and E. Ocean Boulevard — is the city’s ocean race course that hosts numerous regattas, including the Ficker Cup, and the high school and collegiate Rose Bowl Regatta.

The biggest, of course, is the Congressional Cup , the 57th annual iteration of which began on Tuesday. The regatta runs until Saturday.

“In 2013, the race area was designated as Congressional Cup Stadium,” said Jon Turigliatto, Long Beach Yacht Club commodore. “This built upon the U.S. Congress chartering the Congressional Cup in 1964. As the Long Beach Yacht Club collaborates with the community and the city of Long Beach leading up to the Olympics, we are re-dedicating Congressional Cup Stadium.”

Long Beach is slated to host the sailing events for the 2028 Summer Olympics.

“This world class yachting race brings in top sailors from around the world,” Turigliatto said aboutthe Congressional Cup. “The global sailing world’s eyes are on Long Beach during race week, which also is an excellent opportunity to showcase our beautiful city and, in particular, our coastline.”

Garcia cut the ribbon on Tuesday.

Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia speaks on Tuesday, Apr. 19,...

“This is going to be a pretty incredible week,” Garcia said as he stood on the pier next to the Congressional Cup trophy, which was guarded by two Troop 65 Eagle Scouts. “Thanks to all the police and fire personnel that serve our city. I look at this event as the kick off to the start of the 2028 Olympics, where all eyes will be on Long Beach.

“The Long Beach Yacht Club has been an integral part of Long Beach’s aquatic history since the founding in 1929,” the mayor added. “The club has been a catalyst for bringing world class sailing to our city, the aquatic capital of America.”

Turigliatto gave Garcia an LBYC burgee — a flag with a sailing club’s emblem — signed by the 10 skippers in this year’s Congressional Cup.

The first regatta in 1965 took place offshore and spectators needed to be on a boat or use binoculars to observe the racing. In 1994, Regatta chairman Bob Kristine moved the race to the area around the pier.

“This is the fruition of the vision we hoped for decades ago,” Kristine said in a phone interview, “making it easier for everyone to witness the racing up close and observe the cat and mouse strategy game of match racing.”

Each year, the regatta builds upon the success of previous years and regatta officials visit other venues.

Randy Smith, who is on the umpire team for this regatta, said the Long Beach course and the set up for spectators to see the race is the best he’s seen.

“(It has a) unique blend of orientation to the prevailing winds, proximity to the start/finish line and pre-start match racing action,” Smith said, “and the elevated viewing area to really see the wind shifts on the water, the current patterns and the layout of the course.”

Smith has been involved with the event as a competitor, umpire, principal race officer or event chair since 1990.

New this year is a special “Congressional Cup Walk of Fame.”

Along the pier, there are circular emblems with the names of the 31 winning skippers over the past 56 years that have taken home the coveted crimson blazer.

Among those names is defending champion and five-time Congressional Cup winner Taylor Canfield (USA).

Besides Taylor, this year’s competitors include four-time winner Ian Williams (GBR), 2009 champion Johnnie Berntsson (SWE), Harry Price (AUS), Chris Poole (USA), Nick Egnot-Johnson (NZL), Pearson Potts (USA) and Dave Hood (USA). The final two competitors, Jeppe Borch (DEN) and Emil Kjaer (DEN), sailed into their berths via the Ficker Cup qualifier last weekend.

The Congressional Cup kicks off the 2022 World Match Racing Tour, the longest running professional series in the sport of sailing.

A double round robin series throughout the week will lead to the final matches on Friday and Saturday. The racing begins at 11:30 a.m. daily.

There is free spectator viewing, with live commentary, shaded stadium seating, golf cart shuttles, and food and drink vendors. For information, go to thecongressionalcup.com.

APRIL 2023 DATES SET FOR 58TH LONG BEACH YACHT CLUB CONGRESSIONAL CUP

  • Ficker Cup 2023,
  • WMRT Congressional Cup

LONG BEACH, CA (11 August, 2022)- Dates have been announced for the 58th Congressional Cup regatta and Ficker Cup qualifier hosted by Long Beach Yacht Club: with Congressional Cup slated April 18 to 22, 2023 preceded by the Ficker Cup April 13 to 15, 2023.

In making the announcement 2023 Chair Bob Piercy said, “I am both honored and a bit intimidated to be chairing this esteemed, world-class event. The Congressional Cup is known as an elite competition and LBYC, the past chairpersons and volunteers have raised the bar even higher. However, after working on the Executive Board for the past four years, I am ready and eager to take on the challenge of the 58th Congressional Cup regatta!”

