Motor Yacht

This 2009-launched newbuild ice-class motor yacht (55m / 180ft) is a strong example of the Liebowitz & Pritchard ethos of custom-tailoring luxury designs to reflect each owner’s singular vision - aesthetically, functionally and spatially. In total, the project represents an extraordinary example of fully one-off yachtbuilding.

 Conceived as an imposing and timeless ship with its own distinctive identity and authenticity, this yacht is in many ways is a “romantic explorer”, with softer forms than many hard-lined commercial “expedition yachts. Nevertheless, the visual architecture of this heavy-displacement motor yacht relates a lyrical idea of “controlling the space around it”, instead of bending to the whims of fashion or trend.

Constructed in Cornwall, UK, at Pendennis Shipyard Ltd, the vessel employs state-of-the-art systems, fitout, and equipment – much of it bespoke. Massively built in steel with aluminium deckhouse and upperworks, the 700ton vessel enjoys superb sea-keeping abilities due to fine lines and substantial inertia. Rounded stern underbody effectively aids ship stability in following seas. At anchor, four Quantum Zero-Speed stabilisers attenuate roll substantially.

Exterior features include imposing high prow, functional “work deck” forward, hydraulic Rondal elevating crow’s nest, expansive sundeck, hydraulic side “beaches”, 29ft jet Owner’s tender (amongst others), active-current spa pool, sophisticated boarding systems, and sculptural rounded stern.

Inside, the unconventional layout offers splendid mahogany and lacquer joinerwork, unique intimate lounges, dramatic “tall” dining salon, unique gymnasium deck, and bespoke furnishings to compliment fine antiques and objects.

55m Lürssen M/Y Moon Sand arrives in London

Formerly known as project 13800, the new 55.5 m motoryacht built at Lürssen, M/Y Moon Sand , made her way up the River Thames to Tower Bridge after leaving the shipyard in Germany.

Moored just downstream of the London landmarks Tower Bridge and the Tower of London the instantly recognisable Moon Sand spent a week at the heart of the City’s financial and historic centre.

Lürssen is known for manufacturing the largest yachts in the world but is also actively targeting projects in the 55 to 75 metre range. Moon Sand is a first step in reestablishing the brand as a serious shipyard for yachts in that size bracket as well.

The designers, Bannenberg & Rowell , gave Moon Sand her very distinctive lines for experienced yacht owners who had very precise requirements and a developed sense of spatial awareness and colour. The result: a fully bespoke Lürssen engineered yacht in this sweet spot of the yachting market.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 4,500 nautical miles from her 115,000 litre fuel tanks at cruising speed. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Amigos has a good selection of water toys and accessories to entertain you and your guests whilst on charter. Take to the sea on a Jet Ski offering you power and control on the water. In addition there are towable toys offering fun and adventure. Additionally, there are two Jobe Hemi waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Amigos also features a seabob, wakeboards, fishing equipment, scuba diving equipment and paddleboards. When it comes to Tenders, Amigos has you covered - with two tenders, including a 11.5m/37'9" Whitmarsh Chase Tender.

Jaw-dropping luxuries owned by Denny Hamlin: A look inside the NASCAR driver's extravagant lifestyle

D enny Hamlin has set himself apart on the race track with his extremely competitive pace and hunger to win. But apart from that, the #11 Toyota driver is also seemingly 'winning' in life as well.

With an estimated net worth of around $65 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth), Denny Hamlin has manage to gather the luxiries of a lifetime, from an exquisite car collection to private jets and million-dollar yachts.

Hamlin's garage consists of a 2008 Lexus LS460L and a customized Porsche Panamera. But that is not where it stops, the collectors' items kick in with the 1967 Lincoln Continental and a super-rare Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition. Notably, only 50 of such models were made.

Adding to his love for speed is the VanDutch 40.2, a $2 million-dollar yacht. But that is not where it ends, he also co-owns a private jet.

Denny Hamlin has seemingly made some of the smartest investments in his life, but none of them tops the deal he stuck with NBA Legend Michael Jordan in 2021. The two superstars own 23XI Racing, a Cup Series NASCAR team that is the home to current drivers Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick.

He resides in a mansion in Lake Norman in North Carolina, which is valued at around $10 million. It is equipped with some of the most magnificent choices of interiors.

Constructed on the edge of Lake Norman, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver's mansion seems to be a work of the future, featuring state-of-the-art resources.

Denny Hamlin has an indoor area where he can glance at his car collection anytime. But when he is not doing that, it is rather easy for him to travel across the home in the in-built elevator, make his way through a well-equipped basketball court and a gym, and perhaps find some time for bowling with friends.

The architectural masterpiece features a two-lane bowling alley along with the unbelievable devices mentioned. Additionally, it is also equipped with a private dock connected directly to the lake and a helicopter pad. It is quite apparent that absolutely no details were left in the construction of his mansion.

Denny Hamlin continues to be one of the most competitive racers in the Cup Series. Although he hasn't won a championship yet, 54 victories in his bag don't seem to leave him out of the top drivers' list. He recently revealed an aim to have at least 60 wins before retiring from the sport.

53m Sanlorenzo motor yacht KD sold

The 53-metre motor yacht KD has been sold with Geoff Moore of West Nautical representing the seller and Barnard Blossier of BB7seas representing the buyer. 

Built by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo and delivered in 2018, the extended Steel52 series' exterior is by Officina Italiana Design and interior is by Tiziana Vercellesi . She was a finalist in the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards 2019.

Accommodating up to 12 guests in six cabins, the broker said, "she radiates tranquility, class and sophistication, with a range of innovative features resulting in the ultimate seafaring haven". The windows in the main deck owner’s suite have been customised to open, allowing fresh air and gentle noises from the surrounding natural environment in.

The remaining four guest cabins are located on the lower deck, comprising two spacious VIPs and two doubles – with Pullman berths – which can also be configured as twins. There are quarters for a crew of 11 in five cabins.

KD ’s interior features leather, parquet, marbles, silk wallpaper, ebony veneers, mother of pearl inlays, and crystal handles throughout the guest areas, complemented by loose furniture from Fendi, including sofas, chairs and cushions in both the interior and exterior.

A glass-bottomed swimming pool, with sun pads either side, is the highlight of KD 's aft deck. Sliding doors open into the open-plan saloon with its bar and dining area. On the sundeck is a Jacuzzi with a bar and grill amidships and plenty of seating and tables for al fresco dining. At night, the deck can be transformed into a party zone with lights, a smoke machine and additional speakers.

Natural light fills KD' s beach club from the glass-bottomed pool above on the main deck, "instilling a sense of calm throughout the area". When deployed, the beach club boasts freestanding furniture and a bar area, forward of which is a large gymnasium with Technogym equipment. The spacious swim platform can be extended with inflatable platforms.

The 499GT yacht had completed her five-year ABS class survey and benefits from refit work in 2023. KD has a top speed of 18 knots and cruising speed of 12 knots under twin MTU diesel engines, and her cruising range is 4,000 nautical miles. She comes with a drive-in floodable garage for her 7.5-metre limousine tender, "uniquely fitted with Bentley lights", and has been privately used by one owner since new.

Recently relocated from Turkey to Italy, KD was asking €33,000,000.
