Split Luxury Yacht Charter: Explore the Heart of the Adriatic
With Split Luxury Yacht Charter Guide we are taking you to the serene islands of the Split Archipelago, like Biševo with its famous Blue Cave, southern shores of Vis, Pakleni islands and Hvar
Split, as well as the entire Adriatic coast, is blessed by the mild Mediterranean climate, which means a lot of sun and heat, especially in the summer months, and very few cold and rainy days. Although there is a whole range of things you can do in Split throughout the year, such as the obligatory walk through the UNESCO-protected Diocletian’s Palace, if you love hubbub, parties and concerts, this enchanting city should definitely visit in the heart of the season.

Climate and ideal time to visit Split
In July and August, all of Split seems to be dressed summer dresses, just in time for the world-famous Ultra Europe festival (July 8-10, 2022). On the other hand, those who are into more romantic experiences will surely be delighted by the spring face of Split and the surrounding islands, which seem to wake up around Easter, as do most travel agencies, cafes and restaurants , opening their doors and welcoming first visitors.
Featured Yachts
However, it should be emphasized that for many September, and more often October, are the most desirable part of the year to visit Croatia and Split, as in pre- and post-season there are no crowds, prices are lower, and weather and sea temperatures are still pleasant for all sea-related activities.
Throughout this summer half of the year, an extremely large number of visitors decide to charter a yacht in Split because the Split area is one of the top charter destinations in Croatia .
Marinas and berths in Split archipelago
Split yacht charter is extremely popular because of the many magical surrounding destinations, but also because some of the most beautiful Croatian marinas are located in this part of the Adriatic.
ACI marina Split
The city of Split is dotted with many small, local marinas, but with 320 berths by far the most visited is ACI Marina Split (+385 (0) 98 398 850) which offers much-needed parking sports for yacht owners. In case you are looking for parking in and around ACI Marina Split, first look inside the marina.
One very attractive anchoring spot near Split is the Blue Lagoon, which is located between Veliki and Mali Krknjaš, and the much larger Veli Drvenik.
Marina Martinis Marchi
ACI marina Milna
On the island of Brač , the largest nautical center is the deep Milna cove with three marinas: ACI marina Milna (+385 (0) 98 398 851) with 170 berths, Yacht club Milna (+385 (0) 91 400 04 87) with 45 berths and Marina Vlaška (+385 (0) 99 244 7410) with 70 berths. Apart from Milna, the nearby Brač Yachting Anchorage Bobovišća (+385 (0) 91 500 1619) is also becoming increasingly popular, where you can book your place on the buoy in advance.
ACI marina Palmižana
Pakleni islands off the coast of Hvar seem to have been created for anchoring, as was the nearby ACI Marina Palmižana (+385 (0) 21 744 995) with 180 berths. The nearby Vinogradišće cove offers the possibility of buoy berths (concessionaire Đenko Meneghello +385 (0) 91 171 82 42), and in addition to providing protection from almost all winds except the south, is locally famous for a spectacular number of excellent restaurants to visit by boat .
Anchorages on Vis island
If you are aiming towards Vis, make sure to stop at Budikovac, beloved for its turquoise lagoon whose depth rarely exceeds 2 meters. One of everyone’s favorite coves on the island is Stončica, where buoys have been set up to welcome yachts, and the same concessionaire (Gradina Vis +385 (0) 21 711 121) offers buoys in the town of Vis, where boaters have 100 berths at their disposal.
In Komiža, 30 boats can be moored on the waterfront (SDZ Port Authority +385 (0) 21 339 825), and 60 buoys have been set up in Komiža Bay (Komiža Nautical Center +385 (0) 21 713 215). Contact the Komiža Nautical Center if you decide to visit the Mezoporat cove on the island of Biševo, where 20 buoys have also been set up.
Yachting routes that pass through the Split waters are by far the most popular on the Adriatic due to the magnetic attraction of this part of the Croatian Adriatic and the fabulous pearl-like islands that surround this city – Hvar , Pakleni islands, southern coast of Vis, Blue Cave on the island of Biševo. Gather your crew, opt for Split luxury yacht charter and direct your bow to the south.
Island of Brač
Along the way, many boaters want to swerve a little toward the island of Brač and the deep Milna cove, whose Italian name valle di mille navi is due to its legendary depth and the ability to host a thousand ships. Those who want to experience the local atmosphere of a small island town can spend their first night in Bobovišće cove where most boats moor, while lovers of calm, picturesque nature can sail to the southern shores of this stunning island.
Island of Šolta
If your cruise hasn’t started in Šolta, make sure you visit the island as the icing on the cake of your Split yacht charter. This island has similar yachting attributes as the neighboring Brač, but is much smaller and isolated. On island of Šolta , the most desirable destination among boaters is Maslinica, an authentic fishing village that today shines with new splendor and is the proud home of the most beautiful Croatian boutique marina Martinis Marchi .