The Congressional Cup has been regarded as the ‘grandfather of match racing’ since 1965. The event established LBYC as an innovator in the game of match racing; pioneering on-the-water umpiring and setting a world-wide standard that endures today.

As a paragon on the global match racing circuit and Championship level stop on the World Match Racing Tour, the Congressional Cup is guaranteed the hottest sailing talent and action on the waters of Long Beach each year.

The format for Congressional Cup 2023 will continue as a 10-team, double round robin series, followed by semi- and petit finals, with a final stage to determine the victor of the trophy and prestigious Crimson Blazer.

In Congressional Cup 2022 Ian Williams (GBR) evened the score on decades-long rival Taylor Canfield (USA) when he triumphed in the finals after a lively five-day series in breezy conditions. Williams now matches Canfield with five Congressional Cup titles each – and fans hope both will return for another raucous bout of competition.

The 2023 line-up will be announced later this year, with the final two entrants advancing from the Ficker Cup mid-April 2023. “Tony Mansour will do an outstanding job chairing next year’s Ficker Cup,” Piercy noted, adding, “We will continue the process we instituted last year of combining the Congressional Cup and Ficker Cup selection committees, to choose the best contenders possible for both events, and guarantee the highest level of competition.”

Congressional Cup is challenged in a fleet of identical 37-foot Catalina sloops designed specifically for LBYC’s match racing series, which guarantees an even platform and exciting competition. Racing is held directly off the city’s Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier, where spectators can view the thrilling matches for free, beginning around 1130AM each day.

“The City of Long Beach is a waterfront playground in the heart of Southern California,” Piercy declared, and has been designated the ‘Aquatic Capital of America.’ With over seven miles of beaches, great ocean breezes and two large marinas, residents and visitors alike enjoy water-based activities that include sailing, diving, kayaking, kite surfing, outrigger canoeing, paddle boarding, rowing, scuba diving, swimming, water polo, water skiing and much more.

“Due to the consistency and strength of the prevailing winds Long Beach was chosen as the site for sailing events in the 1984 Olympic Games, and will again host the sailing events for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics,” Piercy continued. He expects the 2023 Congressional Cup time slot to deliver those same stellar conditions. “April has always been a great month to sail in Long Beach, with steady breezes and warming weather, ahead of the busy summer regatta schedule. Our April date took a lot of time and research to establish, but we are now set, and already gearing up for a fantastic event!”

The world’s top match racing skippers will return to Long Beach, Calif. April 18 to 22, 2023 for the 58th Congressional Cup regatta – presented by Long Beach Yacht Club, and a premier event on the prestigious World Match Racing Tour.

Reigning 2022 Congressional Cup Champion Ian Williams (GBR) will return to defend his title and clinch the crown as the winningest skipper in Congressional Cup history. But it won’t be without challenge! On the roster are the top match racing skippers on earth, as ranked by World Sailing: the governing body for the sport of sailing. Number-one ranked Chris Poole (USA) aims to continue his dogged climb up the Congressional Cup ladder. He finished third in the Spring 2022 running – edging out past-champion (2009) Johnie Berntsson (SWE), who also returns eager to add another Crimson Blazer to his wardrobe. There’s Jeppe Borch (DEN) who ranks number three; plus fifth-ranked Eric Monnin (SUI): back after a 2022 ‘babymoon’ hiatus. A perennial Congressional Cup favorite, in 2021 Monnin captured his first podium finish and is poised to continue his ascent.

The list goes on! The lineup includes Nick Egnot-Johnson (NZL) who was recently crowned 2022 World Sailing Match Racing World Champion; plus Harry Price (AUS) and hometown favorite David Hood (USA) – all veterans of Congressional Cup racing. Rounding out the Congressional Cup roster will be the top two finishers in the April 13 to 15 Ficker Cup regatta. Opener for the 2023 WMRT and a prominent Grade Two event in its own right, the Ficker Cup also serves as a qualifier for the Congressional Cup. The 2023 field is fiery, and competition promises to be thrilling when racing begins April 18!

Congressional Cup is recognized as the ‘grandfather’ of modern world-class match racing. Founded by Long Beach Yacht Club in 1965, the event set the standard for top-level match racing worldwide, pioneering the concept of on-the-water umpiring in a spectator-friendly venue.

