For those planning to hire a car or take a taxi, you’ll find Help Beach at the bottom of a hill via a winding road, complete with free parking just right outside.

If you’re staying in Fethiye, the beach club provides a highly convenient option to travel – a free shuttle boat service. Isn’t that idyllic? 

You may have seen the announcements on their Facebook page, where they’ve been building up the excitement around this unique transport option.

You can access this shuttle boat service from Uğur Mumcu Park, identifiable by two oblong orange banners proudly displaying the word ‘Help’.

Arriving at Help Beach by Boat

The boat journey to Help Beach promises an adventure of its own. Initially, the boat trips were contingent on having a minimum of six passengers onboard.

However, thanks to the growing popularity of Help Beach, this is rarely a problem.

If you do get the chance to be on the boat, be prepared for a hearty chuckle or two from the friendly boat crew!

The shuttle boat trip to Help Beach is estimated to last about 40 minutes, but as we say in Fethiye, the journey is part of the destination.

You’ll get to soak up the beautiful scenery as the coastline unfurls around you. 

As you slowly enter the bay and your destination comes into view, you’ll no doubt be charmed by the stunning spectacle that is Help Beach.

The combination of the turquoise sea, sandy beach, and the inviting beach club is a sight that greets you warmly.

Entry Fee on Help Beach & Yacht Club

Wondering about the cost of spending a day in paradise? Well, the good news is that it’s more affordable than you might think.

On our visit to the scenic Help Beach & Yacht Club, the price for an entire day’s access, including a sunbed and parasol, was 350 Turkish Lira per person.

Let’s break that down: For just 350 Turkish Lira, you get a comfortable sun lounger under the shade of a parasol, perfect for unwinding, basking in the sun, or catching up on that book you’ve been meaning to read. 

But that’s not all. This fee also covers your access to the club’s top-notch facilities and the private beach.

Quality is a byword at Help Beach & Yacht Club, from the excellent beach amenities to the top-rated customer service.

Given this, we found the entry price to be very affordable and excellent value for money.

After all, can you really put a price on relaxation, the cool sea breeze, and the feeling of sand between your toes? We don’t think so.

Private Beach Access

The beach club offers exclusive access to a private beach.

This is never crowded due to the restricted access, so you can swim and sunbathe at your leisure without the usual hustle and bustle of public beaches. 

While the waters may feel chilly initially, they offer an excellent respite from the scorching Turkish summer sun, particularly between June and August.

While the price point is slightly higher than what you might find in Fethiye Old Town, the quality of the food, the generous portion sizes, and the unmatched beach view make it well worth the cost.

A personal recommendation is the chicken pesto pasta – a truly delicious dish!

For many visitors, the highlight of Help Beach & Yacht Club is the expansive beach bar.

This space, imbued with the same bohemian decor as the restaurant, offers a stunning vista alongside a variety of seating options, including quirky chairs, comfortable sofas, and even swings.

The bar menu is just as varied as the seating, featuring a range of beverages that includes cocktails, beers, spirits, soft drinks, and freshly squeezed juices.

The prices are reasonably set, particularly in comparison to other beach clubs in Turkey. The cocktails, deliciously crafted and averaging around £10 each, are a must-try!

At-Lounger Service

One standout feature of the dining experience at Help Beach & Yacht Club is the at-lounger service.

I f you’re lounging under a parasol and craving a drink but don’t want to leave your comfortable sun lounger, simply press the button at the top of the parasol. 

A member of the staff will promptly arrive to take your order.

When you’re ready to settle your bill, press the ‘bill’ button, and a staff member will arrive to process your payment.

This convenient service adds an extra level of relaxation and luxury to your beach club experience.

Help Beach Club provides an idyllic environment for a day of relaxation and fun. Here are some tips and suggestions to help you make the most of your visit:

Duration of Stay

Help Beach Club is an excellent place to unwind, whether in the morning when the weather is typically cooler, or in the afternoon leading up to a breathtaking sunset.

The venue is designed to  facilitate  extended stays, with the 350 Lira sun lounger/entrance fee allowing you entry for the entire day. 