We also warmly recommend a visit to the picturesque town of Stomorska or the turquoise southern coves that maintain a certain wild feeling to them and are ideal for all fans of intimate lovers of more mysterious moments.
Hvar and Pakleni Islands
Many boaters who opt for an early check-in during their Split yacht charter immediately decide to cover about twenty-five miles and conquer Pakleni islands, and spend time exploring this enchanting archipelago counting 21 islands, islets and cliffs. Pakleni islands – which sounds like hell islands in Croatian – do not justify their name and are actually as peaceful as you can imagine, seeing how they are actually named after a wood resin – paklina – found around here.
The largest island in this archipelago is St. Clement, and with no southerly wind all of its southern coves are true oases of beauty and pleasure. Stretching west to east, the spacious Soline, the turquoise Taršće, the slightly smaller Stari Stani and the most popular Vinogradišće coves lure with their charms.
On this list is also the too popular Stipanska cove on the islet of Marinkovac, whose vibrant and loud nightlife might not be everyone’s cup of tea. In any case, St. Clement is serene, criss-crossed with trekking paths that connect all its bays and are a great opportunity for an hour or two spent in nature.
Should you want a stronger ‘connection’ to the land, either due to unfavorable weather conditions or just in case, ACI Marina Palmižana and the northern shores of St. Clement are only a few miles away, and the mesmerizing beauties of Hvar are at your fingertips.
You can stay in this micro area of Hvar for several days, just like many local families have been doing for decades, but it would be a real shame no to go farther and get to know the entire island.
Vis and beautiful beaches
The southeastern side of Vis and a range of incredibly beautiful islands are only a dozen nautical miles away. We suggest that you first drop your anchor in Stončica, a sandy cove with turquoise water, and take a walk to the nearby lighthouse, among the beautiful in the Adriatic. In its immediate vicinity to the east lies Smokova cove, where even in the high season there aren’t too many boats, and which is known as an ideal destination for playing picigin, a highly addictive local ball game.

Later, you can visit the other sandy haven on the island – the nearby Zaglav cove, where you can indulge in a dive among the many fan mussels, allow yourself to be charmed by the surrounding turquoise or bask in the sun lying on the fine sand that this uninhabited cove is famous for. Right around the corner lies the town of Rukavac, whose northern side is covered in rocky shores, and whose much gentler southern side is a haven with white pebble beaches, like the beloved Tepluš beach. Both sides are suitable for anchoring (in the absence of southerlies) and are separated by a stone pier suitable for docking for vessels with shallow draft.
In case the weather forecast is favorable, spend the night in the turquoise lagoon that mourns the island of Budikovac. This island is a unique microcosm that doesn’t lose its peculiar character even at the peak of the yachting season. A local celebrity Andro Slavić lives in Budikovac all year round, where he has a real small ranch and a uniquely imaginative restaurant.
The next day, as soon as the sun approaches its zenith, let the magical colors of the Green Cave on the neighboring island of Ravnik spill over you. After that, visit another island delight – Srebrna beach, whose name – silver – is a misnomer, as the this cove boasts the most beautiful white pebble beach.
Sailing along the southern shores of Vis in the direction of sunset, you’ll find it hard to choose where to drop your anchor. Ruda cove lures with its almost Caribbean shades of blue, Mala and Vela Travna with imaginative configurations of rocky shores and silky miniature pebble bottoms, and the famous Stiniva is a true masterpiece of Mother Nature. This ‘cove in a cove’ is reminiscent of an exclusive pool, open 24/7 for the lucky ones.
Spend the night in the picturesque fishing village of Komiža if the sky is not frowning from the west, which is usually a sign of bad weather. Drop your anchor at the waterfront or tie your vessel to one of the many buoys, but wherever you stay, make sure you leave Komiža exactly as you found it.
Visit local beaches around Komiža, walk to the most impressive symbol of the town – the church of St. Nicholas, and if you want a unique adventure, rent a bike and conquer the steep, steep road to one of the most spectacular Adriatic lookouts, from where you’ll be able to chose where to turn your bow next. Vis luxury yacht charter is a ideal mixture of magical beaches, pristine nature and delicious local cuisine.
Biševo and Blue cave
You can complete your cruise with a visit to the magical Biševo island and the beautiful Blue Cave. A visit to this island some 40 miles toward the open sea almost always remains imprinted into the visitors’ minds ss one of the most beautiful memories from their Split yacht charter, which is why this very special, almost zen destination, deserves a special full-length feature.

One of the best in Croatia. Split is the largest city on the Croatian Adriatic Coast and a favourite starting point for many sailors, the main reason being its central location. This makes it an excellent base for exploring, especially the Dalmatian islands of Brač, Šolta, Hvar and Vis, but also Korčula, Pelješac and Lastovo to the south or the unique Šibenik-Kornati archipelago to the north.