After a practice day April 17, 2023, racing will commence April 18 off Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier at roughly 11:30 am each day. Five days of racing will see the sailors compete in a double round-robin format that gives competitors twice the chance to familiarize with the boats and conditions, and sharpen their skills. Famed for turning the leaderboard upside down, the 10-boat double round-robin format promises spirited contests as teams pair off and battle round the course: a delight to racers and spectators alike.

Matches are held directly off the pier where spectators can enjoy live commentary and camaraderie. After three days of round-robins the leaders will advance into semi-finals and petit finals, culminating with the final matches Saturday April 22, where the winner of the Congressional Cup will receive the coveted Crimson Blazer. The Crimson Blazer is yacht racing’s equivalent to the Masters Tournament Green Jacket: a symbol of victory in one of the most prestigious sailing events in the world, and a gateway to the America’s Cup.

The Ficker Cup was introduced in 1980 to honor Bill Ficker, a legendary yachtsman, Star Class world champion, and America’s Cup and Congressional Cup victor. This year, the three leading finishers in the Ficker Cup will qualify for an invitation to the Congressional Cup, where they will face off against nine other top-ranked match-racing skippers in five days of fiery competition.

Long Beach YC selected a field of eight skippers culled from the top male, female and youth skippers from around the globe to compete for the Ficker Cup. The competitors are Rocco Attili (ITA), Aurélien Pierroz (FRA), Megan Thomson (NZL), St. Francis Yacht Club member Nicole Breault (USA), Cole Tapper (AUS), Peter Wickwire (CAN), Long Beach Yacht Club’s Dave Hood (USA) and Scott Dickson (USA).

2024 Ficker Cup Regatta Chair Steve Meyer commented, “Thomson took second in the 2023 Ficker Cup and made her Congressional Cup debut last year, followed by a stunning third-place finish in the World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) Finals in December. Breault earned her Ficker Cup berth by winning the 2023 California Dreamin’ Series, and is a three-time Ficker Cup veteran. Hood qualified for Ficker Cup with a victory in the 2023 Butler Cup, and already has an invitation to the Congressional Cup. His credentials are just as impressive off the water as on; he is a senior staff commodore at LBYC. And Dickson, although he hasn’t been active on the match-racing circuit in recent years, has won more Ficker Cup trophies than any other skipper in history. You will see some of the best sailing talent once again coming to Long Beach, California, for our renowned match-racing events!”

Ficker Cup

Between the Ficker Cup and Congressional Cup events, 13 of the world’s top 20 match-racing skippers will be onsite at LBYC this April. This profusion of sailing talent promises excitement for participants and spectators alike, as the teams compete in the thrilling game of match racing held directly off Long Beach’s Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier.

Ficker Cup racing begins Friday, April 19, and continues through Sunday, April 21, with matches from noon until 5 p.m. daily. The Congressional Cup follows shortly after, with racing April 24 to 28.

Line-up for 2024 Congressional Cup

Published on January 10th, 2024 by Editor -->

The 2024 Congressional Cup returns for the 59th edition on April 24-28 in Long Beach, CA. As a leading event of the World Match Racing Tour, defending champion Chris Poole (USA) will lead the line-up of competitors which also includes four-time Congressional Cup winner Gavin Brady (USA) who returns after a dozen-year hiatus.

“The Congressional Cup is the grandfather of match racing and brings world class sailing talent to Long Beach Yacht Club each year,” said Tony Mansour, 2024 Congressional Cup Chair. “This year we literally have all of the highest ranked skippers in the world flying here to compete for the distinct honor of the Crimson Blazer.”

Racing in Catalina 37s, the roster also includes top ten ranked match racing skippers such as 2009 Congressional Cup winner Johnie Berntsson (SWE), Jeppe Borch (DEN), Eric Monnin (SUI), Mati Sepp (EST) and Nick Egnot-Johnson (NZL) plus Dave Hood (USA). Two final contenders will advance from the Ficker Cup Regatta held on April 19-21.

LBYC introduced the Congressional Cup in 1965, innovating the game of match racing and pioneering on-the-water umpiring. When the World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) was launched in 2000, Congressional Cup became a premier stop on the schedule. “We are delighted to continue our successful and long-term partnership with the Long Beach Yacht Club,” noted James Pleasance, Executive Director, WMRT.

long beach yacht club congressional cup

“The Congressional Cup has really become a firm fixture on the international match racing calendar. It is certainly an event that every aspiring match racing champion wants to win, and add their name to the impressive list of past Congressional Cup winners.”