You can plan your visit according to your preferences: opt for a few hours in the afternoon as we did, or turn it into a full day’s outing. Whatever your choice, the experience is sure to be memorable.

Arrive Early

To secure the best sun loungers located by the shore, plan to arrive early in the morning.

This is particularly important during the peak season months of July and August when the beach club gets busy. 

An early arrival not only ensures a prime lounging spot but also  allows  you to enjoy the tranquil morning ambiance.

Prepare for Pebbled Beach

The beach at Help Beach Club is pebbled, with some sharp rocks and stones underfoot. If you plan to spend time in the water, consider bringing a pair of water shoes to protect your feet and ensure a comfortable experience.

The challenge with the local beaches in and around Fethiye, and every Turkish beach destination in the summer months, is that they get really busy. If you’re looking for a relaxing beach day where you’re guaranteed a sun lounger with your own private space, with plenty of room to move around, we recommend checking out one of Fethiye’s exclusive beach clubs.

When we visited Fethiye this summer, we spent the day at Help Beach Club, which is rated as the number one beach club in the area. In this guide, we’ll talk about Help Beach club in more detail, from its facilities, to the restaurants and bars, and of course, the beach! What are Turkish beach clubs?

Beach clubs are privately own beach venue where guests pay a small entry fee to gain access to an exclusive beach for the entire day. Often, there isn’t a fee to enter per se, but you have to reserve a sun lounger. Beach clubs are a great for those who aren’t keen on the overly packed ‘free’ beaches. They provide a more comfortable beach day, with plenty of amenities on your doorstep.

Unlike beach clubs in other destinations, many beach clubs in Turkey are family-friendly, with less of a wild party atmosphere compared to the likes of Ibiza.

Help Beach Club overview

Help Beach Club is a small beach club that’s hidden away in a quiet cove, located a 10-minute drive from Fethiye marina. Its secluded beach location has been transformed into a beach club haven, with plenty of loungers, Bohemian-style décor, a quirky restaurant and plenty of beach facilities.

The beach club also hosts a variety of events and DJ’s, playing different types of music each day of the week.

What’s the vibe at Help Beach Club?

We visited during the day and found the vibe to be very laid back and relaxing. It’s a family-friendly atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. As the sunsets and the evening arrives, the atmosphere picks up and there’s more of an upbeat vibe, especially if visiting on weekends or for a special event.

How to get to Help Beach

The best way to get to Help Beach is either by hiring a car or jumping into a taxi. It’s around a 13-minute drive from Fethiye Old Town making it really accessible for anyone staying in town. It’s also well located for anyone staying in Oludeniz, Calis, or one of the other nearby beach resorts.

The beach club is located at the bottom of a hill on a winding road. It also has a free parking right outside if you’re bringing your own car.

How much is the entry fee?

When we visited, we paid 200 Turkish Lira per person for a sunbed and parasol for the entire day. This also included access to all the facilities and use of the private beach. The sunbeds were extremely comfortable and we think the price was very affordable considering the quality of the beach club.

What are the facilities at Help Beach Club Fethiye?

You’ll find all of the following facilities on offer as part of your entry/sunbed fee.

There is one open-air restaurant that’s located opposite the bar. There’s plenty of seating for you to choose from, so you won’t be hanging around waiting for a table. The restaurant has a bohemian-style theming throughout, along with chairs that feature the name of famous actors on the back. We thought this was a great added touch!

The menu at the restaurant is quite extensive, catering to all dietary needs, from pizzas and pastas, to sandwiches, wraps, burgers and classic Turkish dishes. We thought the prices were reasonable, considering the stunning view of the beach you get. It’s a little more expensive for a meal compared to Fethiye Old Town, but not overly so. Portion sizes were also very good. We opted for the chicken pesto pasta and was delicious!