With Yachts Croatia, you can charter a variety of yachts from Split, bareboat or crewed, ranging from the 10 meter motor boats like Antares 36 and popular catamarans like Sunreef 50 to over 40 meter long luxury yachts like Benetti and luxury sailing yachts like Clase Azul.
There are many things to consider when chartering a yacht, and the size of a yacht is the key factor impacting the price. In our charter section you can find motor and sailing boats, catamarans, luxury sailing yachts and luxury yachts. Through Yachts Croatia listings, a charter vacation on a yacht can range from a minimum of €16,000 per week (22 metre yacht Glorious) to a maximum of €210,000 per week (40 metre yacht Happy Me). The basic price of renting a luxury yacht includes the hire of the yacht, yacht’s insurance and crew service.

A Private Cruise Through the Croatian Adriatic’s Shades of Blue
Explore the Croatian Adriatic’s unique shades of blue with Goolet.
Split, Saints and Superyachts
The city of Split was like a ruler laid on the seafront, a manmade copy of the crown of mountain rock that crested the city and the tight, crescent-shaped port. That was my view, standing mid-deck of a yacht in that port, when I heard a voice behind me.
“Anything else?” It was Branco, the ship’s steward. At first, I wasn’t sure what he meant. In one hand I had a gin and tonic, in the other, a plate of cheese and Dalmatian prosciutto. In the crook of my arm, I had a book of short stories, and sticking from my pocket was a pair of binoculars. Anything else didn’t seem possible.
I thought back to what a friend had told me about Croatian hospitality. Warm but simple, he’d said: a country of farmers and fishermen. “Think of it as going to your family. You’ll be treated well, but don’t expect any above and beyond.” That no longer seemed true; it was all above and beyond.
I was traveling on Ohana, a charter mini-cruiser owned and captained by Josip Šerka and chartered by luxury operator Goolets. The ship was 160 feet of steel hull, one of Goolet’s six new Dalmatico Super (DS) Yachts touring the Dalmatian Coast—slow cruising superyachts that serve more people while using less fuel. A recent refurbishment had streamlined her interior, leaving 14 cabins—with two master suites and a VIP stateroom—a cinema, a children’s playroom and a fresh coat of azure paint.
Typical of a Goolets charter, there was no set itinerary; we could go as we pleased. That meant an easy jaunt around the islands beyond Split, chasing the sun.
Branco’s offer was only a taste of what was to come that night—a dinner of tuna steak and Croatian white wine, and fifteen-year-old Speyside whisky on deck as the night fell. The wind had picked up—a white bora, Branco told me, that came from the mainland, and would bring clear skies the next day.
He was right. It was a bluebird morning as we passed through the Split gates. From out the plane window, the islands had had the look of pancake batter spilled from the ladle—golden and crusty-edged against the blue pan of the Adriatic. But now, beside them at sea level, they seemed so close to one another, the open sea came as a surprise. There is always land; one island, then another, and another, and then, beyond it all, the distant blue shadow of the mainland.
The island of Brač was lumpen and foreboding, pine grove on taupe rock, with long, looping roads cuts into the hillsides. Mostly they led to farms—orderly columns of olive trees and grape vines, oil and wine being the two products of Brač . Tiny farmhouses sprung into view from behind folds in the hills and terraced valleys. We passed the pencil-point of Zlatni Rat, an apricot pebble beach poking out into the turquoise water. In this sluice between Brač and Hvar, the wind could be wicked, and there were kite surfers taking advantage, rising with their kites, and whirling with their boards in the air.
We anchored and took the dingy into Bol for some time ashore. After the evening on board, I was eager to stretch my legs, and there was just enough time to make the four-mile round trip to the top of Vidova Gora mountain. The noontime bells of the church were playing a galloping tune, and the smell of garlic and fried rice poured from open windows as I climbed up and out of the town. Striding past bluebells and poppies, I reached the summit. Below me were the banded hills of grey and olive green, and, at the shoreline, the nubbin of Zlatni Rat dotted with umbrellas and sunbathers.
Returning to the boat, lunch was, as always, hot and ready, the drinks cool and clinking. Slow-roasted pork belly, and large prawns cooked Buzara-style, in garlic and white wine. And Branco, quick with the ready bottle, attentive to the last.
We sailed through the afternoon to the island of Vis arriving into the horseshoe bay just as evening came, and the air cooled and the light became soft, turning the pale rock used to build the town into a blaze of gold. I strolled along the harbor, thick with masts, listening to the birdsongs of goldfinch, linnet and Eurasian sisken. The view out over the port from the baroque Church of St. Spirit was fine; what was great was sitting at the doorway and listening to the half-dozen babas within singing, and smelling the bubble gum of two young girls who whispered harshly to each other at the threshold until they were shooed away.
