About this Boat

She has a spacious interior that will accommodate a small family of 4, in two double cabins.

Original gel coat, GRP construction with non-slip on deck, Bermudan sloop rig, tiller steering, fin keel/ballast stub, wooden handrails.

There is a separate toilet compartment with a sea toilet and a shower. The galley area is equipped with a 2 burner gas hob/grill, hot and cold water sink and a storage cupboard.

Sails (bagged and labelled), alloy mast and boom, stainless steel pulpit, warps, fenders, manual bilge pump, safety equipment, gas heating, depth and speed log, battery charger, shore power and many extras.

Boat Safety Scheme Certificate valid until March 2025 and a recent insurance survey report is available.

Powercell electric motor running, but may require attention. Mercury 6hp long shaft outboard.

Pegasus 800 Sailing Yacht for Sale.  Built in 1984 "Rodia" is a solidly built fin keel cruising yacht with a good turn of speed.   This particular example has benefited from many upgrades in her present ownership, including Webasto heating system, stak pak, Garmin Chart Plotter, VHF and much more. Sadly we need to disclose there is a known fault with the Volvo engine, we understand the head gasket and the manifold need replacing and the estimated costs to repair is £2,500.  The valve seats and pushrods are all good. There was a chemical toilet on board which has been removed and will need to be replaced, and the owner uses a portable stove for cooking.  The broker and owner have priced the boat to reflect this, but offers will be considered. This is a great little boat, and once repaired, she will make someone a lovely cruising boat.

I am very pleased to be able to offer this wonderful example of the ever popular Pegasus 800 sailing boat, with a valid Boat Safety Certificate to December this year. She was lifted for antifouling May 2019 and is currently stored ashore.

These boats have a great pedigree and following and are very popular. This example looks to be very well looked after and loved by her owner of the last 11 years. She has only had two owners from new and this is evident everywhere you look. The boat is clean, bright and very tidy and well equipped with a good selection of sails (2 x main and 2 x jib) . She benefits from Webasto warm air heating (2016) for those cooler days and nights and a very sociable and comfortable saloon with aft galley layout with Origo spirit stove. She also benefits from the flexibility of two quarter bunks. The large folding saloon table lowers to convert the saloon to a large double giving great flexibility. She is being sold with all hardware including mooring stakes, ropes, fenders, life jackets, stainless steel mast A frame and wooden mast rests. The forward manual sea toilet was fitted new in 2020.

Her rigging all appears to be in good condition and all sails are bagged and labelled and stored forward. With the mast lowered she needs about 2m for clearance.

Nanni twin cylinder 14hp inboard diesel engine (2008) with saildrive (seal renewed 2021). Freshwater heat exchanger. 10 gallon fuel tank. 2 blade propeller. Cruising speed under engine is around 4 to 5 knots.

Alternator charging to 2 x 85 amp/hr 12 volt batteries.

Plastimo compass, Navman 3100 echo sounder, Incastec Maxilog, NASA Target windspeed and wind direction, Searanger VHF radio, hand held VHF, Bush FM/AM radio, windvane at masthead, Magellan FX324 chart plotter/GPS, Garmin 128 GPS, Firdell Blipper radar reflector, brass clock and barometer, navigation lights and tri colour masthead light.

She has a 240 volt ringmain. Her galley has a spirit cooker with 2 burners, water supply to sink from 10 gallon flexible water tank. Her forepeak has a sea toilet beneath the berths, blue fabric upholstery and blue carpets. ACCOMMODATION She has 6 berths including 2 “V” berths in the separate forward cabin, her saloon table lowers to form a double berth with a single berth opposite and a further quarter berth.

OWNERS COMMENTS

“Firefly” was purchased by her current owner in 2002 and has been used for coastal cruising. Her owner has constantly maintained the boat to a good standard and has added new items such as the new electric anchor windlass and mainsail, also the new inboard diesel engine fitted in 2008. She has the benefit of a March 2009 survey report, it should be noted that her Saildrive diaphragm was changed in 2021.