The best part of the beach club for many is the beach bar! The bar is a huge area where you can enjoy a drink or two with a view. It features quirky seating arrangements, sofas, swings and the same bohemian décor of the restaurant. You can choose from delicious cocktails, which average around £10 each, beers, spirits, and a range of soft drinks and freshly made juices. Again, prices are quite reasonable. We visited a few other beach in Turkey and they were very expensive! Help Beach was cheap in comparison.

Top tip: if you fancy a drink, but don’t want to get up to order at the bar, you can make use of the at-lounger service. Press the button at the top of your rented parasol and a member of staff will come and take your order. Equally, when you want to pay, you can press the ‘bill’ button and the staff will take payment. We found the system extremely handy!

Relax on a sun lounger

The sun loungers are incredibly comfortable, unlike the standard hard beds that you often find at public beaches. These sun loungers are well padded and have a small pillow that you can rest your head on. If you’re looking for a relaxing day listening to music, reading a book, and simply taking in the wonderful scenery, then you’re in luck!

Go for a swim

One of the beauties and attractions of beach clubs is the fact that you have private access to your very own beach. It’s never busy as access to the beach club is limited. There’s always space for you to take a dip or a swim. The water is quite chilly when you first get in, but it does the job in cooling you down from the baking Turkish sun, especially during the months of June – August.

Beach swings

Another great touch at Help Beach are the wooden swings located next to the shore. It’s a great place to sit down and watch the world go by, or take an ‘Instagramable’ picture.

Water sports

Beach clubs aren’t always just about relaxing, they’re also a good place to take part in some fun water activities! The beach club offers water sports such as parasailing, jet ski rental speed boat rides. They also have a floating platform where you can chill and sunbathe on. Visit the dock area on the beach to enquire about water sports bookings. We didn’t try this ourselves, but spoke to plenty of people who did.

Changing facilities

You won’t need to head back home sandy, covered in sea water, as there are shower facilities at the beach club. You can even bring your shower gel and shampoo if you wish. There are also changing facilities and toilets within the same area.

If you’re looking for a more party atmosphere and fancy a night out on the beach with friends, then be sure to check out Help Beach’s events calendar on their website. They regularly host summer DJ events with music ranging from Hip Hop and Latino dance, to trance and EDM.

What are the prices like?

The prices are fairy reasonable compared to some other beach clubs we visited in Turkey. A meal will cost you 100 – 250 Lira. Drinks are equally as reasonably priced. We found the prices similar compared to Fethiye restaurant costs, with cocktails being the most expensive. Local beer and wine are pretty affordable.

How long should I spend at Help Beach Club?

Help Beach Club is a great place to relax, either in the morning when the weather is more pleasant and slightly cooler, or the afternoon until sunset when it’s too hot to sightsee. You can even choose to make a day of it! It’s completely up to you. The 200 Lira sun lounger/entrance fee allows you entry for the entire day, so you can stay for however long you wish. We personally spent a few hours at Help in the afternoon and enjoyed a spot of lunch.

Our top tips for visiting Help Beach Club

• Be sure to arrive early morning if you want to grab the best sun loungers by the shore. This is especially the case in the busier months of the year (July and August).
• Bring a pair of water shoes if you’re looking to spend time in the water. It’s a pebbled beach and has some sharp rocks and stones, so you’ll want to protect your feet.
• If you’re looking for a more up-beat experience at Help Beach, we suggest arriving just before sunset and on a weekend. Mornings have a more laid-back, family atmosphere.
• Take advantage of the at-lounger service button and have your drinks and food brought to you.
• If you’re a larger group, you can reserve a cabana for the day.
• If you like a drink, leave your car at home, as the cocktails are amazing! Taxis to and from Fethiye area quick, easy and affordable.
• Renting a boat? Ask your skipper to help you dock and make a great entrance to the club!

• Help Beach Club is rated the top beach club in the Fethiye area.
• Prices to rent sunbeds, a parasol and a table are affordable compared to other beach clubs. Equally, food a drink costs are very reasonable compared to other beach clubs. Others we visited were very expensive!
• The staff are really attentive and are always wandering up and down ready to take your order.
• The quality of the food and drinks are really good, and affordable too!
• There are pebbled areas of the beach, which can be quite uncomfortable to walk on.
• The road is a bit tricky to drive down, as it’s located at the bottom of a hillside. We don’t recommend walking as it will take quite some time. Either drive or jump in a taxi.
• The vibe of a beach club isn’t for everyone. You could visit one day and find it to be busy, loud and party-fuelled. Other days are a lot more laid-back.