Vis was full of children and music. Children played a game of soccer down a side alley, minded little stands selling painted rocks, and fished off a narrow wooden pier. A young woman sat on the seawall doing needlepoint and listening to tamburica folk songs. A woman on the street sat with a display of music boxes for sale. I turned one crank and heard “O Sole Mio,” another was the Beatles “In My Life.”
Croatia has many saints, and a few I might have chosen that would have fit one of my past lives. There was Saint Jerome, patron of translators, and Saint Marinus the protector of bachelors. Aloysius Stepinac attends to students and farmers. But on this weekend cruise, I preferred Saint Vitus, the patron saint of sleeping in. When I awoke the next morning, we were already underway, and the island of Hvar appeared over my morning coffee and yogurt.
The Dalmatian Coast was once the domain of the Republic of Venice. Like Brač and Vis, Hvar was styled in the Venetian way—angular high, rectangular spires, archways and warehouses that spoke of some long-ago industriousness. Hvar town is given over to leisure now, the restaurants spilling onto the sunny cobbled streets, and happy crowds, their faces furrowed by the sun, climbing up to the curvy Fortica Fortress, and browsing the market stalls selling bags of lavender and filigreed gold jewelry.
Ohana was anchored in a protected inlet, the water so clear, the seafloor was visible even from the top deck. The ship had a plethora of toys—an inflatable kayak, a paddleboard, a sea-bob, a self-propelling surfboard—but I chose the Sea-Doo, small and versatile, something to give me speed and distance. I rode away from the ship, stopping before ducking behind an island, to turn about-face. There was Ohana, sleek and clean, and almost camouflaged against the island; its blue hull, brown trim, and white decks blended against the water, the flotsam, and the rock of the island.
I drove on, beyond the islands, toward the greater Adriatic. The water was continually new, inventing itself below me. Sometimes I was against the current, sometimes with it; sometimes ahead of the waves, sometimes behind. In places, the water was still, in others rippled or mottled. I felt as though I were not five feet above it, but one thousand. Finally, I stopped, the only sound the clop of water against my machine. The endless sea was ahead of me—the domain of St. Vitus, with no one, nowhere, to tell me what to do.
A week-long charter of Ohana for up to 30 guests costs between 90,000 – 120,000 Euros.

In the location of GOT’s Kings Landing, you will be transported to a medieval fortress, but don’t be misled by its ancient aesthetics, this coastal city has lots of modern amenities, including restaurants, spas, bars and more. Montenegro offers calm waters and stunning scenery. You will discover how old meets new in the Bay of Kotor as quaint fishing villages sit across from world-class marinas, high-end restaurants and glamorous bars. Take in these stunning sights and more from the sundeck of your charter yacht during an Adriatic charter.

Rent a Boat in Split Croatia and Sail Along the Adriatic Sea
Renting a boat in Split is an ideal way to discover its idyllic islands. Discover secluded beaches, watersports hubs, historic havens and much more on a relaxing cruise through this idyllic Mediterranean destination.
Make the most of your Split Croatia boat rental experience by opting for a yacht equipped with a skipper. A professional will allow you to focus more on exploring than on sailing!
Boats for Rent in Split
Renting a boat in Split is the ideal way to discover this captivating destination and its serene islands, as well as experience various water activities and add some adventure into your getaway by visiting nearby beaches, coves, or iconic attractions such as Diocletian’s Palace or Zlatni Rat.
Choose from an array of boats for rent in Split, such as sailing yachts, catamarans, motorboats and gullets. Many come complete with their own skipper who will handle navigation and sail settings so you can simply relax and enjoy your sailing holiday!
Cost to rent a boat in Split will depend on several factors, including vessel type, season and any optional services or amenities you want included – for instance hiring a skipper or hostess for your charter trip. On average though, private charter costs approximately $160 per day or $560 per week.
Timing your visit and boat rental correctly is also key when visiting Split and renting a boat. June to August marks Split’s high season, making this an ideal time for sightseeing, enjoying outdoor activities and engaging in outdoor recreation. Additionally, during this period the city becomes its liveliest with vibrant events and lively atmosphere to experience.
If you prefer a more serene experience, months just outside the peak season may offer ideal conditions. These months feature similar climate conditions as during the high season but with milder temperatures; perfect for relaxation and taking advantage of all that Split has to offer!
Make the most of your Croatia sailing trip by renting a boat that best meets the size and type requirements for you and your party. Click&Boat makes this easier, giving you plenty of choices to explore before making your decision – including holding onto vessels for up to 24 hours so you have enough time to arrange all of the details with the owner of each vessel!
Boats for Rent with a Skipper
If you want a boating holiday that allows you to fully appreciate Croatia’s sparkling blue waters from a unique viewpoint, renting with a skipper might be just what’s needed. Let someone else handle all the technical details so you can just sit back and relax onboard; or if you prefer independent sailing at your own pace a bareboat charter may also be suitable.
