The waiters on the boat were nice, the atmosphere was good but only from the moment the alcohol started being served 🙂 before it was more of a boat ride It is approximately after 30 minutes and the stop to jump into the water that the alcohol begins to come (logical) and therefore the atmosphere begins little by little.

During our holiday week in Barcelona, the boat parties were not to be missed, according to friends. It was definitely something on our TO DO list for the holidays. They were absolutely right about this too. The weather, the water, the drinks, it was all done. Definitely recommended if you go to Barcelona. I went to the BBQ boat with friends last week, it was super hot and the boat made a swimming stop when we were just on the water 🙂 that was very nice to cool down. Furthermore, the food was served afterwards, which is also recommended! Drinks were also included in the price. It was a bit windy when you sat on the roof of the catamaran, but you also had a ground floor with standing tables. Would definitely recommend it if you go to Barcelona.

Summer is coming and that can mean only one thing: time to launch the notorious Barcelona Boat Parties!!! These booty-full booze cruises set sail several times a week in high season for a raucous romp on the Mediterranean that no self-respecting sea dog will want to miss. Girls in bikinis (definitely), guys in mankinis (hopefully not… but probably), top class tunes and enough beer to sink a ship – wait, float a ship – make for an unforgettable ride.

These Ibiza-style events are undoubtedly some of the best things you can do in the Catalan capital, and the Barcelona Life crew themselves are known to put on a little lippie and set sail on this hedonistic adventure on the high seas.

3. Catamaran Out BBQ Boat (€50)

If jumping off the boat into the warm Mediterranean sea is your top priority, then select this 3 hour catamaran cruise, which sets sail several times a day during summer weekends, and is the only boat party to run on a Sunday. After about an hour, this beautiful vessel, which holds 60-90 people, will throw anchor and you can splash around in the water with floats, toys and snorkels to your heart’s content. Then its time to fire up the BBQ for a feast of sausage, burgers and plenty of veggie options and enjoy a refreshing beer or two (or sangria if you prefer).

Includes: BBQ, swim stop, 2 beers or sangrias per person, unlimited soft drinks.

A boat party Barcelona story….

We had heard about Boat Party Barcelona from some of our friends who had been travelling through Europe the previous summer. They had travelled through 7 different countries and 6 weeks and when I asked them what was the highlight of their trip they unanimously said ‘the boat party in Barcelona’ So we all had high expectations and booked it before we arrived because we were told they sold out fast.

We arrived at the Port Olympic not sure what to expect. There was an air of anticipation as we all signed in with a member of staff and headed aboard. The boat itself was a two story boat with a bar on the lower level and then the dance floor and DJ set up on the upper level. As we stepped on one of the members of staff handed us a beer with a hole near the base of the can and told us to wait until everyone was on board and then we would all shotgun the beer together. We hadn’t shot gunned a beer since college but when everyone was ready every person shot gunned a beer at the same time and the party kicked off!

As the boat left the harbour and sailed into the Mediterranean we looked back on the most spectacular view of the city. We had climbed up Mont Juic the day before and that view was amazing but seeing the city from the sea was a very unique way to see it.

I have been to a lot of crazy parties on my travels but the boat party Barcelona was insane! The staff that worked on the boat were mostly other travellers but they certainly knew how to throw a party! Soon after setting off whipped cream and chocolate sauce came out which were sprayed on peoples’ chests and subsequently licked off. Two girls got really into it and put of quite a show for everyone! People were writing funny slogans on each other with marker pens. On the tables downstairs people were playing games of flip cup and beer pong.

One of the best things about the party was that it was an open bar so the beer and sangria was unlimited. We spent so long playing games downstairs we decided to check out the dance floor and went to the top deck. When we got up top we found a full on rave happening! The DJ was playing some absolute bangers and everyone was jumping up and down like mad to the music.

Boat party Barcelona was a really unique type of party. I’ve travelled to many different parts of the world and had more nights out than I can remember! But the fact that we were all on a boat sailing around the Mediterranean made it so different to anything I had experienced before. Maybe it was the unlimited alcohol or the pure atmosphere that being on a boat entails but I looked around and everyone was having the time of their lives! I couldn’t help thinking of the number of times I’d had the opportunity to go on a boat party and I hadn’t take it and I’m kicking myself for missing out on them because it is such an epic experience!

After sailing for a while the boat anchored and it gave us all the chance to jump off the boat and dive into the sea. The staff threw some inflatables into the water so the party moved from the boat into the ocean! People were having diving competitions off the side into the water and cans were thrown to people who did the craziest dive. We got back on as the boat was due to depart I was glad to see members of staff clearing everything out of the water and making sure nothing was left behind!

On the sail back to the Port the party was absolutely going off on the dance floor on the top deck! It seemed like 90% of the people were upstairs bouncing about to the music. The DJ was amazing, he was playing such summer anthems that they are stuck in my head to this day! Everyone was pretty hammered by this time and so the Dutch girl I hooked up with suggested heading to the front of the boat. There was a lovely atmosphere down at the front of people laughing and joking about the craziness of the last few hours.