Defending 2023 champion Poole added, “The Congressional Cup is one of the most difficult events to get into and even more difficult to win. The who’s who of yacht racing have all competed for a Crimson Blazer and a chance to put their name on the Congressional Cup. That is why I’ve worked so hard to get here, to compete against the best on a level playing field.”

Poole first hit the Long Beach race course in 2013 and steadily ascended the leader board, finishing the 2023 event undefeated in every match.

“My approach to sailing and match racing was to never think I couldn’t be as good as my sailing heroes,” added Poole. “I have always believed I could be one of the best sailors in the world if I keep working on improvement. This is a sport that rewards those with a certain mental focus and self-criticism to know they can always be better than the day before.”

Competition takes place off the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier with live commentary and free spectating. The event is live streamed starting April 26.

April 2023 Dates Set For 58th Long Beach Yacht Club Congressional Cup

aug10 2022 1s

In making the announcement 2023 Chair Bob Piercy said, "I am both honored and a bit intimidated to be chairing this esteemed, world-class event. The Congressional Cup is known as an elite competition and LBYC, the past chairpersons and volunteers have raised the bar even higher. However, after working on the Executive Board for the past four years, I am ready and eager to take on the challenge of the 58th Congressional Cup regatta!"

The Congressional Cup has been regarded as the 'grandfather of match racing' since 1965. The event established LBYC as an innovator in the game of match racing; pioneering on-the-water umpiring and setting a world-wide standard that endures today.

As a paragon on the global match racing circuit and Championship level stop on the World Match Racing Tour, the Congressional Cup is guaranteed the hottest sailing talent and action on the waters off Long Beach each year.

"Tony Mansour will do an outstanding job chairing next year's Ficker Cup," Piercy noted, adding, "We will continue the process we instituted last year of combining the Congressional Cup and Ficker Cup selection committees, to choose the best contenders possible for both events and guarantee the highest level of competition."

Congressional Cup is challenged in a fleet of identical 37-foot Catalina sloops designed specifically for LBYC's match racing series, which assures an even platform and exciting competition. Racing is held directly off the city's Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier, where spectators can view the thrilling matches for free, beginning around 1130AM each day.

aug10 2022 2s

"Due to the consistency and strength of the prevailing winds Long Beach was chosen as the site for sailing events in the 1984 Olympic Games, and will again host the sailing events for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics," Piercy continued. He expects the 2023 Congressional Cup time slot to deliver those same stellar conditions. "April has always been a great month to sail in Long Beach, with steady breezes and warming weather, ahead of the busy summer regatta schedule. Our April date took a lot of time and research to establish, but we are now set and already gearing up for a fantastic event!"

LONG BEACH YACHT CLUB Long Beach Yacht Club, the premier club of Long Beach, Calif. was established in 1929 and is recognized as a leading organization in the international yachting community for its commitment to excellence in yacht racing and innovation in race management. LBYC is home to many outstanding sailors and Olympic champions. In addition to hosting numerous local, national and international yachting events, the Club's member families enjoy a year-round calendar of social, yachting and junior activities at its beautiful clubhouse on the shore of Alamitos Bay.

Long Beach Yacht Club Announces Lineup for 2023 Congressional Cup

long beach yacht club congressional cup

LONG BEACH —  The world’s top match racing skippers will return to Long Beach from April 18 – 22 for the 58th Congressional Cup regatta – presented by Long Beach Yacht Club— a premier event on the prestigious World Match Racing Tour.

Reigning 2022, Congressional Cup Champion Ian Williams (GBR) will return to defend his title and clinch the crown as the winningest skipper in Congressional Cup history. However, Williams’ attempt won’t go without challenge. On the roster this year are some of the top match racing skippers on Earth, as ranked by World Sailing :  the governing body for the sport of sailing .  Number-one-ranked Chris Poole (USA) seeks to continue his determined climb up the Congressional Cup ladder. Poole finished third in the Spring 2022 running – edging out a past champion (2009), Johnie Berntsson (SWE), who also returns this year, eager to add another Crimson Blazer to his closet. Jeppe Borch (DEN), who ranks number three, will also be appearing, in addition to fifth-ranked Eric Monnin (SUI), back after a 2022 ‘babymoon’ hiatus. A perennial Congressional Cup favorite, in 2021, Monnin captured his first podium finish and is poised to continue his ascent.

But that’s not all, folks. The lineup includes Nick Egnot-Johnson (NZL), who was recently crowned 2022 World Sailing Match Racing World Champion, plus Harry Price (AUS) and hometown favorite David Hood (USA) – all of who are veterans of Congressional Cup racing. As a result, the 2023 field is vibrant, and competition will be thrilling when racing begins on April 18.