Discovering Dalmatia’s idyllic islands by sailing around with a yacht rental from Split can be an amazing adventure. Along your journey you may come across Brac, with its gorgeous beaches and coves as well as Bisevo’s Blue Cave; Hvar’s charming village; or Marjan National Park where wild landscapes await discovery.
No matter the route you select, your skipper will ensure to point out must-see attractions and hidden gems on your itinerary. Spend a day visiting Diocletian Palace (UNESCO World Heritage Site), or venture deeper into Split itself and its historic city center. A weeklong cruise will provide ample opportunity to discover Krka National Park or any number of natural wonders along its shores.
Nothing beats the excitement and tranquility of watching the sunrise over Split from your yacht’s deck. After spending time relaxing and rejuvenating aboard, return to your cabins for breakfast before preparing to discover some of Croatia’s most stunning spots.
Just beyond its stunning islands and seashores, Croatia boasts some of the most incredible historic cities that make for unforgettable visits on a yacht rental from Split. Be it Dubrovnik with its medieval charms or Korcula with its rich cultural heritage; Croatia will amaze you.
Between May and September is an ideal time for renting a boat in Split. These shoulder seasons will help you to avoid peak crowds while still enjoying comfortable temperatures while exploring Dalmatia’s breathtaking coastline.
Boats for Rent with a Hostess
Unleash your inner adventurer as you sail along Split’s stunning coast, boasting idyllic islands and beaches. Rent a sailboat, catamaran or motor yacht from BednBlue’s fleet and explore enchanting islands and hidden coves just waiting to be discovered! Or ask our travel experts for suggestions so your Croatian boating adventure becomes truly memorable.
If you want to rent a boat in Split during May to September when conditions are favorable for sailing, this would be your optimal time. At this point, the crowds that normally attend peak season have dissipated and you can experience its beautiful Adriatic coast more peacefully and without crowds of people crowding into town.
Consider whether or not you would prefer sailing with a skipper when choosing a vessel for your sailing adventure. Skipper-equipped vessels take much of the stress out of sailing, allowing you to relax and truly enjoy your cruise experience while crew members onboard take care of all technical details while you discover Croatia’s breathtaking coves and beaches.
An ideal option if you hold a valid sailing license and would like to captain your own vessel is bareboat chartering, from sailboats and catamarans with various accommodation options for an enjoyable week-long sailing holiday. Deluxe vessels provide spacious living areas, fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms and come with additional extras like hostsesses or snorkeling gear if desired.
Once you’ve found a yacht that meets your needs, book it online using Sailo’s convenient platform. Put boats on hold for up to 24 hours so that you can decide if they are ideal before booking them and add extras such as hiring a skipper/hostess, transfers between marinas, etc. to customize your quote further.
Boats for Rent with a Crew
The Adriatic Sea is an idyllic destination to sail through on yacht, and Split Croatia makes for a wonderful starting point for crewed charters with Sailo’s wide variety of weekly yacht charters ranging from bareboat (no skipper included) and captain or hostess-inclusive options. When browsing boat rentals in Split, simply filter by “Crew” to narrow your results so as to include those offering this feature on board.
An amazing Croatian sailing experience awaits with the right yacht and knowledgeable skipper! Secluded beaches to vibrant seaside towns provide endless sights during your Croatia yacht charter trip. Spend your days relaxing on board while taking in breathtaking Mediterranean coastline scenery; when it’s time for a break, explore ancient city of Split with its glorious ruins and charming cobblestone streets!
An ideal way to experience Croatia, boat rentals in Split offer both day trips and week-long sailing adventures alike. Marinas in the region make reaching breathtaking islands such as Hvar, Brac, Korcula and Vis easily accessible – you could also island hop to famous Blue Lagoon or Krka National Park where stunning waterfalls await!
Your ideal charter option depends on three variables: time of year, group size and type of yacht desired. In Split, ideal times for renting a yacht include late spring through early fall when temperatures are moderate yet not scorching and seas remain calm; these months also tend to have fewer tourists so that you can take in all that scenic beauty at your own leisure.
Many boat rentals in Split offer the option to hire a skipper and hostess to make your experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. Although this service comes at an additional cost, its worth considering all you can see and do with the help of this skipper on board – leaving you to focus on simply enjoying company of your guests and scenery instead!

Written by our local expert SJ
Sarah-Jane has lived in Croatia for 10+ years. SJ, as she is known, has been traveling the Balkans & beyond since 2000. She now shares her passion for traveling with her husband & kids.
Split, Croatia’s second-largest city, sits proudly by the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea and offers some of the best boat trips around. If you’re keen on an amazing day out on the water, these boat tours in Split are just the thing.
Whether you’re after a full or half-day tour, there’s something for everyone. These excursions aren’t just great for photos; they’re also perfect for anyone looking to dive into those suitable for swimming in the Adriatic waters.
Skip Ahead To My Advice Here!
Best Boat Tour From Split In 2024
With more than its fair share of rich history to explore, Split is the ideal spot to soak up what this slice of the Dalmatian Coast has to offer .