What a beautiful find. This place is so relaxing. White sand. Blue sea. Great food and drink. And if you fancy it, water sports and inflatable assult courses. Something for everyone.

This place is one of the best beach clubs on Fethiye. The service is good, staff is very friendly. The beach is not that big but water is crystal clear and the facility is very clean.

Staying in Oleduniz or Thenteye and looking for things to do? You need to check out Help Beach! Forget visiting those standard boring pebble beaches – and get to this Hawaiian beach with a sweet vibe!

Help Beach separates itself from most of the other beaches in Turkey. And it’s no wonder why.

After visiting here, make sure to check out the Oludeniz Blue Lagoon !

Here’s why.

The water is crystal clear and is perfect for snorkelling and swimming. The food here is delicious! Not to mention the cocktails are actually good, unlike a lot of bars in Ölüdeniz. It has an awesome atmosphere with classic Ibiza chill out music running in the backdrop (obviously up to you if you want a little dance).

Don’t sleep on it though, sun beds fill up very fast!

Where is Help Beach?

Help Beach is located just a 5-10 minute drive from the centre of Fethiye. It takes 25 minutes to get from Ölüdeniz to Help Beach in a taxi.

You could hire a scooter if you wanted to.

Let me tell you the food here is amazing! Delicious and fairly priced. The menu has everything you could want. Perfect for vegetarians, meat-eaters, health lovers, and hearty food lovers!

What is the Help Beach entrance fee?

$0 it’s free. However, you will have to hire a bed for $6. This fee gets you the bed from 9am to 11pm. Also, you will have to pay $6 for the umbrella.

We didn’t know you had to pay for the umbrella until the end of the day. And to be honest, we wouldn’t of got one – let the rays tan us 🙂

How to get to Help Beach Bar?

Getting to the beach is easy and you have a few ways to get to Help Beach and Yacht Club. Here’s how;

• You can hire a scooter. We didn’t do this but it’s how I would usually travel around. You can pick up a scooter for cheap, however, you will be required to hand over your passport as a deposit.
• If a scooter is a little uneasy, you can rent a car or quad bike and make your way to the beach.
• Taxi, this is one of the easiest ways. You will only have to pay around $13 to get from Oludeniz to Help Beach in a taxi.
• Boat trips in Fethiye and Oludeniz are very popular. And you can get a boat tour to Help Beach.

Can you see the sunset there?

Yes of course, the sunset is beautiful! And I would definitely stay for that if you can. The bar shuts around 11pm so you can dance the night away under the setting sun. Awesome.

This is by far the best beach I’ve seen in Turkey. I visited Marmaris but here was a lot nicer!

Lovely sandy bay on the coast of Fethiye. There is no entrance fee but you pay for sun beds which are the same price as others in the area. Very nice restaurant serving a wide variety of meals with vegetarian options. Blue cheese burger was... really tasty with sides of chips and salad at a reasonable price. Beach is beautifully clean with a range of water sports on offer and inflatables in the sea suitable for older children. Staff were really friendly and helpful, only negative was a very insistent staff member selling massages who really would 't take no for an answer. More

Me and my friends visited here on our road trip and were generally impressed. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced for the portions, although we had a small problem with the service. We weren’t checked on much so would be waiting for sauce, or... drinks etc. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy and were often around the bar/kitchen talking. Also, the menu listed a beautiful American cheeseburger with bacon! As I live in Turkey I was super excited for my bacon burger, only to find out it was ham. Overall we liked the place, the exterior is lovely and food was nice enough! More

