Transformer was one of the key words during the first meeting with the owner of Mystere Shadow . This word defines the scope of the design, that is to create a Yacht capable of changing its function and appearance while satisfying different purposes . … Read More The mutation of the yacht was one of the most relevant aspects which drove all the choices concerning the design. Mystere is meant to store a large number of tenders during navigation, and to be a floating fun island during days and nights at anchor. It can be considered a beach club, a resort on the sea, a disco on the water, an island or simply a place where friends and family can relax. Exterior and Interior design joined together becoming one single force. The owner’s briefing was clear and intense. A pencil became an uncontaminated power, drawing what the owner wanted. A few concepts were sketched out during the first week of intense work putting on paper all the dreams and ideas. Nine months later the new Mystere was delivered. This is what happened during the refit process of the 50m Mystere Shadow vessel carried out between winter-spring 2010-2011 . The refit time was so short that it was impossible to rest, the ideas had to continue pouring out, drawings were needed for imminent construction. The project could be called, Nine Months of Adrenaline just to give an idea of the great number of heart beats pounded during the entire design and building process. Shipyard Monaco Marine put a great effort in delivering the vessel in time, giving me and my team the possibility to experiment new ideas which grew daily, until the last minute, the last call, the last emotion before hearing the heart beats slow down at a normal rate when the delivery day arrived. The Mystere Shadow superyacht has been relaunched following a refit at the Monaco Marine Shipyard in France. The vessel was originally constructed by US-based yacht building firm Candies Shipbuilders in 1981. Pastrovich Studio redesigned the yacht's interior and exterior portion with Robert McFarlane serving as the Naval architect. The project involved expansion of the vessel from 47.55 metres to 50 metres while transforming it from a working vessel to a luxury superyacht. The remodelled vessel features a spacious spa on its lower deck while its upper superstructure has been extended to house a large day lounge wrapped up by a fixed bimini. The revamped yacht also features an expanded aft bathing platform with installation of a Jacuzzi. There is a new disco in the hangar that holds the tenders of the yacht during navigation. The hangar can be converted into a disco in the night with its ceiling adorned with disco lighting, laser and a smoke machine. The spa in the lower deck of the vessel features the Hammam, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Gym, Tropical and Ice shower and beauty massage space following the facelift. The refurbished spa further comprises a convertible area to meet recreational, relaxation and eating purposes. The upper deck of the vessel has been redesigned to accommodate a spacious day lounge. The lounge features a loose sofa and table which can be converted to meet requirements of relaxing in the Jacuzzi, dining and sleeping. !{Model.Description} !{Model.Body} Q&A: Alison Kitchingman, MillikenRelated news.