Make sure you spend a day of your itinerary embarking on an adventure on the high seas. With countless nearby islands just offshore, as well as sparkling bays and beautiful beaches scattering the sea, a boat day trip reveals lesser-trodden beautiful Dalmatian islands to discover.
Choosing boat tours from Split is easier said than done. There are so many options to explore this part of Croatia by boat , with a range of different itineraries, prices, and types of boats involved – from full-day trips on large tour boats to more intimate speed boat trips or gentle sunset tours.
Here are my suggested boat trips in Split (updated 2024) that have options for several islands around Split for one of the most beautiful days of your vacation in Croatia.
1. All-Inclusive Boat Trip To The Blue Cave Tour With Grilled Lunch
Duration: 10 Hours
Approximate Cost: $219 per person
Talk about deluxe: this is easily one of the best boat trips from Split, Croatia. While some of the tours that include 5 islands on their itineraries are a bit rushed, this 3-island tour allows you to take it more easily. This will be definitely one of the highlights from your time in Croatia, and – in my opinion – 100% worth the cost.
You get to go to a string of beautiful destinations spread along the coast, starting at Split and whisking you to Hvar , Vis , and Budikovac islands. Along the way, there’ll be chances to swim and snorkel in the crystal blue water and enjoy a freshly grilled lunch in a stunning bay. All that’s left for you to do is relax and soak up the scenery.
Find more details and availability of this tour here.
2. blue cave and hvar tour from split and brac.
Duration: 11 Hours
Approximate Cost: $141 per person
Even though it’s a 5 island tour (which can feel a bit rushed), I think this is one of the best tours in Split you can do by boat. Set sail from the ancient town on a small-group tour adventure. No overpacked boats here or big crowds, with a maximum capacity of 12 people.
First up, you’ll stop off at the Blue Cave , with its beautiful colors reflected in the sunlight. Then it’s onward to the island of Vis, where you can enjoy a good time exploring the charming fishing villages, have a swim, then have some breakfast (or brunch)
Your next stop is the famous Blue Lagoon. Here, you can admire the mesmerizing shades of blue while swimming and snorkeling (equipment is provided). For more marine adventures, you’ll swing by Stiniva Cove, where towering cliffs make for dramatic scenery.
You’ll then pass through the Pakleni Islands on your way back to Hvar.
3. Boat Trips From Split To The Blue Lagoon Trip (Snorkel Gear & Lunch Included)
Duration: 9 Hours
Approximate Cost: $64 per person
Time now for a more leisurely pace with this full-day 3 island Split boat tour. Starting at 9:30 a.m., you’ll leave Split behind as you head off on the high seas on a pirate-looking ship. The multi-stop tour sees you swinging by dreamy destinations along the way, including the Blue Lagoon, Necujam, Maslinica, and Ciovo.
There are plenty of chances to jump off the boat and swim in the crystal-clear water, and with snorkeling equipment included, you’ll be able to explore undersea as well. Not only that, but a delicious lunch is also served – featuring unlimited wine and soft drinks. It’s not particularly billed as a party boat, but I would say that with the free alcohol involved, it could get somewhat lively!
4. Full-Day Catamaran Cruise To Hvar & Pakleni Islands With Food And Free Drinks
Approximate Cost: $128 per person
If you’re looking for catamaran tours in Split, look no further. This fun excursion provides an unforgettable adventure as you cruise to Hvar and the Pakleni Islands from Split on a catamaran. Relax aboard the luxury catamaran, get to know your fellow passengers, and enjoy the view as you stop off in the bays, coves, and beaches of the beautiful Islands.
Lunch is included, and there are unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks available. In my opinion, it’s possibly better for younger travelers – groups of friends and those flying solo alike – who want to let their hair down, have fun, and experience this beautiful stretch of the Dalmatian Coast.
Brands We Use And Trust
5. half day tour to the blue lagoon, čiovo, & labadusa beach.
Duration: 5 Hours
Approximate Cost: $87 per person
If you don’t want to spend a whole day island hopping – maybe you don’t have that much time to spare – then you may want to note down this short Croatia sailing boat tour. It’s a half-day adventure with a small group on a speedboat: a super fun way to get around.
This tour will see you hitting up some of the most famous sights in striking distance of Split. These include the Blue Lagoon, the historic town of Trogir , Ciovo , and Labadusa Beach. The guide is fun and friendly and makes sure that every stop is as enjoyable as possible. For me, it’s definitely a good one for those with a more limited itinerary. Happily, it’s also relatively cheaper than other tours.
6. The Best Party Boat
Duration: 6 Hours
Approximate Cost: $54 per person
I think this is the best Split party boat currently running. If you want to spend your day out on the beautiful ocean, drinking, dancing, and socializing, then this party boat will be ideal for you. It’s certainly not the cruise for you if you’re looking for something quiet and relaxing.