We were recommended to visit this beach and we are so glad we made the visit. Not overly busy, includes a bar, restaurant and music so you can make a day of it! Sandy beach and warm sea! Staff were friendly and working safely wearing... masks. You get your temperature checked upon arrival then you are taken to a sun bed. You pay a small fee for sun beds and you can also pay for the food and drinks on your tab at the end of the visit before you leave too! I would say if you visit during busy seasons pre book a sun bed just in case. More

We have been going to the Help beach club since it moved from Olu Deniz to its current location, and this year was not a very good experience. The location is stunning, however, they are overcharging for the sunbeds and umbrellas, we paid the same... price in Greece and Ibiza! The food is still very good, however, the service is appalling. We ordered drinks on our sunbeds, they 'forgot' my daughters drink, when she questioned where it was they were quite aggressive in telling her she never ordered it, we had all heard her request it. Later, we ordered a jug of Sangria after waiting over half an hour we questioned where it was after a considerable wait the waiter said they had run out - It would have been nice to be told so we could change our order. We will not be returning, overpriced, poor service, which is such a shame as we love the food here. More

We have had good experiences here in October and June. July was a different story. Slow service is an under statement. 30 minutes for the table to be cleaned, another 20 for a baby chair requested multiple times. Food arrived all at different times and... cold. Children's food is 40 lira, didn't mind in the past as good sized portions. This time he had about 10 pieces of penne pasta! There is only 10 lira difference between that and the adult portion so you would expect better (and in the past it was better). When we complained the waiter (acting like the manager) told us not to come again if we dont like it and was extremely sexist (apparently women shouldn't complain... that means we are irrational). Honestly unbelievable. This is an expensive beach club, but in the past we didn't mind because we felt the quality justified the price. Not anymore. I could cope with the bad experience if they had apologied and treated our complaint seriously rather than being derogatory towards me. To top it off, they were not following the guidelines for businesses to operate during Covid-19, bathroom hand sanitiser was empty and never refilled. Tables not cleaned unless you asked. Kitchen staff not wearing masks. Avoid, if you prefer to be treated with some respect and care about your safety during this strange time. There are better beach clubs around. The only positive I can think of is the beach staff were good and polite. They apologised for how the restaurant staff behaved, but our day was spoiled at that point, we left as we felt so uncomfortable following the confrontation in the restaurant. Overall just really disappointed as this was somewhere we intended to visit regularly. More

Lovely beach with showers, you pay 750 TL for 2 sun beds and an umbrella. There is a keypad attached to your parasol which consists of buttons to request waiting service and to pay your bill, they also had a QR code to scan for... the menu but they didn’t have Wi-Fi which was a shame, and the button to order drinks either wasn’t working or we we didn’t press it for long enough? The sea is beautiful and very clear, can see the bottom as you walk in, which is sandy as you approach then turns to a few pebbles and before you know it you can’t reach the bottom so barefoot is fine. You cannot bring your own food/drinks to this beach as it is private so you have to use the two bars situated there, food was really nice but drinks were a little expensive compared to the usual local bars (expected as it’s isolated) the staff were helpful when you ordered but didn’t feel it was service with a smile, it almost looked like a chore to be serving at times, which however didn’t ruin the experience as the food and drinks came quick. Overall nice beach and good day out but can be expensive as it’s a 20/25 minute taxi journey plus mandatory purchase of food/drink/sun beds we ended up spending around £100. so we visited Help Beach club 3 times in 1 week during our trip - this was my first time visiting this beach club, but my 6th trip to this part of Turkey. can genuinely say that Help is one of my fave ever spots... in the world now, me and our group of 8 really enjoyed our days at Help! it's such a gorgeous setting, i don't think pics do it justice - all of the decor is so well thought out and beautiful, even the bathrooms are a wonder! i absolutely loved the aesthetics of this beach club. The views are absolutely stunning, the sunset view is worth staying for too! We did 2 half days and 1 full day at the beach, ate breakfast, lunch & dinner there, all meals and drinks were great - really good value and huge portions. In my opinion the bed costs and food costs are really the same as anywhere else decent in that area so i don't understand the negative reviews on the prices. I think what they offer is amazing for the price. A fab place, with so many food options to suit any taste, really lovely helpful staff, a beautiful setting, so many different areas to spend time in. We also hired kayaks twice and enjoyed that! Enjoyed the music in the background too. Can't wait to visit again! More