We sailed back into the port just as the sun was setting behind the city it was such a spectacular backdrop to end the party with. The boat party was so social we made so many friends who we still keep in touch with to this day. In fact we met some lovely Australian girls who were heading to Valencia so we travelled on with them a couple of days later.

If you are coming to Barcelona I cannot recommend Boat Party Barcelona highly enough! You will meet so many cool, fun like minded people who will want to go out and have an epic party on a boat sailing around the Mediterranean! We were all travelling on a budget so at first we did question whether it was worth it. Then Tommy pointed out that the price of the ticket was basically the same as a round of drinks back home!

When we got back to shore and walked (or stumbled!) onto the pier I totally got why Boat Party Barcelona has got such a reputation! It was an incredibly unique experience and I will be definitely signing up for any boat parties I come across in the future! Thank you so much to all the staff as well because they really got into and made sure everyone had a great time. I’ll definitely be recommending my friends to jump aboard boat party Barcelona on their next trip because it was the highlight of ours!

Our captain John could not be more accommodating for anything we needed and we had brilliant communication with Priscilla to make sure we had the best time. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a lovely relaxing afternoon. We were able to take our own food on board, play our own music and just relax and enjoy Barcelona from the sea whilst being provided with plenty of drinks. Our only issue was finding the boat as there are no signs up to indicate which boat it is you need to go on. This was quickly solved by being able to make a quick phone call but it would have been great if there was just a sign on the boat with our name or the company name on. We arrived at the beach to look forward the day ahead to enjoy a relax and sit out in the sun. But when we released it was over crowded we asked for a refund we had not got on the boat this rate.so as we asked for a refund as we wasn't made aware of it being over crowded yes we wasn't happy at this rate. We was told it could take 120 but would not of been able to lay out on the netting. • Linda P 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Enjoyable but could be better OK I did enjoy this tour but ... the food was truly awful, was hungry and stayed hungry as the burgers and saussages were not very nice and poor quality - the loo was grotty and had no loo paper (was provided after having to ask) it was fun despite this and I did enjoy the trip although the place to stop and swim was not very scenic and the only fun was leaping into the sea with a couple of inflatables - it was quite choppy so not being a great swimmer I did not. There was no explanation about where the life jackets were - perhaps catamarans don't sink. Stag party and hen party on board and was fun and good music - only couple Americans on board otherwise Spanish and Germans but we all got along great. Not a booze trip as drinking only allowed after the swim which made sense. Trip may not suit people who get sea sick easily (I don't but couple on board were sick) Fun but disappointing food. When we got on the boat, the music was just someone's play list from an iphone and the bar had a limit of two drinks per person. Either beer or very weak sangria, with no ice. There were a ton of "hen parties" so be prepared for girls bumping and grinding. You can't drink until after the water festivities are done which makes sense. You get 2 drink tickets and super mediocre food (hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad). The staff isn't overly welcoming and doesn't seemed pumped to be working on this boat. At the end of the day you get a few beers and get to jump into the sea. Bring your own towels and maybe have a drink or 2 before. Our boat also had about 7 girls who got sea sick, barfing throughout the entire boat ride. Overall cost wasn't that much so I don't regret going but definitely not the highlight of the vacation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unlike other catamarans I've been on, there was no narration as to attractions or surroundings. Boat was nice and clean. Food was as expected on a catamaran::: Burger and sausage, no buns, pasta salad, stale chips, olives and canned fruit salad. Unlimited soda and water. 2 beer or sangria with each drink ticket. More drinks available to purchase for 2€ each. Staff did some Zumba-ish dancing for a couple songs. Music was staff's iPhone but it was fun and a good mix. Barcelona Party Boat : General Information

Barcelona boat parties are a popular and fun activity for groups to enjoy together. This shared party boat includes three hours of sailing, music, food, and drinks . Basically, everything you need for a fiesta on the water!

Setting off from Barcelona’s Port Olimpic, the catamaran will cruise out over the waves where it will drop the anchor for an hour or so.

During this time you can swim, dance or just sit and soak up the sun – it’s up to you!

Once the boat party starts moving again, food will be served and you can enjoy two alcoholic drinks. Large beer or large sangria, water, and soft drinks are available.

This is a shared cruise so you can get to know locals and other people on holiday in Barcelona. A great option if you’ve come in a small group.

The Party Boat runs from late March until early October every year. The boat holds between 80 – 100 guests. In the summer it books up very quickly, so get in early!

ADVICE & WHAT TO BRING FOR A BOAT TRIP:

• Cap/sun hat
• Sports/comfortable clothing
• Raincoat in case of rain
• Bathing suits (in summer)
• Comfortable shoes with white/beige soles (no high heels or black soles!)
• Tablets to protect you from motion sickness (for example, Biodramina with caffeine) to be taken 1 hour before your trip (recommended for those who have a tendency to suffer from motion sickness)
• Other advice to avoid motion sickness: do not drink too much the night before or have a big meal right before the cruise.

Private Sailing Boat

From €50 per person H it the Med Sea with your bubbles and your besties and enjoy two hours (three and four-hour charters available on request) on the water, with music, snacks and fruit, and a bunch of beer, wine and cava. Our sailboats have space for up to 12 people, or we can charter catamarans for up to 240 people.