When you’re not popping bottles of bubbly or diving off the side of the boat, you and up to 190 other passengers will be whisked to the Blue Lagoon and other hotspots. The boat itself is huge, set over two decks, complete with its very own dance floor and a DJ booth. There’s a fully stocked bar, too, of course.
Not bad at all for party animals, considering the very affordable price (though the booze is not accessible or unlimited).
And once the party at sea is over, the fun continues with the bonus of free access to a nightclub in Split for an afterparty to remember (or not!).
7. Split: Captain’s Blue Lagoon Boat Party With Live DJ
Approximate Cost: $55 per person
If the party trip above didn’t float your boat, here’s another option. Again, this is one of those Split boat trips that are more for groups of friends who want to let their hair down. Think DJs, dancing, and beautiful beaches – everything you could wish for in a summer vacation.
You’ll be heading to the Blue Lagoon for fun times with like-minded fun-seekers. There’s one welcome drink included in the price, after which you can buy additional drinks from the bar onboard.
8. Three Island Tour From Split
Duration: 8.5 Hours
Soak up views of the Adriatic islands as you cruise to the Blue Lagoon and Solta . It is one of the best Croatia sailing tours for those who want to have fun but not necessarily go completely wild. The boat itself is a bit more sleek than others, with sunloungers and a welcome drink included.
Along the way, you’ll be treated to live commentary from your guide, stop off to swim and snorkel in the sparkling sea, and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on board (included in the price). It’s the perfect way to spend a sunny day while you’re vacationing in Split.
9. 3-Day Croatia Cruise From Split To Dubrovnik
Duration: 3 Days
Approximate Cost: From $350 per person
If you really want to explore the coastline, then this epic 3-day cruise Croatia tour from Split to Dubrovnik is for you. Unlike other cruises, this excursion is like a vacation within a vacation and is ideal for those who have more time to spend during their Croatia trip.
Along the way to Dubrovnik, this cruise stops off at a string of incredible destinations along the Adriatic Coast, such as Makarska and Mljet National Park . There are plenty of chances to stop off and swim, admire the scenery, and explore ashore, with plenty of historic towns and natural wonders to discover.
So, while everyone else is getting the Dubrovnik-Split catamaran, you can instead be treated to the lap of luxury on this multi-day coastal adventure.
10. Blue Cave, Vis & Hvar Full Day Island Trip By Speedboat
Approximate Cost: $110 per person
This Hvar Island tour from Split by speedboat is a whole day packed full of seafaring and sightseeing. Beginning in Split, you’ll hop aboard small boats for the ideal Dalmatian Coast itinerary. There’s time spent cruising by the Pakleni Islands, a stop-off in Hvar Town with its centuries of history, and the chance to swim in the blue cave.
Being a full-day tour, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to take in all the sights (so you won’t be rushed like on some of the 5-island tours, for example). At the Pakleni Islands, you can stop off and swim in the turquoise sea; snorkeling equipment is provided if you want a view under the waves. In Hvar, you can hop ashore and climb the medieval Fortica Fortress for sweeping views of the old town and the Pakleni archipelago.
11. Sunset Cruise With Live Music
Duration: 2 Hours
Approximate Cost: $76 per person
Have yourself an evening to remember as you embark on a sunset cruise from Split. This short excursion begins by taking in views of Marjan Hill as you cruise below it before continuing onwards to the bay of Kastela, where you’ll get to lap up the coastal vista backed by mountains.
As the sun starts to set, you’ll get to enjoy live music on the open deck while the professional crew serves up a free-flowing selection of wine, beer, and soft drinks.
It was a fabulous experience all around – and a perfect moment to admire the Adriatic sunset.
12. Krka National Park, Local Cuisine And Wine Tasting Tour
Approximate Cost: $40 per person
For something a little bit different when it comes to excursions from Split, how about a visit to Krka National Park ? This day touor first takes you by bus to the national park itself, where you’ll have time to wander the boardwalk and lap up nature before boarding a boat. You’ll sail along the Krka River to Skradin, where you’ll get to explore the town and its panoramic views.
The tour also includes a stop off at a local winery (which I’d say is a bonus!) and a visit to Plastovo Village , where you’ll have a chance to sample some of the local produce before returning to Split.
13. Five Island Full Day Speedboat Tour Featuring The Blue Cave & Hvar
Duration: 10-12 Hours
Approximate Cost: $140 per person
This five-island tour is a small-group excursion aboard a speedboat for a fun-filled adventure. With music along the way and friendly staff, the tour is a high-energy, sociable day out that’s good for a small group of friends – or even solo travelers.
The trip takes you from Split (or Trogir) to visit the five islands of Hvar, Ravnik, Budikovac, Vis, and Bisevo. Particular highlights of this whirlwind tour include a visit inside the glistening Blue Cave, snorkeling in Stiniva Cove , and exploring the idyllic fishing village of Komiza.