Used the bar/restaurant when it was in Oludeniz and loved it so we got a speedboat from the Tui Sensatori in Fethiye where we were staying this year. The beach is lovely and the water very clear, its a very nice beach. The toilets were... clean and plenty of hand sanitizer available. The food was good but I didn't like it being served on a wooden board,not very hygienic especially in these times. Rather difficult to get the attention of anyone to order drinks and easier to go and sit at the restaurant/bar. Drinks and food prices ok although sunbeds a little expensive for Turkey. We will no doubt return at sometime in the future for a nice relaxing day on a nice beach More

Help Beach is beautiful, especially if you go early in the morning (and have a reservation during peak periods - I arranged this via Facebook messenger). Before 11am it’s lovely and quiet and even when it does get busier it never feels overcrowded. We visited... twice, once on a Tuesday and again on a Sunday. The food is really great and the staff friendly and approachable. As a family of 3 we spent about £50 both visits for 2-3 loungers, lunch and ice creams. I had a reservation for a third visit but I ended up cancelling it. The reason being that when we visited on the Sunday, it was the day after one of the regular weekend parties had taken place at night. The evidence of the party was unfortunately floating in the sea for us the following day. We came across a plastic cup, plastic bag, deflated balloon, bottle wrappers, cellophane wrappers from cigarette packs as well as other random pieces of paper etc. On our first visit we’d noticed a couple of random pieces of rubbish floating in the sea, but it was much worse on the Sunday. It’s a shame because it really is a beautiful spot, and it’s at risk of being ruined by litter. I cancelled my reservation for a third visit and chose to swim in the crystal clear waters of our villa pool instead that day. I would visit again in the future if I was in the area, as I know from research that it’s one of the nicest bays in the area and it doesn’t suffer from overcrowding like so many others. I just hope they’ve done something to prevent the sea being treated like a dustbin by then. More

Arrived at 10am after pre booking my beds for the day with my husband and 4 young children. We had a nightmare with beds initially, but that got sorted and then we went into the restaurant for brunch. We got seated and they made us... wait 20 mins and still no menu after asking twice, they then said we had no reservation and sent us out of the restaurant and tried giving us new beds at the back of the beach, when we already had beds right along the front row. This issue finally got resolved and then they let us back in the restaurant because apparently they only allow people in restaurant who have beds at front….. which seemed odd but there you go!! They sat us down in the restaurant at a table and basically left us for 20 mins with no service, again, I asked twice for some drinks, they said please wait so I waited again and still nothing so I just said let’s go this is a joke, the restaurant was not even busy! The man that sorted our beds come up to me on our way out as obviously he could see us leaving really good beds behind and asked what are we doing so I explained we’ve basically been sat in that restaurant for nearly an hour and nobody coming to us asking if we even want a drink, The man apologised and we left. I have been to Turkey many times and can not complain on service in most restaurants/bars but that today was something else, the service was appalling and I will not be returning even in such a beautiful setting. After seeing how busy Oludeniz main beach was we decided to check out Help Beach club. It more than exceeded our expectations. We didnt book but went early, 9am, and managed to get 4 sunbeds for the family. The place was empty and the sea... flat calm. We managed to have a great swim and snorkel and check out the whole place before it began to fill up. Even when all the sunbeds were full though it never felt to busy. The food was excellant and we loved the background music too. Yes, it was expensive but for the day,sunbeds,food drinks, and icecreams for 4 we spent about £75. More

