While they like to reserve the majority of the moorings for passing boats, they usually have a more appealing month-to-month cost. And, if you want to anchor, there are still lots of options.

Hurricane Season in Florida

The marina’s location and storm policies are also important factors to consider when looking for a marina. Don’t think you’ll be fine if you leave your boat in the slip. Even if the insurance provider does not demand it, every Floridian should have an emergency plan in place before time. A few marinas have built-in “hurricane holes” where you will be able to leave your boat safely. It should have heavy-duty pilings atop floating docks and be sheltered from all directions from winds and tides. Does Boatsetter screen renters?

Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

Celebrated my 40th alongside my family on David and Emma’s catamaran and it turned out better than I would’ve ever imagined! Emma was the best captain and she was even more awesome with the kids. We went during spring break and their recommendations on where to go with the kids was just perfect. David was great with communicating with me since before I even booked the trip, and answered all the questions I had promptly. We all had such a great time, made so many memories and will definitely be booking with David and Emma again!!

We booked David's boat for a bachelorette/30th birthday party and had a BLAST. David, and his daughter, Emma, were absolutely amazing. They were easy to get in contact with and responded promptly. Their boat was modern and perfect for what we were looking for. They even added some decorations and heart shaped sunglasses! We thought that was so thoughtful. If you're looking for a boat in St. Pete beach, I highly recommend this one!

We had an amazing day on board with Kristal & Captain Deren's ship. They truly enjoy what they do and it shows in their hospitality, attention to details, and the vibe they created on board. Thank you again and see you soon for another great sail. ❤️

I had an amazing time with my friends on this boat! It was exactly how I wanted to celebrate my birthday! The boat was super clean and perfect size for the six of us, and the sound system was amazing so we danced so much lol Everything was super seamless, including booking and communicating with Brandon; I could tell he really wanted me to have the best celebration and I appreciated that! Spending time at the sandbar was so nice too. Seriously, just book this! You‘ll be so happy you did!

Can you Bring Drinks and Food on one of Our Boats?

Rest assured you are permitted to bring your own drink and food with friends and family, only requirement is that the captain driving the boat does not consumer any alcoholic beverages.

What gear will I need on the boat?

All boats require life vests and mandatory by the US Coastguard. Infants and small children are required to wear life vests at all times while driving a boat.

Do I have to be a good swimmer ride on a boat?

Some swimming ability is required. But mainly you will be on the boat so you wont have to swim however should wear a life vest at all times.

At Abe’s, we want to you to have a fun boating experience. But your safety is always our priority. That’s why there are a few important requirements you need to meet before we’ll hand you the keys to one of our rental boats.

Our fleet is located at friendly, fun and festive Cape Haze Marina . Start your adventure at the marina, or we offer free delivery* to your dock in Englewood, Manasota Key, Palm Island , Little Gasparilla or Boca Grande .

If you begin your day on the water from Cape Haze Marina you can enjoy the marina’s extraordinary amenities, including:

We’ve got you covered! we can provide you with a list of certified captains that have been vetted out to ensure you have the best experience on the water.

Captains range from $40-60 per hour. The typical rate is $50 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours. After a good experience, our customers usually add a tip consisting of 15-20% of the boat rental. 

Wether you are looking for a relaxing day just cruising or a day filled with excitement from tubing and island hopping, a captain allows you to have extra freedom to enjoy your day on the water.

The boat was perfect, clean, and in the best condition. We went to the sandbar and spend a wonderfull Day. These was the second year that we rent with Klaus and always a memorable experience.

Klaus met us at the ramp right on time, gave us instruction and recommendations and we were on our way. We went up and down the coast, ran into a couple schools of dolphins, and swam on sandbars. We then stopped up in Anna Maria island for a late lunch and headed back down to the ramp. Klaus was there to greet us right on time. There were no unexpected charges and Klaus was great to work with. We will definitely do this again next time we’re down here.

Off the Hook Boating!! Klaus was super accommodating and friendly. It was really nice to find an affordable boat rental place close to us. Everything on their website makes it easy to understand, and we were more than prepared to rent the boat. Thank you!!