This Croatia boat excursion is definitely for people who want to travel on a fast boat – a tour suited to fun-loving, thrill-seeking visitors.
14. Brač Island & Šolta Island Cruise With Swimming
Duration: 7 Hours
Approximate Cost: $113 per person
This boat trip from Split to Brac and Solta islands is an easygoing adventure, taking you to two of the hundreds of islands littering the coastline here – this means a leisurely pace. Departing Split at 9:30 in the morning, you can relax as you cruise to the island of Brac (this takes around an hour).
You’ll then have more than 2 hours to spend lapping up the beauty of Brac , with chances to swim, sunbathe, and snorkel in a secluded bay.
Around lunchtime, it’s time to head to the island of Solta, enjoying a delicious grilled lunch on the way. Your afternoon will be spent on Solta in a charming fishing village. Here you’ll have free time to swim or wander around the village, lapping up the local life.
Finally, you’ll arrive back in Split at around 4:30 p.m.
15. Blue Lagoon & Trogir Half-Day Speedboat Tour From Split
Duration: 4.5 Hours
Approximate Cost: $67 per person
This small-group, half-day speedboat tour ticks a lot of boxes. Not only is it good if you’re short on time (or if you don’t have a good set of sea legs!), but it’s also great if you don’t like the idea of a fully packed boat. The professional tour has room for 14 passengers aboard a sleek speedboat, which will see you zipping around the azure seas of the Dalmatian Coast.
The first thing you’ll do is head to the Blue Lagoon, Split’s famous natural watery wonder. Then, it’s onward to the UNESCO World Heritage Site , which is Trogir’s old town. Here, you’ll have time to stroll around the narrow streets and see the iconic historical sites such as St Lawrence’s Cathedral.
As far as half-day trips from Split go, this is one of the better ones. It’s reasonable, and you get a good chunk of time in both locations.

16. Cruise On Columbo’s Pirate Ship “Santa Maria”
Duration: 1.5 Hours
Approximate Cost: $42 per person
For a bit of a themed tour around the Croatian islands of the Adriatic Sea, here’s your chance to head out on a pirate ship. It’s actually quite a short tour – just an hour and a half in total – so if you’re traveling with small children or don’t have much time to spare, I’d say this is a good option.
The journey, nevertheless, is fairly comprehensive. It sees you heading to beaches along the Dalmatian Coast, including Kasuni Beach and Bacvice Beach, with a stop to swim and snorkel, too. As with many Croatia boat tours, refreshments are included in the price, as is snorkel equipment.
17. Private Boat Tour Split – Custom Itinerary
Duration: 9 Hours
Approximate Cost: $390
If you’re looking for real indulgence, here’s your chance to rent a boat in Split – complete with skipper – and head out along the coast following your very own itinerary. Chartering a boat is an excellent option if you’re traveling as a family or with friends, as there’s enough room for up to 7 people on the voyage. So, in reality, it works out more reasonably priced than some of the organized tours out there.
Snorkeling equipment is provided, but unlike other tours, you’ll have to bring your own food and drink if you want to enjoy a meal along the coast. Or you could (and I like this option better) ask your captain for recommendations and stop off at a restaurant along the way! Your captain will also be on hand to take you to some hidden coves and spots not seen on other organized tours.

Split Cruise Tours FAQs
What are Split cruise tours?
Split cruise tours come in all shapes and sizes. Usually, they take you from the ancient city of Split to see a whole host of coastal beauty located in the vicinity, from coves to hidden beaches.
They’re really popular, and most vacationers choose to spend at least one day of their trip to split soaking up this part of the coast. Then again, some cruises are all about partying, and some are multi-day trips to further afield ( think Dubrovnik ).
What are some popular sites you visit during a Split cruise?
The classic itinerary for Split cruise tours includes the Blue Cave, the Blue Lagoon, the Pakleni Islands, and Hvar. There are other places besides, and the itineraries vary. For example, when the Blue Lagoon is too busy with tourists, you’ll be whisked to alternative hotspots instead.
How long do cruises from Split usually last?
Many cruises from Split last between 8 to 10 hours – a lot of them are billed as full-day tours, after all. There are some half-day tours, which typically last between 4 and 5 hours. If you opt for a cruise to somewhere further afield – Dubrovnik, for example – then you’ll be looking at several days rather than hours.
Are there guided tours available during cruises from Split?
Yes, sometimes. In some cases, the onboard tour guide or captain will provide commentary and details of the various sights that the tour passes by or stops at. Other times, there will be options to set foot on shore and be guided around a destination; usually, this is on longer cruises.
Do the boat tours run all year?
No. Most of the day boat tours only run in the summer months (high season is July to August).
How to book Split cruises online
It’s simple! Just click on the link and get booking. GetYourGuide and Viator are well-trusted websites for all your tour booking needs, allowing you to choose the dates and times that fit your schedule.