The Congressional Cup is recognized as the ‘grandfather’ of modern world-class match racing. Founded by Long Beach Yacht Club in 1965, the event set the standard for top-level match racing worldwide, pioneering the concept of on-the-water umpiring in a spectator-friendly venue.

After a practice day on April 17, racing will begin on April 18 off Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier at roughly 11:30 am each day. Five days of racing will see the sailors compete in a double round-robin format that gives competitors two chances to familiarize themselves with the boats and conditions and sharpen their skills. Famed for turning the leaderboard upside down, the 10-boat double round-robin format promises spirited contests as teams pair off and battle around the course.

Matches are held directly off the pier, where spectators can enjoy live commentary and camaraderie. After three days of round-robins, the leaders will advance into semi-finals and petit finals, culminating with the final matches Saturday, April 22, where the winner of the Congressional Cup will receive the coveted Crimson Blazer. The Crimson Blazer is yacht racing’s equivalent to the Masters’ Tournament Green Jacket: a symbol of victory in one of the most prestigious sailing events in the world and a gateway to the America’s Cup.

Grunion sports, grunion sports | on the water: maine maritime wins the pola harbor cup.

long beach yacht club congressional cup

Maine Maritime recently won the POLA Harbor Cup for the first time since the regatta’s first two iterations in 2008 and 2009, with the U.S. Navy coming in second and the College of Charleston placing third.

Cal Maritime, from which the Harbor Cup’s founders hailed, came in fourth.

But speaking of Cal Martime, let’s dicuss the mission of the Harbor Cup, which takes place at the Los Angeles Yacht Club. It exists to provide young men and women the opportunity to enjoy competitive offshore sailing, with a focus on Corinthian values, sportsmanship and ocean stewardship.

(Courtesy of Cal Maritime)

The visionaries who founded the cup were Los Angeles Yacht Club Staff Commodore Jim Morgan and Long Beach Yacht Club Staff Commodore John Z. Strong. Both are Cal Maritime grads and they worked together in the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

On Friday evening, after Harbor Cup racing, there was a reception of Cal Maritime alumni, the students who were racing, and other folks who shared a passion for the Cal State University that’s located in Vallejo.

Their sailing coach, Kerry Deaver, was there and and spoke about the difference between college sailing teams said.

“Yale kids don’t go to sea when they graduate,” he said.

Deaver is the daughter of Richard Deaver, the 1976 Congressional Cup-winning skipper and Olympic sailor.

Retired Vice Admiral Michael J. Dumont, who is now the interim president of Cal Maritime, addressed the group and announced that in May, as part of the university’s graduation ceremonies, Jim Morgan would be awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Cal Maritime.

His volunteer work for the university includes not only his Harbor Cup activities but also mentoring high school students and encouraging many of them to become first-generation college students at Cal Maritime.

Morgan developed a “boot camp” for Banning High School students that included a campus visit to Vallejo, Strong said. As a result of Morgan’s recruitment efforts at schools near the Port of LA, students from the area outnumber students from any other area in the United States.

Boat rental moves

Harbor Light Yacht Club Marina, Long Beach’s popular membership-based boat rental company, with operations near the Queen Mary, has relocated its rental boats south — to San Diego.

“The marina we operate out of in Long Beach has not been able to negotiate a lease extension with the Hotel Maya and the hotel has decided to close our marina,” an email to members said. “We are therefore forced to close our Long Beach club and are in the process of moving the fleet black back to San Diego.

“Unfortunately, “there are ) no other marinas in the Long Beach Los Angeles harbor that can accommodate the fleet along with an office to run the operation,” the email added. “We regret having to close the Long Beach club but at this point we have no other viable options.”

Hybrid boat show

The Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo North America Exhibition and Conference, to be held at Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, on March 13 and 14, is dedicated solely to showcasing the very latest and next-generation electric and hybrid marine propulsion technologies, charging equipment and fuel-saving solutions.

Several charter boat operators in the greater Long Beach area have been exploring green alternatives over the past several years. The expo will have displays and presentations on green marine propulsion systems, emission-reduction fuels, hybrid systems and charging technologies. It is anticipated that announcements regarding orders of vessels — to be used locally — could be announced this week.

These are the biggest and most expensive boats at 2024's Palm Beach yacht show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.

Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.

These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam, or Turkish bath — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.