My husband and I visited on our last day of our holiday before returning home that night. We were shown to an allocated sunbed, how this is worked out I have no idea. It is a nice clean beach and the water is very clear.... The toilets were also clean. There is waiter service at your sunbed if required. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good and not too expensive. We spent in total £46 for 2 sunbeds, 4 cokes 2 smoothies and a meal each. It was the perfect place to end our holiday. The only downside were the guys at the entrance who arrange transport. As we had to be back at our hotel for a particular time my husband wanted to book a taxi. He was offered a private transfer for 280tl which was a lot more expensive than the taxi (170tl) we had arrived in. My husband declined the private transfer but was told a taxi would be booked for 4.30. We arrived 5 mins early and we were acknowledged by the man who my husband had spoken to earlier. We sat and waited and waited. A family arrived who were going near our hotel and were offered the private transfer for 160tl. My husband queried this but no one could understand English! A taxi arrived we assumed for us as we had booked but no. At that point we queried what was happening as we had booked and needed to be back at our hotel. At that point a phone call was made for a taxi for us. I would suggest if you need to leave at a particular time, you make your own transport arrangements these guys cannot be trusted. More

There are private cabanas you can hire in the hills, tables at a restaurant or more than plenty of daybeds on the beach and on a sandy area. The food is some of the best looking that I have seen since I’ve been in turkey (9 days now!) I have to give special mention to the cheeseburger that we ordered. My favourite part of this place is the vibe and the staff. They are so friendly and accommodating and lots of fun! We have decided that we will come back and stay around the corner from here after our sail so we can spend a couple of days here More

This is an incredible beach club. The service is equivalent to first class. The employees are well organized and always available. We made reservations in advance and were instructed to arrive before 11am. After 11am reservations for that day are cancelled and the chairs become... available. This club has everything - restaurant, bar, ice cream station, hookah, changing rooms, showers and a small stand selling beach accessories. The food is really good and we loved our lunch. The water gets deep several feet from the shoreline. There is a lifeguard on duty and banana boat and other water activities available for a price. We spent all day here and it was worth every penny. The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.

What was considered a frivolous pastime during the time of the Soviets has become the latest trend for the stylish set. These days, there are countless options around Moscow to practice golf, polo, ski, yachting, and other sports alongside 5-star hotels, luxurious country houses, and magnificent villas.

The game of golf is a sport that requires passion and expertise. It is also part of a culture that considers this pastime a synonym of social prestige and exclusivity. In recent years, the new Russian elite has turned to golf as a vehicle of integration in the era of globalization. Golf courses are also meeting and socializing spaces where Muscovite tycoons can relax and also seal business deals.

The Moscow Country Club, Pestovo Golf & Yacht Club, Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club, and Zavidovo Golf Club, PGA National Russia are some of the most exclusive and elegant golf courses in Russia. Some of them have made it to the list of Top 15 golf clubs in the world, a source of great prestige for the country.

The first 18-hole golf course built in Russia, Moscow Country Club, hosts the exclusive PGA European Tour. Located just eight miles from the city center, this luxurious facility was created by architect Robert Trent Jones Jr . The design takes advantage of a typical Russian birch and spruce forest to provide a natural environment of extraordinary beauty.

The Pestovo Golf & Yacht Club is 18 miles from the heart of Moscow, close to historical monuments from the 17th and 18th centuries. Designed by famed architects Paul and Dave Thomas , this 18-hole course is part of a complex that includes a yacht club, an equestrian center, and a health and wellness facility. Pestovo Golf & Yacht Club is Russia’s version of a classic country club with multiple attractions.

Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club

This park is among the best in Eastern Europe and was awarded the 2014 World Golf Award as the best golf course in Russia. Located 25 miles from Moscow, it is part of a vast complex featuring an 18-hole golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus , a polo club and a mountain ski club with four tracks. The design combines classic Scottish, Alpine, and English features in a dreamy landscape.

Zavidovo Golf Club, PGA National Russia Zavidovo Golf Club, PGA National Russia

Less than 60 miles from Moscow, this golf course with a definite Scottish design is the only one in Russia recognized as a PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) from Britain and Ireland. Located in an ecologically pristine area on the banks of the Volga River, the Zavidovo Golf Club embodies the spirit and appearance of the legendary Scottish golf courses. Its many springs and streams, hills, forests, swamps and lakes justify its reputation as a very demanding circuit. Last year, it entered the exclusive club of the 15 best golf courses in the world.   ■
